Wow, this is odd. I was thinking of this place a little while ago and meant to pop on...never did. I don't know if anyone will remember me (well I know SaiyanPrincessX will, just cause she is awesome that way). I used to LOVE this place. I was talking to a friend of mine about how forums and message boards just don't have the same community feel anymore as everyone just uses Facebook or Twitter now... i told her about all the little RPGs we used to do on here and how it was such a cool wee community, she kinda laughed it off, but it made me want to come back and see how it was doing. Then I forgot again and got on with the usual shizzle. I'm currently procrastinating from applying for my second degree course...scary to think that I used to come on here when I was just a kid and since then I have got a degree, been working in the big bad world and now back applying for my second! It was when I was filling in the application form and had that daunting "HOLY SHNITZEL THAT WAS 10 YEARS AGO?!" realisation, I got thinking of this place again. So, yeah, basically, hey, hope you are all doing good and stuff. I remember a lot of these names on this thread, it's cool to think we all the same nostalgia pang

That is correct...it is me...Shinobi!!! :O lol. [U]The Stone Roses[/U] Not many people know this band but they are my all time fave band. They were a mix of British Indie-Dance-Rock. The front man Ian Brown is, in my opinion, one of the best British Indie band frontmen...ever! Think of Liam Gallagher from Oasis...only 10 times funnier, witty and not so much of a prick! Gallagher wouldn't be around if it wasn't for Brown. John Squire (guitarist) is simply a genius guitarist and song writer with his riffs and licks to beat any other. Reni (drummer) was phenominally funky and was known for his amazing drumming skills, many trademarks such as the snare shots and hi-hats inbetween a complicated drum fill. Mani (bassist) was known for his funky and complex bass lines, along with his comical stage work. All in all, The Stone Roses were gonna make it big....VERY big. Due to legal issues with their record company Silverstone and large gaps (5 years) between debut album and follow up album...this caused the fall of their massive hype. They sold out an illegal mini-festival which they set up theirselves which was almost the size of Glastonbury and everyone only new by word of mouth!!! amazing! Legends... [U]Oasis[/U] Another British Indie band but a classic. Catchy, brillaint songs, what more can you ask for? A controversial frontman with the bands fanbase growing everyday, they were propelled into stardom. Brillaint! [U]The Charlatans[/U] Another brillaint Mancheste British Indie Rock band just like the rest of my top 3. This band is slightly diffrent though. Less rock and roll than the othere 2 but still amazing. Deffinetley an excellent band indeed. Sorry for the small writing on the last 2 bands but i am short of time. Nice to see you all again.

Hmm...to be honest...the only reason i really enjoyed this film was because i was so excited about it and that i amsuch a fan of the first one. If i was any person who had seen the first one and thought it was average and then went to see the second one...i probably would have been disapointed. What i am getting at, is that in a way, i was dissapointed...but it was extremely well done (both volumes that is). I do like the thought of contrasting volumes. The first; full on gore, action, death and destuction...although you hardly even know everyones names nevermind theit background. The second; full on background, leads, explenation and description...yet hardly any action. I think Tarantino did this to please everyone...those action/gore freaks can love the second one and get intimate with it if they choose and crap on the second for he cares, and those plot development freaks can have their way with volume 2 if they wish and crap on volume 1 OR those who love the all round genuis of this film can have a nice little three-some...:). Sorry sex on the mind :wigout:. Although i love these 2 films as a whole i do have gripes... [spoiler]Volume 1: The black and white-ness...i just hope that on the DVD it is in full colour. I do however respect the artistry and thought behind the black and white scenes. Volume 2: The way they make it out that Beatrix (The Bride) is non-human. I am not certain but see when she was shot at point-blank range with the shotgun...i remember catching Bud say on the fone somthing about "salt-bullets" or somthing....but i was not sure if it was just redneck-trailer-park-trash-slang...can someone clarify? Also when she climed out of the grave. I did like the use of the technique Pai Mei taught her and she finally succeeded when she needed it most, but the way she climed out the grave....it wouldn't be possible in the slightest because: 1. The mud would fill up the grave faster than punching througha hole big enough to fit through. 2. Trying to climb out if impossible becuase she isnt 8 foot tall. 3. The mud would slip away from underneath her like quicksand and she would get pulled under easily. I thought i was being clever (and patient, i can't wait to own the 2 films on DVD) on waiting for the Box-Set but now you have informed me of special versions BEFORE the box-set and most probably every version of DVD on both volumes will have diffrent extra features. The most wanted feature is the black and white scene in Volume 1 in full colour...

I am in a band called The Spheres. I showed Charles some of our stuff a while back, although we have improved since then. The band is made up of me and my mates, i play drums, my friend Jordan sings and playes rythm, Andy plays bass and wee Chris plays lead guitar. A 4 piece, although we might recruits another mate to play rythm as Jordan may sing full out instead of playing and singing too.

