I've been having a few problems accessing the comments options. I'm sure it's not my settings as I've tried this on a couple of different comnputers. The page either cannot be found, using IE, or I get the pop-up telling me the document contains no data (FireFox) Are the comments systems unstable at the moment? sometimes it loads the commnets but doesn't load the skin. Any ideas as to what is causing my woes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't been able to comment / view mine frequently since it started happening
Who's your ISP, by the way? I've had the same trouble using Tiscali, but on computers with other ISPs I don't have any problem whatsoever. When I contacted them about it, they suggested I changed my settings to use a specific (and alternate) Dedicated Network Server rather than one that's automatically deteced. I seem to be having fewer problems than I did before, although there are still times where both MyO and OB fail to work (along with many other Velegant sites). I don't suppose you use a LinkSys wireless router to connect to the internet, do you? I'm just looking for connections, heh.
Anyway, yeah, Beethoven's 9th is a great one. I don't know what you mean about it's association with football, though. Perhaps you'd like to explain...
Oh, in the UK there's a programme which broadcasts various football (soccer) events, like the UEFA Cup and Premiership League. They always use these huge pieces of classical music to try and make it seem epic, and I really, really hate football/soccer, at least the way it's portrayed by all forms of UK media. I must admit, I'm a bit of a prude when it comes to using music akin (and sometimes including) Lord of the Rings to advertise something (I think of as being) so crass.
And yes, Pirates is a really great score. Like you said, it can be generic at times, but I completely agree with you that it's full of energy. I absolutely love[/i'] "He's a Pirate"! It's a great song! The second I got my hands on the CD, I sat down and immediately started noodling it out on my flute! I love that song! It's so fun.
Mmm, Klaus Badelt with Hans Zimmer's supervisation. You can smell the drum beats of Gladiator, hehe. I managed to get my hands on Star Wars: Episode III today, and listened to about three tracks before the batteries on my CD player ran out -_- It doesn't seem as memorable as Episodes I and II, somehow. I was hoping the Anakin vs Obi-Wan music would be able to top Duel of the Fates in terms of its epic feel, but somehow it doesn't quite seem to cut it. But Duel of the Fates it already great... I've noticed that a lot of Philharmonic Orchestras tend to lack a certain quality of sound compared to others. Depth, or bass, or something. Listening to renditions of game music by the Japan Philharmonic and James Bond arrangements by the Prague Philharmonic, they always tend to lack something in comparison to say, the London Philharmonic. Is there a reason for it, do you know, or is it just how things are?
ah so otakuboards has an english staff member? i never knew that. i can see what you're saying there, but how can we be sure that series will even be released out here?
Yep, I'm about as English you can get, without the tea, crumpets and posh cockney accent ^_~ You can't often be sure that a series will be released. You can either ask them directly (but you'll either get a vague 'Don't know yet' or a blunt 'Not in the forseeable future'. The best thing to do is regularly check the distributors' websites (e.g., MVM, ADV Films, Beez) or keep checking UK Anime News for a really comprehensive schedule for the upcoming months. It's the best-informed UK anime site I've seen. Very very good.

There are better places to buy anime than City Cyber, I find. Otaku UK is usually a few quid cheaper, although you do sometimes have to wait a week or so for stock to come in. I've managed to grab hold of some really nice obscure soundtracks from them, and they even went out of their way to find an out of stock item for me, so they'll always tend to be my number one choice. And because they're UK-based, there's no customs charge ^_^ The problem with importing anime is that it takes away income from the distributors on the home market. There are times when I'm tempted to buy US releases because I can get t whole series there and then, but at least if I wait for the UK releases, then by supporting the distributors here, there's a greater chance of more releases coming our way in future. If all anime's imported, of course there's going to be no market for UK releases. Unless something has no hope of a UK release (and with the exception of R.O.D the TV, which I've started importing already), from now on I'm hoping to be able to have the strength of mind to only buy UK DVDs to try and bring in some support. There's not really much point in me buying all the availabe FMA DVDs yet anyway, as I'd only have to wait forever for the next ones...

