1. .....I watched that show when I was in maybe....second grade...? Eight years old-ish, and obsessed with it....

Chobits

...Couldn't think of a better spot to put this thread. I saw the manga at BN the other day....has anyone read it?
3. I don't think that's the point, Altron...the point is, people are obsessed with this dragon. :whoops:
4.
Originally posted by James If those boards go up...nope. OtakuBoards will remain its own entity and nothing will be changed or removed. Remember; this new site is not an Otaku site. It is essentially a completely different project, under the umbrella of the current network. So if a boards is produced, there won't be any cross over or any direct link, in terms of content and stuff.
.....my head hurts.... Eh, just wondering.
5. Along with ticks, centipedes, scorpions, wasps... ....and I had one extremely freaky dream about bees last night... Bees never really bothered me before, but now I think I shall be avoiding them....
6. ...Question. When those boards are up, will anything be removed/transferred from OB to them?
7. Most of the memories I've been relishing lately are pretty recent... Last summer and fall.... I'll spare you the details. As much as I love those memories, there are few of you who would care tohear me go on about them.
8.
Originally posted by Justin I'm afraid of losing people that I care about. That's about it. -Justin
That needed quoting.
9. Strong points: * Intelligence * Sense of humor * Creativity/Imagination Weak points * I tend to feel superior to others * I can be mean and sarcastic * I tend to be overly involved in my project of the moment...School, food, sleep....who needs it? Not to mention when I start acting too much like one of my own characters.... Two sides to every coin.
10. I've been listening to these lyrics almost nonstop lately....Christian themes, don't sue. I will not pretend to know the pain you're going through I know I cannot comprehend the hurt you've known And I used to think it mattered if I understood But now...I just don't know --Carry you to Jesus, Steven Curtis Chapman. There was a boy who had the faith to move a mountain And like a child he would believe without a reason Without a trace he disappeared into the void and I've been searching for that missing person. --Missing Person, Michael W. Smith And the lovely lyrics that have somehow made their way into my signature...also by SCC.
11. You have no idea how disturbing it was to see you use exclamation marks... 1) Do you speak Japanese fluently? No. 2) Have you taken a class in Japanese? If so, how many? No. 3) Have you bought a book related to learning Japanese? If so, how many? I've got a pocket dictionary a friend bought me a year or so ago... 4) Can you count how many Japanese words you know? If so, how many? Less than twenty. 5) Do you know hiragana and katakana? Nuh-uh. 6) About how many kanji do you know? Kan-wha? 7) Do you have any friends or relatives that speak fluent Japanese? Not that I know of.... 8) Do you WANT to learn Japanese? Sure...but not if it requires time and/or effort.
12. Boy, if that were a drawing..... I already worship your photography skills, don't make me jealous about your drawing ability. ;)
13. I like the overall effect. I hope it was what you were looking for, because I like the way it turned out. I've always found black and white and hand coloring fascinating...I just love the way it looks. The muted feel. You've got a great smile, and strangely enough, it doesn't look very muted....it looks like an early summer morning. The phrase in the corner is sort of an eerie contrast to the sweetness of the photo. ...Like you're hiding something or wearing a mask. That sort of thing always fascinates me as well...a picture with a contrasting caption, or one that makes you doubt what you see. Overall...I love it.
14. I start Drama this Monday.... Finally.
15. I'm not a huge fan of sequels... The quality is often much lower, and focuses more on recreating what worked the first time than introducing new concepts. I believe part of the problem is that most people don't really expect anything special from the sequels. And there's already a built-in audience in the fans of the first movie. The bar is lowered, and quality drops. Another point is that once someone falls in love with a great movie, nothing is ever going to come close to it for them. They idealize it in their mind, and anything that comes afterwards is going to fall short of their expectations. It even works the other way around. Someone who sees the sequel first, and loves it...and then sees the original is either going to love it, or hate it. There won't be any middle ground. The second movie made has become their 'original' and the first one made, their 'sequel.'
16. G, PG, NC-17.... Does this rating system do what it's supposed to? For that matter, what do you believe it's supposed to do? I realize that maturity level varies greatly among people of the same age, and I'm sure many of you know twelve year olds more mature than adults you know. I also know people who don't care about ratings at all and let their kids--young kids, mind--watch whatever they want. That may be nothing more than an example of bad parenting, but I'd like to see what the rest of you think.

oO Uh...thanks....I think....
19. Ginny, sis, bestest bud.... I was listening to this song almost nonstop the other day.... Carry you to Jesus, Steven Curtis Chapman. Listen to it, and think of me, okay? And write me. And I'll catch you on AIM. Because we need to talk. I love you.
20. I've gotten too many academic stuff to remember....most of them were silly things... I'm currently ranked number one in my grade...but it's a small school... ::shrugs:: Most of the things that matter to me won't sound very important to anyone else...
21. Crash course in Net shorthand. LOL=Laughing out loud ROFL=Rolling on floor laughing LMBO [LMAO]-Laughing my butt off IMO/IMHO/IMNSHO= In my [not so humble] opinion L33T='leet'=an internet crazy languyage that involves lots of numbers and symbols in place of letters. And Sage...the home row, or homekeys, is/are the keyboard keys [asfd [g h] jkl; on a QWERTY keyboard] that one is supposed to use for typing. Each of your fingers [minues thumbs, which 'live' at the spacebar] are supposed to go back to a certain key after typing any other letter. Index fingers 'live' at j and f, for example... Dunno if you've got QWERTY or not... ^^_

Divorced!

Neil, you are probably the most insensitive person I have ever met, and you are REALLY getting on my nerves.
23. Uh...wasn't me, we talked about this, member? Some higher authority, I guess...but then...how comes the main picture thread is still there? ::dies::
24. Sara

Divorced!

Thus the quote marks... So sorry to hear it, Noodlez. You're more than welcome to talk to me if you wish..I can't offer much in the way of advice, but I can listen, and that often helps.
