I'm not really much of a sports-y person, but I've been keeping up with the Yankees VS Red Sox games lately, and it looks like Red Sox are going to win. (Which would be interesting, as it's a first.) Johnny Damon's last few hits were just brill. Really sucks that they got out when the bases were loaded, though. =/ *shrug* I've been rooting for Boston. Really aggrivating how the commentators keep pronouncing 'Matsui' as 'MaNsui', though, for the Yankees. -____-;

This might be a bit bizarre, but I'm really into string theory and such, where you may have billions of copies of 'you' in another dimension, and when we dream, we're actually seeing through the eyes of another one of 'us' in another dimension. (Or something like that). And when we get deja vu, one of 'us' has been there before. Also like, how 'ghosts' to us may see us as 'ghosts' and since the mind ignores things we don't believe, some people don't see them and ...(goes on and on). >.> *ahem* So when we die, I just believe that we 'wake up' only, in a new dimension as a new born.

*whew* I'll gladly change my last name. If I had one of the cooler Asian last names, maybe I would consider keeping it. But it doesn't matter. In Korean culture, even after you're married, your last name doesn't change. So erm. Isn't really a big deal to me. Just don't have a clue as to what would sound decent next to 'Dyne Juuthena'. o_O;;;

If the elections were held tomorrow, who would you vote for?
Juu replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Well, about Mary Cheney. Is her sexuality something she should be ashamed/embarrassed about? He said: "And I think if you were to talk to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian, she would tell you that she's being who she was, she's being who she was born as. ", and to me, that doesn't sound like an insult. Of course, it may have been a bad choice to specifically point out the vice president's daughter, but it's ironic that the vice president would agree to pass a ban on gay marriage when his very own daughter happens to be lesbian. It's just that I find a lot of his arguments cancelling each other out. I'll support his idea that the members of the supreme court should be impartial, but after saying that, he'll add that 'but I wouldn't select someone who wouldn't allow 'Under God' in the Pledge of Allegiance'- which is totally opposite. Also, I found it hilarious when he was saying "I own a timber company? Need some wood?" to Kerry, and it turns out that he DID, in fact, own a timber company several years ago. But, in a way, that could be understandable seeing how his family owns so many companies. Anyway, if I could vote, I'd vote for John Kerry/John Edwards- especially after watching each of the debates (twice/read the transcripts- nerd, excuse me). Kerry is being stronger in his recent speeches, and hopefully it'll be enough to convince the nation in the end. =/ -
Well, I'm starting guitar, but I own a black SA120 Ibanez. Whilst shopping around, though, I really preferred Ibanez over the others. It's simple, but I'm madly in love with it. :toothy:
Seriously, get a hobby, gothic, punk, prep and thug children alike.
Amen. -_- What I don't get is, if these people 'hate the light', how do they manage to walk into a shopping centre and walk past all the pastel-coloured clothes to get OVER to Hot Topic? That just confuzzles me. Not to mention, you look at bright light from going online. Just on OB there's white as the background, so how come nobody's going 'OMFGZ!11MYEYES'? And people walking around saying 'oOo look at mee, I'm a demon' makes just as much sense to me as someone walking around going 'oOo look at mee, I'm Pikachu'. Only, people who go around saying they're a pokemon don't complain about light, 'preps', or 'human beings'. Not to mention, they don't sit around at home trying to write angsty poems about how much their life sucks, when their parents can actually afford to buy them clothes from Hot Topic (what- $22 being the cheapest shirts and having little pins that say 'I'm Weird' for $5?). Dunno. Being depressed + Shopping... do those usually go together? o_O

