OK, I'll modify one of my old characters for this RPG... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Masuket Age: appears to be 21 Eyes: Crystal blue, almost clear Hair: Pale silvery blue, straight, and goes to just below the shoulders. Sex: Female Element: Ice Race: Human, pretty much Class: Elementalist, Storm class Primary weapon: Nothing that would be considered primary Secondary weapon: If you can call it a weapon, a magic bracelet that just serves to detect danger and stuff. Spells: Blizzard: (Ice) Quite self-explanatory. Summons a blizzard that can be specified to also create wind, hail, cold temperature, mist, etc. Tundra Freeze: (Wind) The temperature of the surrounding air drops drastically, freezing everything in the area to a certain extent. Glacier Wave: (Ice) Creates a spiral-like wave of cold water that can make freezing worse or enhance lightning and thunder spells. Crystal Gaze: (Ice) An icy gaze that can immobilize the victim or have some hypnotic effect. White Lightning: (Lightning) A special lightningbolt that shines brightly and may may blind or freeze. Enhanced if victim is wet. Appearance: Masuket is about 5'6" tall and very pale and quite thin. She wears a meduim-sleeved white shirt and a white skirt with a long, shiny, light blue and purple dress over it. She also has white, fairly high-heeled shoes that can transform into ice skates by sprouting blades, and two sashes the same colors as her dress--they look similar to flower petals and can morph into wings. Personality: Masuket's heart is as cold as the spells she uses. She's very quiet and usually strikes fear into those she stares at for quite a long while. She usually acts much like a siren, enticing the people around her with an appearance of beauty, but she won't even try to make friends with anyone. She's quite selfish--she won't care if the spells she uses affect everyone around her, including her allies. She's usually seen as distant and mysterious. Bio: Masuket used to be quite kind and paid close attention to the affairs and conflicts to the gods; she always felt like a goddess, thinking her powers and spells were those of one. She had six sisters, all of different classified elements, but they all went to different worlds to solve problems in different places. Masuket was left alone. This did not bother her; she was meant by her parents to be independent all her life. When she got older and more experienced, she saw more of the Rain God and the Storm Brothers; she realized then that she probably wasn't a god because she believed that no two gods had similar powers, and one of the Storm Brothers was the brother of Ice; his abilities were quite similar to those of Masuket. When the brothers drew close to the mountain atop which she lived, she would always summon a blizzard to draw their attention away or make them think that they involuntarily set up the storm. But one day she noticed that the brothers disappeared somehow with the rain god. Her bracelet glowed constantly over the next moments, meaning that they will return in the future. A part of her wanted them to return sooner, but all that happened was that she woke up one day and found herself in the future... Is that signup OK? I'm still not sure about the spells/bio...

Heh, sounds pretty cool! Now, to pick a character... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Somne Adouine Age: 64 Power: Healing powers, telepathy, and the ability to create illusions. Description: She doesn't look that much like an old woman... She's about 4-and-a-half feet tall and has straight, shoulder-length, white hair with hints of pale green. She has lavender eyes, very pale skin, and wears a long-sleeved white shirt and long white pants, with a pale green and blue dress over it. She also wears plain white shoes and always carries a silver bag that has some unknown and weirdstuff in it, mostly in bottles... Background: Somne knew about the Kako spirits ever since she was seven years old. Her grandmother was a priestess and always said a special prayer every night to keep the prosperous mountainside village of Masumei away from the spirits. Somne would watch her every night and wondered if she could do anything to assist her since she was growing old. Somne wasn't worried that much because her mother could always take her place. However, one fateful day, Somne's grandmother walked out of town and never returned. Somne's mother guessed that the spirits killed her, and the family grew very sad. But later, Somne was summoned to the mountains by some sort of friendly spirit. She was Drime, and she claimed to be a Kako spirit that managed to turn good and stole life by draining energy, not by killing. She protected Somne from the still evil spirits and taught her some of the healing spells she knew, hoping they would help her protect the area from the spirits when her mother died. She did so, and later she gained her other abilities through experience. But what she found out was that her mother was summoned by a special group to get rid of the spirits. Mother decided that this idea was better than hiding from the spirits. She then left town, and Somne tagged along--she was 60 by then. One day on the mission, while Somne was sleeping, her mother saw this group of people performing some sort of ritual. She realized that this was supposed to get rid of the spirits. Since she had a faint ability to see the dead, she joined them, but like the others, she was cursed by the spirits, and three days later, she died. But before she died, she taught Somne the chant she used to protect the village in the past, and she also told her to keep protecting the village. Later, Somne heard about the demon that just appeared and decided to stop him as her mother helped stop the spirits. Whew, that bio was long... Hope I'm in and that my character doesn't have too many powers... I could remove one if necessary...

"Well then," said a voice behind Rayne and Kieko, "I'm going too." Rayne and Kieko turned around just to find Asunan following them. Both rolleed their eyes and shrugged. "Well, you two can go alone," Asunan suggested, "but I just wanted to tell you a few things. Celestia and I were just talking, and we figured that Hawk must have a real form somewhere, but that place will be in another dimension and very hard to reach from this physical space. If we can destroy him in his very home, we can destroy him for good. Celestia's already telling this to Toshi and the others, so hopefully that will be our plan. Also, Rayne, you wanted to know where Riv was, right? Well, I just saw him. He went back home to Krii to gather some information from the wisemen there, but the island was destroyed... I'll let Riv explain the rest when he comes back, if he comes back." Rayne and kieko were still surprised about Asunan's plan, unsure of whether it will work. "It's just a suggestion, but that's at least what I want to do about this," Asunan reassured. "I guess you can come if you want; I don't care," Rayne said to her. "Just don't be annoying or anything. Oh, and do you know how soon Riv will come back?" "Sometime; just be patient," Asunan answered. "I asked him to come back, but I'm not going to force him to." And with that, the three continued walking down the path. A couple of them sensed some sort of wolf following them--Asunan even thought it was one of Hawk's copies in disguise at first. Rayne noticed the wolf but didn't think it was important, but Kieko looked in that direction with caution. Back in the main group, some people began to fall asleep, Mereduin being the first one. She figured it was no use to stay awake; most of the rest of the group was arranged in couples. Veil was with Toshi, and Garren was with Arunue. She also noticed Celestia walking over to Symoni after telling the group about the plan she came up with. Symoni stood up and spotted Rayne, Kieko, and Asunan walking off down the path. "If you don't want to do anything else," Celestia suggested, "you could join them." She pointed towards the three wanderers and then walked over to her sister, who was fast asleep. She smiled as she looked down at her; she was using the large basket she always carried around for a pillow and her cape as a blanket, so that she looked like a little kitten cuddling up to a ball of yarn. Celestia then walked away and flew up so that she landed atop a tall rock. She looked up at the stars--it was a very clear night. When will it be over? she wondered. When Hawk's through, we can go home and be in peace. All we need is a surefire plan that everyone will be willing to follow, and mostly everyone follows plans from either Toshi or Arunue, as I found. So if they agree with things, that might be the plan... I feel so useless yet so powerful at this moment...

