2.
Originally posted by ChibiTrunks "The Ultimate Lover Of Leggy!"
eeeeee!! Count me in!! *runs up to Lauren carrying a Leggy poster* The Fellowship of the Ring was awesome. I hate myself for not seeing it in theaters!! >
  3. School= Yes. Homework= No. I really like school, because it gives me something to do over the week. Without school, I'd get bored out of my mind. - .-' I like to think how close a holiday is, during the school year. But once the break does arrive, I wish I could go back to school, since there really isn't anything to do, being an only child and all. School's pretty fun, also. ^_^ I talk to my friends, watch some of my goofier friends make each other laugh, and do other things I can't do at home. ^_^
  4. Here's a hint. Don't show up for school on Dec. 25. o_o You're not supposed to be going anyway. Besides, it's a family holiday, and you all deserve to be there for it. I betcha alot of people won't be coming anyway. I mean... it's Christmas!! ^^; They can't possibly make you stay in school for the holiday.
  5. Wow. These guys are pretty close. I voted for Ken, but I have to admit, you guys were all very funny! Good luck, you guys! ^_^
  6.  Laitina sighed in relief as she saw about six people waiting at the gate, perhaps for more people or soldiers. After all, Aerine did say battle. She waved her fingers above the stallion's head, as the horse slowed to a trot. "You're late." Elsyan said, turning her horse to face Laitina. "You did not arrive at the castle yesterday. Busy lately?" Laitina nodded, and pulled out a small gem from her bag. "I found this. It belonged to a bird of some sort." She said, placing the gem in Elsyan's hand. "It's from the White Mountains." Elsyan studied it in her hand, tracing every dent with her fingers. "Was it by the shore?" Elsyan asked, placing the gem back in Laitina's hand. "Yes." Elsyan nodded, and turned around. Laitina followed her closely, holding her gem close to her. "How did you know?" Elsyan turned around once more, and put a hand on her shoulder. "There's been strange birds settling along the shore." She replied. "Ravens." Laitina's eyes grew thin as she peered at Elsyan's worried expression. "From the Ash Mountains?" "Probably." ---------- OOC: Okies, here's what Laitina sorta looks like, except she has blond hair, much, much paler skin, and a silver version of that outfit. ^_^;; Edit: mkay... someone deleted their post. o_o; I didn't double post. ^^;;
  7.
Originally posted by Crazy White Boy Another poor song is the Meow Mix theme.
You're pure evil... - .-' *gets song stuck in head* I also get the lil Kibbles 'n' Bits commercial stuck in my head... Damn pet food commercials... >
  8. What exactly is the Otaku Guide anyway? At first I thought that's where 'My Otaku' went...
  9. Laitina looked out to the castle, awoken by hoofsteps and men yelling orders. The curtains fluttered by the light breeze, the endless sea of diamonds blanketing the sky. The men held their horses steady, along with a few others. Elsyan, a familiar woman from the council... But what were they up to? It was far too late for a midnight walk, yet too early for a morning stroll as well. She turned around, and faced an older woman sleeping on a bed, on the opposite side of hers. "Aerine" She whispered, shaking the woman's arm. "Aerine." She whispered once again. The woman's eyes rolled open, still tired from the night before. "What is it?" She asked, rolling over. "There are men outside. Where are they going?" Laitina said, tugging on the woman's arm once more. The woman's eyes opened, and her eyes squinted, as if she was thinking. She smiled slighly as an idea came back to her. "Ah yes... you missed the randevous this morning." Aerine stated, grinning at her. "After all the-" "Where are they going???" She asked once more, her eyes growing wide. "Mordor. Some battle, I don't think it was that impor-" "Mordor!?" Laitina leaped to her feet, and to the chestnut wardrobe where they had kept all thier important items. She pulled out a chest, with heiroglyphics inserted onto the wood. Pulling the vials out of their sockets, Laitina placed each of them into a small pocket in a bag, sorting the red with the red, gold with the gold. Each of them were about the size of her smallest finger, although they could each do wonderful things... All six went into her bag, leaving three more in the chest. As Laitina approached the door, Aerine stopped her, and handed her two steel objects, wrapped in a cloth. "You can't leave without these. You'll need them along the way." Aerine said, handing the objects to her. Laitina smiled, and flung her arms around Aerine, smiling. "I'll miss you. After all, you are my baby sister and all." Aerine said, smiling. "I'll miss you too. Just try not to get into too much trouble while I'm gone." Laitina replied, wiping a tear from her eye. "Better be off then." Laitina smiled back at her sister, as she leaped onto her horse, her clothes beaming in the moonlight. She leaned over, and whispered to her white stallion. The stallion neighed, and began trotting by the bay, its mane glistening with the stars. Laitina waved to her sister, keeping her bag close to her. She unraveled the cloth from the objects, and kept them close to her heart. It was a pair of sai... embrodered with saphirres... Laitina could now hear the baying of the horses in the distance. They hadn't left yet after all...

