Discuss OtakuBoards Survivor: Game On! - Mog House [E]
Solo Tremaine replied to Sandy's topic in Theater
[COLOR=#503F86]I was going to ask about that, heh. I'm not sure it should be a weapon; I can't see there'd be any use for it aside from battering potential animals for food or irritating the other characters with it... but I'm stuck for other ideas. Perhaps a book of some sort- encyclopadeia/sacred tome/magazine subscription? I really can't think of anything else that'd be of practical use, other than ladders/ropes and stuff like that. Although considering the speed and heights that most characters can jump anyway... Bleh, I'm bad at stuff like this ^_^;[/COLOR] -
Discuss Pokemon: Serpentizor Reborn Underground [PG-VLS]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
[color=#503f86]Since you and Ozymandius represent the Legion, I can't see why you can't, but there is something you need to bear in mind (to be read by Gavin and Ozymandius only for the moment, please): [spoiler]The disappearances are being orchestrated by Legion Pokemon- the bodies of the humans are being used as fuel for Serpentizor's rebirth.[/spoiler] Also, people are jumping the gun a bit by heading to Navel Island already, I feel. I've only been back home for about five minutes so I haven't read what everyone's posted in detail, but I haven't even had time to fully explain the situation of the plot yet. Um... I can't really suggest doing anything other than further character introduction yet and I'll update the RPG in a little while; I'm feeling rather dizzy all of a sudden so I can't think straight.[/color] -
[COLOR=#503F86]Right, I've started the RPG. Sorry for it being so late, heh. I wanted to get it up today at the very latest as I'm going to be in London as of a few hours' time and won't be back till Saturday or Sunday, depending on various things. Either way, I'll do my best to check and reply to the thread but otherwise you're free to do as you like. One thing I will say is about the Guardian's chamber- it's very lavishly decorated, and is reminiscent of a marble temple with seats for hundreds of Pokemon around a central stage where addresses are given from. Various tablets and artifacts line the walls; the head of the Guardians is an incredibly old and powerful Alakazam. If you've any other questions/worries, please post them here.[/COLOR]

Reports were everywhere. Humans sat glued to their television screens, hungry for more information over the sinister events unfolding at Navel Island. The rash of disappearances clawed at their minds, and the images on the screens clawed at their eyes. This was the realisation of an ancient revenge. The fear had always been there- people glossed over it with superficial victories and advances in technology. But now, everything was due to change... * * * [COLOR=#503F86]Rukario bounded across the tree branches with all the energy he could muster; he'd been travelling all night to try and reach the Guardian's Council Room after the massive psychic signal yesterday evening. It was so huge, so urgent... something must be deadly wrong. Even the stories he'd heard of other ancient beings been released somewhere on the planet, none of them sounded like they required this severe a calling. He leapt past a nest of Scythers and dropped to the forest floor; the forested mountain peak between Lavaridge and Verdanturf harboured the Guardians' meeting place where all emergency councils met. He could see the shallow cave opening up ahead. Suddenly, six muscular Sandslashes erupted form the ground ahead of him; he skidded to a halt inches from the nose of the leader, who gave him an irate stare. "Who goes there?" it barked. "Rukario, Guardian Hoenn Scout. I heard the call yesterday," he spluttered, trying to regain enough breath and composure to sound authoritative. "Fine," the Sandslash growled. "Get in there quick." The six sand-digging creatures leapt back into the ground and covered their tracks with perfect skill; it was as if the ground hadn't even been broken. Taking deep breaths, Rukario hauled himself up the mountainside and jumped into the cave.[/COLOR]

[color=#503f86]Krystal had been incredibly grateful to Lara for being someone with even the remotest sense of being sane and welcoming; while she didn't want to hold any unfounded prerequisites about the other contestants, it was hard not to when they all looked so alien. [i]"But I do make a habit of being thrown into unexpected situations,"[/i] she thought to herself, watching everyone else mingle around her. Her conversations all seemed to have been cut short by other people arriving, which was beginning to grate a little. After all, she was intending to come through this with much greater recognition than she already had. In a way (she told herself) she didn't feel like she needed to introduce herself to anyone, as much as it would have placated her slight feelings of insecurity; if people needed to speak to her, they would, and in the mean time she'd try and get the measure of