Just so you know a daddy longlegs is not a spider. It?s an insect that looks like a spider. Actually, technically, not. Meh. Last fall, I went for a walk around dusk. Down to Lake Michigan, I walked about a mile down the shore, went down to the river, started walking back through the residential area. Not the most expensive neighborhood in the world, if you catch my meaning. Anyhoo, it was my street, just about ten long blocks south of where I live. I was walking, it was after dark by then. Going on 8 o' clock. It was a full moon--that's why I'd gone for a walk in the first place, to look at the moon over the lake. Lots of weird shadows, with moonlight coming through bare trees. I'm a bit jumpy--people at school make a game out of sneaking up on me in the hallways. So I was out alone after dark, spooky shadows, the perfect whistling wind--the whole scene was straight out of a movie. You know, the kind where you yell at the stupid moron on the tv screen Don't check out that noise, you idiot!!!! [Or something to that effect.] Somewhere, a few blocks away, there some sort of catfight started. Those things sound creepy. I'm a little nervous [okay, more that just a little]. My heart's beating way too fast, I quicken my pace, and suddenly-- BONG!!!! It was like had put a big metal pot over my head and pounded on it with a hammer. I nearly had a heart attack. And then it happened again. I bit back a shriek. And agai-- By this time I realized just, exactly where I was. Walking right past the bell tower of St. Joe's Church, at exactly eight at night. -.-;
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel 88k equals instant download for me :D.
You know what? Shut up. :p Heh, anyway... I like it, which kinda surprised me... I don't generally go for that sort of thing. :whoops: ::wanders off::
Originally posted by Aries Wow...long..post, Cera, heheh. Nice one, though :)
...Yeah, it was long... But I enjoyed typing it out. :whoops: ::wanders off::

I haven't a clue. 'Roxy89' just caught my eye. I don't read internet slang. If someone's 'too lazy' to take the extra six seconds to use decent English, what makes them think I'm going to spend the extra six minutes deciphering it? Not worth my time.

On intelligent extra-terrestial life forms... On the only planet on which life has been proven, observed and documented [Earth] to exist, there is one species of 'intelligent life.' One for one. The odds are high. Of all the innumerable species with have been proven, observed, and documented to exist, there is one species of 'intelligent life.' One for.....[insert really, really big number here.] The odds are low. ::wanders off::

heh....I loved it when Plum was dancing in 'screensaver' mode.

Ignore the first sentence and appreciate its merit as a YuGiOh topic. [Welcome to OB, Kiza.] Kudos to all who catch that.

::mutters:: It does if I'm trying to color a picture....
-
Yeah, but I'm reasonably sure it was Roxy89.... I think she started the 'You say a word, I say a word' thread on v2....... ::wanders off::
-
Wasn't Roxy an old member here....? :: blinks::
-
Incidently, everything she posted except the first line has to do completely with YuGiOh. Just because someone says they're new does not mean their thread automatically has to belong in Intro. /

>_< I'm trying to color a picture of him.... I'm just going with brown...

I read the first one at BN. ^^ Anyhoo, I liked it. Chi's so.....cute. I love drawing her....'cept I keep messing her up. I didn't buy the manga, so I don't have a reference. >_<

...are Bakura's eyes? I've seen him with brown, blue, and green....

:p Heh, actually, I'm a little strange about that... If it's in a glass bottle, I call it pop. I don't know why... That just the way I work, I guess. :whoops:

Asperagus~ ASP err ah guess Humidity~ HOO mid ih tee [Okay, I don't do ths, but people I know do and it BUGS me.] Hello~ HAY low [Halo] [I've also been known to greet people with 'Jell-o,' 'yellow,' and 'cello.'] Oatmeal~ oat MEAL [from an Abbot and Costello sketch..and only when I'm feeling really goofy] Milk~ It's MILK, okay?!?! Not 'MELK.' There's no E!!! And as for dialect... 'Pop' is an onomatopoeic word. I don't drink it, and it is not how I address my father! I get the strangest look when I'm out of town and ask people where the 'bubbler' is. Apparently it's a Milwaukee-area thing. So, where's the ah....drinking fountain? Cellar or Basement? Tap or Faucet? Dinner or Supper? [Dinner's a big midday meal, Lunch is a small one, Supper's in the evening....'sfar as I'm concerned. ;)] ::wanders off::