    Boards Down.

*shakes head* Cloricus, it's like that here, too. And It's nothing serious. I mean, the down-ings are all temporary anyway. As far as I know, it shouldn't be a technical problem, because it's working perfectly fine for me right now, all except for my dsl line, which seems to be kicking me off from AIM for the moment... I mean, you can just copy/paste your message if you're really in such a hurry. And I don't think a technical problem with one site's server can only effect one area.

    Boards Down.

Erm... I think I've said this at the chat before, but it just does that sometimes. It goes down for a while over here for me too. (And I live in the U.S., mind you). I don't think it's disappearing from the internet or anything like that. I think you're a little overreacting. It's been down a few times, maybe it's just the server. But I definately doubt it's anything serious. Edit: ... too late. o_o'
  12. Mosquitoes don't have teeth... do they? oO Er.. What's the layer between the stratosphere and the troposphere? (sp?)
  13. Aww.. I've actually been mentioned ^^ Gee, there's so many people I'd want to meet here... Just about everyone, I guess ^_^ everyone's so nice, I think it'd be pretty kewl if all the active members could get together and meet somewheres sometime. Anyway, here's a shortened list of the people I'd like to meet. (This isn't even half of the full list, sooo... just cuz I didn't mention you, doesn't mean I don't want to meetcha! ^^) Evie: My Best bud! Definately would want to meet Rain! ^_^ She's so nice, and really funny! D'ann & Rico: You guys are only 20 minutes away!! How could I not want to meet you? ^_^ Mitch: If I got to see him in real life, maybe we wouldn't be restricted to 1 hour of IM through aim... - .-' He's really kewl, and of course, a great poet ^_^ Mikey: My big bro! ^_^ He's so kewl, nice, and funny! Your Typical RPG..
Originally posted by Boba Fett mostly with topics that I am familiar with.
Now that I think of it, about 2/3 of the rpg's I've been in, I never had the slightest hint about. o_o If I like the setting and the plot, I can adjust to the RPG soon enough, as long as someone mentions the currency and the type of transportation. ^.^'

    Drumline!

*sniffles* No one here likes cheerleading much, hmm? *curls up in a corner* I'm not sure if I want to see the movie either, I mean... I really don't get the plot of it at all.
  16. Hmm... I don't ever recall anyone telling me about sleepwalking. The only trouble when I'm sleeping, is how I keep tumbling off the side of the bed. ^^; I do that often. At night I go to sleep, at the inner edge of my bed, then the next morning,I always find myself hanging on the outer edge of my bed, tangled in my sheets, almost touching the ground. When I used to sleep with my parents, about eight-nine years ago, it drove them crazy, because I kept rolling over them, and falling off the side, taking the blankets with me. >.> By the way, doesn't sleep-walking have anything having to do with when you brains go into sleep-mode, and your muscles don't lock in the position or something? I remember my science teacher saying something about it. *shrugs*
  17. But of course, there might not be any more closed threads by the time each of them get closed. Alot of people would choose to delete their thread, since it got closed and all. But once each of them get deleted, we won't be able to see what kinds of threads are inapproprate, and we shouldn't post, no matter how obvious it is. >.> Erm... *quiets*
  18. Name: Laitina Kittana Age: 2934 Race: Elven Weapons: One pair of Platinum Sai, embroaded with saphirres. Bio: Laitina was raised by her mother, who taught her to heal and use her magic to help others. She learned to collect herbs, and turn them into potions that would heal wounds, and cuts instantly. Each potion she made would take one night to complete, even though it's only three inches high, and on centimeter wide. Laitina had always stayed with her father during battles, and healed the ones that got injured during battles. Her father refused to take her along in the battle of Mordor, and advised her to stay there. He never came back after the battle was over, and Laitina could only dream of being united with him again... someday... Description: Laitina has very pale skin, and straight, light blond hair that travels down to her waist. She wears a platinum tiara on her forehead. (Think sailor moon, but more india-style, with smaller, thinner chains loosely hanging from a thin chained band). Laitina wears a white gown, (think cassandra from Scorpion king), which matches her siver-blue eyes, and tall, thin body. --------- Edit: *sees Piro's location* ^. ^;;; Not really, alot of the people on my 'friends list' aren't here as often here anymore. Does Piro want to be on the list? :whoops:
  19. Well, the reason why the mods keep the closed topics open, is because it gives an example to the threads the other members should not post. It also shows you what kinds of posts can get you in trouble as well. Soo.. it's actually pretty helpful to the newer members, so they have examples on what not to do. ^_^ Since the newbie lounge is gone and all, I guess that's their only other first source when they join, except for the rules and all...