people by listening to their conversations. It wouldn't be polite to use telepathy here. Suddenly, a white flash appeared directly in front of her. She stepped back slightly, and she saw a familiar bulk resting on his hands and knees, looking incredibly sick. Overcoming her instant thoughts of shock, she walked forwards and rested a supportive hand on his shoulder. "Heh, one of the greatest space pilots and the galaxy and you get motion sickness," she laughed, helping him to his feet. Fox's expression was an amusing mix of surprise, relief and embarrassment. "I wasn't prepared for that." Before Krystal had time to work out exactly what he wasn't prepared for, Mog flew over and gave his greetings. She watched Fox twirl the blue feather through his fingers and smiled.[/color]

[color=#503f86]Providing everyone can edit the remaining bits of various profiles, I'm looking to close sign-ups on Thursday/Friday, heh (depending how awake I am on either day). Thanks to everyone so far for the interest ^_^[/color] [color=#503f86][/color] [color=#503f86]Right, sorry for being late everyone- these last few days have been pretty busy. Anyway, you're all in- ^.^, you'll need to decide which of the two characters you want to use as your main focus- you're welcome to use either, heh.[/color] [color=#503f86][/color] [color=#503f86]I'll be starting the thread in a few minutes.[/color] -
[color=#503f86]The Bridge of the Great Fox was a surprisingly dull place to sit and wait. It's not even as if they were flying near any interesting planets. Just space, and a lot of it. The odd control panel bleeped and buzzed every now and then, and occasionally ROB would give a status update on the engines or a piece of complicated equpiment that nobody even knew the ship as equipped with. Apart from that, all Krystal had to occupy herself with were her thoughts of anticipation. She clicked her tongue. How long does it take to come through? How was it going to get here? Did anyone else know? She'd been hoping to keep it a surprise from everyone, although Peppy had asked why she'd rather conspicuously marked herself as '[i]Absent With Official Leave... Possibly[/i]' on the flight rota for the next three months. She'd never been asked about maternity leave before, and she'd made sure that Peppy would never ask her again. Suddenly, the door slid open, making her jump out of her seat and dash towards the entrant. Slippy braced himself, fearful of being bowled over. "A-ah! I've got a letter for you, Krystal!" He shot out a shaky arm towards her. In his toady fingers he clutched a small package with the OS:GO! logo emblazoned on its top-righthand corner. She let out a slight whimper of excitement and ripped the contents from its packaging. After a few tense seconds, she darted away. "I'm going away for a while, Slippy! Give my regards to everyone!" she called back. She was glad she'd already packed the Arwing. By the time she'd reached the hangar, it had occurred to her that she had no idea how she was actually going to ge there. She re-read the letter twice. "Then what's this [color=blue]blue feather[/color] for, then?" She had to admit, it was very pretty, and complimented her fur incredibly well. But it didn't seem to serve any practical purpose. She gingerly slotted it into her headband. Perhaps she'd left an important piece of information inside the packaging upstairs... "Oh, never mind about that," she grumbled to herself, retrieving her staff from the storage section of her Arwing. "So long as there's a portal or something I can tap my staff into, it shouldn't make any difference." She banged the staff's narrow end on the ground and a white glow erupted from its shaft, flowing down to both ends. She closed her eyes, and... * * * When she first opened them, she wondered if she'd made a mistake. Fiddling around with time and space travel can lead to some odd consequences, after all. After a few seconds of mild disorientation from the transportation and a few seconds more mild disorientation from the swirling blue enviromnent she was stood in, she walked briskly towards a form she recognised- Mog the Moogle. The small winged creature was flitting between the people who had already arrived, seemingly making sure that everyone was all right and that no fights had broken out. Krystal decided in very little time that there were some potentially very dodgy characters here. "Hi, Mog!" she cooed, brandishing her letter and blue feather at him. Mog clapped ecstatically. "Kupo to see you made it! And you have your item, very kupo." Krystal smiled, folding the letter and slotting it into a pocket in her waistcoat. "What happens now, Mog?" "Make yourself kupo-fortable. We're waiting for the rest to arrive, hee. Please make use of this time to get to know your fellow participants." She glanced around quickly at everyone around her. Most people seemed to be carrying weird-looking red swords or green gems- only two others had blue feathers. She noticed a rather slimy-looking man in a dirty green hooded top sidling up to her, so she immediately turned around and walked towards a woman dressed in similar attire to herself, also holding a blue feather. Taking a deep breath in, she began to wonder. Maybe she should have told someone that she was here...[/color]

