I came back to visit this post forgetting what I posted here and realized that I'm once again eating sweets in the middle of the night (cream puff). Geez lol! -_-
-
I just started playing Destiny (finally) and have been also playing Mortal Kombat X, Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 since they just added the 200cc.
-
I really have a soft spot for Kimblee from Fullmetal Alchemist lol.

I LOVED Kimi Ni Todoke! Really sweet and frustrating romantic anime. Baka and Test is a decent comedy-ish one to start off with and is pretty funny but there is a lot of fan service in it. Kenichi is a fun fighting anime with a good amount of comedy relief and I was actually pretty impressed with the character development in such a short period of time. If I recall I believe it's only like 26 episodes or something. ^_^ I hope this helps!

Anime What are You Watching/Reading Now?
AmbyCakes replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Otaku Central
Anime I've been watching are Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online, RWBY *really not sure how I feel about it though* Gourmet Girl Graffiti and Bakka and Test. I haven't had much time lately to catch up on everything though. -
I totally agree 100% ^^

I like going to the gym. Best way to kill time if you're just doing some light cardio or incline is bring your phone, headphones and Crunchyroll app lol. Seriously kills time in the best way possible.

Oh, I should have clarified that I did give it another shot and really loved it with the exception of the first few episodes lol. I may start NOT tonight (eehhhh I should go to bed -_-)

I was baby sitting for my neighbors and they had a bunch of Sailor Moon videos, so I was automatically drawn to the ones in pink and sparkly boxes. I was about 13 or 14 at the time so late 90's. They let me borrow them, kinda like a video store. I would watch DBZ Kai on Saturday mornings but I swear they played the same 2 episodes every month. I didn't get into DBZ until early 2000's and it's because of my husband, who was also my boyfriend at that time in high school. ^_^ I watched stuff like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Inuyasha in the late 90's and early 2000's but back then you'd have to watch it during after school cartoons or Adult Swim or buy videos from ebay. Sometimes they'd have a few in movie/novelty shops like Sunrise. The Struggle. If streaming existed back then it would've been a different story. I know it. lol

Ahhh! ^_^ I have been meaning to watch this, but I have so much to catch up on it's insane. I'm happy to hear some good feedback about it. I was a bit skeptical yet excited when I saw it available on my streaming. I loved Soul Eater but the first few episodes were super annoying. I had actually given up on it because PUMPKIN PUMPKIN PUMPKIN drove me insane. I get a little paranoid sometimes when I'm watching super cute anime with talented story writing because I find myself wondering if something really dramatic is about to happen and then relieved that the writing stays consistent. For example, when a supporting character gets rejected by her crush and the school ends up hating her you wonder if she'd do something tragic but then... they all make up and become friends and you're like "OH THANK GOD SHE'S STILL ALIVE". With that being said, I'm looking forward to watching NOT even more now. Thank you!! ^_^

I really enjoyed this series a lot and wanted more since the writing felt so rushed. However, there was a bit too much romantic drama for me, but I know I'm being biased since I can't help but compare it to Last Airbender. I get annoyed with Tenzin's parenting lol. Control your kids man! XD I hope they consider writing a series which explains Ang and Team Avatar's journeys and experiences throughout adulthood... just throwin' that out there.

I definitely agree but on the flip side, it gets a little annoying when somebody asks me a really basic question when they could simply Google it. IDK... it's like, did you really have to make me exhaust my time to answer this? I promise I'm a really patient person haha! I just had a few friends who only contacted me to ask me stupid questions. lol!

I went to cooking school too! ^_^ I usually have homemade beans and steamed rice made here, so that's my lazy go-to food. Well... last night I stayed up WAY too late. I ate Pockey and some black soy milk. I shouldn't have sweets so late at night but... anime marathoning makes me really really hungry. During the day when I'm super busy with deadlines I make a giant extra healthy smoothie and add in frozen bananas, strawberries, raw cacao nibs...

I usually watch walk-through tutorials if I'm really stuck in a game. I find myself watching a lot of anime-inspired every day makeup looks but then find myself watching North Korea conspiracy documentaries and documentaries about people trying to achieve immortality. IDK which YouTubers I really like these days. They're all pretty loud and obnoxious. I have to be in the mood for them. ^_^

Hello! I just joined yesterday and am so happy I found this place! Hoping to make some new friends!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the link! I would love an active community and am really happy I found this place.

Death Note is a good anime to get back into the loop since it isn't very long. If you don't mind very graphic and violent content, Elfen Lied is really good as well. Yea, Full Metal Alchemist is great. I liked both FMA and Brotherhood and have shamelessly watched Brotherhood 3x haha!

Well, I'm a super n00b here, but I was looking for a community of people who share common interests. Despite living in a pretty large city, I still feel like a loner lol. I would like to think that message boards aren't dead. It sucks. Some of the most awesome people I've met were through communities with asynchronous communication. It's always something to look forward to when it's time to log on. As of right now, I am the only active member online here. I'd like to see a place like this grow. It seems a bit unorganized. I was looking for a thread where noobies introduce themselves.

Mortal Kombat Komplete - Storymode. Currently trying desperately to defeat Shao Khan. I bought this game on an impulse since it had been so long since playing MK. I miss needing a game guide. Idk... I hate the fact that everything which was once golden to know is so easily available now. Animal Crossing New Leaf - It's my favorite thing to do when I can't sleep and am too lazy to get out of bed. Fable 3 - I've had this game for a while, started playing then got distracted by life so recently restarted from the beginning.

Anime Series you never thought you'd love but wound up loving anyway.

Save Me! Lollipop lol! Well, most parts. I also loved Fruits Basket.