Sign Up Clandestine I: Terracotta [PG-VLS]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
Mmm, some really great stuff here ^_^ There are a few things I think I need to add/elaborate on, however: Legacy: I'd intended for this just to be a personal Biography of each character- don't feel you need to put down anything historical if it's not relevant. If it's easier, it can be split into two sections- Bio and Legacy (if applicable). Weapons: Any special abilities that your character has counts as a weapon, be it transformation, the ability to use spells, psychic powers, etc... Callsign: This was something I forgot to add altogether- every Field Agent and Researcher must have a callsign by which the Agent Superiors call them. It's a military thing. Also, I neglected to mention exactly how selective I'd be with these sign-ups. Ideally I'm looking for between eight and twelve participants, and bearing in mind there'll be further recruitment for parts II and III (probably about four extra each), if everyone stays that'll lead to a lot of people. Should be fun, hehe ^_^ Name: Tristan "Trace" Arc'hanteal Age: 27 Gender: Male Race: Therianthrope (werewolf) Origin: United Kingdom Function: Field Agent Callsign: Vanguard Equipment: Weapons: -12-Gauge Tactical Shotgun -Mid-range assault rifle with optional scope and grenade launcher -Pair of bladed tonfa, custom-made. The blades are a silver/platinum alloy with diamond edges and run along the length of the shafts. Hidden within the shafts are two more extandable blades which can extend from either end of the tonfa, increasing its offensive and defensive reach. Armour: In battle, Trace wears modified battle armour constructed from inter-sliding plates of metal that change shape with his transformations. The design's still very much in its prototype stage, however- it's prone to coming loose and the plates occasionally get stuck in position. He intends to see a Hacker about it as soon as he has time. Special Abilities: Trace is able to transform himself into a seven-foot werewolf at will, giving him increased physical strength, speed and stamina for short periods of time. Appearance: Human Form Animal Form When a human, Trace stands at six foot two. Legacy: The names 'Trace' and 'Arc'hanteal' were names Tristan gave himself when he joined Clandestine at the age of 19 in order to try and fit in with the people around him. His real surname's Hill, but he keeps that solely to himself. He was born in a small village in West Sussex, but was never taken to a hospital. The circumstances surrounding his birth have never been made clear to him, but it's never made much of a difference. He was never registered as being born, so ironically he disn't exist as a legal entity until he arrived at Clandestine. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, who were both incredibly supportive of him despite everything he put them though while going through puberty (teenage werewolves don't tend to be the most co-operative beings). It was rare that he was able to go outside and play with other children, but his stepfather kept him company for most of his childhood. When he was eighteen, his family received a letter from Clandestine asking if he wished to be part of the organisation. After much thought (and the birth of his half-sister Jessica), he decided it would be best for him to live somewhere he could actually exist and do something practical with his life. He took to physical training with great enthusiasm, and embarked on his first mission as a Field Agent when he was 21... almost completely ruining it. Had it not been for the experience and expertise of an older Agent that was with him, there could have been serious trouble. Thankfully, he's learnt from his mistakes. In battle, Trace is next to fearless. His close-combat fighting skills are incredibly adept (one of his most proud moments was when an Agent Superior called him 'exemplary') with most weapons, although he favours his custom-made tonfa, his prized posession. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, and has no qualms about killing people if he needs to. When not on a mission, Trace spends most of his time assisting with building work- the facility is almost always undergoing underground extensions. As a result, he often looks dirty and unwashed. He writes regularly to his family, and is eager to get time away to visit his sister. Deity/Lord: Latana, Greek Goddess of therianthropes. Not that he worships, mind you... Quote: "People get what they deserve. I kill people who don't deserve to live, and if someone kills me... then I'll have no regrets." -
And Metallica playing with the orchestra isn't all that great, mostly because it's Metallica (okay, this is probably a little biased because I really don't like Metallica). For real[/i'] symphonic metal, try Nightwish or Rhapsody. You know, the good stuff.
I never said I liked it, hehe. I don't really like Metallica either, but it really sounds like you've got your head screwed on when it comes to Metal. I've never heard of Nightwish or Rhapsody, though.
Ugh! I hate Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance: Land of Hope and Glory"! To each his own - it's fine if you like it - but I can't stand it! Not bashing you here, I just had to say something.
Fair enough. To be honest, I have heard it rather a lot, and I can only ever listen to it once at a time. It's just the first one that came to mind. Despite the associations with (*groans*) Premeirship Football, Beethoven's 9th is one of my favourites.
... I like harpsichords! lol
You're on your own there, at least where my music's concerned ^_~
Speaking of film scores, I think the Fellowship of the Ring score is incredible! The orchestration is really tight, and It covers everything from quiet and solemn to epic and full. I love it! Anyone else with me here?
Surprisingly, I wasn't as turned on by Fellowship as I expected I'd be. It's great music, but I don't listen to it very often. Pirates of the Caribbean is much more my sort of thing. A little generic here and there, but it's got great energy to it. The LOTR music's got a great deal more subtlety and variety, but it's not one of my favourite scores.
That said, I love the Jurassic Park and Harry Potter scores Williams created. It's interesting, because you can tell he composed them from the octaves. (I'm not thoroughly schooled in theory, so I have to describe it in a primitive way. Boo.) Anyhow, if you listen to the famous low-note high-note from the Skywalker Symphony, you'll notice it's similar to the most memorable sections of the Main Themes from Harry Potter and Jurassic Park.
I know what you mean! I was listening to Hook at one point, and I swore blind it was Philosopher's Stone. John Williams is fantastic, but the scores have a tendency to blend into one another after a while.
