From the people who made FOX's Batman: The Animated Series, WB's Superman, The New Batman Adventures, The Batman/Superman Adventures, Batman Beyond, Static Shock and Cartoon Network's Justice League (and a few other series I don't feel like naming) comes another animated series based off the DC comic book francise... coming this summer. The Teen Titans Batman's sidekick, Robin, leads a group of young teenaged heroes in their ongoing battle against crime and evil. The Titans are Robin (The Boy Wonder), Starfire (an alien princess), Beast Boy (a boy who changes into... beasts), Cyborg (half man, half machine), and Raven (a cloaked girl with strange powers). Who's heard of the Teen Titans before? I'd never heard of them until I read a news report about this series. I did a little research just to figure out who the heck Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire were. Everybody knows Robin, and Cyborg was on The Superfriends. Isn't there a resident comic book expert around here?

The health restore code goes a little something like...
Pause the game. Hold L1, L2, R1, and R2 while tapping triangle, down, X, up. Unpause the game and your health should be refilled.
Not to offend Bebop fans, but couldn't they just take Cowboy Bebop out of their line-up for a while? It's been on every incarnation of Adult Swim, including the original Sunday night line-up. I think the world can live without seeing Faye, Ein, and Ed get re-introduced another 15 times in a row. Anyway, I like Lupin (or is it Lupan?) III. I downloaded the Super Famicom videogame a while back and I'm glad to see what the anime is really like. It's pretty funny and I liked it once I got over how old it was... which only took about 5 minutes. "Disgust rises from deep within me." "I will reunite you with your ancestors!"

I'd like to retract my previous statement about the game being "evil." I was perhaps a little hasty in my judgement, seeing as how I declared it "evil" after only playing it once. I played that level a second time and won. Silly me... Anyway, when I said "less than a thimble of life" I was talking about the gate, not myself. I knew about the health restore code. I've been using it the whole time. My problem was that the gate fell apart too easily. I think it was battling the Ogre and stopping the kamikaze exploding Uruk-Hai at the same time that got me.

They were taking advantage of the fans. You were forced to wait another couple of months before you can see the last dozen episodes of the series, and Funimation was hoping that you'd get impatient enough to go out and buy the last few episodes on VHS or DVD. Just a ploy to increase sales. I was so upset that they re-ran the episodes without finishing that I just stopped watching Dragonball altogether. I even stopped watching DBGT (unsubtitled, Japanese) on the iChannel.

I don't know. I might rent Undercover Brother... some day... if I'm really bored.

I like them. I'm not a fan, but I think they're good. They caught my attention with some of their music videos (which are always funny). For instance, I thought the video to "Learn to Fly" was really funny. I'd watch the video everytime it came on TV, until the point where I realized I new some of the words. I don't go out of my way to listen to one of their songs, but I don't exactly avoid the music, either.

That game is evil, I tells ya. Evil!! If you would've asked me a few days ago, I would've told you that it was one of the best game I've ever played. However, since having to defend that rickety old gate with less than a thimble of life at Helm's Deep (and losing just before destroying the catapult), I have decided that this game is the most evil of all video games ever made. I don't know how you "gamer" types beat that level, but I still think it's evil.

Hexadecimal was the funniest character on the show; hands down! This is the virus who froze the entire system just for kicks. Bob (the only person not frozen) sneaks up behind her and kicks her across the room and all she had to say was "Funny. I sense a presence." Then there was the time she got ahold of Paint and started cropping and pasting and copying and recoloring the entire "city." Every few steps Bob took in Hex's lair, a cardboard cut-out was copied and pasted behind him. Let's not forget how she loved to play with her mask/face. Everytime she felt a different emotion, she'd wave her hand over her face and a new mask with a different expression would appear. One second it's a sad face with a tear painted under the eyes, and (literally) the next second, it would be an evil face with fangs. And when she lost controll of her army of nulls... Nullzilla! Gotta love Hex. She was pathetic when she turned good, though. Too busy trying to prove to everyone that she was a harmless virus.

 You can't be serious! He really compared himself to Tupac? That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard! No, wait... Sisqo saying that he's the best R&B singer and his album flopping, followed by R. Kelly dissing him several times on his Jay-Z collaboration album is the dumbest. Ja Rule comparing himself to Tupac comes in a close second, which leaves Bobby Brown's title "The King of R&B" in a disappointing 3rd.