    Limp Bizkit

All my guyfriends at my old school were nuts about these guys. I remember getting so sick of their songs playing on the radio. My friend would actually make fun of how lame some of the lyrics were. All my old guyfriends would talk about is how 'great' the band was and everything. Alot of their songs were kinda lame, even though one or two got stuck in my head a few times. ^^; And, Fred Durst really got on my nerves. Especially when he started that rumor about Christina Aguliera not too long after his Chocolate Starfish album came out.
  21. Exactly. At my school, everyone walks around, saying, "You're gay!" or, "homo!" etc... I don't think this is right, and it's actually kind of offensive to hear them say the word as if 'gay' ment weird, idiot, strange...etc. I don't see any reason they should ban it. I mean, I don't see a problem with it at all. But I do think it can be offensive by the way people label other people, and point fingers, when they really don't know it's not something people should be labeled by. It doesn't matter if a person is gay, it just depends on who they are as a person.
  22. I'm actually not too sure... I think there's a few ways things could happen along the boards. One, things could get better, like... the people's post quality will get better, along with the content and language. Or, it could get worse, and the people's post quality will get worse, and the content/grammar will get a little worse than there is now. More members could join, or go away... People might fade away, but then again, more people will join the otaku community. The mods could get stricter, or less stricter. They might not have to be as strict, because the post may become cleaner, and more productive. Anything can happen... I guess it just depend on us, and the way we keep the boards clean. ^_^ From what I've heard, we don't want another otaku war starting, now do we?
  23.
Originally posted by Yu Yu Hakusho! I know what you mean. I'm going to have to tell my dad to pre-order the tickets....living out here in Houston doesn't help much either. There's too many people!
Houston!! ^_^ I used to live on Galveston Island... It's about an hour away from Houston. You can get tickets there easily, I might see it a second time in Galvez... Anyway, Preordering isn't as easy as it seems. At the metreon, the tickets are all sold out up to Wednesday... I hope we can get some for Thurday, even if it's still ten days away... = /
  24.
Originally posted by Matt First step: create the enemy.
Pfft. We've done that alright...
Second step: be sure the enemy you have chosen is nothing like you. Find obvious differences like race, language, religion, dietary habits fashion. Emphasize that their soldiers are not doing a job, they are heartless murderers who enjoy killing!
mmhmm...
Fourth step: Have the media broadcast only the ruling party's information this can be done through state run media. Remember, in times of conflict all for-profit media repeats the ruling party's information. Therefore all for-profit media becomes state-run.
Definately not a good way to make profit...
Fifth step: show this enemy in actions that seem strange, militant, or different. Always portray the enemy as non-human, evil, a killing machine.
And most of the time, the things they brodcast are totally biased.
Sixth step: Eliminate opposition to the ruling party. Create an "Us versus Them" mentality. Leave no room for opinions in between. One that does not support all actions of the ruling party should be considered a traitor.
Hmm... Alot of us are traitors...
Seventh step: Use nationalistic and/or religious symbols and rhetoric to define all actions. This can be achieved by slogans such as "freedom loving people versus those who hate freedom." This can also be achieved by the use of flags.
It depends on the peoples opinion. Just because a large amount of people believe it, doesn't mean it's true.
Eighth step: Align all actions with the dominant deity. It is very effective to use terms like, "It is god's will" or "god bless our nation."
Heh...
Ninth step: Design propaganda to show that your soldiers have feelings, hopes, families, and loved ones. Make it cleat that your soldiers are doing a duty; they do not want or like to kill.
And the 'enemy's' soldiers do?
Tenth step: Create and atmosphere of fear, and instability and then offer the ruling party as the only solutions to comfort the public's fears. Remembering the fear of the unknown is always the strongest fear.
Atmosphere of fear... That's a great way to content a country... As I said before, I don't like alot of our president's judgements. He's been pointing alot of fingers, sometimes without giving us enough information to convince some of us. He may be right, then again, he may be wrong. But for the moment, it's not up to us, is it? The U.S. doesn't need to go to war. There's enough problems we have to deal with for the time being.
  25. Aww... those poor kitties... = \ I used to raise a few stray kittens that would drop by my house sometimes, and the worst thing I've ever done is give them each a bath... I really don't think any of that is funny, or 'scientific' as the webmaster might think. That's just abusive, gross, and vulgar. I can't believe anyone would want to do such a horrible thing to them. >