We had Eminem?! o_O;; Gah, but remember the Valentines Dance? That was a disaster. They started off with this slow rap song, and everyone was like o_o. As for 'Boys', Pharrell's bit is the relief of the song. It'd be fun using this as our dance-thing this year for gym, though. ^_^
I was never happy before or I never remember the time when I was happy. [/B']
...And you're twelve years old? :therock: As for the saying 'No Pain, No Gain', bad things happen and we can't do anything about it besides learn from our mistakes and be stronger as a person. Uhh... I don't LIKE pain, but people need pain or 'bad' events to understand and appreciate happiness, so I think of it as something vital. Also, everyone goes through tough times, though maybe sometimes some people more than others. But I don't get how being depressed gets you to drag yourself to the nearest mall to buy black clothes and sit in front of the mirror applying eyeliner whilst bashing preps and such. But I find it so ironic how people actually think they can be good at being a certain label. ...unless they're doing impressions, or something... *shuts up* Excuse me. ~_~;
My rule of thum gis that anoyne who says "I am a goth." is not a goth.
Same deal goes with 'I am not a poser', too. But for some reason, people at my school who are so completely obviously trying to dress like Good Charlotte get pissed when someone asks if they're 'goth' or 'punk'. I don't think anyone can really BE 'goth'. It's just a label that people try to FIT in to. I mean, there's no exact definition (okay- minus the history stuff =P) of what a 'goth' is. People TRY to be what they think is 'goth' by wearing all black/shopping around at Hot Topic/shopping around at Claires but not admitting it, and even try to mold their personalities and music tastes trying to be this certain stereotype. ...Which to me, is a total waste of money/effort. Anyone trying to change themselves to be a certain label, to me, is a poser.

Yeah, I'm much more of a vocalist than a guitarist myself, lol. >_>; But then, *part* of the reason I started taking up guitar is because we've started this band-thing, and they appointed me lead singer. But I didn't want to just sing and not be a part of the instrumentals. Plus, it's about time I learned an instrument. The only other main option I had was violin, but eh- guitar overruled. ~_~; Also, a good friend of my dad's is the most famous guitar player in Korea- and when you watch a Korean drama, and there's music with guitar playing in the background (made for the drama), it's usually him. And since he'll be dropping by the US soon, he can give me a few pointers and such. But yeah. I've got a black electric Ibanez SA 160. *huggles it*

Well, for me, same deal as Solo. I never use speechmarks for mine, and it still works fine. o.o; And yeah, I had to get rid of the icon-thingy I used on my profile bar, because I'd have to retype the code each time I edited my profile. Not very important, though, soo...

Well, most of my friends told me I should teach myself, but I'm taking electric guitar lessons once a week for $30, mainly because those websites just threw me off, lol. And plus, my instructor told me not to start off looking at a huge book of chords, as it's really confusing, and it was. Erm- for me, at least. Also, there was that whole thing of getting a few positions right. So uh... dunno. I'd just recommend that you find someone who really knows their stuff. :/ Good luck on learning, by the way. I just started myself, and ahh... my left hand fingertips are already getting rough. >.

EEE! I lovvve N*E*R*D! ^__^ They're pretty much the only kinda hip hop-ish band I like at the moment. Pharrell's voice and the music... they're just very different, and REALLY awesome to dance to. Pity our school dances mostly play RAP, though, when they could be playing fun stuff like this. =S But eh. Right now, I'm loving 'She Wants to Move', 'Fly or Die', 'Rock Star Poser' (?), and 'Maybe'. Dunno. Just mass-downloaded a bunch of their songs, and those are my current favs. ^_^
They think that shopping at Hot Topic and wearing all their trendy red and black clothing while listening to heavy metal is the cool thing to do to be "different" and to be "goth."[/color']
Hot Topic deserves to die. -____- So many people at school shop there, claiming to be 'different' but it's not really 'different' when 1/3 of the school owns the very same shirt that says 'I'm weird'. Not to mention, they talk about how much they love heavy metal when they haven't even heard a single song from the band on their T-shirt. Also, they keep bashing 'preps' when honestly, I don't see anyone who would admit to liking Britney Spears anymore, because it seems almost as if 'punk'/'goth' is the new 'pop'. SososoSO annoying, though. "Like, dude, I slit my wrist 92313098 times today. My life sucks." But rather than just the whole 'trend' thing, what bothers me more is how people seem to think 'find yourself' means to 'be weird', or 'be original' means to 'wear jelly bracelets and paint your nails black'. Being yourself is about being comfortable with who you are, not relying on clothes or a certain genre of music to reflect your personality. If you like something, wear it. But it's even cooler when a person's personality is so great, it just shines past what they're wearing.