Sign Up OtakuBoards Survivor: Game On! <rated PG with fantasy violence>
Solo Tremaine replied to Sandy's topic in Theater
[color=#503f86][b]Mog:[/b] Ku-u-po! Welcome to the interview! Please tell us your name. [b]Krystal:[/b] Hello there. My name's Krystal, and I'm from the planet Cerinia. At least... I was until it was destroyed. [b]Mog:[/b] That must have been awful, kupo! I'm really kupo to see you made it. [b]Krystal:[/b] Well, it's nice of you to say so! I know I'm glad to still be here. [b]Mog:[/b] I don't ku-ppose you have any pictures of the planet so we can see what it was like? [b]Krystal:[/b] No... we didn't have much in the way of modern technology. Lots of magic, but obviously not enough. Um... I do have some more recent pictures of me, though, if you'd like to see them? [b]Mog:[/b] Kupo, please! [b]Krystal:[/b] [url="http://www.otakuboards.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24714&stc=1"]This[/url] is me posing in my new uniform. Fox insisted I wear something more than [url="http://www.starfox-online.com/adventures/images/art/krystal.jpg"]what I'm used to[/url], in case... he didn't really explain why, actually. [b]Mog:[/b] They're kupo pics! When were they taken? [b]Krystal:[/b] Shortly after my escape from [Starfox Adventures] Dinosaur Planet. Once I joined the Great Fox I was landed (hah, so to speak) with this new uniform. I have a flight suit as well, but I don't like it. [b]Mog:[/b] What did you have to do there? [b]Krystal:[/b] Well, for the most part I did absolutely nothing. I was trapped inside a Krazoa Shrine crystal and hung in the air. I was trying to find my staff which had fallen down to the planet's surface a little while beforehand when things became... rather embarrassing! I suppose you could say I was exploring, in a Third-Person RPG sort of way. [b]Mog:[/b] Hee, kupo! Being trapped in crystals isn't fun, is it? I see you have your staff back now. What does it do? [b]Krystal:[/b] It does a variety of things- throw fire, shoot beams of light, enable me to jump incredibly high, and I can hit things with it. I'm quite a staff fighter, not that I get much of an opportunity to use it on the 'Fox. [b]Mog:[/b] Is that Fox the ship or Fox your crewmate? [b]Krystal:[/b] ...the ship, I mean. Um... [b]Mog:[/b] Aside from the kupo staff, do you have any powers of your own? [b]Krystal:[/b] A few! I'm telepathic, so I'm able to communicate with people I know over quite long distances, can sense when an anemy's nearby and can analyse weak points in the defences of various machines. I can talk to dinosaurs, too, and ride a Saurian airbike pretty well. [b]Mog:[/b] And why do you want to join the Kupo Ultimate Videogame Survivor? [b]Krystal:[/b] Well, I'm hoping that I'll be able to find some more clues about how and why my planet was destroyed. And... I was so fed up with taking a backseat in past adventures that I wanted to prove to myself (and everyone on my crew) that I was worthwhile. I don't feel free enough there. I mean, I'm not power hungry, but I'll not be reduced to a cheerleader! At least, that's my aim. [b]Mog:[/b] Ku-po! That's the spirit! Finally, can you summarise your personality for us? [b]Krystal:[/b] Oh, well... I'm always eager to show my strength and skill at something, but not so much as to be stupidly competetive about it. If there's something I can do, I'll make damn sure I do it. But um... I suppose having my planet destroyed has jaded me slightly and hardened me up; anyone who gets to know me should find me amicable and compassionate. I hate seeing living creatures being hurt... mostly. It depends on what their motives are. I mean, being telepathic means you can- [b]Mog:[/b] I'll have to kupo you there, Krystal. Sorry! We'll have more of a chance to kupo later, hee. Take care! [b]Krystal:[/b] Thanks, Mog. Bye![/color] -
[COLOR=#503F86]Personally, when I listened to their 'Best of' album in MVC, I wasn't very impressed by the vocals. A lot of people who share music tastes with me have said how good they are, and I was a little disappointed with what I'd heard there. Maybe a new lead vocalist will rekindle my interest in having another go, heh. I think that's quite a nice way to fire someone, if you're going to do it in such a high-profile situation.[/COLOR]

[color=#503f86]I'm sure I looked for this before and it wasn't there. I look tonight and there's three whole chapters! I'll admit that the feel of the first was much more exciting than those of the seocnd two, but I also understand that when you're introducing more characters and setting up bigger storylines, things can get a little dragged-out and lose pace in the process. I did love this bit, though: [quote name='^.^][font=Arial']He just hoped it wasn?t fatal, because, if it was? JJ could never live with himself. [/quote][color=#503f86][/color]A tiny play on words, but so clever. Just hit the right spot, that did ^_^ Great stuff, Josh. I'll keep reading; I'm really interested to see everything unfold. But don't forget to keep the gritty elements in, even when you're writing comedy, hehe ^_~[/font][/color]