It's bad parenting, plain and simple. I don't remember anyone ever suing the makers of "The Snorks" if/when their children died of drowning in the 1980's. The job of parents is to watch over their children like a hawk. How old was this girl? Did she know how to swim? What kind of boat was it? Where were her parents when this happened? How did they know she was looking for Spongebob? Why not "The Little Mermaid"? Was she wearing a lifejacket? It's sad that their daughter died and all, but what's real?
-
There's something about this story that I hate more. I'm usually a little apathetic (not something I'm proud of) in cases where parents harm their children. It's cases like this where parents don't even touch their kids, but just ignore their existance that bother me. To me, the one thing worse than beating your child to death is leaving your child to the wolves. When a child dies, it's dead. When a child is ignored like this, a whole grab-bag of possibilities open up, and that's what upsets me.
-
If anyone, it's the parents' fault. The girl should've been wearing a life jacket. They should've explained to her that she can't breathe underwater. Heck! The show states several times that Spongebob can't breathe air and Sandy (the squirrel) can't breathe water! It's not the show's creators' fault for making a cartoon that takes place underwater. This is a classic case, really; kid sees something on TV and imitates it with negative results. It may not be anyone's fault. Just a case of a little girl who couldn't swim.

Well, yeah, I liked Bobby Brown back in the 80s and there's a bunch of New Edition songs I can't get enough of. Heck, I even liked the New Edition reunion album. I just don't like Bobby Brown because of what he's doing to Whitney.

Oh. My. What the hell was running through this woman's mind? You're not supposed to leave a seven and three year old alone when you go to the corner store, let alone 3,000 freaking miles across the darned country to meet some mama-freaking a-hole she met off of the internet! Can you tell I'm trying to hold back? That's just disgusting. Not only should she have her children taken away, she should be spayed so that this can never happen again! I mean, was the woman under the influence of anything when she decided to leave alone two lives for which she is completely responsible for? She makes me sick!

These days, I have no life. So my routine usually consists of... 10am: Wake up, Eat Breakfast, Watch TV 2pm: Go Online 7pm: Eat Dinner, Watch TV 8pm: Go Online again 1am: Go To Bed. This is exactly why I keep telling myself to get a job. Oh well. I'm starting school in a couple of weeks, so that ought to fill up my agenda.

I liked Ja Rule until he started to sing. I think that started when he did that song with Vita and Lil Mo (who also has an annoyingly high voice). The song he did with Mary J. Blige was the last straw for me. I've been anti-Ja ever since! His rapping voice isn't so bad. It's his singing voice that bothers me! And that fact that he revived the singing career of Bobby Brown (who I just do not like) bothers me to no end. I accept that some of you guys do not like rap music. I'm not too fond of country music, personally. Of course, I wouldn't reply to a thread about the Dixie Chicks just to say something inappropriate and rude like "country sucks because I hate it" even though I've never heard a Dixie Chicks song in my life. And even if I didn't like rap, I certainly wouldn't say something ignorant like "all rap is violent" in a thread about a man who does nothing but rap about love. I mean, how would that make me look? But that's just me.

Even though I've dubbed myself Otaku Board's Biggest R&B Fan(tm), I don't really like Ashanti that much. I mean, her songs are catchy and I'm not going to lie about how much I liked "Foolish" and "Unfoolish" (until the radio wouldn't stop playing it!), but she's a "studio voice." Everytime she goes on stage, her voice isn't nearly as good as it is in the recording studio. She went on an episode of Sabrina and dropped down an octave in a part of "Happy" where she was supposed to go higher. It just bothers me. She looks good, though. No complaints there. :D Hmm... I'm gonna have to find that Ja Rule thread you were talking about and throw in my two cents about the moron who revived Bobby Brown's singing career.

I saw some of the series on the International Channel. I stopped watching it for a while (forgot when it came on) and I don't even know if it's still on. It was pretty good. I like how the teacher had to be sober in order to use his super strength, but he was constantly smoking and drinking.

That's assuming Freeza sleeps... The last person I'd want to switch bodies with is a dragonball dragon. Imagine that the only you ever see the light of day is when some Tom, Dick, or Harry wants to bring their friend back to life or wish for women's underwear. And even then the sun is blocked out by your awesome power, so you never really get to see a clear sky. Suddenly I understand why Shenlong is always so pished...

I haven't seen the show, but I like the way it's set up. I think it should serve up as a good kick in the head to all of these gold diggers who think they can go on television and marry some guy because of his money. The Bachelor disgusts me. A bunch of women go and compete against one another on who the best gold digger is and the audience at home isn't supposed to judge them and their digging way. I'm not going to watch Joe Millionaire the whole way through. I'm just gonna wait until the last episode where he tells the winner that he makes less money than a qualified public school teacher.

Are you sure he said "opacity" and not audacity(sp?)?

ReBoot was one of my favorite shows. It was the first CG animated kid's series and it was made by the people who created Beast Wars: Transformers, Beast Machines, Action Man, and few other projects I can't think of right now. Yes, it was supposed to be a little cheesy and that was supposed to be a good thing. The show wasn't supposed to be all that serious. It was about three sprites trying to save their system from two viruses named Megabyte and Hexadecimal, while at the same time trying to beat the User at videogames that made fun of today's pop culture. I thought the show was pretty funny and that the plot (as odd was it was) was handled very well.
