Originally posted by Juuthena ...At least at some music awards. That swan dress was really cute. ^^
I remember that I think it was at the Academy Awards, because I think I remember Steve Martin (the host that year) making fun of it (or maybe I'm mistaken.)
Originally posted by treton_noir Bjork is rad-daddy as crap.
OK, I really have to ask, what does that mean? I don't listen to Bjork's music, but I do remember watching a movie with her in it (or at least parts of it). I believe it was called Dancer In the Dark . It was really depressing and boring if I recall.
3. One song that gets me very emotional has to be A Tool to Scream by Zao. The lyrics are in my sig.
4.
Originally posted by wrist cutter Vocalist: Hyde. Guitarist: Ken. Bassist: Tetsu. Drummer: Sakura. OMG! That is a band. My dreams have come true. Go listen to L'Arc~en~Ciel you suckers.
LOL! Wrist Cutter you have made me laugh, thank you. My dream band would be if ZAO(R.I.P.) came back and played at my birthday party. (the last part is my dream not my dream band.)
5. Okay, if any of you have read my signature lately, you should already have checked out this band (but if you haven't there is still hope... maybe.) Anyway, this CD has probably been my most anticipated so far this year, and I have to say that it does not disappoint. It is a metal album so if you don't like metal or screaming than you won't like them. Anyway, this CD is amazing. It's a bit short (approx. 37 min.), but it still feels like an entire album of music, plus I've heard shorter( much shorter). As, for the music the guitars are very technical and precise, the drummer does a great job and handles the double bass very well, and the vocals are great for metal vocals. Even though it's constant screaming throughout the album (except on track 9 which I will go into in more detail in a second), the vocalist shows immense talent. Because It's not just a stagnat high-pitched scream or low-growl, but he switches effortlessly between both of them and even throws in a few other types. Plus his screams fit very well with the music. I really think that people should check out this band, if you want you can download two of their songs, Habeaus Corpus and We Bury Our Dead At Dawn , at MP3.com (the legal way to get music). Or you can probably find their CD at Hot Topic. I like every song on the album but the biggest stand out has to be Track 9. It's a wonderful metal version of the Rolling Stones Paint It Black . I don't think I would have liked it as much if it was just constant screaming but the vocalist pulls of a very decent singing voice and makes this song about 50/50 singing /screaming, which ends up making it suprisingly catchy. Go buy their CD!!!
6.
Originally posted by CalmLikeABomb Grave of the Fire Flies. Jesus christ...
I didn't know that Jesus was in that movie... (actually I haven't heard of the movie so I wouldn't know either way, but your tone was unwelcome.)
Originally posted by Vertigo Donnie Darko...
Was I the only one who didn't find that movie depressing at all , (in fact I found it kind of uplifting). But I was very good either way. Anyhoo, the last movie I remember crying at was probably Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (please don't laugh), but that was a very long time ago.
7. It's probably my favorite show currentely on TV, but I never know what time it's on.
8. I'm pretty sure it had to do with him saving Trinity, but beyond that I think I'll let the third movie answer.
9.
Originally posted by CalmLikeABomb In my opinion, if you consider yourself even remotley cool, you should listen to them.
I guess I'm not remotly cool.
10.
Originally posted by TarMeg1989 Well, I've never thought of the lead singer with a horrible voice. I like the 1st one better too because it is a lot louder and more swearing than the second one...
Oh yeah, all those swear words always make me want to come back and listen to them again (I hope you noticed the sarcasm). No offense against you but I think swearing in music sucks, and to like music because it "has more swear words", is a very idiotic reason to like music. However, you're entitled too like things for idiotic reason, so I won't try to change your mind.
11. Does it bug any one other than me that this seems to be a big RE rip-off? It's too early to judge but still the whole, "virus that can make people and animals zombies" thing, is just a little too similar.
12. Aren't they on The Militia Group? Anyhoo, yeah i've heard a little of them, they aren't bad, but I don't think I would buy their. I'm just not into their style but I think they do it well.
