Strange how nobody knows the real name of the guy who played Mr. Bean. Anyway, it's Rowin Atkinson.

Some time ago, I bought "Tenchi Muyo! Midsummer Eve" aka "Tenchi Movie 2: Daughter of Darkness" on DVD. It's a pretty good movie, almost as good as "Love." It even included my favorite weapon, The Light Hawk Sword. (Spoiler Alert!) However there's one part that bothers me a little. In the part where Tenchi and Ryoko go down to Yuzuha's dimension, Washu warns them that Tenchi's sword won't work in a light-less demon dimension. Katsuhito (Tenchi's grandpa) says that they'd need the power of Jurai's strongest tree, Tsunami, to give Tenchi his powers back. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Sasami joined with Tsunami? To give Tenchi his power back, wouldn't Sasami just have to use Tsunami's power or something? Using Funaho just seemed kinda pointless to me.

I always wanted to see that movie. I'll have to rent it... (if Hollywood Video returns my calls!)

Dirty Pair Flash is really goofy, but it sorta makes me sit there like "Um... ok..." The plots get easily side-tracked by T&A and goofy montages.

I don't like the way Kagato dies in the OVA and TV series. He's too calm when he dies. He smiles at Tenchi like he'll be back, but he never returns. Truthfully, I wish he had come back in the OVA.

Trust me, seeing the last 5 minutes of Please Save My Earth won't help you much. Anyway, I had to watch Key: The Metal Idol 3 times before I understood it and I still don't get Serial Experiments Lain.

Allow me to explain... First of all, in Japan, a married couple uses the WIFE'S last name. Okay, so when Yosho came to Earth, he married a woman with the last name Masaki. Masaki sounds like Misaki, but they have nothing to do with each other. When Yosho got married, he took his wife's last name. So Achika's last name was Masaki, just like her mother's. When she married Nobuyuki, he changed his last name to Masaki. Tenchi's last name is Masaki because you take your mother's last name in Japan, not your father's. Aye was supposed to marry her brother (Yosho) but fell in love with her great-nephew (Tenchi). Yes, this is in-breeding, but the Jurai royal family does this on purpose because they want Jurai Power to stay in their family. If the family members married each other, then only the family would be able to have Jurai Power. Marrying outside of the family spreads the power, which they don't want. It's nothing new. Once upon a time, most of the royal families in Europe were all related to each other and married each other. I think the leader of Germany during World War One was so inbread, one of his arms wouldn't work. Oh, and Misaki isn't really Yosho's mom. Maybe more like a step-mom.

When I first heard about the Daredevil movie, I didn't think it'd be that bad. I mean, has anyone ever heard of a bad movie based off of a popular comic? (Okay, so there was that one Fantastic 4 movie, but throw me a bone).

Man, you guys are cruel! You talk like it was the worst movie ever! (How soon we forget Mario Bros.) While I did find a few things wrong with the movie, still liked it. I mean, it was a lot better than I had feared. Shaggy and Scooby were great. 'nuff said I was disappointed with Velma, though. She was good sometimes, but her voice sorta trailed off from Velma to "generic nerd." Daphne... I'll leave that one alone. Freddy's performance as Fred was pretty good. (SPOILER) The commercials made him look dumb because they were playing footage from when he was possessed. Then there's what you all complained about... Scrappy Doo. Am I the only person here who didn't like Scrappy to begin with?! He was annoying! (SPOILER) Scrappy went evil from an ego trip. He got revenge on Scooby because his own beloved uncle gave him the boot and kicked him out of the van in the middle of nowhere! It's just like all of R. Kelly's old fans burning his records. When someone you practically worship betrays you, you tend to hate them a little. If anything, I'm disappointed with the fact that there was no mention of Scooby Dum or Flimflam. I loved those two.

When it comes down to his new songs, I like "Butterflies." Other than that, I don't really like his new stuff.
Originally posted by Defcon5 They didn't explain anything that happened in great detail.
I agree. They told you what someone was doing, but why they were doing it and why it was good or bad wasn't really explained. I bet the answer can all be found on the cutting room floor, with all the deleted scenes.