Writing OtakuBoards: Enter the Net [PG]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Creative Works
[COLOR=#503F86]...is it all right to still post in here? *twiddles fingers* it's an old thread, but I don't think I'm quite finished yet... Well, it's not a new chapter per se, but it's something I've been wanting to put in for a long long time now. I'm always trying to think of new ideas to put into the story, but unfortunately I never seem to get the opportunity to write them down. Perhaps if I read everything through again I'll be inspired, heh. Anyway, here's a parody of the X-Japan song 'Crucify My Love', which I can't actually listen to seriously now because the parody lyrics fit it far too well ^_^; [b]Modify My Posts[/b] Modify my posts If the caps lock's on Modify my posts If it sets them straight Never knew Never thought " My font should be that color " Modify my posts If it should be that way Change the Quote tags Turn them inside out Bin the smileys They'll say good-bye Tried to learn tried to find The meaning of the site rules Where's the answer Is this bannable? Like a river flowing to the sea The HTML comes endlessly I know I can underline words No reason to cry Modify my posts... * repeat Til the vB tags shadows the text I'll be scrolling down and I will know I know I can clear the whole page Oh is it a crime to spam? Not much, but just so's you know I've not forgotten about this, hehe. The way I had this next chapter figured out, it might end up being quite timely, too...[/COLOR] -
How do you pronounce your username?
Solo Tremaine replied to DBZgirl88's topic in General Discussion
[COLOR=#503F86]My name's pretty simple, really. The 'Solo' bit is pronounced in exactly the way you would if you were addressing Han Solo (and if you actually [i]are[/i] addressing Han Solo, please give him my regards o_O; ), and the 'Tremaine' is 'Tre-', with the 'e' sound cut short, like at the beginning of 'escape'. It's not 'Tree'. And the -'maine' is just like the city, I think. Speaking of pronunciations, when René was called CrH way back when, I remember writing an itty joke in my OB fanfic: [QUOTE][color=#503f86]Elsewhere, Radaghast held a controller out to his companion, who was wearing the appearance of Vampire Hunter D. "CRH, would you-" "It?s CrH." He replied, taking the controller. Radaghast looked confused. "That?s? what I said." "No, you said CRH." CrH smiled. "It?s pronounced C[i]r[/i]H. There?s a difference." "Does it matter?" Radaghast shrugged, pressing the ?Start? button. "Not really." CrH counter-shrugged. "But it is my name." Dagger IX1 had been listening in, surprised that someone could actually pronounce ?CrH? in the first place when...[/color][/QUOTE][/self-plugging] I always wonder about how you pronounce usernames, and it can be quite a shock when you realise it's actually not what you expected it to be. I still have to convince myself that Sara's not pronounced 'Sah-ra' but 'Sair-ah'. If that makes sense...[/COLOR] -
Sign Up Pokemon: Serpentizor Reborn [PG-VLS]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
[color=#503f86]Cool beans stuff ^_^ [quote name='Lady Katana][size=1][color=#00008b]You've been hiding this from me. For shame, lol. [/color][/size']:p[/quote]The idea was originally for a fanfiction I tried to write back in 1999 but scrapped because I didn't find time to complete it. I figured everyone'd enjoy playing it out, though, and turned it into an RP yesterday evening ^_^ I was asked a question as to why Trainers/Team Rocket members were limited to two Pokemon each:- since some of the main characters are Pokemon themselves, each of the ones that the trainer has has the potential to be another playable character, and I didn't want anyone to feel or become swamped by the amount of creatures running about, heh. [b]By the way...[/b] I'm not saying people have to sign up as these, but it'd be nice to have them as characters anyway, and people are welcome to take them if they want to. They require a little responsibility to the plot, but not much: -Lugia (as a means of transport, and an important decision-maker in the Guardians' Council. So long as you can take into account how he/she is affected by events that unfold during the RPG, it should be fine.) -Mew/Mewtwo/any other powerful Psychic Pokemon (so that the Guardians have some way of communicating with the humans if they need to, like a sort of translator) If no-one wants to have them I'll use them as NPCs. Ideally, I'm looking for more Pokemon than humans, but we'll see how it turns out.[/color] -