I accept, Celestia and Asunan said telepathically to Toshi in unison. Both had overheard Toshi's "speech", or, rather, read it in his thoughts. You too? Celestia sent a telepathic signal to Asunan. My home was just destroyed, Asunan answered. And, this new power... came over me. ...Do you remember Katea, the previous leader of the Star Knights? Perhaps you don't--that was in our previous mission... "Katea..." Celestia said to herself. "That name sort of rings a bell..." Celestia, you were wondering about how you were transported between your home and this world? Asunan asked. You know, I think it does have something to do with that harpy business... You know, when I transformed into Ravene in our battle against Morak, I felt like some force connected me to another world, another power source... It's almost like I fused with someone or something... Wait, Celestia, behind you... Celestia shrugged; she knew someone was approaching her. "Hi, Celestia..." said a voice. "Forgive me for being blunt, but I'm actually the reincarnation--sort of--of Maridra." Celestia turned around and saw a harpy--the first talking one she met in her life. "If that name sounds troubling to you, though," the harpy continued, "you may now call me Ametite, if that sounds better." "Wait--don't tell me--I know where this is going..." Celestia started to say. "Heh," Ametite interrupted. "Give your psychic powers a rest and let me do the talking. You first appeared in Krii when I transported you there. Morak secretly let me do that so that he could destroy you faster. You know, kind of like a black lottery thing. He picked you at random, isn't that funny?" "He picked me because I had special powers that could enable me to stop him if the right steps were taken," Celestia corrected. "Now, doesn't it make sense to destroy the strongest first to..." Then, she stopped. Wait... she thought. Hawk's not destroying the strongest first... he's... no, wait, he did intend to destroy us first, but he met harsh resistance, so he fled to increase his power. "Yeah," Celestia continued. "He wanted to destroy the rest of the group and I before we got any stronger. It... seems psychology is different with Hawk." "You were thinking about Hawk," Ametite clarified. "How interesting..." "Maybe you can help... no," Celestia started to say, but she caught herself. "I know you, you wouldn't help a human." Ametite blushed at Celestia's realization. "But," Celestia continued, "could you bring me back?" "Well, yeah," Ametite answered in a tone of displeasurement. "Humans in my forest bring back terrible memories, but that's another story..." She pointed to a nearby tree, where a portal stood wide open. Celestia walked through it to find herself back with Toshi and the rest of the group. When Celestia arrived, the rest of the group turned to her with looks of confusion. A few seconds later, a shadowy spiral appeared behind the group. This diverted the group's attnetion to it. When the spiral vanished, in its place was Asunan. "Heh, I guess I can teleport as well?" Asunan said with humor and uncertainty. Some people laughed at this, but Toshi frowned and looked towards the two newly arrived girls with a confused look. "I know your worries," Celestia commented. "But it's a long story..." Some of the next few moments were spent by Celestia and Asunan telling the group (some of) what happened while they were away and what they learned.

OOC: Sorry about the delay... I've been racking my brains for a plot twist in this RPG, and I finally got one... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, in a region of the internet far away from any computer known to man... "Power. Power..." said a virus enclosed in a glass cell. He looked similar to a vampire and a griffin, with pitch-black wings, dark purple fur, and bright red, evil-looking eyes. He was known by the name Doomsday... He floated in the green, glowing, plasmalike fluid in the cell like the victim of a genetic experiment, apparently waiting for something to happen... "Yes, power..." the virus continued. "I feel it. Let it dwell within me forever... yes, power--infinite power!!!" ???: Well, do not fret--the experiment's going well, very well. Doomsday: How much longer until the upgrade's done? My patience grows thin. ???: In order for it to achieve full potential... three days. Doomsday: ?! You're crazy! Can't we speed up the process? ???: Not unless you want a 30% chance of dissolving, and an additional 50% of growing weak. Doomsday: Fine, I shall develop more patience. *tries to fall asleep* ???: I can assist you with that... A man on a computer in the real world typed something quickly. The computer screen did not show the usual E-Connect screen; it showed a picture of Doomsday and a page full of codes and computer language. Seemingly meaningless characters formed across the page, and with one hit of the Enter button, it all faded. Meanwhile, back in Doomsday's cell, the plasma inside turned purple, and Doomsday slowly fell asleep... * * * * * Back in the forest, Sylver stood in front of the group of other Virus Busters. He was about to attack them, thinking they were viruses, but Lance told him that they were represented by yellow dots, meaning that they were Virus Busters as well. Sylver shrugged and walked towards the group. Ridge smiled and walked towards him. Imi stood there, apparently having a little chat with Satoshi. Pendrila rolled his eyes and looked to his left, away from the group. Kaida: Another one joined the group, huh? Pendrila: ... Kaida: (Is this like one of those chat sites for social people?) "Oh, hello, I guess..." Pendrila muttered to Sylver in a bored tone. "I'm Pendrila by the way, and this is Ridge and Imi and Jacobian..." "The Jacobian," The Jacobian corrected. "Hello," said a calm female voice next to the group. "And how are you? I'm Natura!" What looked like a glowing white elf ghost floated towards the group. "I'm a wandering civilian of the Internet with no owner, but I assure you, I'm no virus." Kaida, Lance, Jake, Satoshi, and Aida all checked their maps simultaneously. In the forest, there was a mass of yellow dots and a blue dot, with a red dot right next to them. All five people looked on with confused looks on their faces.

OOC: Hmmm... Asunan and Mereduin can't fly, and Mereduin prefers to hurl fireballs and flames at her opponents... but oh well. IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone else answered with a satisfied "yes"--they were somewhat tired after the battle. Toshi then sensed that someone was missing from the group... He looked around and muttered some sort of roll call... "Veil, Symoni, Arunue, Gaitei, Yeix, Rayne, Kieko, Cel... huh? Where's Celestia? And... Where did Asunan go? Mereduin's gone too!" "What do you mean?" Mereduin giggled, standing behind Toshi. "I'm here!" "But where's your sister?" "Ummmm..." Mereduin looked around to see that neither Celestia nor Asunan were with the group. They had somehow disappeared. "Eh, I bet they found some place to eat before us," Gaitei assumed. The rest of the group shrugged and walked on. Meanwhile... Celestia had been in some sort of trance for the last five minutes. She woke up only to find herself on a plain near a forest. To her left lay a small cottage which she immediately recognized. "My house!" she realized. "But how... how did I get here? I... remember that I went to the world where Toshi and the others were when I walked along in the forest, and I last remember walking through the forest in that world... Yeah, I was fighting a harpy and disappeared... What is it with forests?" As she was contemplating this, she gave a groan of embarrassment. She looked down at the ground as she sensed her mother coming straight for her. "Celestia, you're back!!" she cried, hugging Celestia when she approached her. "I thought I would never see you again... you've changed, really... I never thought..." But she was interrupted by Celestia losing her temper and flinging her mother to the side with her telekinetic powers. "Sorry, Mom, I have business to take care of and must go. I'll see you later." "But Celestia, it's dangerous out..." "I KNOW!!! But it's no big deal! I could kill you with my powers if I had the chance. How do you think enemies would feel about that? Goodbye, and I hope not to return here until I get finished in that other world!" Celestia shouted in a rush. Before her mother could ask, "Where's Mereduin?", Celestia flew off towards the forest and landed when she got there. She began to walk into the depths of the woods and closed her eyes, letting her intuition guide her. Now, let me think... she thought. Right before I went to the other world, I was... darn... no, I... wait, I sensed someone's presence at that time... not a person, a... harpy? The same one I fought before I came back here? Weird... Then, something far away got her attention, and she flew right over the forest in this "other world"... Meanwhile... Asunan arrived in a deserted island where there was a town in ruins. This Asunan immediately recognized as Krii--she and the group had gone there before on one of their quests. She started to walk into Krii and noticed a small tunnel which Asunan recognized even more. She thought back to a time when her group--the Star Knights--had dug a hideout there as one of their many homes. She then climbed in, chanting a secret password that allowed her entry into a little cave. Inside, she saw a girl dressed in all black, looking at what looked like an altar at the edge of the room. Asunan took a few steps forward and recognized the girl--her name was Katea, one of the girls who was recognized as the leader of the group. Kates spun around, her eyes widening when she saw Asunan. "Asunan, is that you? It can't be..." Katea muttered, sounding surprised. "How did I get here? Did you summon me here with your powers of darkness?" "No, I..." she said in a scared tone. But before she could finish the sentence, explosions occurred everywhere. "Lemaria!" Asunan exclaimed. "It's gone mad!!!" "Lemaria... what..." Katea started. The two girls climbed out of the cave to find out that the whole town was disappearing bit by bit. Homes were destroyed, and people vanished without a trace. "No, this could be us too!" Asunan panicked. Next to her, Katea chanted some sort of spell that formed a dark shield around her. Asunan did the same thing, hoping she could make the shield for two people at a time... Both girls closed their eyes, but Katea was heard screaming. She had perhaps broken her concentration and vanished with the rest. After the whole island vanished, Asunan heard a tiny voice that said, "Keep up the spirit of the Star Knights... I was wrong to turn you down as the leader..." Asunan then dropped her shield and then took on a soothing glow... For a moment, she glimpsed Riv, but then she drew her attention back to herself. She was enclosed with a swirl of runes and fog, and certain incantations could be heard only by her, coming from the fog. Asunan closed her eyes and waited, and before long, she emerged from the glow and fell towards the sea. But some involuntary force within her created some sort of canoelike boat that caught her before she fell into the water. Riv watched all this and shrugged, then sighed. He looked at Lemaria in his hand, amazed yet sad that he accidentally destroyed his home. OOC: Ah, yes, this is the chapter of disappearing people... four so far...