Wow. It looks prrrretty nifty! ^-^ Really cool to see you spent so much time doing this. And very erm, interesting to see exactly how closely we're 'related' to some of our friends on the boards. ^_^ *huggles Miss Roxeh*

I'm willing to see this simply because Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law are in it, and I have a lot of faith in their acting. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Angelina Jolie, I'm willing to see how this goes- especially since there aren't many other films I'm looking forward to in particular that's coming out. And it does have a cool 'feel' to it by looking at the trailers. The blue screen fact makes it sound even cooler, too. ^_^

I'd have to agree with Siren, there. People seem to have this stupid stereotype of what gays and lesbians are like. Okay, but how many people have actually met and know a gay/lesbian person besides ones they see on TV? My science teacher is gay, so what? He doesn't prance around and go around 'bragging' about it. I live in San Francisco, and I've actually met people who are gay/lesbian, but I didn't have a clue that they were until I found out from someone else. To me, stereotyping gays and lesbians makes just as much sense as racism to me. It's their personal life. The fact a guy might like guys doesn't mean they're obsessed with fashion and talk like 'oh-my-GOD'-like as we see in the media. The fact that a girl might like girls shouldn't make her obnoxious, loud and manly. It's just who they like. They can't do anything about it, just as people can't do anything about the race they're born as. So what's the big deal? Honestly, I'd like to see how many people actually know someone who is homosexual, and WELL. And that doesn't mean 'Oh, I've seen six episodes of Queer Eye'.

A kind of 'Post Styles' thing for commenting would be nice. I use a different font/colour than the ones available, so it'd be nice if we could set our own font code so we don't have to type it in every time we comment. ~.~; And yurs. Archives would be really nice. I really want to print out my myO posts so I can keep them safe somewhere, but it's hard to do that since the posts keep moving back each time.
havent you heard about ipod's dirty secret, the battery lasts only 18 months then it costs $255.99 to replace the battery with a new 1!!!
That's weird. o_O; For iRiver, you either get one with a charger or one that uses like, AA batteries. Mine is the charge-kind but erm, I have to charge it using my USB Cable, because the charger's plug-thing is different than the ones in America, and we're just too lazy to go and get the convert-things. So yeah. Whee to that. >_>; ...And, what program does everyone use to compress MP3 files? My MP3 player's only storing about 55 songs at the moment. @@;;;'

My summer went by REALLY fast. @_@; Well, near the end of June, my dad and I went to Denmark and England. When we were in London, I got a chance to meet up with Red/Ger, and it was really fun talking to him at Regents Park! He's one of the coolest guys I've ever met, and meeting him actually seemed like more of an 'event' than going to the British Museum and such. When we were in Denmark for my dad's doctors meeting, it was awesome going exploring in our old neighborhood and such, and also having dinner at the City Hall, even though the food was really gross. ^-^; It was just cool seeing how much things hadn't changed since we lived there, and it just felt like 'home'. (Ahh! The great-great-great-great-great-great grand-kids of the ducks remembered me!) Lol. And I spent so much time trying to find 'Penguins' chocolate, but couldn't find them anywhere. ~_~;; (EEEE! EURO 2004!!) Then, we went back to San Francisco for a week before I was shipped off to Korea for a month. That was really nice, though due the divorce and stuff, my mom's side family didn't want to see me. I got my hair straightened/cut/highlighted, though. Pretty content with it, just besides the colours are a bit squirrel-ish. >_> Also, on top of all the hair-stuff, my aunts bought me fifteen shirts (the shirts are really cheap and PRETTY there), so a major kudos to them. AND, I went to kareoke seven times while I was there. There was this really cool owner-guy who gave us free extra time!! ^___^ (EEEE! ASIA CUP!!) Eh. And now, for the past month, I've been home, and re-gaining all the weight I lost travelling. ...Which is totally not good. I just got back from jogging earlier, since school starts in four days. But since I've been back, I've been spending lots of time with Celia and her brother (kinda), and I'll definitely remember having fun with them, going to kareoke with Celia today, and going to her brother's birthday and such. *huggles* SO yeah. My summer was one of the best summers yet, but I'm really excited for school to begin! It's going to be awesome seeing how much everyone changed, going to dances (EEE!), and I promised myself a 4.0. ~.~;
I'm having a bit of a problem with reading my comments. When I click on the link to read them, instead of having a window open up as it normally would, I get taken to the top of my mO page o_0; I thought that maybe it was just my mO so I went to a few of my friends' mO's and the same thing happens when I try to read their comments as well. I've deleted my cookies, and I've signed back onto mO, but it hasn't fixed the problem, so I don't know what it could be. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me fix it ^_^
Yeah, that happens for me too, and I thought it was just me. But I just have to wait for the page to finish loading, and when I click the link again, it pops up as usual. ^^; Or uhm. If the site happens to have a ton of pictures, you could just press 'stop' so the images stop loading and such.

