The only manga in my ever-growing collection of comic books is Akira, in all six volumes of Dark Horse Comic's recently released "Phone-book" size mangas. If I want to read manga, I just read what Barnes and Noble has, right there in the store, rather than buy them. I may become a serious manga reader someday, but Marvel and DC are always number one on my list.

DJ Sammy's "Heaven", "Castles in the Sky", and "I see through you" are my current faves, if you calls those techno.

I have the site for Sentai Sanctorum. This has every ranger sentai and a list of differences between them and their American counterparts http://rovang.org/sentai/
Originally posted by Endymion I think NERD/The Neptunes (ha! I think of Jabberjaw everytime I say that) are very talented music producers, but frankly I'm a little tired of Pharell singing. Still, they're one of my favorite producing groups
I know what you mean about Jabberjaw. There was an episode of Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law where he was suing the Neptunes for taking credit for the Amazing Chan clan's music. lol. Seriously, I know the Clipse from "Grindin" and "Gangsta Lean" (was that a really old song? I don't know but I keep thinking there might be another "Gangsta Lean" but that's just idiotic me) since I don't really listen to a lot of non-mainstream rap as opposed to mainstream. I've heard some of the Neptunes' beats on other songs but nothing made by N.E.R.D song-wise.
(right up there with Timbaland and Missy)
In my opinion, very few producing groups are as cool as Missy and Timbaland.lol. I love their beats.

A little off-topic here: Is there a limit as to much downloaded media (not just MP3s but videos as well) you can have on your PC? Anyways, I have about maybe 517 MP3s but that's barely half my list.

You know something I just found out at Sentai Sanctum: The Red Battalizer armor (PRiS) and the armor that the TF Red ranger and Quantam Ranger wear don't exist in the Japanese versions. I would have figured them to have that. I don't know about Leo's armor from Lost Galaxy but I do think Cole's does in the *** version. Some of the armor they give the Red Rangers is cool (Cole's is the best in my opinion) and some of it is just...weird. (Quantam Ranger has roller blades on his.)

Thanks man. I have to see teh movie again, for some of the little things. If you don't mind, I have some trivia for any other fans that come to this thread: 1. Sam Raimi, AoD director, produced Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess, both of which star Bruce Campbell in the same recurring role. Name his character. 2. What sci-fi classic did the words for the magic words Ash had to say for the correct book come from? 3. What other Sam Raimi/Rob Tapert produced live TV show did Bruce Campbell star in, as an American superhero fighting against Napolean? Bonus: What famous midget actor played Napolean? 4. What happened to Ash's hand? 5. How did Ash's evil self come to life?

RiD and Armada don't compare to Beast Wars and the original, IMO. RiD is interesting but a bit "kid-friendly" for my taste. SkyBite was a great character until they turned him into a goofball. But I do love teh spin they did with Ultra Magnus' personality. I always though UM was a bit of a jerk despite how kind he has proven himself to be (watch the way he acts when he has the Matrix of Leadership in the movie). And I'm pretty sure he has some pent up anger after Hot Rod was revealed to be the one who would open the Matrix and "light our darkest hour" and not him (I would be). RiD took that to a whole new interesting level. I find it wierd that he and Prime were brothers though. The RiD Decepticons were just as classic as teh originals, and we finally saw Galvatron again. I dislike the small role given to the Spy Changers (who included the RiD version of Ironhide), but I do like those little "gems" they put in the show (Grimlock was a part of the build team. The Decepticons resemble the Combaticons from G1 but their combined form is Ruination, not Bruticus, and the RiD version of Fortress Maximus). I despise the ending. It reminds me too much the equally horrible ending to Digimon 02, were teh feelings of kids save the world. Kids could stop Fortress Maximus with their feelings and gave Omega Prime a Rainbow Sword to defeat Galvatron. I also do not like the idea of the characters having to call out the names of their weapons and attacks. And though the Diaclone and Microman toys that the original Transformers were based on were designed by the Japanese, I can't get used to the overly bulky designs given to any of the characters in RiD or Armada, with the exception of Scourge, who looks exactly like a black G1 Optimus Prime (fitting since his Japanese name is Black Convoy and Prime's is Fire Convoy). Armada is an improvement. The teams are rather small though (3 Autobots, four Decepticons) and they brought back Starscream and Cyclonus. But Cyclonus is a cowering, butt-kissing wimp, and Starscream hasn't displayed any of his trademark deception, with the brief exception of his first obtaining of a Mini-Con. Once again the Bots are too bulky for my taste, though I like the "Battlebase Prime form" a bit. The show has better animation than RiD but the story line is too Pokemon-esque with every character trying to gain a Mini-Con to be more powerful. Why would anyone like Megatron or Prime need a tiny little robot to get more power anyways? All-in-all "Beast Wars" (the CGI version by Mainframe) and its spin-off "Beast Machines" (though greatly despised by most Transfans) are my favorites of all the TF series.

