1. Hmm... I got to TheOtaku by typing 'www.pokecheats.com'. I wanted to find out how to get a mew, so I could trade it for my chancey card back. (I'm surprised I remembered the names. >>; ) Well... I saw a button that said 'Chat', so I clicked it, and began chatting. I became an op there a few months later, so I began coming more and more often. While I was going to the chat one day, I clicked the wrong button, that said 'Forum'. But then, I remembered going to a forum a while back, so I decided to visit. I've been here for less than a year- One year on May 14th. ^_^
2. I look for greener trees, and grass. I can't really expect the weather to get too much warmer here, since it's the same all year. However, there were like, hundreds of sailboats and kites along the beach yesterday. The weather was around 71 yesterday. I guess that's a sign of Spring. ^_^; For some reason, I always want to exersize alot more in Spring. Yesterday, I played soccer with my daddy for the whole afternoon. ^_^;

Silence

Astree smiled, and opened the door. The car wasn't in the yard, so she supposed her mother had left. Marth stepped inside, then Creig, then Neil. Shalistrae hesitated before going inside, and sniffed the air again before stepping in as well. Astree went in last, and shut the door behind them. "Sorry for the mess. Just wait in the living room. I'll go get you guys some food."
4. *twitches* Zoids? I really wish they replaced it with a better show. I absolutely loathe Zoids. Well, I remember watching an episode of DBZ a few weeks ago, and I was totally lost. I haven't seen most of the Kid Buu saga, soo... ^_^; Hmm... I guess it's about time DBZ was cleared off the list. That way it makes room for a few other anime. However, I really wish they brought back Tenchi, or something that wasn't already on the list, instead of just filling up two spaces with the same thing.
5. Hmm... I've never been mean to my crush before, but... Just tell him you like him when he asks you directly. If anyone makes a big fuss out of it, and keeps teasing you about likeing him or something, just casually ignore them. But being mean to your crush isn't going to make him like you more, though. You should try to talk to him more, and get to be friends instead. I know it's not the easiest thing to do. ^_^;
6. Hmm... I had a friend a few years ago, who was only allowed to watch Disney movies... Her parents thought Pokemon was evil because it ment 'pocket monsters'. They also didn't let her watch Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and any anime. They didn't like Lord of the Rings, because of the Silmarillion, since it was like a middle-earth bible. And they were afraid her younger brothers and sisters would think there really were elves, and a tree gave off light. - .-;
7. I haven't played it yet, but I've been watching people play it at the Sony Metreon for a while. The graphics look amazing. I really enjoy the graphics in the game, and the brightful-ness of the characters. There's always people playing it though, so I've never been able to get my hands on it yet. >>; But then... I need to get a playstation first if I'm going to buy .Hack. - .-;