I got my iRiver iFP-500 in Korea. Can't add too much music, (max 999 but I can only fit 54 at the moment), but the sound quality's awesome. Also, it's got voice recording and CD-recording. Of course, iRiver has a TON of better ones- even ones with a built-in camera. Didn't want one with a camera, though. One, I'd go nuts if I lost it, and two, I have my own digicam anyway. Plus, my uncle was paying for it, and I didn't want him getting the most expensive one there was. But the nifty bit was that it came with two different headphones, a protective cover, arm-strappy thing, backpack, and a string to wear it on your neck. ^_^ (and it's charged- not battery-run, so thank God for that).

My most memorable movie lines would have to be... Moulin Rouge! Christian: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. ----- Satine: (singing)If I should die this very moment, I wouldn't fear for I've never known completeness like being here, wrapped in the warmth of you.. loving every breath of you. Why live life from dream to dream, and dread the day when dreaming ends? ----- (The whole 'Come What May' scene) ----- Zidler: We're creatures of the underworld. We can't afford to love. ----- Christian: How wonderful life is, now you're in the world.... -------------- Love Actually Billy Mack: Kids. Don't. Buy. Drugs. ....Become a pop star and they give you them for free! ----- (The whole school performance scene)
There's this boy named Sam, and he has a huge crush on this girl named Joanna. Only, he thinks she doesn't even know his name. Since she's singing for the Christmas performance at school, Sam learns how to play the drums for the play, and on the day of the performance:
Joanna: (singing) All I want for Christmas is you--. *turns and points to Sam* Sam: *grins* Joanna: *turns back to the audience* And you, and you, and you, and you~~~ Sam: -_- --------------- Thirteen
The scene near the end when Tracy's crying after her mom finding out about her cutting, doing drugs, and stealing. A truly spectacular movie. ^_^ ---------------- Big Fish Arriving at Spectre. I didn't mind the animated version of The Hobbit so much, but the animated version of FotR REALLY irked me, lol. Complete waste of $4.50 renting it, but at least I laughed a lot watching it. ^-^ As for live action The Hobbit, I'm not exactly sure how much I'm looking forward to it. At least, not as a PG-13 movie. But erm, yeah. I've got the extended DVDs for FotR and TT, and a normal RotK DVD. I was SO upset with the bonus features on the RotK one, though. I enjoyed the bit about Tolkien and such, but the interviews were pretty much the same. So I'm REALLY looking forward to the extended version of RotK- especially if they've got a gag reel and such. ~.~; And yes- I totally love watching the commentaries. Hilarious. But on the extended version of RotK, I reeeeaaally hope we get to see the Houses of Healing. Does anyone know how long it's going to be? I've heard a ton of different rumours, soo... *just asking* *snuggles Leggy plushie*
