1. You're all trying to make me fell guilty for not showing my pic, aren't you?
 2. LoL...so that is the picture TN was referring to that time....
 3.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Yeah I know.... we had this huge religious debate a few months back.... you could probably still find it if you wanted.... the title was "What do you think of Oraganized religion".... anyway.... yes I know you weren't refering to me, but I like to state my stand on it anyway heh.... and don't worry about getting all flaired up... I won't let that happen....
Boy, do I ever remember that. Yeah, it died down just after the September 11 incident. Well, you guys all know where I stand on this....issue, or debate, or whatever you care to call it. So, anyway....
Originally posted by James Once again, I refer to the book titled "Telling Lies for God". It points out the many areas in which the bible contradicts itself and so essentially, it should not be taken as a factual document.
You know, you got me all geared up to read that book, and my public library doesn't have it....
Originally posted by James However, the bible that most people see today (the King James version) is actually highly watered down. Why do you think they call it the King James Bible? Because it was edited by King James. Therefore, you're not getting the whole story.
It's kinda weird that you say that. I know alot of people who won't read anything but KJV, since they consider it the original, and therefore the most accurate.
Originally posted by James The original bible contained references to everything from torture to cannibalism. Of course, these practices were acceptable at the time. But given this knowledge, would you then start practicing these things simply because the bible looked at it in a positive light? Of course not.
And I still want to hear more about this original Bible stuff...You've mentioned it before, and I'm still intrigued......
Originally posted by James And yes, we've had several religious debates here before. But I believe that as long as people behave maturely, it's fine to express your views and be respectful of others. As TN said, nobody is trying to say that you can't believe in what you want. You can believe whatever you like -- as long as you respect other's opinions.
Amen. ;)
 4.
Originally posted by GinnyLyn By the way: a^2 + b^2 = c^2 *eyes Cera's last post* Wanna go halfsies? My mom and I complain about that theorem all the time. And if anyone tries to tell me that math is FUN, that it is freaking GOOD FOR YOU, then you can KISS M-- kiss my gerbil, uh yeah, that's what I meant.
Uh, [huh. Well, introduce me to him, some time....:p I'm evil, but you love me anyway, don't you?
 5.
Originally posted by BabyGirl Lol, thanks Cera...you have clarified it for me. No Forte, it wasn't that exact avatar, it was the one available here at the boards. This one:
Well, i try.... Heh... I remember first seeing your picture and suddenly realizing how I had always subconsciously pictured you as a sort of sly looking girl with blue hair. Can't really go by avatars, can we? LoL.
 6.
Originally posted by BabyGirl What are you on about, eh?
As far as I can tell... Forte thinks you mean that your first avatar was the exact one in this thread...or something.... ::shrugs:: Like I know...
 7. TN is right [as usual. Scorch, Transtic! Doesn't that ever get the least bit boring, always being right?] Christ was born somewhere from 4 to 6 BC. It used to be 0, but the calendar was screwed up. [Sounds like a classic American move, but it happened long before america was founded.] And yes, as far as the day, no one knows when he was actually born. Voodookanaka is also right. The celebration of the Winter Solstice was on Dec. 25 for a while. Christman was placed there to sort of overshadow the 'pagan' holiday. Later, with more accurate calculations, the solstice was moved to the twenty-first, or whatever it is now... Me, I love Christmas. One of the few times my whole family gets together.
 8.
Originally posted by Cloud exactly, if you're immortal you can't suffer from sickness or cancer or anything... you can only die if your head get's chopped off or something.
Heh...well, it depends on what sort of immortality we're talking about here, doesn't it? ---Alive and aging forever---what would you look like when you reach a hundred fifty or so? Ugh.... I suppose you would still have sickness and stuff, you'd be miserable, unable to die from it.... Come on! What if you had ebola or something...that would be....just....just....just....Can you imagine having something that painful, forever, without dying? ---Alive and at a single age forever--=the sort of thing you see in stories when people drink magic potions and stuff ---Alive until killed--not really technically immortal, huh? ---Alive until killed, but still sort of alive--what, you get you head chopped off and walk around with it under your arm forever? gross... And other stuff to, that i'm too lazy to type out or anything....
 9.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve it's like... the Pythagorean Theorm only works with right triangles... thus that is a law...
My teacher once told me that if anyone I knew mentioned the Pythagorean Theorem outside of class, he'd give me a dollar.... Too bad I don't go to that school anymore... :p
 10. Well, I guess I came too late to display my immense knowledge by being the first to state it was a trick.... :p How about this? This sentence is false. Anything in parentheses can(not) be ignored.
 11. 1. Money- nah... 2. Power- With power comes responisbility and corruption and a bunch of pother stuff I have no intention of dealing with. 3. Intelligent- Check. :p 4. Beauty- I'm quite okay with how I look, thank you. 5. Healthy- Eh... stuff n stuff 6. Happy/Good night sleep- YES!! This is what I really need. 7. Love/respected by others- Yes... 8. Immortal- This is quite possibly the scariest thing possible...
 12. I'm sorry Rico... Life hurts, sometimes. I wish you the best in whatever you do.
 13. If I'm drawing real people I usually try and do things properly with correct proportions and stuff. Nothing's right, though--Anime throws all that stuff out the window.... Once you've got a feel for your character--have drawn him or her a few times--you can start pretty much anywhere and it'll turn out okay.
 14.
Originally posted by DeathKnight So.... the moral of the story is... Never order a seafood salad... at a greek resturant
I shall try to remember that.....heh...
 15. Well, as far as exotic foods go, I don't suppose i could really remember anthing specific. I'll try anything once, if it's set before me. Granted, there are some things that I'll never try again, but.....
 16. I'm quite a bookworm myself, and won't bore you with the unending list of my favorite books.... ;) Just to leave it at I've got quite a collection of books of all sorts.
 17. I don't know....does tofu count as exotic? ..... does tofu count as a food?
 18. I saw it once, a long time ago.... I don't really remember much, but I do remember liking it.
 19. They aren't message boards, exactly. ;) They allow you to draw and post said drawings on the net. I find them quite addictive, and I was wondering who else here went to one...
 20. Do any of you spend time at Oekaki boards? If so, which ones?
 21.
Originally posted by Lady Macaiodh why would a chick name herself cecil... I'm too lazy to do anything with it. It's still got everything set on default.
I go here, and to GLOB.
