1.
Originally posted by BabyGirl Isn't that making a rather large assumption about women?
A gross generalization, but one that fits the arguement. I could just as easily go the other way.... but, too tired. Maybe later, eh?
2. I get what you're saying, Kiwi. ;) I agree that the wars probably wouldn't be about power--they'd be about revenge, and spite, and plain ole' hate. I'm not saying we don't have wars about those things right now, mind--but there'd be a lot more of them if the world were controlled by--quote, unquote--the gentler sex. And it is a good conversation to have--I've had it with some of my buddies before, and I've seen it once or twice in forums. It's always better IRL, because you get dynamic discussion, instead of people trying to be brief and stand firm in their first post. And a lot of women do want power--and weild it well, in a quieter sense. You ever see a guy acting like a little lapdog at his girlfriend's feet? :smirk: You don't have to make headlines to be in charge or something--or someone. I also believe that if there's a position of power open, someone is going to fill it. And someone else is going to want it. And now, instead of all-out power wars, we get the nasty backbiting high school girl girl scenario again. Of course, if the only people left on earth were like me, the world would be perfect.
3. We'd have wars for different reasons--and of different kinds. I'm gonna use my high school as an example here. Two guys get in a fight, sooner or later there's going to be a fistfight. [Hopefully it never goes further than that.] And then it's over. Two girls get into a disagreement--and wow, you'd better pray you don't end up in the middle of that. Nasty words, clawing, shoving, dirty looks, betrayal, half the school hates you--and of course, it goes both ways. And it doesn't even have to be a major thing--show up wearing the same shirt as someone else, and there'll be sparks flying. I've seen year-long fights going on between two [for lack of a better word] clans of girls over the stupidest things..... So it depends on how you define 'war.'
4.
Originally posted by James I'm able to type really well while also being very fast...and I think that helps my post quality... a great deal. :)
...James and his never-ending quest for post quality. I learned to type in chat rooms.... Actually, one chatroom. Filled with friendly, nice, smart people. Who must have all used the home row, because their post quality--erhm, or whatever--was excellent. Or maybe just because they were all intelligent people? Nah..... I don't really think about home row and whatnot when I type. I s'pose I use most of the right fingers, but if I don't, it still works just fine. Had a typing class last year....it was torture, but I actually ended up using all the right fingers for a while. And even if I don't still use them, it did help my typing skills. This is how I type and it's fast enuff for me. Then again, I suddenly agree with James. If u type fast n rite n stuff u dont have 2 talk like this 2 b fast enuff 2 make ur point.

Tamers: v2

Okay....but.... where did he come from?
7. Same day every year, eh? Okay. I dream every night. Sometimes it's a bit of a saga, with one dream being set after one I had at a previous date. those are kinda cool. Last night I had a dream that Justin was trying to kill me.... oO;;
8. Plus it's got those cool little pictures on it....Kangaroos and stuff.
9. Ok, my bad, I should of said, "Some ignorant American people". It's not only that, that they're mad about, it's because I have different opinions. No one is angry with you because you have different opinions. Is anyone is, he's a fool for it. But you, sir, are also a fool--for presenting your views in such as way as to make that majority of this board upset with you. And backing up your statements with nothing but more angry words and attempts to victimize yourself.

Reading

The Giver was an excellent book.... The concept captivated mne, and the story was told beautifully.
11. I agree with Piro...huge eyes....very huge.... I like it very much.

Reading
Originally posted by Hybrid -_-;;; Reading is... EVIL! *hiss* I only read books that I have to because of school. But I like Viz Graphic Novels and such, I read comics too. Just not books, god I did, but not anymore, they got boring.
You, sir, must crave a very overstimulated life not to enjoy a good book when you have the chance. I envy you not. I love reading. I can't remember a time when I didn't love reading. Ender's Game was fantastic. I just recently read Ender's Shadow...Tis about Bean, it's a companion book, more than a sequel. And I'm gonna throw this out there again....Has anyone read the Ishmael saga, by Daniel Quinn? It includes Ishmael, My Ishmael, and The Story of B.
13. I don't know about that. Sure, there were fewer rules--and the ones that existed weren't exactly enforced--but there were also a lot fewer people, and everything was less active. Reaching 1000 posts used to be a big deal. oO; Not only did more people care about their post count, but they cared about other people's posts counts. I guess Nerdsy could probably even name the top ten posters of v2, and the first ten people to reach 1000 posts. He's weird that way. :whoops:

Tamers: v2

::massages temples:: Okay. We've got BGM, which is fine with me. I'm perfectly okay with various digivolves of critters we've already got, so long as they're, well, making sense. I don't think Coyotemon should show up right there. First of all, FlaWizardmon is sorta an old friend, and it's not very Digimonly just to vaporize people. And second, whether or not this is like a new season, there are plenty of digimon in the cards that have yet to show up and/or play a major role in any season. The reason I mentioned Calumon's stages as possible make-ups, is because we've already got a Lucemon gallavanting about with Alice. Which isn't to say we couldn't have another one--you guys've got the green Makuramon and the red Shindura[or whatever]mon., it just seems like it would be difficult to distinguish the two. I'd rather try to keep to the digimon we've already got, though. There are hundreds to choose from. It'd be a bit like cheating to pull in completely FMDs. And since Ginny's got this up on theOtaku as a continuation of Tamers, [which it is, mind.]...it's not fair to anyone reading to suddenly meet someone's FMD. Like I said, there are plenty of RPGs and stories that allow you to place yourself and your own digimon into the story line. This one's about Tamers. And there's just something that bugs me about fanmades that have the ability to destroy almost anything in its path. Anyone up for redoing the Coyotemon part? Masterdramon, you're welcome to join in. You'll just have to bear with the rest of us.

Piro--Superman, yes. Heh. My kid brother loves that movie. We now own it, and have the pleasure of viewing it whenever he wishes. oO; But it is a good movie....
16. It never occured to me.....But now, I must admit, I have a sudden need to draw Iorek....and Lee Scoresby!
17. Oke doke, here is my sister's awesome drawing. [I told you she was good, Shy.] This is just lineart, she hasn't colored it. Uriel, this one's yours. ;)
18. Appleworks, huh? Ouch. When I was little, I used to spend hours a day working on pictures in that thing... [Well, yeah, t'was actually Clarisworks.] And yeah....nothing illiegal works for a mac. :whoops: But 23 dollars a week is quite a bit of money. I sure as heck don't get that much. [Granted, I could get a job......but we're in the process of moving, and I don't have my license...so I'd have to get a job close to home....which means I have to wait till we move....] But you could certainly skim a little off of your iPod fund and get enough money to buy an image program. [I got Photoshop Elements as a gift last Christmas. Go me!] But actually, Download.com has some programs--usually thirty day trials--that you can get for free. And some even work for macs! best luck to you. Sara
19. And Soulma and Cherry... I wasn't sure if the Gatomon should have gloves or not, since Gatomon only wore those b/c or Myo, right? But you said the same as Kari's, excepting the 'tuff' of hair. So she's got gloves but no tailring. And Uriel!: My little sister drew an interpretation of your Gyromon. I'll see if I can't post it for you, kay?
20. I think this one was Zara? I just drew her hair loose.
21. Okay.... Sarsy, I ended up not coloring yours. And here's another Blazing Ice picture. [I have another one, too. >_< I like drawing Lopmon.]

I think....that Calu and Impmon...if we have them reach levels we haven't seen...could be exceptions. They're part of the story, after all. But mystery digimon coming out of nowhere, for no good reason....?
23. I prefer dreams where I'm not in control of anything but myself. It's too much work running the whole show. ;)
