Maybe the reason Goten is still seven in the Buu saga would have to be that the Buu saga began around the month of Goten's birthday. And yes the only time he could be conceived would be teh ten days before the Cell Games. Chi-Chi (insert your own joke) was probably happy the virus didn't kill Goku.=)
-
There's also Paikon's(Paikuhan or whatever his name is) race and all the dead guys. And don't forget the Kai's (Kaioshins. Am I the only who uses dubs on this forum?).
-
Goku, a test tube-baby? Maybe all the characters were. Where is everyone's mama. Are they all dead?
-
I wish they would have left Zechs dead as a doornail. I know Zechs is my favorite character but getting rid of hte guy and bringing him back was not a smart move. It's like Gundam DBZ. And I don't think there is a reason to continue GW. The Gundams are gone too and no other Mobile Suits were ever built again. Who would be the villain? A ninety year old Treize corpse.

Could somebody explain Yugi's whole role for me. I haven't seen all of Tenchi in Tokyo so I don't know much about it. Also what happens to her? Did she die?
-
I think who's strongest threads are allowed. We have like three or four in the Digimon forum now and they haven't been closed. But anyway I go with Tenchi. He has threee Lighthawks wings which really kick butt.
-
The only thing I don't like about Kagato is they keep killing him off. He's died twice and still comes back. I also liked Kain mostly because of his awesome look

It looks like a mix of Sasami and Ryo-oh-ki. FREEEEEAAAAKKKKYYYY. In a cool way
Originally posted by Rick Hunter :) Well that wasn't the only person from a power ranger to do a dubbing job in an anime! For those of you who remember Adam that Johnny Young Bosh I believe was his name played in the power rangers first show, actually did the voice acting in the re-dub special edition of Akira! He infact played the voice of Tetsuo! ;)
Actually Johnny Yong Bosch did the voice for Kaneda not Tetsuo. Tetsuo was done by, the voice of Tai from Digimon and Yamagato was obviously done by the voice of Joe, also from Digimon.

Anime Which anime would look best as a live action movie?
Omar Harris replied to Juu's topic in Otaku Central
I think Frieza or Cell would actually look cool as the villains. As for the characters, some will be pretty easy to make look real. Yamcha, Tien, Choazu, and Krillen although I can't imagine a real man without a nose. Vegeta and Goku will be a nightmare, and Gohan won't be so bad they don't go with the hairstyle that looks like Goku's (his first hairstyle). Other than hairstyles I think it would be awesome to see the character's move for real. I just hope the story and characters are a least a little bit( ok a lot a bit)more developed. What would make a great live movie though would be Digimon if and only if they get teh right people for everything, script,. cast, and director. They have to have Titanic's entire production crew to make it really cool. I'd be interested in doing that. I once heard Disney was going to do a live Sailor Moon movie that takes place in Beverly Hills. what's u[p with that. Tenchi and Outlaw Star would also be great live movies. -
What about Akira. I'm sure many people will answer to that so I say. Akira is pretty philosophical when you get past the violence. The ending is just, well, one word: WHOA

Have yoou ever noticed that pretty much none of the characters' mothers are revealed? Wheres Queen Vegeta and who is Videl's mom and Chi-Chi's mom (even though I know both are dead)
Originally posted by Solid Snake As it seems everyone has contributed their knowledge accordingly to everything else you said, I suppose that I will fill you on in this. Furiza was never going to be the last saga. I have a feeling that, to make a better story, Toriyama used his writing skills to make the ending more dramatic to make it seem like there was going to be nothing else...and then there was. I was once told, however, that due to the popularity of the anime, another saga was added on; the saga you curently know as the Majin Buu saga. Toriyama had planned for the Cell era to be the end of Dragonball Z, but when it ended, it just didn't feel right to him. Therefore, he started a new saga seven years in the future to pick up on the old, but was able to take it to a new level due to the time switch. :blah:
It's sad that the Frieza series didn't end it all. I hated the Cell story. It's like Toriyama ran out of ideas because he made the Frieza series so good. THe Majin Buu storyline is pretty good but I haven't seen it all yet. Sorry if I am off topic.

How are Treize Kushrenada, Dorothy and Duke Dermale related. I heard once that Treize was the Duke's brother and another time that the Duke was Treize's uncle

What anime do you think is the most pointless? And do you think that violence, nudity, etc. in extra amounts is used only for shock value (The oh-wow I didn't know you could do that in a cartoon)? Why?
-
I hope this doesn't get closed but let me ask you this. What anime series or movie (besides Evangelion even though I haven't seen it (shame on me)) left you just completely stumped? Has anyone seen Blue Submarine no. 6. Now that left me in the wind as far as plot goes. What anime do you think is the most philosophical and why? What Anime makes you think wwwwaaaayyyyyyy too much?