Kaida clicked on the map and noticed another red dot somewhere else in the forest. A yellow dot was heading towards it. However, the thing that realy caught Kaida's attention was a yellow dot right next to Pendrila's blue dot. Pendrila: Look, it's Katana Boy. Kaida: Heh, very funny. Pendrila saw Ridge coming and pretended not to notice him. Ridge had his katana out, ready to strike at any motion... Suddenly, he got a confused expression and looked at Pendrila again, this time putting his katana away. "My creator saw you as a Virus Buster..." Ridge said to the flower. "Whatever..." Pendrila muttered, turning away. He didn't feel like making friends. He just floated up slightly until he became more visible in the moonlight. He stood still, looking up and not making a sound. "Talking flowers are weird..." Ridge muttered. Meanwhile, Kaida watched the two Virus Busters meet with boredom. He then noticed that the loud music from the room next to his started again. Kaida jumped up, immediately flying off the handle. "That's it..." he muttered. He looked at his clock and saw that it was about two in the morning. Kaida: I'm going somewhere for about a minute or so... That other Virus Buster can keep you company if you want. Pendrila: I guess... On the computer, Pendrila floated back down towards Ridge and faced him. There was a long silence. Meanwhile, Kaida stomped towards the door and threw it open, walking over to the next apartment room to his left and banging on the door. There was no answer for about a minute. Kaida became furious and tried again. "I'll break your door down if I have to!!" Kaida almost shouted. His fist became red from banging against the door. About two minutes later, the door opened, the music still blaring. It became even louder when the door opened. In the doorway stood a man wearing pajamas and looking sleepy. "Dude, how can you sleep with that loud music of yours? I like this song, but..." Kaida stopped only to find that the man apparently did not hear him. "I told you," Kaida shouted at the top of his lungs, "to TURN THAT MUSIC OFF!!!" He then pointed to a large stereo inside the man's apartment room, then pointed his thumb down, giving the man an angry look. Seconds passed, and then the man punched Kaida in the chest. "Forget it, stupid," Kaida teased as he walked back to his apartment room, muttering something that was meant to be a curse. He walked inside, slammed the door, and went back to the computer. Kaida: Sorry, Pendrila; some jerk is blaring his music so that everyone can hear... Pendrila: Put a curse on him. Kaida: That's what I just did! Kaida shrugged and rummaged through the drawer beneath his computer desk. He eventually found some earplugs and put them in his ears. "Now I can hopefully concentrate..." Kaida thought. Pendrila: This is Ridge. He's quite funny in a way. Kaida: I thought I set your social ability to zero... Pendrila: LOL

OOC: Uhhh... Box? In my last post, Ios was knocked out, so the part where Ios appears in your post is unclear... could you edit that please? IC: While the beams of dark energy hit the flying ground, Celestia grabbed Asunan and flew up, away from the scene. After that, she used her powers to lift Gaitei, Symoni, Mereduin, and Yeix onto a piece of flying ground that appeared stable. To their left, Rayne and Kieko were on another rock, Rayne holding Kieko's hand to prevent her from falling off. "Drat!" Celestia stammered. "I can't believe I have to do all these things at once..." With that, she found a small rock behind her and dropped off Asunan on it. Then, she flew back out and noticed that the rock that Rayne and Kieko were on began to crumble. Celestia used her powers to stabilize the rock and hold it together. "I can't believe it! Uni and Ios are supposedly dead, but why is this land still floating?" Celestia uttered. "Maybe..." Asunan started to say, "...maybe Uni and Ios aren't..." "Don't... say... that..." Celestia said slowly to keep her concentration on the rock. She eventually gave up and carried Rayne and Kieko to the ground safely. Just before Rayne and Kieko landed on the ground, the ground stopped shaking, and the flying rocks and land pieces fell back to the ground. "If you--or anyone--thinks Uni and Ios are still alive," Celestia continued, sighing with relief and landing on the ground next to Asunan, "they will still be alive. Just remember what I said earlier. We must do the same for Hawk while fighting him." "But..." Asunan blurted. Celestia began to silence her, but then she stopped, realizing that Asunan was not about to protest. "...Hawk's gone..." Asunan continued. "Where is he?" Celestia asked, sounding confused. "For the first time, I don't know..." Asunan answered. "You don't know?!" Celestia exclaimed. "Well gee, neither do I... But we should know... why... something is not right here... you don't suppose we... no, it can't be..." "Is something wrong?" Mereduin asked, arriving on the scene with Gaitei, Symoni, and Yeix right next to her. "Where are Toshi, Riv, and Arunue?" Kieko asked, also arriving with the rest of the group with Rayne at her side. "I saw Riv flying across the ocean," Yeix answered, "but Toshi and Arunue seem to have disappeared..." "It must have been the orb fired by Uni and Ios," Gaitei added. "Celestia..." Symoni wondered, changing the subject. "I thought you said that Ios could be destroyed if we believed that he could... But he came back, didn't he?" "Yes," Celestia answered with a hint of annoyance, "but Riv... I mean Lemaria... destroyed him and his brother just a few minutes ago. Now they are gone, and we must not ever think about the possibility of the two coming back." "But what do we do now?" Gaitei asked. Just then, Veil came running to the group, looking worried. "Hey you guys," she said, slightly out of breath, "Riv just thought that Lemaria defeated Uni and Ios--not him. And he went home as well. I don't think..." "Yes, yes, we know," Kieko interrupted. "We were just talking about that." "What do we do?" Veil panicked. "Now might be a good time to find Hawk..." Asunan suggested. "How can we when we don't know where he is?" Celestia blurted. "You don't know where he is?" Mereduin interjected, sounding alarmed. "What do you mean you don't know where he is?" "Exactly that," Celestia continued. "Mereduin, it's probably the same reason I didn't know where you were when Maridra held you captive. She created some sort of barrier that blocked my telepathic calls to you... I bet Hawk is doing something similar to that." "So he's hiding and being chicken?" Mereduin blurted, still in a panic. At this, Celestia and Asunan laughed. Mereduin gave them dirty looks. "Why would Hawk be scared of us?" Yeix wondered. "It's just impossible!" "Of course," Gaitei added. "After all, he wants to destroy everything in existence and will not stop till he does, right?" "The first part's certainly right," Veil answered, "but I'm not sure what Hawk could be up to now, but you're right. It's very unlikely for him to be taking a break or something. "I wonder..." Celestia muttered. "I wonder... if he's trying to revive his sons?" "That sounds more likely," Symoni agreed. "Or," Asunan addded, "he could be gathering recruits like good old Helios..." "I think all of them are dead," Mereduin hypothesized. "Unless he can revive them," Gaitei suggested. "I doubt he's doing anything else," Rayne concluded, "so that must be it. In that case, we must find Hawk before he brings anyone back to help him." "Hey wait," Kieko added at the last minute, "maybe Hawk just fled the scene to attack some other part of the universe." "That could be," Celestia said with uncertainty, "but think about it--Hawk hasn't even tried to attack any other place than here so far. Besides, this is where is greatest foes are--they all gathered in one place. Arunue, Toshi, Riv, everybody here as well. Maybe what we should do is find Arunue, Toshi, and Riv. At least I know where they are." "Really?" Veil asked. "Where?" "Well," Asunan answered, "Riv went home, as you all know. Arunue is in Yggradisil, a place I can't describe too well... Toshi, well, is supposedly in another dimension, in a world of darkness..." "Wait, Toshi?" Celestia clarified. "No, Asunan, you have it partially wrong. Toshi has somehow reappeared..." and with this, Celestia hesitated and closed her eyes, "...on the same planet that I was before I came here... except in another part, maybe the core or something..." "Then he's fine, isn't he?" Rayne asked. "Celestia, didn't you tell me once that you were on this... planet... and found a wormhole that led you here?" Celestia nodded. "Well, in that case," he continued, "he should be fine--all he has to do is..." "I know what you're thinking," Celestia interrupted. At this, Mereduin rolled her eyes. "I don't think it will work out that way for him," Celestia continued. "Toshi is in a place where he can't get to the wormhole very easily. Besides, and I hate to tell you this, the wormhole has shrunk and it's too small for him to pass through..." "Does that mean..." Veil said, starting to worry. "But he'll be OK, I know it," Kieko reassured. "I believe it." She turned and winked at Celestia, then continued, "They'll all come back just fine." At this, Asunan started to protest, but then she stopped, realizing that people, for the most part, are obliged to do things themselves. "All right," Yeix announced, "why don't we stop the chit-chat and find Hawk?" At ths, everyone began to agree, though some people had to think about it for a few seconds... OOC: Whew, that was a weird post... mostly dialogue...