LOL! Don't get me started. Me and my mates were filming our own Jackass called The Dogs Bollocks. One of my "stunts" wasto drink something AWFUL! Here the recipe: OXO Gravy Cube Gravy Granules WarmIce Cream Pepper Off Milk Vodka Rum Blended Choclate that was out of date Salt Sugar Coke Beer Some other minor stuff was thrown in also. OMG! I took to gulps and was puking for 10 minutes straight. There was stuff actually floating ontop of the liquids surface and the smell alone could make you puke. Also, just for the camera, i puked in the "beverage" and darnk some more lol. That added another 5 minutes of puking on lol. Man....the things you do when your drunk.

Yup, Turkish was played great, The Monk was played great infact...everyone was played great. For my favrioutes however: Snatch (my fave out of the 3): Character: It's quite hard to choose, Tony, Turkish or Avi Lock Stock (2nd) Character: Vinny Jones by far! Well to be honest...i think the man is a genious! His films are funny, full of action...and down right BRITISH! Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrells, this film was a masterpiece. Snatch...even better than Lock Stock (i didn't think there could have been such a film) Mean Machine...probably the least favrioute out of the bunch but still, hilarious and British! Basically, i want to know what everyone thinks of these films, what they think of Guy Ritchie and who was your favrioute character out of the films.

Well around 12:30 PM i got a phone call from my Dad who was at my Gran's house. They had noticed a News Flash come on the TV and he phoned straight away. Obvioulsy this is great news! To be honest however, i didn't like how the Americans didn't really mention the Kurds until later on. I found out later on in a more depth news report that it was infact leads from the Kurds that led to the capture. Today is my Grandpa's 75th birthday AND Saddam is capture...seems like a very good day :D.

[i]The meeting went perfect, hardly one arguement broke out, the only small "heated dispute" shall we say, was from the American's. They needed more drugs and needed it now, but so did mostly all the rest and was quickly set silent after an onslaught of dagger eyes and having facts and figures thrown in his face. This the response was harsher than usual becuase it was a lower ring leader that blurted it out, he had no right to. Giovanni was pleased with the meeting, the facts were a bit baffling, as always. Giovanni was used to his Pops' plans, nice and simple: "You shoot [insert name] the one that is wearing [insert clothes]." He wasn't used to all this facts and figures mumbo-jumbo, but he had learned to face with it, and whatever he could pick up, he did. It was the social drinking time, the bar was starting to fill and Giovanni didn't want to miss any of the conversation nor the alcoholic beverages. He placed himself next to a girl at first he did not recongnise, she was talking to one fo the Russians. He turned to the bartender:[/i] "A shot of After Shock my friend." "Coming your way, Sir" [i]The small glass was placed onto the table, Giovanni snapped it back as well as his neck and with one gulp it was gone. He slammed it on the table with a shake of his head.[/i] "There we go, get the old taste buds movin' Ahah!" [i]The bartender smiled has he wiped one of the glasses with his cloth.[/i] "Can i get a pint of San Miguel." "Er...you sure you wanna take something staight aft..." [i]He didn't get to finish, Giovanni butted in with a repeat of his order.[/i] "Er...your the boss, Sir." "Yeah...I am, aint I. Hah." [i]He playfully continued to laugh the uneasy bartender. The glass was filled to the brim with cold, throthy, beer. He gave the 'tender a 20.[/i] "Keep the change, bud." "Thankya Sir. Your too kind." [i]Giovanni swivled on his stool to scan the rest of the room but he didn't turn more thab 90 degrees when he stopped. The girl that he was sitting beside was infact Rebbecca! He had to look twice, and it deffinetly was her. He tapped her on the shoulder, interrupting what the Russain was saying. Rebbecca looked over her should and then turned to face Giovanni.[/i] "Hey! Rebbecca you look *looks her up and down* absolutley STUNNING! I didn't even notices it was you!" "Hello Giovanni, how ya doin'? Good?" "Eh, alright i geuss. So who's yer friend? Is that Petir?" He knew that he would need to stop thinking negative about the Russians, this was what this whole meeting was about, cooperation. The other feeling running through his mind was...that guy is god damn lucky. He eyed Rebecca up and down and then turned back to the matter at hand. He noticed that Don Merconi was ready to speak. He tapped his glass with his one of his massive gold rings. A beautiful melody chimmed and rang through the ears of everyone in the room, it fell silent...deadly silent. Don Merconi cleared his throat and stood up.[/i] Don: I want to thank you all for coming today, the meeting shall commence in a matter of minutes, HOWEVER! I urge that everyone...EVERYONE! Take their fingers off of their triggers. [i]He looked at a select few from all the 3 parties and then continued.[/i] Don: Thank you, we would like to see this meeting through with nothing more than negotiation. The meeting will start once everyone has introduced themselves. [i]There was no need for introductions, everyone knew [b]exactly[/b] whom everyone was.