Well, I saw the movie and it was about as good as I expected. It's just my opinion, but I think the first one was better, though

Did you ever wonder why King Kai only taught Goku the kaioken? I mean, Goku wasn't his only student. He could've taught it to Yamcha, Tenshinhan, or Piccolo. Come to think of it, if he always knew how to use Instant Movement, why didn't he ever teach that to anyone?

"Bad" has to be one of my all-time favorite songs of his. Any song he released from the "Dangerous" album or before that was pure brilliance. I can't name one crappy song be made before "Invincible" "Too high to get over / Too low to get under..."

It's a crying shame. Some people shouldn't be allowed to have children. There really is no excuse for what she did; none. And then she had the nerve to not even take responsibility for what happened.

I think the electronic voice in the theme song is sending subliminal messages to our brains. The show is annoying, but I can't get the theme song out of my head!

Fawlty Towers... I think I might've seen that one once or twice. What was it about?

Okay, let's look at the clues. My guess would be that the slogan means the villains want the dragon balls to take over the universe. Also, "theirs" means there could be more than one villain. How many DBZ villains came in groups or pairs and which ones wanted the dragon balls? The Saiyans? Freeza and his military? Oh no, Garlic Jr. and his crew! On the other hand, if Fox was smart (or at least "not stupid") they'd make up their own villains, in fear of ruining a DBZ movie or saga. Then again, this is Fox, so you never know. Yeah, the picture looks good, but that's just a graphic-rich banner. After all, Mortal Kombat Annilation looked good in the previews, too, but we know how that movie turned out...

Oops! You mean I shouldn't have made this thread? Ah, great. Excuse me while I look over the rules again. :(

Hmm.... has anybody else noticed how her hair likes to change length drastically? Like, watch the episode where she takes care of Tenchi's baby cousin. Then look at the episode with Dr. Clay. How does she keep all of that hair inside of her hat? Then again, she is the greatest scientist in the universe! :D

Then it's agreed. Mr. Bean and Monty Python are the best comedy shows ever! Queen Asuka has a good point. American comedy seems to be the exact same stuff over and over. Meanwhile, British comedies are unpredictable and completely insane. Has anybody here seen the Black Adder movie where he goes back in time to all of the other Black Adder series? That has hilarious when he punched out Shakespeare and the Black Adder series with The Queen has always been my favorite.

I always thought Little Washu was the funniest character in Tenchi Muyo. She's the only one who actually cracked jokes on purpose. One moment she'll be the most mature person on the show (next to Katsuhito), and the next she'll be more childish than Sasami (who isn't all that childish, when you think about it.) She tends to explain things in a deep, serious voice, but always finishes it off with a high, funny voice. And her mini-Washu puppets are funny, too. Yeah.

Does anybody else here like these british comedies? Red Dwarf The Black Adder Monty Python Come on, I know somebody in here at least likes Monty Python.

Actually, my geography is just horrible. I have no idea how large the planet Earth is. I said "hundred" out of pure guesswork. My point is that no one knows if Earth's dragon balls scatter by a set distance, a random distance, or a distance relative to the planet they're on. An example of a "set" distance would be if the one-star ball always flies 3,000 miles away from where the wish was made. If the balls have a "set" distance, then finding them in the Room shouldn't be as hard as you make it out to be, because the balls will only scatter "X" miles away. And chances are, "X" will be slightly shorter than the circumference of the Earth. (and it doesn't take that long for Goku to fly around the Earth) However, if the distance they fly away is relative to the size of the planet, then the balls would scatter through the Room of Spirit and time forever, because it has no size. Its size is neverending. If the balls scatter at a random distance, then there's no way of knowing if my idea would work. So unless someone knows if the balls scatter at a set, random, or relative distance, none of us can necessarily say we're right.

eeeiiiihhhhh Bad phrasing. Why are we so concerned with the dubbing? The DVDs will likely be subtitled, too.
