I also said that the quote may have been taken out of context and I was addressing everyone as a group. I'm not looking directly at you. I'm looking in your general vicinity.

This is kinda hard for a guy to admit... I got my name from Sailormoon. :o A few years back in a WebTV chat room, I wanted to be Tuxedo Mask, but every variation of the name was already taken. I remembered that Tuxedo Mask is called "King Endymion" in his next life, so I made my screen name King_Endymion. After realizing several SM characters got their names from Greek myths, I looked up Endymion and found out he was a handsome guy (ranked right up there with Adonis and Narcisis) who married the demi-goddess Selene and fell into an eternal sleep (with Selene watching over him forever.) I thought the story was kool, so I dropped the "king" and I've been Endymion ever since. My other screen names are Webb (which is my real name) and Manic-Hedgehog (Sonic The Hedgehog's drum-playing brother from "Sonic Underground")
Originally posted by Sere Tuscumbia If you think that I was calling you names, then you're stupider than I thought.
Ok, you know what? I'd like to remind everybody that we're all voicing our opinions and there is no need to insult your peer's intelligence just because he/she has a different opinion about whether Christina Aguilera wears pants over her underwear or not. Given that quote may have been taken out of context, it shouldn't impare the point I'm trying to make.

Change, although scary, can be a good thing. When I was 13, my step-mom told me she was pregnant (actually, my dad was supposed to tell me, but it somehow slipped from my step-mom's and step-brothers' mouths first). My baby sister was born when I was 14. For the first time in 14 years, I was no longer the youngest child. I was scared, because I now had to help take care of this young life. I had no idea what to do. I had to change diapers and hold her until she went to sleep at night. On the plus side, I have a baby sister! It's fun to watch her grow up and she brings out the kid in me. Plus I feel needed :D In change, there is growth. Growing older makes you into a better person. It's like one of my teachers said the week before graduation... "Be child-like. Don't be childish."
Originally posted by wrist cutter I think she is quite unattractive. Her hair is awful. She might be good looking if she wasn't trying so hard to look ugly.
There's something I'm not ready to argue about... :p As for Christina's talent... she's a very talented singer. That much is true. Her vocal ability is very powerful. The one thing holding her back is the fact that she has no control over it. She admits to never being trained.

I haven't heard it yet. I can't wait to hear it though. It's about time she did a decent song without Beyonce in it. Kelly did all the verses in "Bootylicious" yet Beyonce had more ad-libs... go figure.

I'm confused... Some of you say kids will just stay up and watch it, anyway. Some of you can't watch it because you can't stay up that late on a school night. Is anyone else lost?

I know it sounds lame and I have no plans to pay for that movie. I might watch it, but I don't plan to pay for it.
Originally posted by amiboshi But I thought kids was their biggest audience on Saturdays for Adult Swim...
That's the entire point of them taking it off, I suppose. The entire point of Adult Swim is for adults to watch it, not kids. They're going out of their way to make sure kids don't watch Adult Swim. I guess they're afraid of parents writing letters and complaining about why a block of adult cartoons are on at a time when children could see them.

I suppose it would make sense if Kuwabara was his surname (last name), seeing as how he calls Yusuke by his last name (Urameshi). People who aren't really that close to him call him Kuwabara, so I guess it's his last name.

They're going to keep saturday's Adult Swim Action block. They're just adding more nights to it and getting rid of that darned Midnight Run block... at least that's what I heard. And what's wrong with Adult Swim Comedy on sundays? I happen to like Harvey Birdman and The Oblongs.