OOC: Very well done, you two! *kisses the RPG* Ooooops... :D IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Pendrila floated into the forest, he could hear an owl hooting somewhere off to his left. Meanwhile, Kaida watched with boredom--he had just spent the last fifteen minutes watching his Virus Buster wander aimlessly through the forest without finding anything, not even more cookie creatures. He began to fiddle around with the toolbar on the bottom of the screen. One button he clicked on displayed Pendrila's stats, just like the screem he got at the beginning, after he created him. Another one displayed Pendrila's abilties and attacks; this he looked at and began to memorize for future reference, in case any viruses appeared... "Hypno Wave, Chloro Blast, Chloro Orb, Nightmare Shot, Dream Control..." he read out loud just for the heck of it. Kaida: Hey Pendrila, do you like the attacks I gave you? Pendrila: Heh, hypnotic powers and leaf blasts? You bet! Kaida clicked another button on the toolbar and found a map that pinpointed the viruses' locations, which were highlighted by flashing red splotches. A blue splotch indicated Pendrila's position. Yellow dots indicated fellow Virus Busters. To his amazement and surprise, Kaida found a yellow spot at the far end of the forest, and a large red glob between it and Pendrila's position. Hmmm... I know what this means... he thought. We'll meet an enemy and then an ally... interesting, very interesting... Pendrila: I sense that that owl over there is a virus! Kaida: !!! Well, prepare for battle! Out of nowhere, a large blue owl swooped down and landed on Pendrila's head. Pendrila swatted the owl with his fanlike arms, spinning around to make the owl dizzy. While he was doing that, his petals gathered light from the moon above, which shone through the trees like a flashlight. Kaida: Initiate attack: Chloro Blast! Kaida then clicked a button on the left-hand side of the screen that read "Attack!" then typed in the seven-digit code for the attack and hit Enter. Pendrila's petals glowed with a bright green aura, and Pendrila expelled light energy from them, pulling the owl off his face and flinging it against the tree. The owl's eyes then turned red and fiery, glaring at Pendrila and attempting to intimidate him. Kaida: *laughs* Is that the best he can do? He's not a very good hypnotist... Pendrila nodded and stared back at the owl. His petals glowed slightly and spun around slowly, like a pinwheel. The owl gazed on, entranced, its eyes losing their fiery glare. Then their lids lowered, putting the owl into a slumber... Pendrila: Ahahahaha! Too easy. Kaida: Heh. You tell me. Let's see, what shall we do with what he has for a mind... Pendrila: Ooooh, sounds fun!! Pendrila hovered close to the owl and put his fanlike hand on the owl's head and closed his eyes. Kaida: Heh, now initiate attack: Nightmare Shot! *click* The owl sprang up and jerked around like it was having a seizure. Pendrila backed away and laughed at the virus's demise. Meanwhile, Kaida noticed that at the top of the screen was a red meter and a blue meter; both looked like sideways thermometers. The blue meter was nearly full while the red meter slowly emptied. Kaida recognized the meters as Pendrila's and the owl's hit points, and he laughed menacingly at the fact that the owllike virus was getting creamed. The red meter was then fully depleted, and on the screen, the owl exploded. A data stream shot up from where the owl was and dove back down, hitting Pendrila. After a flash of light covered the screen, the scene reappeared. A popup came up that said, "Virus defeated. Pendrila gained 500 experience points." Kaida then clicked on the map, and it showed that the virus had vanished. However, some other Virus Buster was heading straight for Pendrila... Kaida: I think you got company... Pendrila: What? I hope he doesn't think I'm a virus...

Within less than a minute, the cloud of dust finally cleared. Ios lay on his back--he had three arrows stuck in his chest, and a magic thread was wrapped around his arms so that he couldn't move them. The rest of his body was covered in burns. Celestia, Asunan, and Symoni each gave high-fives to each other and looked at Ios with smiles of determination and pride on their faces. Kieko, Gaitei, Yeix, and Veil breathed sighs of relief and were prepared to attack in case Ios recovered. Ios struggled on the ground, shouting, "You'll pay for this! You'll be at the mercy of me, my brother, and my father, most importantly--very soon!" And with that, he started to get up, only to face four attacks coming at him from all sides, hitting him like a quartet of burning arrows, piercing him in his head, especially his eyes and ears in order to disable him from seeing or hearing anything. At this, everyone who had been fighting him cheered. "Well," said Kieko, "that's one down, and two to go. We still have to worry about Hawk, you know..." she added darkly. "Hee hee! That rhymes!" giggled a voice behind the group. All seven of them turned around to find Mereduin standing there, holding up a little flame and throwing it at Ios, to make sure that he would remain knocked out and hopefully dead, if he could be dead. "Mereduin, you made it!" Celestia cried. "Oh, I knew you would. I just knew it!" "Of course you knew it," Mereduin joked. "You're psychic, right?" At this, Celestia blushed and hugged Mereduin tightly. Asunan knelt down next to them and smiled. "Hey everybody!" Celestia announced to the group, letting go of her sister. "This is Mereduin, my little sister! She's the one Maridra's held captive, but Maridra's gone now... She can help us fight Uni and Hawk, now that Ios is down... I hope." "It's strange..." Asunan wondered. "Celestia, don't you get a feeling that Ios can't be destroyed? I mean..." "No, no, and no," Celestia cut off. "He'll only survive if we believe he will. He'll be gone forever if we believe it to be so. Clear your troubled mind, my friend, and look on the bright side!" At this Asunan blushed and shook her head vigorously, trying not to think about Ios. The others laughed. Meanwhile, Toshi, Riv, and Arunue continued their battle with Uni. All three had cornered Uni. Uni stood in alarm with two swords and a dagger pointing at him. Riv held his sword a little higher so Uni could not escape by leaping up. Uni soon smiled. "Heh, you three think you can defeat me by surrounding me and standing still?" And with that, he lashed his arms out at Arunue and Toshi, who happened to be in front of him. At the same time, Riv swung his sword down upon Uni as if he was an executionist trying to cut someone's head off. (He would have been obliged if it were Uni's head!) The blade made impact on Uni's head, knocking him down until he lay on his stomach. Riv, Arunue, and Toshi all pointed their weapons at Uni, barely touching his back with them. They wondered if this would be the end for him...

OOC: OK, first, you must post your beginning post, just to signify where your Virus Buster is, and what you are doing at that point in the RPG. Now, let's go and stop the Independent Killer viruses! IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kaida sat alone in his apartment room, at his computer like he has been in the past few days. He had just finished creating his Virus buster for the E-Connect "game". He started to enter his first online chat with his Virus Buster! Kaida: Um... hi? Are you really real? Pendrila: Why are you asking that, of course I'm real! Kaida: (Wow, this is a miracle...) Pendrila: What, you never met an online creature like me before? Are we going to start this adventure or not? I'm thirsty for virus blood... Kaida: (If there is such a thing. I want some too.) Let's go! Kaida scrolled down the page, and he found a large red button that said "Start!" The computer beeped, and then a screen listed Pendrila's stats and abilities. It indicated that Pendrila was physically fragile yet mentally strong, and that he shouldn't be exposed to too much sunlight. Kaida: Tch! Is there even "sunlight" in a computer? Pendrila: There is if you go to a website about the tropics or the sun! Kaida shrugged, not being able to believe that the computer world seemed just as real as the real world. He clicked a button that said "Confirm?", and the computer went through a series of nonsense images and then took him to a screen that looked like a little world in a video game, a CGI version of the real world. Kaida saw Pendrila on a beach at night, not far from what looked like a forest. It was quite quiet, except for the rustling and lapping of the waves. Kaida, strangely, couldn't hear the waves; only Pendrila could because he was inside the computer and Kaida wasn't. Pendrila looked around, hovering in the air for transportation. He looked towards the virtual forest and found dozens of little blue blobs with different kinds of cookies on their heads. Kaida: What is this? Cookies on a beach?! Pendrila: Just like the bits of data you humans call "cookies" on the computer! Kaida shook his head and watched Pendrila wander around, ignoring the cookie creatures. He sighed and lay back on his chair, almost bored already. However, he was startled by someone (possibly in the next apartment room) turning on some very loud music that could be heard for miles. Kaida became angered, stood up, banged his fist on the wall several times while cursing under his breath, and then sat back down, trying to focus on the computer screen. Within minutes, the noise stopped. The cookie creatures became sad because Pendrila avoided them without taking the cookies from their heads and eating them--that was what they wanted. They chitered somberly and bounced back toward the ocean, where they watched the virtual full moon above. Pendrila, meanwhile, floated into the increasingly dark and quiet forest.

OOC: Dum dee dum dum... It's the age of philosoply here! IC: Mereduin continued to watch the crystal ball. In it, she saw the whole fight, escecially the one with Hawk. She also saw Rimnil being destroyed and wished she could do the same to the raven that was preventing her from escaping the desolate room she was enclosed in for what seemed like forever. She started to think about her previous adventures with the rest of the group, when they were on their previous quest to defeat Morak and his army. She then thought further back, to the time she first left home on her journey to find her sister, who had wandered off without warning. All this made her cry. She then thought about a certain time when Helios appeared. All she could remember was that some sort of portal opened in the cave, and a magnetic force pulled her into it like a black hole, while Celestia and Asunan were focusing on the fight. I was brought here because I chose not to fight, Mereduin thought. It's because I was a chicken and wanted to sneak away from the battle, and I was brought into this room of darkness and loneliness, away from my friends, away from my family... away from... Mereduin stopped abruptly when she realized that Celestia and Asunan could tell what she was thinking at every moment. She blushed and put her hand over her mouth. "I know what's wrong..." Celestia said in a soothing tone to her, kneeling down next to her little sister and trying to comfort her in every way possible. Asunan had heard Meredion's thoughts as well, but she decided to be the guard dog, in case the raven threatened to attack. "You made a mistake," Celestia realized. "You're putting yourself down because of one simple mistake. You can't predict the future, so you didn't know that you would be brought here... to tell you the truth, neither did I... A psychic's powers are limited to fate--occurences of fate can't be stopped, no matter what. Fate brought you here to learn the hard way. I had a strange feeling that something bad would happen to you ever since we started out on our journey... It was fated as well for me to wander off into the night like that, and for you to come running after me. To tell you the truth, that was very brave of you..." "You're making a mistake," Mereduin interjected. "I'm not..." "Don't say that!" Celestia cut off. "I think you're brave to not fight, to face your fate and follow it as well, and, most importantly, to follow me because you were worried. That's what a true friend would do. It was fated as well to tell you all this, so now you must emerge from the darkness and into the light, and face your worries and your problems as well! Transform from a cowardly chicken into a bold one! Get in there and fight, for once!" At this Mereduin started to think quite deeply. "Heh, shouldn't have said that last part," Celestia muttered to herself as she started to walk out of the room back to where the battle with Hawk raged on. Mereduin didn't even see her go, but Asunan noticed... "Hey, Celestia! Don't go! We still have a fight with Ma... I mean..." she said in a panicked tone, casting a worried look at Mereduin, "...the raven... to finish! In fact, we haven't even started it!" "We?" Celestia questioned, stopping at the door and facing Asunan. "There's no 'we' now." She looked at Mereduin, who was still thinking about what she said. I feel that Mereduin can face this enemy on her own, she continued telepathically. It's her problem, not ours. After what I taught her about fate and confronting her problems, she should make it out alive. Now, we must pass on the wisdom to Hawk, who needs it desperately after what I heard him say to Riv... Yes, he's Riv again ever since he got Lemaria back... Yes, there is pain with existence, but there's also wonders of which Hawk apparently doesn't know about. Let's go, my friend, and let what Hawk calls 'bad' fall in their own despair! After this conversation, Asunan nodded and ran after Celestia, and both of them exited the room only to find themselves floating about seven miles off the ground. Asunan looked at Celestia, who grabbed her by the hand and floated back town toward the ground below, towards the forest which partially lay in ashes, to the place where the duel with Hawk was brewing... Meanwhile, Mereduin was through contemplating and stood up, not caring of she was alone again, for she knew now that she soon wouldn't be. The raven stood before her, staring at her with a calm yet sinister gaze. Suddenly, the raven spoke... "Mereduin, I overheard Celestia and Asunan's telepathic conversation. They're abandoning you to fight Hawk! They left you all alone again, in the dark, and worse, with me as your companion! Now, isn't that nice?" the raven cackled. "You led me here because you thought you could take advantage of my weakness," Mereduin retaliated. "You thought you could subject me to a life of eternal sadness and loneliness, but you were off my a mile. Something inside me knew that my friends would come back for me, and they did, so there. If I had known better, I'd have suggested that you stay in this room to protect me from escaping and anyone else from entering. It was so stupid of you to exit to participate in others' affairs, because the minute you try to juggle too many big things at once, you have a better chance of dropping all of them and having to start from scratch. You'd have to live with the guilt of failing." "The reason I meddled with the lives of your 'friends' is so that I could deliver a signal to Rimnil and tell him to reassemble his army to destroy them. And, my plan succeeded," the raven replied. "But someone could have found out about that, you know," Mereduin added, keeping Celestia and Asunan in mind. "Exactly part of my plan," the raven continued. "While Celestia waddled in deep depression, Asunan heard about the message and came running to me. Eventually, we had a long battle, and Celestia found out when she rejoined the group, so she came looking for her friend. But, that led me out and to my chance to battle the group! Of course, I was seemingly destroyed, but I was specially resurrected by Rimnil's army as a little thank-you for my little command. You thought that that was your chance to escape, but I blocked you, didn't I?" At this, a realization came to Mereduin. "Celestia's right," Mereduin realized. "Fate leads us through everyone's lives, and we cannot stop that, so our only choice is to believe that it will lead us to the ultimate good. I have learned to confront my problems now, and at this moment, my problem is you, Maridra." The raven became wide-eyed and stepped back, then flew off the shelf, slanted up, and became shrouded in a dark, swirling fog. Within seconds, Maridra appeared, glaring at Mereduin and smiling. She then closed her eyes and vanished, leaving Mereduin confused. Maridra reappeared behind Mereduin and had fired a beam that looked similar to Arunue's tattoo, shooting Mereduin in the back with a pain that seared like fire. Mereduin winced and fell to the ground. Quite luckily, she landed right next to her basket, reaching into it and rummaging around for something useful. Suddenly, she found what looked like a mirror and took it out, holding it up and inspecting it. On the back was a starlike shape and a faded ring. Mereduin looked at this for a moment, then put on a sinister smirk. She turned around to face Maridra, hiding the mirror in her cape. Maridra, meanwhile, was forming a nearly invisible orb in her hands and chanting a spell over it, though Mereduin had no clue what it was... All of a sudden, the orb flew at Mereduin, transforming into what looked like a spear. Mereduin at first just stood there, but when the spear was about a foot away from her, she took out the mirror and flung it out in front of where the spear was about to hit. The spear was absorbed in the mirror without any damage at all. Mereduin leapt backward, falling to her knees. At this, Maridra laughed. "Yes, a life-draining spell. Quite complicated and hard to perform, but I saved this one especially for you, and it looks like you got hit, so bye-bye! Wow, that was fairly easy..." Maridra looked over to her crystal ball and saw Celestia and Asunan floating down towards the forest where Hawk held his battle. But while she was looking... "Think fast!" Mereduin shouted as she held out the mirror and pointed it at Maridra. The spear that was meant for Mereduin shot out of it, heading straight for Maridra. Maridra was taken by surprise and tried to leap out of the way, but she didn't have enough time to react, and the spear hit her in the shoulder, draining her of all her powers and making her weaker by the second, until she was unable to move or breathe, until she just lay there without a bit of life in her. "Yeah!" Mereduin cheered as she rushed towards her basket and put the mirror back in it, keeping it in case she needed it later. She then ran out the door to the outside world, and, quite magically, instead of having to drop down seven miles, she found herself on a beach near the hills. A broad smile spread across her face, and she began to look around, happy to finally see be out of that dark room again. Now, her only worry was Hawk, whom she only knew very little about, that he was the father of Uni and Ios...

OOC: *hits herself on the head* Darn, my last few posts leave something to be considered... Oh well, I'll post this because I don't know what else to post... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The dark purple raven that spread flames over the forest was flying away from the battlefield, almost determined to face its opponents in private. Looking back briefly, it glimpsed Celestia flying towards it, carrying Asunan with her. After a few seconds passed, Celestia flew closer and managed to grab onto the bird's foot. One of its claws was bright red, and embers fell from it to the forest below. But within moments, the giant bird was soaring over the hills and the beach where Veil once sat, eventually crossing the ocean. "Come on, Asunan," Celestia suggested. "Let's climb on top of her and await the..." But she was interrupted by an abrupt move from the bird: it stopped mid-air, tilted upward about ninety degrees, and shot straight up into the air, perpendicular to the sea below. "Normally," Asunan realized, "birds stall when they fly up into the air like this..." "But this is no ordinary bird..." Celestia began to say, but at that moment, the two girls were dropped. Celestia flew out and caught Asunan, then spun around to find some sort of wormhole in the bird's place. "That wormhole must lead to where the bird is," Asunan assumed. "Yes," Celestia agreed, "and I know who that bird is..." "Me too," Asunan added. There was a long pause. "Well, what are you waiting for?" Asunan blurted imaptiently. "Ent..." But before she could say anything else, Celestia flew into the portal, taking Asunan with her. The two girls found themselves in a small, dark room. In the center stood a table with a crystal ball on it. The ball showed Arunue fighting Hawk--she was grabbed by Hawk and fired a tattoo beam at his face... "Um... hello?" said a voice in the corner. "...You can come closer; I'm very lonely and scared..." At this, Celestia and Asunan looked at each other and smiled quite broadly. Then they jumped up and down in excitement and ran towards the little girl in the dark corner of the room, whom the other two immediately recognized... "Mereduin!" Celestia cried, hugging her little sister tightly. "You haven't changed a bit! I kept wondering whether... what?" Asunan tapped Celestia's shoulder and pointed to the other end of the room. Perched on a low shelf was the purple raven, this time the size of a normal bird. Celestia and Asunan stood together, staring at the bird, slowly getting their weapons out... Mereduin stepped back, turning to the crystal ball again. She saw Toshi and Rayne battling Shakia this time. The forest around them was engulfed in flame. At this, she merely thought, Someone must have stolen my powers... But then she shrugged, shook her head, realizing that what she had just thought was not true. She turned back to the raven and flinched, slightly intimidated by it...

Wow, cool characters, everyone! Everyone's accepted! Just a few more and we can start! Oh, BTW, when I started this thread, I forgot to include the attachment for my Virus Buster... I edited that, and now it's there... that's the second time I forgot things like that... Oh, and Jacobian, the link to the picture of your Virus Buster shows a 404 Error, so please find some other way to post the picture or replace it with a description...