I'll give some of these a shot but I'm not entirely sure. 3. What were the words that had to be spoken exactly? Klaaktu, Barada, Nikto 4. What instrument did the chinese skeleton play? Flute 5. What happened in the "original" ending? Ash is transported to an alternate future 6. Who plays Ash (simple)? Bruce Campbell 7. What are the two weapons Ash uses? Shotgun and Chainsaw 8. How many tries did it take for Ash to choose the right book? Two 9. What did one of the little Ash people stab in to Ash's foot? Scissors, I think

Naw, you didn't miss it. ABC played Inside Stuff and Football in PRWF's place, again. You know Devi, you mentioned something about how cozy Goldar and Scorpina were. Well I found a site that has every PR sentai, including those that never made it to the states. In the original Goldar and Scorpina's original characters were married and had a baby together who never made it in the state's version. Also, Rito has a human form that is dressed as a punk rocker and there are quite a few Japan-exclusive Ranger teams that, most of whom have outfits that look so much better than anything brought to America.

Huntress' origin in the show Birds of Prey is the same as that of the Huntress from Earth 2. That Huntress was wiped out of existance in a storyline calledCrisis on Infinite Earths with a group of other heroes after all the parallel universes became one. The current Huntress in the comics is a school teacher and the daughter of a Mafia kingpen. She has no powers in the comics but uses weapons and athleticism, just like Batman. Dinah in the show is actually Dinah Lance, who in the comics, is a superhero called Black Canary. Her mother was the original BC, and she took over when her mom died. She used to have a sonic scream but she lost it and just uses her athleticism and martial arts skills. The show takes a lot of liberties with the comics. Oracle does exist, but in the Birds of Prey comic, she works with Black Canary, not Huntress. I like the show and the liberties it took, especially with the whole metahuman storylines, but it sounds like something out of X-men rather than Batman. Hopefully we see Harley Quinn (Joker's girlfriend in the jester outfit) in uniform.

Cartoon Network was never designed for kids because not all Cartoons are for kids. Adult Swim is technically "adult" because there are themes that are designed specifically for adults. Do you thinks kids watch Space Ghost Coast to Coast and understand most of those jokes there? They just can't have anything 100% uncensored due to the fact that it is network television. This is a good move in my opinions to root out kids and keep them from watching. I'm sorry if anime fans have no way to watch or can't catch their favorite shows but it is "Adult" Swim for a reason.

Its been awhile since I've seen WWE, but that "Kane" video was...uhm...disturbing, and a bit funny at the same time. But its nothing compared to all those jokes D-Generation used to make of their enemies in the past (The Corporation and The Nation) To tell the truth, I hate this new edge KAne and the Undertaker have. The whole biker persona, and Kane's new attitude. What happened to the voice box? the man from the darkside edge? I miss those days. Also, what is the story behind Undertaker and this other chick? Edit: Though I live in San Antonio, I never really liked Shawn Micheals but I hope he beats the crap out of HHH, sooner or later. HHH used to be so cool, now I can't stand him.

Christina Aguilera:Slut or expressing her Talent?
Omar Harris replied to Rancid's topic in Noosphere
Christina was good in her debut. She is becoming more sexually liberating, which although is enticing, it also makes her look trashy in some of her better videos. -
A new poem I did. It may be crap since I rushed it but that's my fault. If you don't know, it is about a drunk. It has nothing to do with anybody real. Just a spur of teh moment thing. Thump, thump, thump, thump The monster waits patiently to come out His host enters the house, staggering Its body filled with the drink of evil Thump, thump, thump, thump The monsters heart pounds constantly While everything its host sees begins to spiral While a young women picks up her things Tears fill her eyes as he bends one his knees Praying for her company Thump, thump, thump, thump She walks out, and the monster?s heart pounds again And when she is gone, the monster comes out The host lifts everything he can get his hands on And tosses them around like the wild beast he now is And when the monster is gone, the host sits down Puts his head in his hands and lets his troubled mind go blankly to rest

Most rock bands I listen to, I had never heard of myself, but that's probably because I had never been the biggest rock fan until now. Among the most notable were Korn and Limp Bizkit, but that was years ago when I was first introduced to them. yay, my 500th post.