Looking good while bald is all dependant on the shape of your head. If you have an apple-shaped head, don't go bald. Never. Ever! It'll look just weird. With the right shaped head, anyone can look decent bald. Oh, and your ears can't be as big as Will Smith's or Dumbo's (which ever of the two has the smaller ears)

The truth is that Christina and Britney are influencing young girls to dress like them, which gives their male peers (and maybe even older men) the wrong idea. Should little girls be allowed to dress like this? Of course not. That's how sexual harrassment happens. HOWEVER, Christina Aguilera is not your daughter, not your little sister, and not your neice. You are in no way in charge of what a grown woman dresses like and how she behaves. You are in charge of your own kids. If a child you're supposed to take care of is trying to dress like either one of them and you don't like it, stop them! It's your responsibility as a legal guardian and the child's real role model to tell your child how not to dress, if you think it's unsafe for them. If Christina and Britney dress that way, it doesn't mean you should let your own kids dress that way just because they're pop idols. Protect your daughters. Tell them that it's wrong and why. If that doesn't work, go for some good ol fashioned discipline! I think it's okay that my 4 year old little sister listens to Briney Spears and watches rap videos. It's just music and television. However, if that girl even tries to walk outside wearing only a thong and a bikini top, I will have a good long talk with her and our parents. And if that doesn't work? I'll turn into Big Brother Drill Sargent and let that girl know the downside of dressing that way like an episode of Maury. Raise your kids. Don't let Britney and Christina's music videos do it for you.
Originally posted by vaca_diablo neither is responding to a thread if you are not going to say anything about it. have a nice day.
Do I sense some hypocrisy? I believe I do. And just to be on topic... I don't know who Wesley Willis is. What type of music is it and what are some of his (or the band's) songs?

I live in California... near San Francisco. We either get rain, or cold sunny days. (The sun's out and it's cold as hades. I hate that!) Maybe I'll take a vacation and go somewhere where it snows. I've never seen snow before.

You know, typing in all CAPS wasn't all that necessary.

Song-wise, Christina has always talked about sex. It was just disguised by a glittery video and pop-ish beat. The only thing new about "Dirrty" is the obvious hip-hop influence. As for the video, it does seem like she was trying to out-do Britney. The difference, however, is that Britney Spears' sexually inticing videos were done a lot more tastefully than Christina's. I guess the director of the "dirrty" video can be partially blamed for that, but Christina had no objections to how the video was presented. I mean, the video was 10 times raunchier than Redman's video to "Let's Get Dirty." BET has to show this video on its 3am Un-Cut sexually explicit video block (not that I watch it or anything.) So really, she over-did it this time.
Originally posted by genkai_yyh duh. at least you're prepared this time. and you can warn them, so that they can live what they have to the fullest!
I don't think you can warn them. Just like before, it's going to end again... the exact same way. I would never subject myself to that. If I had just grieved about it and relived that moment over and over in my own mind, why would I want to relive it again (this time for real), after I'd just decided to move on? I'd be doing nothing but torturing my own soul.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve I'm wondering if they'll be strict about asian actors or not, except the portayal of certain "American looking" characters.
If anyone, the characters I believe must be played by Asian actors are ChiChi, Krillin (he was a Chinese monk, for goodness sakes!), Ox King/Gyu Maou, and maybe Yamcha. Bulma's family and all aliens are too miscellaneous-looking. and Ernie Reyes Jr. would be a perfect teenaged Gohan. And Verne Troyer is way too short to play Krillin.
Originally posted by MajinBuu All that work? Typing a few sentences isn't that much work. :p
You never know. Some people like to type entire essays in their threads, which take minutes on minutes to write.

I think obsese people should have two seats, but they shouldn't pay double price. Maybe they could get the second seat for half-price. As for that woman... I don't think they airline was trying to do enough for her when she was being squashed to death. If the woman was complaining about the passenger next to her cutting off her air supply and pushing her kidneys into her feet, then the flight attendants could have at least seen if there was someone who was willing to trade with her. Someone with a stronger skeletal structure or something.

If people have to be about the same size to fuse, how come Goku and Vegeta can fuse? Vegeta is only about as high as Goku's shoulder.

Eh. I saw a few episodes of Zoids. It seemed kinda interesting (at least the war did. That whole tournament was stupid), but I just couldn't get into it. What I really wished they'd do is take Batman Beyond off (or did they do that already?)

I forgot my other favorite Weird Al song... "This Song's Just Six Words Long."