The Orange Islands. Formed by volcanic activity thousands of years ago, most have been turned into luxury resorts or are Pokemon reserves dedicated to the preservation of unique species. However, aside from legends of the Beast from the Depths, there is another, far darker history to this area of the planet. * * * [i]Black clouds circled the skies over Navel Island. The high mountain in the centre seemed to sway slightly in the high winds, and the waves thundered onto the shore with brutal force. Observers in the research centre on Cleopatra Island watched with anxious intent as bits of the mountain began to peel away and crash into the sea, narrowly avoiding the buildings around its base. [/i] [i]One of the scientists jabbed in a phone number and twisted the cord nervously around her finger; all she wanted to know was that her husband was safe and under shelter enough to avoid being hurt. That would be enough- then he could come back tomorrow.[/i] [i]A startled man picked up the receiver.[/i] [i]"Jean?"[/i] [i]"Martin, are you all right? The mountain's collapsing!"[/i] [i]"It's fine, Jean. Well, I'm okay. Things are just getting a little breezy, that's all. I'll make sure to-"[/i] [i]As he was speaking, Jean became aware of a strange noise in the background- a high-pitched gurgling that began to escalate in volume and pitch.[/i] [i]"What's that noise?"[/i] [i]"What no-"[/i] [i]The phone went dead. Throughout the night, the storm continued. All they could do was watch and wait.[/i] [i]* * *[/i] A legacy so old and so great, it has never been recorded in human history. The only existing remnants of a dangerous past lie in strange artifacts buried in lost ruins. With all contact lost with Navel Island and its neighbour Cleopatra, the number of disappearances increasing and the skies growing darker by the hour, it is only a matter of time before he rises again... * * * [color=#503f86]I'm hoping for this to be a little different from normal Pokemon RPGs. I'll explain the plot a little more, heh. Years ago, before humans had cultivated large areas of land and populated the earth to the extent that they have, giant Pokemon used to roam around everywhere- remember that huge Alakazam and Gengar trapped within those artifacts way back in Season 1? One of these giant Pokemon was a Devil-type known as Serpentizor, whose body and power were so immense, he commanded the entire area now spanning the Orange Islands as his domain. Over time, the amount of people and Pokemon he needed to eat was becoming so much that everything (including Serpentizor) was due to become extinct, and this is where the giant Pokemon began working with the humans to create items that would trap Pokemon inside smaller spaces- the Pokeballs. However, some Pokemon (those who feared Serpentizor's retribution or just valued their own freedom) took exception to this and began a war against those who were trying to help the humans and the rest of the world survive. Eventually, after a battle which 'turned half the world to fire', Serpentizor was sealed away, along with his supporters. The humans made a vow to forget everything in case the powers should be unleased as a way of waging war, and the Pokemon promised to guard it for as long as they existed, forming a legion known as The Guardians. Serpentizor's domain in the Orange Islands was flooded with water, and Lugia's function there is to maintain the oceans' currents so that these secrets may remain hidden forever. However... [b]Sign-Up Info[/b] And this is where your characters come in. There are several character categories to choose from: -The Guardians. These are Pokemon [i]only[/i] characters and don't talk to humans at all. They only talk to other Pokemon, and have no understanding of human language, because that way they're not at risk of revealing any secrets. The only ones with the capacity to do so are Psychics and Lugia. -Normal Pokemon. Those who belong to a trainer, just haven't got a clue as to what's going on, etc... -Serpentizor's Legion. Pokemon descended from those under Serpentizor's reign that have inherited their will to resurrect the gigantic beast and gain control of the world. -Humans. They may have Pokemon that they train, be a researcher/archeologist who's found an ancient Pokeball-artifact, be a photographer who's gotten wind of large groups of legendary Pokemon meeting in the forest, etc... -Team Rocket members. Team Rocket has recently uncovered some of these Pokemon artifacts and are beginning to trace them back to their original source, in the hope of finding something they can use to gain control over the rest of humanity. This ignores any events occurring in movies past Pokemon 4ever (cause I haven't seen them and I can't be bothered doing any more research). [b]Important Information regarding Sign-Ups![/b] 1- I'll only allow one full Team Rocket team in the game, consisting of two characters. I reserve the right to choose who those characters are, so if you want to sign up as a member of Team Rocket, you'll need to include a reserve character for yourself to be in case you're not picked. 