I (sort of) got this idea from Spy Kids 3 and Megaman... It's a computer-based RPG with different levels, but I'll explain further in the story... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Zaniac, who was always considered a mad scientist and a computer freak, worked at his computer and lab for at least sixteen hours a day, determined to invent something that could make him millions of dollars. Many of his projects, which included a dream interpreter, a flying scooter, and a device that can teleport people to certain places, all failed and resulted in worthless chemical waste that took up landfill space... Still, he would not give up trying to create a masterpiece... Finally, the day came when he finally created something he thought was worthwile--it was sort of a game, where users could create creatures that were like internet warriors and defeat bad guys on the internet, especially the new viruses that kept breaking out in computers all over the planet. These viruses and worms could break through any firewall and anti-virus system and instantly shut down any computer they chose, permanently deleting its information and preventing it from working anymore... These viruses were called the "Independent Killers", because they seemed to have minds of their own and even some form of artificial intelligence, like aliens from a foreign planet that tried to destroy the earthlings. Unfortunately, the creator of these viruses was completely unknown, so the police couldn't arrest him/her... Anyways, Dr. Zaniac called his internet creatures "Virus Busters" and specially programmed them to obey their creator and have certain weapons and powers that they would use to fight these viruses, which also resembled creatures. The users could talk to the creatures and other users by instant messaging. To test his program out, Dr. Zaniac e-mailed a small group of potential people from all over the planet that could help protect the world from the Independent Killers. His message was: "Dear (name), Congratulations! You have been specially chosen to test out my new program called E-Connect. It is a program where you create your own internet creature, sort of like having a virtual pet. But, these creatures, called the Virus Busters, are designed to stop the Independent Killers, dangerous viruses that roam the internet nowadays. If you accept, click here to start your journey; I will guide you through the next few steps but after that you are on your own... Good luck, Dr. Zaniac" Can the users of E-Connect stop the Independent Killersand find out who created them? Can they stay on the computer enough to participate (not get distracted by the events ofthe real world)? The internet will soon find out... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OK, here's the signup: User: Name: Age: Gender: Appearance: Picture or description is fine. Personality: Bio: You can also include experiences with the Independent Killers if applicable... That would make it more interesting. The bio doesn't have to be that long--five or six sentences is OK. Virus Buster: Name: Gender: This is optional... your creature can be an "it" Appearance: Doesn't have to be human... it can look like an animal, monster, robot... whatever you want. Again, picture or description is fine. Personality: Doesn't have to match the user's personality... Weapons: 0-3 please Abilities: Don't make your creature all-powerful in this area... Note: You can make your posts more interesting by posting what happens outside the computer occasionally... just make sure every post has at least part of it take place inside the computer... Another Note: For instant-message conversations between users and Virus Busters, you may post the conversations in script format, as if you were actually IM-ing someone. However, anything else must be in paragraphs and follow the standard rules of the Adventure Arena... Example: Joe: I think you should fight him! Claws: I think so too. Joe: *thinks a moment* Ummm, do you have any info on the enemy? Claws: No... :( As Claws was thinking, the monster attacked with a laser beam, knocking Claws unconscious. Claws couldn't move. Joe panicked when this happened... And so on... Here's my signup, for reference if you need it... (This is one of the rare times that I play a male character...) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ User: Name: Kaida Serenna Age: 25 Gender: Male Appearance: Kaida's about six feet tall and has fairly long, spiky, blond hair with silver and blue streaks as well as pale blue eyes. He wears a white T-shirt with a long, sky blue, suede jacket with buttons on the sleeves, black jeans, and brown leather shoes. Personality: He can stay on the computer for hours and often forgets to eat and sleep. Other than that, Kaida is very antisocial and loves online RPGs with sparring. He's also vengeful and sadistic, and he'll never run away from a fight or challenge. Bio: Kaida first learned to use a computer when he was six, and ever since, he became obsessed with computers. He was happy with that until he turned 20, when that fateful day happened... One day, when he was playing a game on the internet, the computer suddenly froze, and it later shut down. Kaida tried to turn it back on, but it wouldn't operate... He completely freaked out. While he was buying a new computer, he read about the new seemingly indestructible viruses that were spreading throughout the world. However, nobody had a clue who created these viruses... Five years later, he got an unexpected email from Dr. Zaniac asking him to participate in E-Connect... He had a hard time choosing and creating his Virus Buster, though... Virus Buster: Name: Pendrila Gender: Male Appearance: see attachment (Yes, it is weird that he's a flower...) He appears to be about 4 feet tall... Personality: Like Kaida, Pendrila is sadistic and cold-hearted. He loves to toy with his opponents, but he doesn't go looking for trouble like Kaida does. He sometimes acts like a know-it-all; he seems to be fairly intelligent for a flower. Unlike most flowers, he hates bright light/sunlight... Weapons: none Abilities: Can control his foe's mind through hypnosis, and he can also generate energy beams through the chloroplasts in his petals and waves of psychic energy. Can hover in the air as well. Well, that's my signup; it's your turn to post yours! Let's make this a fun RPG!

OOC: Oooh, I love it when the climax of an RPG comes! Now, let me see... Oh! Hope what happens in this post is OK; I'm not quite sure... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shakia smiled more broadly with each passing second. Everyone seemed to boil over with either excitement or panic. Shakia raised his wing, its black feathers absorbing all light that encountered it, like a black hole. Above, the sky turned darker, darker than any night, blocking out the moon and the stars, red clouds forming there and taking on halos that came from the lights they blocked. All of a sudden, it looked like it was starting to rain... But this was no ordinary rain. The rain was made of a substance similar to gasoline, except with no smell and, more importantly, higher flammability, plus it was dyed blood red and acidic. Some of the group felt an unpleasant tingling sensation when the rain hit their skin. Izzy, at that time, had just arrived; he had seen Toshi running towards the forest and decided to follow, wondering what was happening... "This is it?" Izzy almost laughed. "This is all you can do?" He looked at the rain around him but didn't feel much pain from it. "Be patient, boy," Shakia sneered. "This is only part one of my plan. Even though we have some mind readers in the audience that have already figured that plan out, I assure you it'll be everyone's worst nightmare." While Shakia said that, Celestia and Asunan got an uneasy feeling because Shakia was looking straight at them. "Where's Hawk?" Gaitei wondered, noticing that Hawk was gone. "And where's Arunue?" Hiroshi questioned. "Where's Yeix?" Kieko asked. "It appears," Toshi concluded, "that they have run off to battle privately..." "Precisely," Celestia and Asunan said in unison. "Now," Izzy suggested, "we must focus on Shakia." But as soon as he said this, a large, purple raven flew over the forest. Small embers flew from its wings, and as they hit the ground, the trees in the forest immediately caught on fire, spreading the flames quickly via the flammable rain. "Hey, you guys," Asunan announced, "you take care of Shakia; he's outnumbered five to one... We're going out to take care of another villain that has returned from the dead." And with that, she was grabbed by Celestia, and within seconds, they flew off, following the giant raven's path. "Who..." Toshi muttered. He was confused, wondering why Celestia and Asunan just ran off abruptly in the middle of a fight. The others had taken out whatever weapons they had, and Toshi could hear metal clashing and Shakia laughing. He shrugged, looked down, and found to his amazement that his sword had been repaired and now lay in perfect condition...

OOC: Yeah, I know... But I did warn you earlier with a private message... Just be careful in the future... it happened to me as well... But don't worry; I forgive you. *looks around* Hmmm, where has everyone gone? I last posted here about a week ago...

Kieko, Asunan, and Celestia stared at Rayne for a while. Then they all looked down at Symoni. Then they all shrugged, but Kieko was still a bit in shock. Asunan and Celestia began to walk back to the cave, realizing that Kieko and Rayne needed to be alone to help Symoni. As soon as Celestia and Asunan entered the cave, the first thing they saw was Arunue's sword lying on the ground. At first, they were confused at the fact that Arunue had left it behind, but then a realization came to both of them... "Arunue's in trouble!" they both shouted in unison. Then they looked at each other and wondered what to do. "Asunan," Celestia suggested, "you can tell the others about it, and I'll give Arunue her sword. She's right--she can't fight Hawk alone without a weapon..." Asunan nodded, and she ran from the cave. Celestia picked up Arunue's sword and did the same, except she headed for the forest. Arunue winced and fell to the ground from the force of Hawk's punch. "You're pathetic," Hawk said in a menacing tone. "Those tattoos work differently for my sons than they do for me. True, they destroyed them..." and he said those last few words with slight sorrow, then continued in his original tone, "but they have no effect whatsoever on me. I will succeed in my plan, and part of it is destroying you." And with that, he clenched his fists, exposing his long, clawlike fingernails. He opened his right hand, ready to scratch Arunue. Arunue looked up at him and tried to get out of the way, but she didn't have enough time... Fortunately, when Hawk's nails were about half an inch away from Arunue's face, Hawk's hand was thrown back, followed by his whole body. Arunue was confused for a moment until she looked to her left and saw Celestia standing there, using her powers to prevent Hawk from moving. Celestia looked sideways at Arunue, still careful to keep her concentration on Hawk. She then gently threw the sword back to Arunue, advising her to pick it up and continue the fight. But then, Hawk managed to free himself and scratched Celestia deeply on her right arm. Then, she heard someone coming... Asunan had led Kieko, Gaitei, Hiroshi, and Rayne to the scene. "Celestia, I think you better contact Toshi, Izzy, and Veil--you can reach them faster if you fly..." Asunan suggested, partially out of breath because she was in a slight panic. Celestia winced for a moment, then got up and flew over towards where Toshi and Veil were. Meanwhile, Arunue resumed her fight with Hawk. She held out her sword and attempted to stab Hawk in the chest, but she missed and instead hit his arm because Hawk had turned around to dodge a swing of Rayne's axe. As the others joined the fight, Hawk just smiled more broadly.

