Originally posted by Mystic's Knight As we all know and as we have all been told by countless people *remembers last person that I saw say it being ShyGuy* newbie isnt a title, its a state of mind. Best of luck on your banner situation...

No particular shape. They're more supposed to be somewhat random...at least to a point. It's not meant to be read out loud so much as mentally digested....It's more of an amalgamation of throughts and feelings sort of....bound together, I guess. Instead of actual verse. Mm. I do this a lot, but I guess I don't expalin it very well.

::looks amused:: Threat? Heh, hardly. But quite seriously. The 'newbie' title matters only to newbies. Thus, you have marked yourself as one. Or something. You can take that as a startling revelation, or the ramblings of a girl who's got a bit too much time on her hands right now. Honestly, tho. There are people who have been here for over a year, and others that have several hundred [and even into the thousands] of posts, who I will always consider newbies, simply because of they way they act and/or their post quality. And there are some people here who were never newbies.

Band? Oh, help.... [assuming you mean what I think you do, the correct term is "banned."] And...eh...welcome to OB, I guess. You're fairly new.

I've never noticed a sig notice when a supermod edits a post, actually. And I know that if you edit your own post right away, it doesn't show up as edited at the bottom. Don't know what the exact time frame is, tho.

Don't act like a newbie, and no one worth while will consider you one. Problem solved. :)
Originally posted by James Oh we're still dragging this out? lol Remember, Newbie Lounge isn't exactly anything we've had for a long time. It was introduced with v6. o_O
Yeah, but we had Intro before that, yes? Because 6 is the most recent, isn't it? And I know it used to be called Intro, and be further down.... :: plots to bring up this topic routinely in the months to come, just to see who snaps first:: [after Shy, o' course.] Eh. I don't really care one way or t'other. It was a fun place sometimes and a pain sometimes. I've been on both ends. ::waves goodbye to Intro:: And hopefully y'all poor mods dun get too many lost newbies saying hello to ya in the wrong places. [/blessing]

Has anyone read..I think it's wish? I picked it up at Waldenbooks the other day, and quite liked it.

Random stuff. Correct me if I'm wrong. [As I'm sure you will anyway.] Clinton won the '96 election with less than fifty percent of the popular vote. [Dole also got around 40%, and I think Perot got somewheres about 10%] And of eligible citizens, only about 55% went to the polls to vote. Which would mean he was elected with about 1 in 4 americans voting for him. Isn't that great? ^_^

Piro, your avatar bothers me. Nerdsy, I meant it in the best possible way. Mmm. IM_GENGAR was around on V2? ::looks vaguely confused:: Er..yes. I'm been here for a long time. And I'm not always sure why. Modded Digimon for a little over a year. Stepped down, and now wander about the forums..a nomad of Otakuboards.... [ooh, dramatic.]

Ye gods, you're Forte? And you're still here?

graffiti graffiti--n. pl (sing. graffito) writing or drawing scribbled, scratched, or sprayed on a surface. [Italian graffio a scratch] I'm sure you are aware there is more tha one definition. This one comes from my Oxford Dictionary of Current English, Revised Second Edition, copyright 1996. ^^ It's also the dictionary I've rarely been seen without for the last five years. And I linked to Dictionary.com, simply because they have a lovely etymological history of the word. [I saw your definition there as well. ;)]

Heh. Me? No, I'm not set in my ways.... And Mitch, I am not addicted to this place...Anymore. :p

You know what the best part of my school year has been thus far? Graffiti. On a small area where no one cares, and will never spaz about or paint over or try to get ride of....the back of the drama set. There are songs, poems, drawings, designs, jokes, taglines, conversations, and what I can only describe as advice columns. It's the neatest thing. ^_^
Originally posted by Justin It's been kind to me for nearly two years now. What amazes me is that I have spent, and am still spending, so much time on an online forum...o.O -Justin
Kind of disturbing, really....

Wheee, v2 was fun! ::goes on for a long time, simply because CWB brought it up:: Well, not really. I'm not Nerdsy, after all. ^_^ Erh, well. I like it here, most of the time. I guess I must, or I wouldn't have stuck around this long. The only reason I keep coming, tho, is the people. I'd have no problem if OB suddenly ceased to exist, if there were an alternate means to keep in touch with the people I've gotten to know here. Unfortunately, there's no other option I've found to be quite so easily accessible and compact. ::waves at everyone::

::blows SunRiZe up:: Thing is, once you start making exceptions on length and width, ["well, the area is the same...."] some joker is going to come along with a 50 000 by 1 pixel image that will screw everything up royally.

Whee, fun! ::hugs Lady A:: ....the etymology nut is happy.....

Actually, I believe all of the supermods have that ability...
Originally posted by James No need to feel guilty, Sara. :) You were always one of my favourite mods ;) (And yes, James does love all his children...ahem)
I don't know which is worse...the fact that I find that faintly disturbing, or the fact that I find it only faintly disturbing. I think I'm becomeing a bit jaded to the weirdness of this place. ^_^ And as long as there's an open topic, I might as well add that there have been a few mentions of the need/nicety of having another Digimod. [Even from the members of the anti-Shy club.] Tho I guess you're aware of that, anyhoo.
Originally posted by Shyguy It takes a lot of effort to turn something spammy (Our Digimon forum last June) and turn it into something great (Our Digimon forum today).
I still feel guilty about that.

I used to have a bunch of the cats. All their names ended with 'ip,' it was rather disturbing....
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve If I got all upset about it and tried to stop it, I wouldn't be a very good American. As an American I have the obligation to respect the rights of fellow Americans no matter how wrong I think what they are doing is. Remember, they have just as much rights as you do.
And isn't that just beautifully ironic.

^_^ Heh, I love the concept. I knew you were going to throw us a curveball, I just didn't know what it would be. Starbucks. Brilliant. Did you mean it to be "welcome to my web"? I've always heard it "welcome to my parlor," and while 'web' actually fits it better in this context...Like I said, just wondering. "..cheap books and legal addictive stimulants.." Heh. Loved it. I expected it to be longer, but you said you had to "cram it" into two pages, so... Cheers!