Rapture

First of all, here's a list of everyone who made it in. Final Flash: Khagrash DeathKnight: Kenneth Juuthena: Laitina The Harlequin: Rali Raiye: Tasamer Ajeh: Selkis Rhys Mayiessen: Shayleigh Lady Asphyxia: Edonae James: Sabel Sorry it took so long! ^_^; --------- ~*Amarth I daul imdùath in elgladhrim*~ The council smoked their long-necked pipes patiently. It had been a month since they had sent the ravens. The seven sat amongst themselves in a throng, silently. Each of the seven were wise, and had all recieved immortality. Beren, the wisest of the seven, wore a hooded robe, and an ivory mask upon his face. The mask showed no expression, neither anger, fear, happiness or pain. It showed feelings, yet it explained his life. He wore an amulet of gold, with a hawk engraved into it. Suddenly, two ravens flew inside the stained glass windows, perching under the belltower of Istgùl overhead. Three more flew inside, letting out squaks and caws of exaustion, after flying for weeks to find the recipents of each letter. Beren lifted his chin slowly, as if waking from a dream. "They should arrive within four days." Beren spoke, unmoved by the reckless clamor of the birds. "Those who do not arrive by then are dead." "Indeed. Those who arrive alive will prove themselves worthy of this mission." Istaiel added, eyes fixed at the gate. "It is a dangerous road to take to come here. Most will die before they reach the gate. Our borders are riddled with mountains, and the path will be steep for those on horses." "And the hawks. They will attack anything that reaches these borders." Beren stated, calmly rising from his seat. Beren walked to the gate, with his hands behind his back. The darkness began to wane as the crimson rays of dawn crept over the peaks of the snowcapped mountains to the east. His eyes lingered to the east, then west, then to the south. There was stil no sign of those who had recieved the messages. ----- Laitina's horse slowed to a trot as they found themselves at the rim of Pelinbor, the white mountains of Istgùl. Pelinbor ment 'white hand' in Elvish. People used to fear to go through the mountains, for those who entered the labyrinth never returned. There was word amongst her people that there was a river, full of skulls of those who had fallen from the cliffs of Pelinbor, and the hawks could be seen picking at the bones at daylight. There was a tablet of stone which marked the southern edge of the mountains. Engraved in the tablet, were the words 'Amarth I' in Elvish. "Doom is..." She read out loud, stroking the smooth letters with mystery. Laitina felt a chill in the air as a light breeze whispered through the trees. She shuddered, and tugged on her horse's bridle. It moved forward, as Laitina pat the horse on its side encouragingly.
9. Wow! I really liked it! ^^ I especially like how you didn't repeat words often. That made it alot more interesting to read. ^^ However, the color of your text hurts when you're reading long entries. >
10. Hmm... not bad. 7/10 I like the way you made the words rhyme, but I think a few words can be taken off to make the stanza flow a little easier. ^_^; I can't write poems at all, soo... *curls up under desk*
Originally posted by BabyGirl Nicole Kidman is just way cooler than her :bow:
*nods* Nicole Kidman's my favorite actress! ^^ I'm really glad she won. I didn't reconize her the first time I saw the previews for 'The Hours' though. Her eyes looked familar, but I couldn't quite make it out. ^_^;
Bob Fosse died in 1987 :bluesweat:
Oooh. ^_^;;; *feels stupid*
Originally posted by OlgaTheDwarf I have a gigantic grudge against this movie; it won best picture over LOTR:TTT.
Yeah, at first I was pretty upset too... = / However, after seeing Chicago, I actually think it deserved it, even though I personally enjoyed TT better, too.
12. I've befriended one or two people I had ever met before. ^_^;; I was just at the movies, and I was waiting my order of curly fries. There was a tall guy standing next to me, and I was by waiting by myself for the food, while the other people I went with were buying tickets, and going to the bathroom. I was already three or five minutes late for my movie, so I kept looking at my cellphone. He just looked over at me, and asked me what movie I was going to watch. So I just replied, "Umm... the Two Towers. This is my seventh time going.". He laughed, and told me he was going to see the same thing, only this was his first time. He began asking me how the movie was, and began telling me how much he enjoyed the first movie. We got into a pretty nice conversation about Lord of the Rings, and we told each other our names and he took a seat a row in front of me in the theater. I was kinda nervous while I was talking to him, though. ^^; After the movie, we waved to each other, and he took the bus home.
Originally posted by Mist I LOOOOVE Chicago! I thought Richard Gere did a great Job. (Humph...) Catherine Zeta Jones was good, but I have a complaint about Renee Zellweger. She had no boobs for the dresses she was wearing! None at all. She had an okay dress, but other than, the movie was great.
*nods* I agree. >>; I just got back from the movie, and it was fantasic! Bob Fosse did an excellent job, and all of the dance scenes were really, really amazing! It had the same feeling as Moulin Rouge with all the colorful costumes and backgrounds. (During dance scenes). ^_^; I especially loved Cathrine Zeta-Jones. She was great at singing, and she seemed to fit perfectly for her character. I didn't think Reneè Zellweager would be so skinny in the movie, though. >
15. Mmm... I was wondering... It gets really frustrating when you write someone a reeeaally long PM, then find out either your, or the other person's PM box is full. And if you press the back button, the whole message disappears. = \ Soo... is there any way to put a little sign or text saying the person, or your PM box is full? Just a suggestion. ^_^;
16. Well, I really, really loved the Radio when I lived in Galveston. In Galveston, you didn't really need CD's. oO; There was a mix channel that everybody listened to, and to me, it's the best music station. ^^ It had a really great mix, with alternative, rock, techno/dance, pop, hip-hop, R&B, and a evenly sorted lowstream and highstream bands playing all the time. ^_^ The shows at 9:00 were hilarious, too. Usually, I can't stand radio shows, but this one had like, where they would scramble up seven songs. They'd play one second of the song, and you had to guess them. Also, they had 'Make your momma cuss'. It was where you prank-called your mom, and tried to make her cuss. ^_^;; I didn't really have to buy any CD's until I moved to San Fran... Most of the radio stations here are either all metal, all rap, all techno, or Sheryl Crow-ish songs. Since I prefer a variety of music, I finally got my Kazaa to work! ^^ I think I downloaded around 37 mp3's during the first day. o.o;
17. I hear it every morning, and it's a little too depressing for my tastes... = \ It gets stuck in my head lots though, and it drives me crazy! >
18. Hmm... Is Anahiem closer to LA? If it is... it'll take me alot of A's to get my dad to drive me there. - .-; I live right smack in the middle of San Francisco, sooo... I thought it'd be near the Metreon though... u.u I might be able to go. ^_^; The tickets are no problem, and I like dressing up. ^^
19. Well, nudity isn't really a big deal in Japan. ^_^; For example, they have public baths, which is a very customary thing in Japanese culture. I've actually been to hundreds of them, and no one really makes a big deal about seeing other people naked. (There are two seperate rooms, (one for girls, one for boys), and they're actually really, really big.) Sooo... seeing anime characters naked doesn't really bother them either. Unless it's like, hentai. o.o; That's a different story. ^_^;
20. I like listening to Anime music once in a while. I can't stand just listening to songs without lyrics for too long, though. >< I don't really have any anime music downloaded on my Kazaa except for 'Tank!' from Cowboy Bebop. ^_^;
21. I'm really glad it won. ^_^ I really wanted it to win, since I saw it three times! ^^ Chihiro is so cute, and I absolutely loved the ending. I'm curious, did Disney dub it? The dubbing was actually pretty good. ^_^' (Though I liked the Japanese version better...)