Wow, sounds like a cool RPG! Now, to pick a character... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Setsuri Kaine Age: 17 Gender: Female Transport: A giant, glowing blue swan that can run fast, stands 30 feet tall, and has some hypnotic abilities. Her name is Miri. She can't talk, but she can use some form of telepathy for communication... Weapons: An emerald-colored magic staff that can shrink down to the size of a small stick, as well as a golden dagger and a bow with silver arrows. Magic: Most of it comes from either her swan or her staff--thunderbolts and water abilities and stuff... Her swan can use telekinesis and hypnotic abilities and can sometimes change the weather. Personality/appearance: Setsuri is pretty calm and loves animals. She especially loves Miri. However, when in danger, she can get carried away with fighting. She doesn't make friends easily, but she is a good samaritan and will help anyone she feels is in danger. She's 5'4", and she has long, black hair partially dyed blue and deep blue eyes. She wears an elegant, long-sleeved blue and black shirt, a long purplish skirt, deep indigo sandals, and a necklace with a turquoise dragon charm. Bio: Setsuri lived quite far from the king all her life, though her aunt was a close relative of the king. However, she was never rich nor lived in a palace--she lived in a small cave... When Faeleria's beauty was destroyed, Setsuri ran away and fled to the forest, but a group of dragons attacked her and her swan (Miri), making them faint... When Setsuri woke up, she was completely changed all of a sudden... Everything she saw was in shades of blue, and Miri had grown 27 feet, turned blue, and got her magical abilities. After that happened, she returned to her home, where her parents were shocked. Her mother wanted her to fight the fallen king's army and restore the beauty and peace of the land, so she unexpectedly handed her a few weapons and sent her on her way... Whew... I did that signup in a rush due to lack of time, so please excuse any shortness or errors... Hope Setsuri and Miri are in...

I think what he means is that the ghosts have to protect the humans against the poltergeists. I can't find a partner, so I'll be two characters... Name: Zuri Takina Race: Human Age: 16 Appearance: 5'4". She has long, straight, silvery white hair with sky blue highlights and very pale blue eyes. She wears a white shirt, a medium-sleeved, long, sky blue jacket, a long, grayish blue skirt, and blue sandals. Partner: myself History: Zuri's grandparents were both killed by poltergeists when she was ten. Ever since then, she secretly practiced witchcraft so that she could ward off any other poltergeists that would do any harm to her or her family. It was from this that she managed to "summon" her guardian. She went on mini-adventures with that ghost, most of them being poltergeist hunts. Power: ability to produce light, plus various "light spells" that cam be summoned with a special book that Zuri carries around... (might change this later) Name: Telvienne Race: Ghost Age: 2, when she died Appearance: see attachment; she morphed a bit after she died Partner: myself History: Telvienne's name was Talia before she died. When she was almost two, she got an uncurable disease that gave her frequent seizures. When she turned two, she died of heart attack, a rare side effect of the disease. She then spent the next thousand years or so learning about the ways of life and stuff. She was somehow brought to Zuri later on... Power: see Zuri's signup Can I also sign up as a poltergeist? Anyway, hope those signups were OK and followed the directions...

OOC: Time to cheer a special someone up! IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ While Kieko was pondering and crying, Celestia and Asunan opened their eyes in unison--they knew what Kieko was thinking. Both tried to clear this from their minds, but the feeling was too powerful. They looked at each other and decided to talk to Kieko. She was sitting in a very dark and tiny chamber in the cave. "Hello, Kieko," Asunan greeted as she sat down next to Kieko. Celestia did the same thing. Asunan then held out her hand and formed a small, glowing orb, which lit up that part of the cave. Kieko put her head down and sighed heavily. "It's OK," Celestia comforted her, "I know how you feel. When I was transported to this universe, I felt as badly as you did, that I got the short end of the stick... But don't worry. I'm sure things will turn out for you..." "You know what?" Asunan asked Kieko. "Change doesn't always have to be good. When I was transported here, my archery skills weakened slightly, and my body temperature decreased, so I have to wear this cloak to keep warm... You must be glad that nothing happened to you." "Yeah," Kieko muttered, still sad, "but I haven't made any..." "Don't worry about that!" Celestia interrupted. "I know everyone else is together with someone, and that's really depressing..." "But," Asunan continued, "that can end now. The three of us can be friends! How would you like that?" "Hmmm..." Kieko thought. She looked at Celestia, then Asunan, then put her head down again, still thinking. OOC: And that's a short post!

...I think I accidentally put a spell on myself so that all my dreams would seem like reality... Virtually every time I dream, I wake up and wonder, "Whoa, did that just happen? I feel like that actually happened..." Some of the most memorable ones are the ones I wish were real... For example, twice, I had a dream about walking outside and looking up at the sky. There was a lunar eclipse, and I began to wish on it, because that's what I do when something like that happens... And I felt it slowly coming true when I woke up... But the thing is, I really wish those dreams were real, so that I actually made a wish... I don't know... does having a dream about making a wish count as a wish? I wish it did--there, I just made a wish... I mean... *groans* I'm confusing myself... :( Then there's one that really felt real--I was sitting in what I think was a log cabin, and I was standing on a loft, and I seemed to dive into the floor, but I bent back and actually flew... and I actually felt my heart leap... Then I flew out of the cabin and out across a lake... All the time, I actually felt an uplifting sense in my stomach that actually made me feel like I was actually flying... I also felt this force in my head... maybe I was using telekinesis or something to fly? And I even felt the air blowing, the water when I touched the lake... I REALLY wish that dream was real... It's also my happiest dream.

Hmmm... what am I into? I'm like most people here yet very unique... Yeah, like a lot of people, I'm into music, practically everything except country and rap... But techno is my favorite type, and pop as well. But I mainly like things with a good tune and not that much cussing. (Some rap songs have too much cussing--I hate that!) I'm also into anime/cartoons--anything animated appeals to me! I watch mainly cartoons on TV, especially on channels like WB and Cartoon Network... Things with superheroes or cute little monsters/creatures appeal to me the most... like Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Powerpuff Girls, X-Men, Teen Titans, Kirby... O.o I can't believe so many people here are into spelling and grammar--I'm not! I'm usually good at spelling/grammar, but sometimes I make typos and stuff and I'm too lazy to edit it... I'm also into computers, especially drawing on the computer and going on the internet. I just love forum sites and sites where you can download music (not illegally!) and scattered sites like Neopets... ... I'm also into writing stories and poems/songs and stuff... In fact, I'm gonna take a creative writing class in school next year! RPGs are a favorite of mine, like a lot of you... I started liking them, well, when I came here! ...Or I just love roleplaying in any form, but one of my favorite parts is designing a character... Strangely, a lot of those characters have
psychic powers
of some sort--another thing I'm into, or even completely obsessed with for some strange reason... I'm even embarrassed to say the word without putting in a spoiler tag over it... No, I don't mean the fake kind that astrologists use... Though I'm quite into that as well... I like to predict the future by reading cloud patterns or something... (which is hard to do in the summer since there usually are no clouds) OK, I'll stop talking now... *hides and blushes* Oh, I'm also into drawing... I can draw basically anything well except for birds and people... except for little kids and cute birds... But I just love (especially) to draw characters I created... whether it's by hand or on the computer... *points to her avatar, which she drew* Oh, there are more, but I won't list them all... (I can't believe I said the second to last one!) *slaps herself on the head* Oh well...