The Mortal Kombat series was great during the mid-90's simply because there were few games that were like them. I see MK2 as being the height of the Mortal Kombat craze. Then the first movie arrived, and though not the best thing, it was interesting. After all, who actually watches action movies, looking for a plot? Well, okay, maybe I do but so long as the special effects and action are good, I see no problem with it. I hate Mortal Kombat Annihilation, because it was just "Fight, fight, fight. Save the world, fight. We're a family. Fight." Mortal Kombat 3 had some bad effects, and the comedic finsihing moves were horrible. Plus none of the new characters were very memorable besides the Cyber-Ninjas. Though 4 improved that, it still made little improvement on the series. I still can't wait until DA debuts and hopefully changes all this.

Christina Aguilera:Slut or expressing her Talent?

I completley agree with you User Name. As much as we wish they would stop dressing the way they do to better serve as role models, its their decision, whether its self-expression or a money-making scheme. -
That's not all. Cartoon Network is moving its adult swim block to weekdays, with anime appearing at midnight after the comedy shows. I've only seen a few episodes of Chaotic Century, though I've seen most of the other show, with the Liger and Bit. Zoids isn't my favorite show on Toonami, but I do like it and I wish Toonami would stop replacing everything with Dragonball Z episodes that everyone and their grandma has seen mutliple times. If anything, they should finish DBZ, put Zoids back on, get some new shows, or show some cool, old shows that haven't appeared on there yet (Beast Wars would probably be a good candidate).

I'm torn between my decisions. I want to say yes, and I want to say no. It would be good to do it right, but then what if your life goes on and something very good happens? If you relive that moment, you would probably have never moved on, and thus, you would not have the happiness you have now. But if you do relive the moment, you have what you always wanted, unless that thing is not all you expected and you are only happy for a moment. I guess I'll say no. I'd rather have happiness now, rather than go back and be happy for a shor time.
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine And shadow- :therock:
Aww, we can't be serious all the time you know. Anyway, being serious now, not everyone looks good bald, as someone else stated. There are some people who just can't appear with hair, no matter how you envision them (Vin Diesel, Patrick Stewart, etc.) It seems the bald look has either turned into the new "mohawk" or the look of today's "sex symbols" (Diesel).
Originally posted by Sere Tuscumbia You are a sad, sad person, you know that? Who should care if they're able to drink, or smoke, or wear clothes that make them look like a one-cent crackwhore, the thing is they shouldn't. What kind of role model are they? That gives off a "it's ok to have sex when you're not married" and a "it's ok to walk around prostituting yourself to thousands of strangers" kind of idea to kids nowdays. I don't care if they're old enough, if they had any brains in their head, they wouldn't do it anyway! Ranting done.
I never said I agreed with their decisions. You just have to know that no matter how much anyone disagrees with the direction they take their image, its their decision and no one can do anything other than either agree with it or rant about it. I said I agreed with everyone else about the image, although I still like both of them, but still, these are grown women and no matter what you think about it, they can do what they want when they want. Why is it that everyone is on their case about the way they dress now? Both have been the way they are from the beginning. Remember Baby one more time and Genie in a Bottle? While Britney was dressed like a slutty catholic girl, Christina was baring her flesh as well. Like everyone else, I don't agree with this turn, although I still think both are very beautiful, but it is their decision, not the fans. As for being role models: No one said they were in the music business to be role models in the first place. In fact, no one goes into the music business to be role models, except maybe Christian and Gospel singers. They got in for the money and the achievement of a life-long dream, just like everyone else. It is not their obligation as singers to be role models. Their job is to make good music to attract a fan-base. And since when has dressing like a Catholic School girl with an exposed navel and dancing around the hallways with teen boys been the act of a "role model"? I'm not trying to sound like a jerk but we can't make them stay "sugar-coated" teenagers forever. The parents have the responsibility to teach kids the how to dress and conduct themselves properly, not Britney or Christina. -
Besides English, and ebonics if that counts lol, I speak very good Spanish and I am currently learning German.

Hey, bald is beautiful. lol I should know. I used to be bald, and sexy as hell. lol Just kidding about that. I guess the Michael Jordon look is catching on a few years later than expected.