2- BUT! I will be picky about who I accept anyway, so please try and be effort-ful in your writings. The better and more original the characters, the more likely you'll be accepted, heh. 3- You can only sign up as [i]one[/i] character. So you can't have a trainer whose Pokemon is in the Guardians as well, because it doesn't work like that. 4- If you do sign up as a trainer, no more than two Pokemon, please (see points 7 and 8). Same with Team Rocket members and any other human. 5- These Pokemon are excluded from any kind of play: Entei, Unknown, Celebi, Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Ho-oh, Deoxys. Everything else is okay [i]I think[/i], but please bear with me if I change my mind after you sign up, heh ^_^; 6- Remember that if you sign up for Lugia, you need to consider his/her duties to maintaining the oceans around the Orange Islands. 7- I'd prefer it if there was only one Pokemon of each species for the game (that goes double for the legendaries[size=1][b][color=red]*[/b][/color][/size]), and certainly no more than two. That can be avoided to an extent by naming them, but I don't want seventeen Pikachus running around the place. 8- If you're a Pokemon Trainer, please be realistic about the Pokemon you have. 9- You can sign up as an incidental (i.e. not Ash, Misty, Brock, Jesse, James, Tracey, Professor Oak, Gary, Ash's Mom, etc...) character from the series if you like, providing you can make them interesting. An example of an available character would be Melody from the second movie. With that out of the way, this is the information you'll need to get going: [b]Name:[/b] Anything you like. Guardians are more likely to use their Pokemon name, though. [b]Age:[/b] [b]Species:[/b] Stands to reason :p [b]Gender:[/b] Also stands to reason :p [i](Pokemon only):[/i][b]Type:[/b] [i](Pokemon only):[/i][b]Attacks:[/b] [b]Affiliation:[/b] Guardians, Team Rocket, N/A if you're not belonging to anything. [b]Appearance:[/b] A picture'll do, but an additional description would be nice. Guardian Pokemon all have [url="http://www.otakuboards.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24661&stc=1"]a symbol[/url] tattooed on their body somewhere. This includes height, colour, distinguishing marks/scars and anything else you'd like to include, heh. [i](Humans Only):[/i][b]Pokemon:[/b] [i](Humans Only):[/i][b]Personal Equipment:[/b] Not weapons as such, but anything they may carry around with them (e.g. Pokedex, phone, laptop, Team Rocket-brand net launcher...) [b]Personality:[/b] What your character is like and how they react towards other people and their own responsibilities, etc. [b]Biography:[/b] This is where things really count- make your character interesting but original, whatever they are. How they came to be where they are, personal history, etc. This should also include your characters' role in whatever organisation they're part of. If they're a Pokemon Trainer, I'd include how well-accomplished a trainer they are, whether they've won anything and what their goals are. Erm, I hope that's everything. I'll be annoyed if I need to add something else in. It's been almost three hours creating this post... Oh, poo. My sign-up >.>; [b]Name:[/b] Rukario [b]Age:[/b] 6 Years [b]Species:[/b] Rukario [b]Gender:[/b] Male [b]Type:[/b] Steel/Fighting [b]Attacks:[/b] Light Screen, Hyper Beam, Dymanic Punch, Take Down [b]Affiliation:[/b] Guardians [b]Appearance:[/b] [url="http://www.otakuboards.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24662&stc=1"]Here.[/url] He's 4 feet tall, which is big for a Rukario. The Guardians symbol is tattooed on his back. [b]Personality:[/b] Rukario is generally a very conscientious Pokemon. He takes pride in his place in the Guardians and is always striving to make it do more than sit on its wide variety of backsides and wait for something bad to happen. He believes it has the power to help Pokemon and humans in other areas of the world who are suffering, and can't understand why it doesn't, especially as he knows many who have asked for help but he's been unable to offer it to them. His objection to the Guardian leaders' decisions to ignore everything but Serpentizor is why he's never been able to rise to any position of authority within the legion. He's very knowledgeable about the world and will often be the first to greet new Pokemon so that he can ask them questions about where they're from. [b]Biography:[/b] Rukario was the only 'mon in his litter, and as such gained the full attention of his parents, who were eager to raise him into the Guardians' society. They spent a lot of time teaching him about the world and how he should behave in it, as well as pitting him against other young Pokemon to develop decent fighting abilities. While he's not very well-skilled at combat, he can often spot weaknesses in opponents' defences and efficiently take them down that way. He doesn't usually stay in one spot for long- he enjoys 'falling asleep to a different view each night', although infrequently goes back to his parents to visit them. In the Guardians, his role is to gather information on the artifacts in the Hoenn region;- if they're still in their original places, what condition they're in and where they may have moved to. Around his neck, he wears a small map rolled inside a hollow wooden tube and attached to a piece of vine. [b][color=red][size=1]*[/b][/size] Does that mean there's only half of them each? o_O; Eurgh...[/color][/color]