Silence

Astreè studied it, stroking the unique, detailed design engraved on it. It felt both cold and warm at the same time. There was an odd, chilling vibe emerging from the armlet, while the warmth of Shalistrae's hand still remained. Astreè smiled, and admired it once more. After all the queer events that had been happening, she had forgotten all about her own birthday... She turned, and saw the two men who had been at her house earlier. Both waved to her mother, and drove away. The fog, luckily, had drifted further west. The tense lessened between the group, creating a calmer atmosphere. Shalistrae folded her arms on her chest, and glanced around. "There were two police at my house earlier. They weren't chasing after you, were they? They talked about something chasing them earlier." Astreè teased, smirking at her old friend. "Of course not. If I wanted to kill them, I would've thought of a better way than that." Shalistrae replied, unmoved. "Besides, they'd be dead."
23.
Originally posted by Justin I have to refer to this analogy onnce again: If you lost a loved one in the attack on 9/11, or if you lost a loved one in a terrorist attack funded by Saddam, would you still not feel the need to act?
Well, many of the families of the victims of 9/11 also joined the protest against the war. By the way... I was just looking in my social studies book today, and I never really noticed how close Umm Dabagiah and Çatal Huyük were to Baghdad... = \ >;
24. Hmm... I'm not reeeaaal sure about the third movie yet. = \ My least favorite of the three books was RoTK... I'm real anxious about seeing the ending, though. I'm really curious whether or not they'll include the afterward. (You know, about Aragorn and Arwen getting married,
Faramir and Eowyn getting married
...etc.) Also, whether or not they'll be talking about
Dregol and Smeagol
. ^_^
25. Omg!! I loved Hard Boiled!! My dad brought the video home about... six months ago, and it was really, really kewl! I watched it in Subtitles. I really want to learn Chinese. >>; Anywho, I really loved the ending. I loved how they sent the gun in the roses. That was really clever. ^^;