I don't suppose anyone wants to read another rant by me, so y'all can just skip over this post if you want. If I'm with people who are bubbly and always talking, I listen more....If I'm with people who are quieter and actually hold a conversation instead of a monologue, I talk more. If I'm with people who don't understand my [somewhat, dark, admittedly] sense of humor, I don't generally make my trademark dry remarks. No point, if it's going to fly over their heads. O' course, if it's someone I can't stand, I do it anyway, simply because I don't like them. When I'm by myself, I do all of those things. Talk to myself, recite random quotes and poetry, sing, dance [I never would in public, I'm much too clumsy], make remarks about the fact that McDonald's spelt 'Billions' incorrectly on one of their signs, go up to random people and ask if Calvin and Hobbes was the greatest comic strip ever [the overwhelming majority says yes], just quietly pretend I'm not there, walk 'tightrope' on the street curb, choose a word or two and make anagrams [My name can be rearranged to spell 'Marina Star'], see how many ways I can misspell my name [Sarah Sarra Cera Cerah Zara...], try and turn cartwheels, slide down the railing of the stairs by the lakefront [really steep, slippery, sandy, and, oh yeah, stupid], run for the sheer heck of running, pretend I'm wanted by the police and plan an escape route from wherever I am to someplace I'd be safe [lots of fun...I posted a thread about that once...], doodle, draw, write, list all the ways I can think of that my History textbook would be good for [Most popular choice: Bonfire], try and pick out constellations, even though the only one I can really see is the Big Dipper [and I know what Orion's Belt is, though I can't really see the rest of him], make up my own constellations, ones that actually make sense [Random Cluster of Stars Just Right of the Moon that Look Vaguely Like Someone Dropped Some Sequins on the Floor.....Alpha], try and spell something using CB radio code [Oscar Tango Alpha Kilo Oscar Bravo Oscar Alpha Romeo Delta....Santa?], go down to the park and push little kids I don't know on the merry-go-round, write letters to companies complaining about their products [Why don't you sell orange [choose one: Pens, socks, erasers, tables, houses, grass, bananas..]]. I read books that have been recommended to me, I read books that I've recommended to other people, I read books that I wouldn't have published to save my life because they don't make any zarking sense. I collect taglines, away messages, and Kool-Aid points. [I've got a couple thousand, by the way...they don't make cool prizes anymore, so I haven't got anything for years and years....] And yeah, Piro, loved that part of the book.

My personality is always the same, but different facets become more prominent, depending on who I'm with. I change to fit in with the group I'm with. Don't think conform, change, though. Think unique puzzle-pieces. The smaller the group, the bigger my personality. The more people there are, the quieter I become. I observe more than I participate, but I do love observing. I don't know if there's ever an instance where I could just 'be myself.' Who I am is always changing. Who I am right now is not who I'll be tomorrow. I could speak with you now and then, be completely natural and at ease both times, and come off as completely different people. When I'm truly alone--walking down at the beach around dusk, sitting up late on my back deck, wandering the school hallways during study hall [:whoops:], or riding my bike too fast to technically be safe....I don't really do anything. I'll write a dialogue or a lyric in my mind, or try to describe a certain color, or define something in a completely non-textbook way. If I'm upset, I'll usually go for a bikeride. It takes just enough of my attention to keep my mind off of other stuff, and is automatic enough that I can just completely blank out for a while. I can be shy, quiet, loud, crazy, sweet, cynical, goofy, disdainful...depending on my mood, who I'm with, and what's going on. I think everyone's that way...at least, I can't imagine not being that way. Having a static personality would just be so...boring. You see things. You keep quiet about them. And you understand. --Patrick, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