13. The funny thing about my two favorite N64 games is that I don't own any of them. And they are... Perfect Dark: It's just an awesome game. Starfox 64: I didn't really realize that this was one of my favourite games until a few days ago when I was thinking about it. I was thinking how I REALLY want to borrow it from you Daniel if you ever read this, especially since you told me that you let some FREAKING kid erase all my high scores. Anyhoo, I really like this game
14. I never got anything from a band but I once git to feel dry blood on the head of Timm From Underoath (a band that many of you probably don't care about). It was a pretty fun experience.
15. There are many local bands I know of but one band that my friend used to be in sticks out the most. They are called Numberonegun. I doubt any of you have heard of them, but the did get signed and last I heard they're CD is being carried in Best Buy. Another band that I really enjoyed that was kind of local was Ember. Their town was about an hour and a half away, but they did come to my town a lot before they broke up. The cool thing is that their bassist wanted to countinue the band along with a few other members. So they formed the Beautiful Mistake and are now signed to The Milita Group. Their CD can be found at Hot Topic and just about any other store that features a good selection of underground bands. The rest of the local band in my area suck.
16.
Originally posted by The Vampire: Ed Kingdom Hearts was an average/mediocre game, that's it. It was way too short, and far too easy. The only thing that even made the game worth my time was the addition of
Sephiroth
as a special Coliseum boss battle. be one of the best fighting games ever, if not the best. Racing? I haven't been much of a racing game fan. But Gran Turismo has always been the best. So I'd get that if you want a racing game.
Am I the only person who found KH amazing. As for the shortness, WTF!, there is 65 hours (and counting) on my clock, which even though RPG's can do much better it is still Freakin long. GET KINGDOM HEARTS.

Mr Bungle

I've never actually heard MR. Bungle but, I do not like Mike Patton So I probably will not give them a chance.
18. I would much rather live in Dark City than the Matrix.
19. The two songs that best describe me are probably either "Single Handed Attempt At Revolution", by Training For Utopia, or, "colt .45" , by Stavesacre.
20. I listen to a little Metallica every once in a while because my friend is the biggest Metallica fan ever and he has gotten me to like them, but their St. Anger song, I must admit is crap. It seems to be their crappy shot at doing Nu Metal. As for the album in whole I cannot say because I have not heard it yet, but my friend (the biggest Metallica fan ever) is really enjoying it especially the first song.
21.
Originally posted by Fiasco Hardcore emo? Don't you dare say emocore, ugh, I detest that word. Underoath, Hopesfall, PTW, and FATA are all a hardcore/metalcore breed. Their lyrics aren't really emo-ish.
I also don't like the term emocore and I detest the term screamo, but I wanted to describe these bands (That have an emo music twist in there sound) to people who haven't heard of them before. Plus you must not have read the lyric's in Underoath's newest cd "The Changing of Times", because they are very emo like. P.s. emcore, emocore, emocore... (J/K).
22. Emo music has it's crappy points (Something Coporate) but there are many emo bands that actually have talent. And, I do like quite a few bands that are considered emo. Here are some ones I like: The Beautiful Mistake Noise Ratchet Dead Poetic Further Seems Forever Juliana Theory Thursday ect... Here are a few hardcore/emo bands I like: underOATH (new stuff) .hopesfall. Poision The Well From Autumn Too Ashes ect...
23. I'll whatch maybe like one or two shows each week, but really the only thing I really like is the Most Extreme Elimination Chalange. I think that it is one of the funniest things out there and the only good thing T.V. has too offer.
24. I myself am not too much in too the worship music scene. I do think that the whole worship music explosion is a bit blown-out of proportion (not to deter you from it if you find that you like it). I do believe that most of the bands out there have the right motives, but when I see that Time-Life has made a "Worship 4 Life" series, it seems to be just there to generate money. When that happens worship music becomes dumb and losses what it's all about, worshipping the Creator of the universe. As for curches arguing over contemporary vs. traditional, that just plain sucks. Because again it losses what worship music is all about, it becomes a battle between christains, and divides them. Instead christains shouldn't care if it's hymns or a rock and roll song, they should sing their heart out to God (because that's all that is important). Some good worship bands that you should check out are, Third Day, Delerious?, and Rock 'n Roll Worship Circus. Plus there are many other bands that have done some worship music such as The Newsboys, Michael W. Smith, and Skillet. Also, if you want to check out some worship music that's kind of old but has inspired much of today's worship music, check out some stuff by Rich Mullins.