Dragon Ball Z is just an example of early American TV series. What testosterone driven boy didn't like to wake up in the morning to see Transformers or G.I.Joe. It's just food for the violent show. I love Dragon Ball Z but even I am not blind enough to not notice the flaws. It has potential plots that lack the kick they need to be cool, the main characters a moron in most cases, no romance (Vegeta and Bulma was no out of no where, which is a no-no even if Trunks was cool.), hours upon hours of pointless violence that goes nowhere, extremely long powering up scenes, etc. I could go on pointing out the shows flaws but I won't. Maybe I can start another thread for that topic (if the mod will let me. PLEASE). But then again most American companies would be nowhere without DBZ or Pokemon. With DBZ its sort of a love-hate thing. You either like the show or you don't. The animation is cool and some of the characters look great even if simplistic, not even thing anime has to be super-advanced-mecha or whatever. After all that's why Akira took ten years to finish. I do admit that DBZ was one of my first (Project Ako vs Battle 1 and 2 waas my official first anime) but I wasn't one to get into the show and think I knew everything. I loved it in the simpler days when everyone contributed. Now its super saiyan this, super saiyan that, oh look Goku has a new move...great. Or oh look Krillin's dead again. Sob. Let's go get the dragon balls. Goku does all the work and the other cool characters (especially Tien and Yamcha) are either weaklings or just not there anymore. Some characters are well developed like Vegeta but they are few and in between. And don't let me start on the villains. As for Dragon Ball Z not being a classic, it depends on your opinion. I believe most fans will still have it go down as one of the classics but I agree that it is not as great as AKIRA (AWESOME) or Vampire Hunter D(AWESOME) unless you compare the actual violence or attraction factors (which for Americans, plot is not one of).

Did anyone get the ending to Blue Submarine no. 6. That was so lame for such a good show. And I was sort of lost afterwards. And the ending to Digimon 02. Don't let me get started on that. *spoiler Myotismon is revealed as the main villain comes back as MaloMyotismon, is killed by the Happy thoughts of all children and everyone on Earth now knows about DW and has a Digimon partner. The DD all have successful careers most of which don't fit with teh characters (Matt is an astronaut, Sora a fashion designer) and Matt marries Sora. Damn them. I liked the ending to Tenchi Univers or at least the last two episodes. The actual final scenes weren't great but hey. *Spoiler: Ayeka should have gotten him instead of Ryoko and I am tired of Kagato being teh villain even if his fights with Tenchi are cool And I thought the ending to Gundam Wing was cool. But like most I was disappointed by Endless Waltz's ending to an extant. *Spoiler The G-Boys blow up the Gundams and all weapons on Earth. Afterwards there are no more Mobile Suits, not even Gundams and peace is achieved. And Zechs should have stayed dead for teh dramatic effect.

The manga kick so much more booty than the movie. It is so much longer and more in depth and has a crap load of characters missing in the movie who are very well developed. The ending in both the movie and comic is kind of difficult to understand but I love it.

Anime does anyone draw thier own anime?
Omar Harris replied to DBZanimeFreak3's topic in Otaku Central
I do draw a lot of anime. I haven't drawn in ages and I can't seem to do enough action poses or good sizes to make a comic or cartoon but I can draw pretty decently. I once made up my own RPG cast a while ago and I'm starting on another right now. -
Anime Which anime would look best as a live action movie?
Originally posted by Siffen Least? DBZ by far, why? it impossible to make it look good, it just can't work, massively powerful flying guys with spikey hair, against aliens with antenas and tails and smooth shiny skin? it can't be done in real life.
Sorry to burst your bubble here but Fox has already picked up the rights to do a live Dragonball Z movie. They're even thinking about doing it as a trilogy*shudders*. It's also been reported that Akira will be turned into a live action movie as well. Akira isn't so bad live. It is a great story and would do well if they have the best (BEST) filmmakers like James Cameron or Steven Speildburgh. I think Akira should be a live miniseries rather than a movie that way we can get the whole story, including Tetsuo's takeover of Neo-Tokyo.*THE BEST PART OF THE COMIC ITSELF* -
Does somebody have a picture of Ryo-ohki's human form? I've never seen that and it would be much appreciated
-
Kagato was so cool and calm which is why I believe he is the most interesting. And he was sadistic o boot.

Anime So Does Tenchi Ever Get With Anyone????
Omar Harris replied to SSJ Gotenks ok's topic in Otaku Central
I agree with Tenchi getting Tsunami. It would be a big surprise twist that would really give ht show something to talk about -
I've been fitting episodes into the same post to cut down the number of post and adding more stories. Thanks for your comments. And by the way Mist, I'm all man. I'M A SEXY MAN. lol j/k:wigout:
