Free time? Haha, oh man, that's a good one. ... I spend most of my "free time" doing homework in my friends' room. Good times! (I also enjoy drawing, sculpting, drinking tea, cooking, writing, taking pictures, and going for walks.

I don't drink, but I don't have a problem with the fact that my friends do. It makes things a little awkward sometimes, but eh. Whaddyagonnado?

2006 was pretty good for me. I got out of a bad relationship, had a good summer, cut my hair short for the first time in my life, made a bunch of new friends, and survived the hardest semester of my life. Onward and upward!
... I see no point in returning to old roles pointlessly. That said, I'd certainly have to be the one to propose.
What if your significant other proposed to you, first? Would you say no? If you like someone, and you think they like you back, ask them out. That goes for guys and girls. Maybe it's just a result of how I was raised, but I don't see why the question would even come up.
What brought me to do this thread is obvisly i just go dumped by my 20th to 30th love of my life.
I can't help thinking that you have rather low standards for that position. I broke up with my boyfriend in March, after a year of being in a relationship. It was messy, and frustrating, and difficult for both of us, I think. I was still very much in love with him at the time, but had finally recognised the fact that being in a relationship with him was making me miserable. If I were to change one thing about what happened, I would have broken up with him several months earlier. It would be nice to be able to remember our relationship as mostly good, instead of half good and half disaster. Either way, though, I learned a lot about him, about myself, and about the way I interact with people. It wasn't all bad.
He lives in the Hidden Village of the Sand, according to his myOtaku, so snow is probably a rare commodity to him.
I'm not 18 yet, soon to be though, and I smoke. My parents probably know, and question me, but I do deny it. I do wish to tell them, but am not sure how to do so without them punishing me or something. They used to smoke too, so I'm sure they'd be understanding to an extent, but they are not too carefree about what I do. Any suggestions?[/SIZE']
I think that the best way to go about this hangs largely on whether or not you intend to keep smoking or if you want to quit.
What's your favourite sock? http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=3534 What's your favourite sock is a 2001 thread created in the ashes of V2 and the formative days of V3 versions of the boards history. The discussion revolved around socks, and members preferences for sock type. Some members perferred fluffy socks, while others preferred thinner types. Master O Beans only liked the ones with the red stripes at the top because they are "good for burning." Today, the socks thread would be considered spam. The thread lives on in infamy, being resurrected in later years to demonstrate how far OtakuBoards' has evolved in terms of post quality and as a defense against letting favourites threads back inside the rules. The popluarity of the socks thread has waned in recent years, however, owing to the fact that OB now lets some favourites threads with decent discussion into the lounge. This has rednered the socks thread as an exemplary obsolete for the most part.
For the record... The "What's your favourite type of sock?" thread was created as a joke. It spawned from comments made by James and Safer Sephiroth in the thread Im Cute, Im Hot. Lamenting the current state of General Discussion and the overwhelming number of "what's your favorite" threads, the two admins noted that "on the bright side, we have yet to have a favourite type of sock thread." Final_Flash, then a staff member, seized the opportunity to tease James and Safer and created the (in)famous thread. For comparison purposes, there was also a 2006 thread about favorite types of socks. -

Otakupedia Entries/Suggestions/Discussion thread
My only grit is that currently Otakupedia is so heavily focused on nostalgy and reminiscense - generally stuff that the majority of the current active memberbase hasn't experienced. I haven't even seen any requests to make articles about current members or recent happenings in this thread yet. I guess I just fear that this project alienates the newer members and turns into an oldie fest... :/
So write about something new. =p The people who have been posting know a lot about the past. Let us revel in some nostalgia and our tributes to old friends. We're getting old, and our feeble minds can't hold these memories much longer. =] -

... If Nerdsy is willing (and I feel like he should be), I think the Otaku Triads (....why is that in the plural, anyway?) would be up for moderating OtakuPedia. EDITS to existing articles: kuja's font was century gothic. You wrote courier new in the article. Other seed articles BabyGirl Category: Old members, Adam's Angels, OtakuBoards Staff BabyGirl (registered 2001, real name Jenna) was a long-time popular member of OtakuBoards. She quickly (within a month or two of registering) became a moderator of the General Discussion forum, and she was later appointed a "Goddess" (then the equivalent of a Category Moderator). Babygirl was an enthusiastic Star Wars fan, and participated with Justin in the story Star Wars Our Way, one of OB's early dramatic RPG/collaborative storytelling efforts. She was also notable for her love of dance and photography, as well as being popularly considered one of the most attractive members of the boards. Along with Queen Asuka and Lady Mac, Babygirl was one of the three "Adam's Angels." She was largely identified with Faye Valentine, as many of her avatars featured the character. Safer Sephiroth Category: Old members, OtakuBoards Staff. Safer Sephiroth (registered 2001, username later changed to simply Sephiroth; also called "Safer" or "Sephy") was an early legendary figure in OtakuBoards history. He became a moderator soon after registering and was later appointed an administrator in what was considered by the general populace of OB to be "record time." He was also one of the first members to break the 1000 post mark. Renee Category: Old members, OtakuBoards Staff, Digimods, Digipeeps Renee (registered 2000) was a member of the close-knit Digimon forum, as well as a moderator there. She sported a Palmon avatar, and was known for her habit of *sipping tea* in her posts. She was the first (possibly second) female moderator of OtakuBoards, and the first female member to reach the 1000 post mark. She was also one of the youngest moderators, at eleven (later twelve) years old during the time she held her staff position. Although she largely disappeared after the switch to OB V3 in August 2001, Renee continued to lurk and post for several years. Her last post was in 2004. Requested write-ups: Meteo City, Kill Adam, FF:S, Otaku Big Brother. I'd seed those, but I don't have anything to say other than "This was a popular RPG started by _____." As an aside: I STILL want a [kuja]post style tag...;)[/kuja].
:o You capitalised the first letter! He'll get you in your sleep y'know.. EDIT: Final Flash, Break, voodookanaka, Desert Shadow plzk?
voodookanaka, holy COW. I haven't heard that name in a long time. Here at least are a couple starting points: Voodookanaka Category: Old members Voodookanaka (registered 2000) was a popular member of the OB many years ago. Notable trivia: He looked alarmingly like his FF7 Cloud avatar. Desert Shadow Category: Old members, artists, writers Desert Shadow (registered 2000/2001?) was a popular member of the OB many years ago. He was an artist, occasionally posting drawings or sketches (notably of buckets). He also occasionally posted poetry in the General Discussion (now Otaku Lounge) forum, one of the first to do so. (This was well before there was a designated forum for written works.) One of his poems was posted on theOtaku's main page in 2001 or 2002. Desert Shadow (also "DS") frequently used the phrase "silly bucket" and at one point became head of the Silly Bucket Brigade, an early signature club. This became a long-running and popular inside joke among people who were members of the club or participated in his threads. His favorite number was 72, and he threw a 7nd Post Party to celebrate when his post count reached that number. Notable trivia: DS always posted in plain bold text. This was before custom font size/colors were available (?), so he was the first person to have a "signature" posting style. IM_GENGAR Category: Old members IM_GENGAR was the first member of OtakuBoards to reach a post count of 1000.