[QUOTE=SunfallE]For me my favorite season has always been fall. I just love the autumn colors and I usually spend as much time as possible going out and visiting the mountains to take pictures and do some hiking. I have always loved Halloween and the Thanksgiving holiday as well. Perhaps it has something to do with my birthday being in the month of October as I grew up having fall and Halloween themed birthday parties. Even once all the leaves have fallen and the once green grasses turned brown up in the mountains, fall still seems to hold the charm of an enchanted place waiting for the right moment to come alive again. I have also always loved how the leaves dance across the land in the wind as if they are celebrating being free to roam the earth. I love windy days in the fall and could easily spend hours listening to the sound of the leaves dancing.[/QUOTE][COLOR=#503F86]Mmm, me too ^_^ I like autumn for the colours, and because it's cool enough for me to wear the number of layers of clothing I want to without looking weird (there've been a couple of times in the summer that I've gone out with a jacket, jumper and T-shirt on my torso, and aside from getting very hot, I also feel pretty dumb when someone picks me up on it). I have a lot of jackets, and I can't wear them in hot sun. Too much heat tends to make me feel lethargic, too; in autumn it's not usually blisteringly hot- it's cool enough without giving you a chill. But if it's too cold we get to light the fire (fireplaces = yum!) ^_________^ I love going for walks in autumn. I think grey skies can be really pretty if the light's right. But even a still, cool day with only a few clouds is nice. And I quite like watching heavy rain when I'm inside. Summer is okay... I like it because of the associations I have with it- summer holidays (not that I get those any more, being in semi-full-time work), my birthday in July and people inviting me to swimming pools. And indeed, summer is the nicest time to go swimming outdoors. Or indoors, even ^_^ Spring I used to loathe, because I get crazymad hayfever. It's not so bad any more, but I still don't like the pollens that fly about. or the wasps >.>; Winter is cool. Too cool sometimes, although it's easier to get warm in winter than to get cool in summer, I find. There's always the anticipation of snow, which is the best part of [i]any[/i] year if it falls properly, and settles. Being in the south of the UK, that doesn't happen very often. And there's Christmas, which is always fantastic ^_^ But overall, I like autumn.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=#503F86]Er, which anime in particular do you think they'd belong to? It's all very well saying 'this song goes with anime', but is there one song that you envisioned as going with a specific series, scene or character? Personally, I find a lot of English-language songs rather boring now. I guess I've just turned 'music-elitist', heh ^_^; There are some songs I like, but whether they an apply to an anime... I guess 'Life is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back' by Meat Loaf could be good for something in Akira. not that I've seen the anime, but from the pictures and clips I have seen, it seems appropriate. You already know that Paradise Kiss is using Franz Ferdinand's 'DO YOU WANT TO' as an Ending theme, right?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=#503F86]I'm going to close this thread- I think it's strayed too far off topic and there are already several threads in which editing/dubbing can be discussed to a much better quality. Thread closed.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=#503F86]There's a Sailor Moon topic [URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=32584]here[/URL] where you can discuss any of the Sailor series. Make sure to check for existing threads before starting a new one. Thread closed.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=#503F86]There's already a pretty expansive Inu Yasha thread [URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=39612]here[/URL] where you can discuss any aspect of the series that you want to. Make sure to check for existing threads before starting a new one, either by checking the [URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=38208]Official Threads Directory[/URL] or by running a direct search of the forums. Only one topic per specific anime is allowed in the Anime Lounge, otherwise things become incredibly cluttered. Thread closed.