I have mixed opinions about this movie. Eminem is another rapper-gone-actor and those movies have a long history of being bad. The plot looks interesting, but I have no idea what kind of acting skills he has. Along ith the risk of bad acting, the movie's serious message and plot could be over-shadowed by bad dialogue (which also have a long history of being in rappers' movies). On the other hand, this movie may just shock the world. Eminem tends to play maybe 2 or 3 characters in his own songs, so he might just be a good actor. Who knows. Plus there's a whole lot of other people in the cast who could make this movie better (or potentially worse). This is just like any other movie, only I'm worried about the whole "rapper-turned-actor" thing. Oh, and one other thing... I am a fan of Eminem's music, although I do not agree with everything he says. On the other hand, he says "just kidding" and says he's joking in a lot of his songs, which a lot of people tend to ignore. He crosses the line a lot when it comes to talking about homosexual people, that there's no arguing about. However, somebody commented about Eminem's "racial slurs" despite the fact that he doesn't make racial slurs. Oh, and let's all completely ignore the hundreds of platinum-selling rappers before him who had hateful lyrics. They're not white rappers, so they don't get any attention from the media whatsoever.

How could they have killed off Prue's boyfriend? That's just how they do things on this show. No one is allowed to have a happy relationship (except maybe Piper).

The only anime I think Toonami edited themselves were the Gundam series, Tenchi, and Outlaw Star. Everything else was edited by somebody else (like FUNimation or Clover Way) Editing out certain religious themes and keeping others in doesn't make sense most of the time. For example, Duo from GundamW calls himself "The God of Death." Toonami edited that out (during the afternoon run, anyway) even though Duo was using an imaginary polytheistic name. He's not referring to any real religion by calling himself that. On a whole 'nother note, we have "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" starring Death himself. That just doesn't make any sense.

I haven't heard it yet. I'll have to listen to the radio more.

I believe he sits backstage and makes pasta. :p I wonder why no none picks the Iron Chef Italian. It's always "Chinese and Japanese."
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I forgot a character I thought was pretty cool.... That red furry monster that wears sneakers. He is in those haunted house Bugs Bunny episodes. I forget his name.
I think his name was Hugo. One of my favorite cartoons is the "Bugs Bunny 51 1/2 Birthday" where Bugs, Daffy, Elmer, and Sam are trying to film a short music segment for Bug's 51st and one half birthday. Bugs: "Cut!" Daffy: "No! Don't cut! And furthermore, you'll be hearing from my--" (a floor-board smashes into his face) Bugs: "Eh... now cut?" Daffy: "You smug son of a--"

I'm sure his strength ranks somewhere around Videl's, Roshi's, and Gyu Maou's. Stronger than Bulma, but weaker than ChiChi...

I know I've only seen the dub, but I'm pretty sure the sub/Japanese version of the show still has an obscenely underdeveloped plot. Still, if you like the show, that's your choice.

I noticed that, too. I was wondering what happened to all the Speedy cartoons. If Speedy Gonzalez is such a horrible stereotype, why does Cartoon Network's Boomerang constantly play "Quickdraw McGraw" with his Mexican companion Baba Louie?

Punk Rock. Now here's a genre that's fully got its act together. You're all arguing on which punk bands are really punk bands. Anyway, I seem to listen to more of these "pseudo-punk" bands.

I'd say he reminds me more of Macho Man than Hulk Hogan. And if he's the most powerful character because he never died, what does that say about Baba, who is not only older, but may have never died and travels to the planets of the Kais at her whimsy? The rest of your logic, there's no arguing with that. Mr. Satan has had an important impact since the episode he first showed up.
Originally posted by Majora's Mask Right...And by "rock", you mean "Happy Crappy Poser Rock, Sung By a Talentless Loser who didn't get enough face time, and made his own band!"...Sorry, I really don't like pop...
So I'm not the only one who thinks that...

Mr. Satan (or Hercule. Whatever you wanna call him) is an annoying, loud-mouthed liar. Well-made character, though. And Gohan's relationship with his daughter supplies enough conflict to further their relationship, but not so much that it takes over the show.

Book an express flight to Japan friday night and watch DBZ every Saturday morning. It's so simple and inexpensive, I'd be a fool not to do it! Yeah, anyway. Like Syk3 said, you can see if you have the International Channel or go buy the DVDs. Illegal means consist of fansubs and free online downloads. These ways are illegal, wrong, and should never be done. ;)

I heard about the Fist of the North Star movie. Didn't it end at the anime's half-way point?

Oh, and I forgot to say that Porky and Daffy is the greatest Looney duo next to Tweety and Sylvester.

I listen to Neo-Soul. They all use instruments. But no one really hates that. People mostly ignore it...

Nona Gaye wasn't Helen from Cleopatra 2525. That was somebody else. I can't wait to see these movies. I wonder what Zion is like.

Guyver... that horrible horrible American live-action Guyver movie. The bad memories keep on flooding back. By the way, Big O is an anime knock off of an American series (Batman). Same with Goku and Superman (which has been around since the late 1930s)

I'm going with a tie between Daffy and Porky. Daffy is too under-appreciated. I liked him better when he's not stressing over Bugs, though. Porky used to be the merry melody toon until Bugs and Elmer started to take over.

I knew Phoebe-n-Cole was going to end as soon as Cole lost his powers. Without his powers, he was completely expendable. Then he became the Source of all evil, then they killed him. Now he's back. I honestly don't think Cole should've come back. He served his purpose to the story. What's he going to do now? Fail over and over again to gain Phoebe's trust until he turns evil again?
Originally posted by Final Flash It always came off as kinda cheezy to me, especially when I first started watching it, just 'for laughs'.
It's a show about three women with magical powers who have to save the world on a daily basis and still manage to balance their everyday lives. That's just cheesy enough to spread on my nachos. :D

If there is already a thread like this somewhere, I couldn't find it. All of the Fs and roman numerals are confusing :cross: Has anyone actually played Final Fantasy V? It seems like everyone talks about the first FF, FFIV, FFVI, VII, VIII, and X. I rarely hear about FFV. (There goes the Fs and roman numerals again :cross: ) I noticed that FFV only uses a handful of constant characters (so far, anyway. I'm still playing it) and has a system of jobs you have to master. Are there any other FF games that have your characters take on different jobs and appearances?

Enter The Loophole Technically, the rules say that you shouldn't repeat a thread that's still on the first page. If the other thread about singing isn't on the first page, then this thread is perfectly legal. Redundant, but legal. Anyway, yeah. A thread like this was made not too long ago. Sorry. I doubt this is going to go anywhere. -
Pilot Candidate... Evangelion... I'm not seeing the connection. I see a group of teens piloting giant robots, but I just described Gundam, Voltron, and about a dozen other series. Pilot Candidate was ok. It was a little slow-paced, the story didn't go very far, the villains weren't developed at all, there's no back-story to anyone except for the main character, and that didn't go very far either. Other than that, it was a good series.
