Anime anyone know a good book No, I know what i'm talking about
amibasuki replied to Sora's topic in Otaku Central
there's a thread here that should probably help you out a bit. to help you with your question in the mean time though, I'd recommend Magic Knight Rayearth. it's got some love stuff in it, and it's really into the whole magical girl thing, or whatever it's called. the closest thing it's got to adult content is one of the villians wearing a scanty-looking outfit, but other than that it's fine. you might like it. EDIT: oh, not trying to be a busybody or anything, but if you wanted to add to what you had already said, you could have used the 'edit' icon. double-posting (two posts in a row) is against rules here. just thought I should say somethin' in case you didn't know. :) -
the Lion King is the shiznit. I also really liked Aladdin. then of course those stupid sequels came out, and basically made me not want to watch it anymore. man, I think Return of Jafar is probably the worst sequel to an animated movie ever done. except for Land Before Time, but we're talkin' about Disney here. oh, I also really like Hercules, that was a good one, too.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I've noticed the reuse a lot of people too... That one blonde guy in particular; he had the lead in that skateboarding movie.
Originally posted by Endymion I can't stand any of the original movies on the Disney Channel. They recycle actors constantly (like that guy from "Smart House" & "Luck of the Irish" and that girl from "Halloween Town" & "Quints.")
most of the actors suck. I'm sure there are some decent ones.........just can't think of any at the moment :whoops:. oooooh, I can't STAND that Kimberly J. Brown girl........why in the name of all that is good do I even know her name? 0_o' I need to go read a book or something.....:drunk:
Adam, I was longing for more sections on theOtaku.com. It sure did take you long enough, o_O;. Well I hope eventually you'll have a Neon Gensis Evangelion section next, if you don't; I'll be forced to hurt you...I would assume this is the section section you would work on because it does have many loyal fans[like myself.] Its just a suggestion....A very good one if your smart.....

Cool ne site adam, but when are you going to update Digimon? It's fallen so far behind, I would like to see some Season two and three stuff on there as well, plus I made some wallpapers for it, since you had none
*being half-sarcastic* geez, some people aren't grateful for anything....

if you want a really good place for music videos, go to http://www.dbcollection.com/trunks (I'm not trying to advertise, I'm just saying that, well, it's a really good place for music videos :cross: ). most of the older ones are down, but most of the ones that are still up are really good. they do have some DBZ music videos (in fact, one of my most favorite music videos is about Trunks and called Traces of Insanity, if anybody would care), and they also have other anime music videos (like Ceres, Fushigi Yuugi, they've got this really funny one of Cowboy Bebop, etc.). the webmistress just added Trigun and Kenshin ones that I'm dying to see, so yeah, I'd better get working on it :D!

well, the some of the anime's supposed to be decent anyway. I don't think the manga would be all that great though.

well that was stupid of them. makes we wanna go around and push their faces in mud. overall, inner beauty is most important, but outer beauty is also important to a small extent. it can sometimes hint at what they think about themselves. for example, if a person never took a shower/bath and brushed his/her hair, etc. and (s)he easily could if (s)he wanted to, I'd think they didn't have a whole lot of self-respect or self esteem. if they did, why would (s)he allow himself to walk around like that? but maybe that's just me or something.

probably to try something different with their music. either that or they just ran out of ideas for new songs, lol.

