Artea woke up with a big yawn. It was almost noon now and the sun showed brightly through the open window. The birds chirped merrily. Artea got up and got dressed, singing her favorite song, Hotel California. Alpha was already awake, but he jumped up when he saw that she was. They set out for a long walk in the forest. Alpha?s fur was jet black, and his wolfish features had not fully developed for he was only a pup. Hunter had given him to her for her birthday present last year. He was trained to protect her as well as he could in case Hunter could not be there. Artea-Where do you think Hunter went Alpha? Should we go look by the waterfall? Alpha just nodded, then looked up a tree barking. He had seen a big bird fly into it. Artea- You silly wolf?you?re not going to be able to get that bird up there. Come on we have to find Hunter, I don?t want him to get in any more trouble with his father. Alpha stopped and moved on, keeping an eye on that tree and that bird. He did not watch where he was going and ran into a tree. Artea giggled as he let out a little whimper. They neared the waterfall, climbing the rocks to get to the top. The view was magnificent. Artea took off her knee-high boots and splashed around in the water a little bit. Alpha ran around her so fast he splashed her, getting her soaked. Artea-(sarcastically) Thanks Alpha! I really needed to get this wet before I go see Hunter. She heard a faint rustle in the bushes behind her. Just thinking it was Hunter, she turned around with a smile on her face. That smile turned into a frown, for it was Lord Artemus Bleed. Artea screamed a shrill cry, a cry that could be heard through out the forest. Alpha, doing his job, lunged at the large man, but was knocked away into a tree. When he hit he was unconscious. Artea curled up in a ball crying. The man walked toward her. He had an evil look in his eyes. Bleed- Where?s your Prince now, my Dear? Artea-(thinking to herself)Hunter where are you?help me please!

She found the little dragon and looked around to see where it might have come from, when a little girl dropped out of the tree next to them. Girl: Hello, that is my dragon, Ryuu, he fell out of the tree we were sitting in. My name is Manatsu No Eve, but you can call me Eve. Eve smiled, as Artea handed her Ryuu. Artea: I?m Artea and this is Alpha. Don?t be fooled by his size he is a very strong animal. Alpha stood there and looked as mean as he could, but he only looked stupid. The girls laughed. Artea told Eve about her boyfriend Hunter and how she was picking the colitas to bring to him. Eve explained how she had met him earlier that day. They walked on down the path and as the day progressed they became close friends.
