If I had a boy, then I'd name him Sean.
0_o' took the words straight outta my mouth. if I had more than one boy and girl though (the thought somewhat frightens me), some other guy names I'd think about would be Adam, Joshua, and William (NOT for the reason you think, QA/Deedlit/Anna/etc., I really do simply like the name *laughs*). some other girl names I'd think about would be Selene, Bianca and Emma.
2.
Originally posted by REVENGE2 Doesn't the Mormon holy book (not the bible, the other one) have four points in it that not only contridict the bible, but also contridict what every other human on the planet knows to be a fact? That's just what my dad said, BTW. He told me one of them, but I won't get into it until I've got a confirmation.
well, it's hard to know what you're talking about unless you get it out in the open. The Book of Mormon goes over many different topics, you'll have to be a bit specific;).
3.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka And dear Amibasuki, is there someone in your life that you are obsessing about? :toothy: It's not that bad to be obsessed with people. As long as you don't stalk them and stake out at their house and stuff like that. I used to be a stalker, but I don't do that sort of thing anymore.. :shifty:
ah yes, how could I have possibly forgotten about him? seriously speaking.....ANYwho.....*walks off whistling*
4. eh, I got over a pretty big obsession over anime a couple of months ago. I still like anime a lot of course, but I'm not nearly as fanatical about it as I used to be. I know somebody who is beyond fanatical (or was, not sure now) about Ranma. ironically, I'm the one who got him into it, and I think I ruined his mind. that's the best personal example of a material obsession I can think of. obsessing about real people though, is a different story...
5.
Originally posted by REVENGE2 I personaly think the best thing anyone could do with their time is to simply burn any book which tells you how you should live your life, and instead simply go with the flow and do what YOU think is right. Because in the end, what you think is right generaly goes along with what those books are telling you to do anyway. I don't think it's right to kill or steal. Thus, I do not kill or steal.....
some people don't care. the only thing that's keeping them from doing those type of things is the law. even then, they do it anyway, if they think they're not gonna get caught. if everybody were to go with what they thought they should do, there'd be a heck of a lot more problems around today than there already are. 6.
Originally posted by Ryan Ok, I hate it when people link Abercrombie to preps. Ok, yah maybe preps do wear Abercrombie but I have been to school where the thing was that sk8ters wore abercrombie. Just because someone wears abercrombie doesn't mean they're a prep. Sterotypes people. I just hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and what's the matter with being a prep?
7.
Originally posted by Alexus_Bing Bing's Top 10 Actors These aren't in order of favouratism, just random. 1) Orlando Bloom -Mainly because he is Legolas *joins Juuthena under the table* 2) Nicholas Cage -Probably because of Face Off 3) Samuel L. Jackson -He was amazing in Unbreakable, and I have liked all his other films 4) Bruce Willis -He was also amazing in Unbreakable, and superb in the Die Hard trilogy. I also really liked Armageddon 5) Harrison Ford -Everything he has ever done, especially the Indiana Jones trilogy I also really like Ricky Gervais, I think he is so funny, especially in 'The Office', but he's not a Movie Actor.
so where are your other 5? :p
8. they're pretty good. they're not the most original band in the world, but they sound good.
9. meh, I could do without the anime. but the movie's supposed to be good, if you're a MB fan. I think it goes into some detail about the real first time that Yuu ran into Miki, since he apparently knew her before they met with each other's families. it's only about a half-hour long though, and I don't think it's licensed in the U.S. >.>'. I don't know if you already know all that or not though, so I'll just stop there, in case you've already heard it ^_^'. I like pretty much everybody in the series so far, except for Arimi. MAN she gets on my nerves. for a while, Ginta was makin' his way around that area, too. but then he finally backed off of Miki (for the time being anyway), so it's all good now ^_^. Ginta does trip me out sometimes though, especially when Yuu teases him about Miki.
10. you shouldn't be blaming yourself as bad as you are right now. it's not like you did it on purpose. and you still don't know for sure if he got into the rat poisoning or not; everything could still turn out fine. I hope all goes well for you.
11. I'm gonna make a wild observation and guess that you like A&F? :cross: lol, anywho. I just spent my Christmas money on a shirt, some jewelry, and a Vash the Stampede doll/action figure thingy(it's about a foot tall). man, I love that thing :toothy:. so those could go under Christmas presents too I guess.
12. mine is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, aka the Mormon religion. and yes, we are Christians.
13. yeah, supposedly the anime's not anywhere near as good as the manga is. plus with them dragging it out (the anime's 70-90 episodes long, or somewhere around there), it got really repetitive and boring and blah-blah-blah. the manga's only 8 volumes long though, so I don't think that's gonna be a problem. my favorite volume so far is either 1 or 4. I can't wait for 5! those mean ppl at TokyoPop put a preview synopsis of it in the last volume, and I'm climbing up the walls trying to wait for it.