well, My December isn't exactly supposed to be happy and upbeat. it is a pretty simple song, but it's sounds good (to me, anyway) nonetheless. but to each his own...
Originally posted by Justin Mormans(sp?) don't believe in ingesting anything not healthy for the body. Mormans, by the way, are not to be confused with Christians. They are a pseudo-Christian religion, no matter what they would have you think.
Mormons are Christians. if we weren't, then why on earth would the name of the church be called 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints'? since this isn't on topic, if you'd like to have a little discussion concerning it, PM me or Anna. as for the caffeine bit, there appear to be a lot more bad side effects of it than good. so I think it wouldn't be that great to mess with. EDITS:
The Bible says that as well... "your body is your temple blah blah blah so treat it right" and such. However, most everything has a harmful effect in some way on your body. Unless you grew your own fruits and vegetables in your backyard and drank nothing but filtered water... you could be ingesting something unhealthy. Plus I don't think there's a Mormon alive who could honestly say they have eaten nothing that's bad for their body.
lol, nobody could. if somebody did, (s)he'd be lying, lol. and yeah, we do have a sort of health code, it's called the Word of Wisdom. it's not as strict as some people make it out to be. the parts people usually freak out over is where it says we're not supposed to drink coffee or tea because of the chemicals in them. there are some certain teas that are okay to drink though, can't remember which ones they are though :cross:. I would like to say right now that this is Deedlit using Amibasuki's account. The cookies on this computer won't clear or something, thus she can't log out of her account, and I can't log in! :grumble: 300 dollars for a plushie?! That's absurd!! Who would pay $300 for a toy?

I never was much of a PlayStation fan. :cross: It's mainly my little brother and sister who play it.

The cookies on this computer won't clear or something, thus she can't log out of her account, and I can't log in! :grumble: I'm definately not a morning person. If I had it my way, I would sleep until 10 or 11AM. I never do well on tests if they're early in the morning because my brain is still fast asleep. I had an algebra test today which just happens to be in second period, so my brain was off most of the time. I hope I did well.....

First of all, I would like to say right now that this is Deedlit using Amibasuki's account. The cookies on this computer won't clear or something, thus she can't log out of her account, and I can't log in! :grumble: Inner beauty should be of most importance when it comes right down to it. Outer beauty is just a mask you hide behind, whereas your inner beauty such as you personality and your emotions is what makes you who you are. Enough said. :)

I went out for a walk today, and on the way home, I heard footsteps behind me from the leaves crunching on the ground. at first I thought maybe it was a squirrel or something, but the crunching wasn't erratic. it was spaced out to be like a regular person walking. I was pretty freaked out by about that time. luckily I was almost near my house by that time, so I just walked (very quickly) up to the driveway, and nothing happened, thank goodness. can't think of any other experiences where I've been followed, other than at school, but those aren't quite the same situations. I haven't heard a lot of the Cowboy Bebop music other than the really popular stuff (Tank!, Green Bird, Real Folk Blues, etc.). but another song I like that hasn't been brought up (other than in discography) is Bad Dog No Biscuit. I found an MP3 of it, but the friggin' losers only ripped half of the song (so they could keep their page open, I'm sure, but still! *fake pout*). what I did hear of it was good though. I always picture thousands of little Eins running through the street whenever I listen to it, lol.

I wouldn't say they're like, the best, but they're decent. my favorite songs from Hybrid Theory are Papercut, A Place for My Head, and By Myself. I've had My December stuck in my head for the past couple of days for some reason.

my parents were never really that big on video games just because we'd be fighting over it all the time, though they also probably thought it would take away from our homework time or something. we finally got our first game console during the summer, my younger brother and deedlit probably use it the most though.
Originally posted by amiboshi I thought Ranma 1/2 was too repetitive by the 5th volume...lol. But Inu-Yasha is still pretty good, IMO. I'm on volume...21 or 22 and it does repete a bit, but not enough to be dull. ^-^
gaw, they have a volumes 21? I haven't even seen a 13 yet 0_o'. then again, I haven't gone shopping for a good couple of months...

as I've said in the other Ring thread, I loved the movie. I was scared out of my wits though, since I'm not very good with horror movies anyway. the girl in the picture isn't the friend of the girl who died, but she plays a really big role in the movie. I dunno if I should say what it is though, I'm not sure how much I can reveal without it being a spoiler. but her name is Somara.

well that's a little harsh... I don't think he should be dropped just because he does drugs. as long as it doesn't affect the way he treats his friend, it shouldn't matter.
-
if he was actually IN LOVE with the person he's not going out with, he wouldn't still have feelings for his current girlfriend, which he's stated he does in fact still have also. this guy's just being fickle.

if it wouldn't change who I am now, I'd want to go back to when I was a kid and change...well, just about everything I did. I was pretty mean and said/did some pretty rotten things back then. heh, better I learned then than now I guess.