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=#503F86]Okay, I'm closing this thread. I'm personally shocked by the quality of the posts in this thread- it's [i]all[/i] spam. I'd strongly suggest everyone here take a good look at the [URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/rules.php?]Rules[/URL]. Firstly, please add more detail to your posts. Simply posting lists of good or bad characters doesn't count as viable discussion, and posts/threads that are too short will be closed and/or deleted. Secondly- narutobleachfan, don't double-post. If there's something you want to add or change, please use the 'Edit' button. Thirdly, abbreviations are against OB's Rules, and using them too much counts as spam. Post quality is very important at this site, so being able to use spelling, grammar and punctuation properly is essential. I'm not asking for perfect English, but at least using full words and the right punctuation (e.g. full stops, commas) would be appreciated. Thread closed.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=#503F86]Seeing as providing links to the download of illegal material is against OtakuBoards' Rules, as is the posting of links to commercial sites, this thread's all but redundant unless you'd like to actually discuss the series. Please try to add more detail to your posts in future, especially when starting a new thread about a specific series.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=#503F86]Well, if that's all settled... I'm sure you'll be able to find some more with a thorough Google search. It can take some filtering, but you can come up with some really nice results in the end. Thread closed. If you'd still like suggestions, I'd advise putting a note in your Signature about it.[/COLOR]

When is it acceptable to still be a virgin?
Solo Tremaine replied to Doukeshi's topic in General Discussion
[COLOR=#503F86]I'm twenty, male, and still a virgin. It's odd. There've been several times when I've had the opportunity for sex but for whatever reason, it didn't happen. I'd almost pledged to myself that I wasn't going to be a virgin when I turned twenty at the beginning of this year but alas, it was not to be. It's not that I haven't wanted it- although the first opportunity I had it turned out that I wasn't ready for it anyway- but things just turned out that way. I think it's unusual for someone to be a virgin over the age of 27, and to me it'd be weird for someone over 35 to still be a virgin. I think. I've never thought about it that much, heh ^_^; I don't feel weird as such yet, but I am starting to worry that if I don't hurry, I'm not going to be able to find anyone who'll want me. It seems irrational, but... yeah. I really don't want to leave it that much longer, I'll put it that way.[/COLOR] -
[COLOR=#503F86]I'm sorry to rain on your parade, as it were, but there's a Fullmetal Alchemist thread [URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=39111]here[/URL]. Please make sure to check for existing threads before starting a new one, either by running a search of the forum or by looking through the Official Threads Directory. Thread closed.[/COLOR]

Anime What kind of bishounen do you drool over?
Solo Tremaine replied to ukoku's topic in Otaku Central
[quote name='Howlingvampire4']I don't remember his name, :animeswea but that guy with blue hair and a bandana from Blue Gender who ended up dying :animecry:[/quote][COLOR=#503F86]Oh, you mean [spoiler]Joey[/spoiler]. I liked him, too. I always seem to find favourite cheracters in those that get killed. It's rather frustrating. Anyway, please remember to give [b]reasons[/b] as to why you drool over specific bishounen. Simple lists constitute as spam, really. There is a range of different characters that I like.Characters like Syaoran (does anyone know how to pronounce that, by the way?) from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle I really like because I can identify with their loyalty and devotion to the people they care about. That, and he has cool hair. Oddly, in Fruits Basket I think more of Kyo than I do of Yuki even though Yuki's character is more like my own. I think Kyo is more interesting as a person and it's his struggle with himself that keeps me watching him over Yuki. Kaworu of Evangelion was one of my first 'Oh, how cool!' characters that I saw in anime- the red eyes are very becoming, and his temperament is something I can also identify with as a character. I think a lot of the attracion in these comes from the designs of the characters themselves- I'm usually a fan of short and/or long spiky (or at least unkempt) hair and I know that the characters aren't real, essentially. That doesn't mean I don't find them appealing anyway, but some people seem to have unhealthy fascinations with people who don't exist in physical terms. I'd never get that obsessed, heh. There are times when I see yaoi doujin and the guys look hideously anorexic. And then anorexic with muscles o_o; That kind of body just doesn't appeal to me, which is why I couldn't be attracted to Vash unless he kept his jacket on. I much prefer more normal body shapes.[/COLOR]