14. yeah, clothes can be good gifts....providing they fit. I don't like people getting me clothes unless I'm there with them to try them on, because with half the clothes I get, they're either too big/small, fit weird in funny places, or are..um..not very pritty. whereas, if they just took me with them, I wouldn't have to take anything back or worry how everything fits, since all that would've been taken care of ahead of time. seems more convenient to me *shrug* :drunk:
15. that must've been awesome. I'm not trying to be stupid (can't help it sometimes :p), but what's the deal with your dad proposing to your mom if they've been together for 17 years? have they just been living together, or is it like a renewal [sp] of vows, or what? jus' curious and whatnot.
16. latest CD I've gotten is Nickel Creek's self-titled album. it's actually not that 'country-ish', just basically strings and voices for the most part, I think...without the 'twang', so to speak. heh, I like that song Know One Knows, too. it's pretty nifty. favorite style of music-wise, I don't know anymore :cross:. I'll listen to just about anything except for most country and rap/hip hop (I'd like it a lot more if they took the words out, or at least replaced 'em *oy*). favorite artists: some are Jon Schmidt, Moby, New Found Glory, Josh Groban, No Doubt (their older stuff), System of a Down, Sugarcult, 311, and Incubus. I like a whole lotta songs from different bands, but haven't heard a lot of the other bands' music, so I can't say much else about it.
17. I could've sworn I'd already replied to this thread . oh well, must be my mind slipping. Why are you an Otaku? because I like anime :cross: What introduced you to this kind of anime? well, Toonami introduced me to Tenchi/DBZ/Outlaw Star/etc., Queen Asuka introduced me to Fushigi Yuugi/Nadesico/Evangelion/etc., and I bought/borrowed other series' along the way What brought you to theOtaku.com? looking for DBZ pics in May of '01. then it got shut down temporarily, so I just joined the Boards out of boredom with the rest of the version 2.0 newbies.
18. heh, I know we could sure use a little bit of that this year.....not necessarily the proposals or something, but the feeling that people don't hate each other's guts, you know?
19. can't remember the last time there was a MB thread (or if there ever was one at all). so who all's seen the anime, or read the manga? what do you think of it? I'm halfway through the manga series, 4 more to go ^_^. I don't think I'll try seeing the anime though. maybe the OVA/movie, if it comes to the U.S. I beg, no spoilers please!
20. I don't think getting a lot of presents makes someone spoiled (and no, I'm not just saying that). I think when you start expecting a lot of presents is when you're spoiled. I did get alotta stuff this year (not compared to some, but still). but some food for thought: the most expensive thing I got (excluding the money) was that Nickel Creek CD (about 14 bucks, I think). I think that could explain a bit :bluesweat.
21. heh, well I doubt anybody likes Invader Zim just for the animation....
22. heh, well since everybody's already opened their presents (and I finally finished buying all of them), here's what I really got everybody: - my dad: Airplane DVD - my mom: a porcelain Christmas display thingy - Anna: the Black Knight from the Holy Grail (it has detachable limbs ^_^) - Samantha: Wish from CLAMP manga vol.2 - Susan: Wish from CLAMP manga vol.1 - C.J.: Hamtaro plushie and movie for my buddie Peggy, I got some jewelry, and I just got a card for......I'll call him Dan (I don't wanna hear no lip from Anna or Deedlit :mrt: ), since I wasn't really sure what to get him, or even if it was a good idea to get him something in the first place. so.....yeah! Merry Christmas everybody! :D
23.
Originally posted by vegeta rocker well when i get nothing that sucks, but i just got the worst like a few seconds ago. i got plastic tape cases, yeah mom ignore the fact im into anime DVDS. not tapes.
so you're mad that your mom bought you anime? sorry if I don't pity you.
24. - Marmalade Boy vol.4 - porcelain doll and mini Rudolph figurines ^_^ - clothes - Nickel Creek CD - jewelry - sketchpad - Jon Schmidt Christmas piano book ^__^ - money/gift certificate - two candleholder thingies and saltshakers (my parents have been getting me stuff for when I get my own house/apartment; won't be for some time though) - CD case (been needing another one for awhile) - picture frames (been needing those, too) I'm pretty happy with what I got. Anna's been after me all morning to finish the Marmalade Boy manga, lol.
25. some actors I like Johnny Depp, Elijah Wood, Nicholas Cage, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Sean Connery, and Winona Ryder. that's what I could think of at the top of my head, anyway. EDIT: argh, I forgot George Clooney and Sandra Bullock :cross:. can't stand Jim Carey for the life of me. I like a few of his movies, but for the most part he grates on my nerves.