I like orchestral music (i.e. the kind one can sometimes find on movie & anime soundtracks). Ordinary classical music often leaves me cold, though--I need something visual or emotional to associate it with. I wouldn't say I dislike most classical stuff, but a lot of what I hear is either a) so complicated and strict-sounding that it makes it really hard for me to relax, or b) has little raison d'etre beyond just being uber-virtuoso, if you know what I mean. I'd rather listen to a slightly sloppy or maudlin piece that at least tries hint at real meaning than a perfectly polished one which seems to have been concocted solely for artists to show off their abilities. ~Dagger~
*nods* I generally tend to prefer film scores over classical music, although most of the time they both use full orchestras (like Fullmetal Alchemist does, heh). Film scores have the added attraction of being able to use things like electric guitars and things that didn't exist way back when. I have heard Metallica and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing Beethoven's 5th, but it's not quite the same. There are some pieces of classical music that I really enjoy- Carl Orff's Carmena Burana, for example, The Planets suite and things like Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance: Land of Hope and Glory. Most of the rest... well, because it's classical it's been played so much I've become sick of it. And I loathe harpsichords. If there's one way to instantly make me edgy, play a harpsichord. I just hate the sound it makes. So. Much.

For millennia, stories have been told of creatures that have dwelled in the realms of human imagination. Kraken, the Medusa, dragons, ogres, giants, vampires, werewolves, angels and demons... nobody alive can deny the knowledge of such myths and legends. Created by gods for their own purposes, each creature was given features and powers that made them more powerful than the humans which dominated the world under them. They were protectors of the gods' powers and treasures, the forerunners of their armies and the keepers of their secrets. However, when the writings of theology and mythology began to fade in favour of humanity's own teachings, the gods' powers began to diminish and their creatures faded into obscurity, becoming shadows of their former glory. But their legacies remained, and small communities of them managed to survive through the ages, even persevering through hundreds of years of oppression. Soon, new branches of myth began to appear. Those arising from other worlds, creatures created by man's own hand, and those who have lain undiscovered for thousands of years. With the world in continuous flux, very few exist today. And those that do... Welcome to Clandestine. We're happy to welcome you into our organisation, and hope that within us you will find a sense of purpose and justice, as well as a place to interact with those in similar situations to yourself. At Clandestine, we have specialised facilities catering for every being we take under our collective wings. A mere glance at an overview of our facilities should be enough to suggest we're more than a simple backyard following. Feel free to look around at your leisure once you have turned in your registration documents. You are welcome to live here as a civilian, whereby you will be asked to tend to the running of the facility itself in whichever manner suits you best. However, should you request to take participate in more active undertakings, you may request an appointment with the Director for more information. Enjoy your stay. Clandestine As you may have gathered, this RPG's premise is very much in the style of Hellboy, albeit slightly diferent. It was inspired by an RPG which Manic Webb created quite some time ago, but never got to start. I liked it and have sort of adopted the idea, so he should really take credit for this >.> Clandestine is a secret organisation/military base formed by a number of nations and based in central Australia, where it conducts most of its operations from. It has several functions: -To monitor activities of non-human sentient beings; such as vampires, werewolves, necromancers, dragons, medusas, chimeras, spirits, driads [and anything else you could care to think of]. -Protect key mythical artifacts/beings/areas of the world. -Locate and bring into Clandestine Ops [the base] any creatures having difficulty adjusting to human society, and/or who wish to become part of the organisation. -Detain or eliminate any dangerous mythical creatures. -Protect humanity from the potential dangers of these creatures. -Keep the existence of all non-human sentients in the outside world confined to the realms of fantasy. Enlistment If you want to sign up, here are the details you'll need for your character: Name: Age: Gender: Race: This can be anything you like, although variety and originality will be greatly appreciated. I don't want it to be entirely vampires and therianthropes (wereanimals) >.> Cyborgs/aliens/dragons* are allowed, but no angels or demons... not until Part III, anyway. Of course, humans work at Clandestine too. Origin: Where you come from and your historical lineage, if you feel like putting that in. Function: What you do as part of the Clandestine organisation. See below for further information. Equipment: [See notes below] -Weapons (if applicable) -Armour -Spell books/ancient spellcasting artifacts (if applicable) -Machinery (if applicable) -etc... Appearance: For each form that your character has, you'll need a description and/or a picture. The more detailed and interesting the description, the better. Legacy: Your biography, essentially. Try and keep it as original as possible (but a few clichés are alright ^_~) Deity/Lord: Just a superficial thing, really- if you look around the internet for information on your race of choice, you can often find gods of different histories related to the races' creation (I found Latana, god of Therianthropes [wereanimals] and Vivamort, god of Vampires). It doesn't mean anything much for your character's standing in the RPG, but it's just extra information that may be useful. Cyborgs and creatures such as dragons don't have deities, and humans don't need them, either. Quote: Something your character would say that defines an aspect of themselves. No more than two quotes here, please. Functions There are military and non-military positions at Clandestine. you can be either, but you'll need to find a way of being involved with the story even if you aren't on active service, otherwise things get messy. There are: Field Researchers- those who go out on missions to investigate areas and creatures of interest. Most have psychic abilities (telekenesis, heightened senses and the ability to sense presences and activity through walls). All have studied various books on arcane arts and some have grasped the use of basic magic spells. They are given very little combat training, however, so more often than not, they are accompanied by Field Agents, who are the main task force of Clandestine. Made up of humans and various mythical creatures who agreed to take on more active duties, they carry out most missions to do with subduing, defending, attacking and/or recovering anything they're assigned to. They're highly trained for armed and unarmed combat and are equipped with specially-developed weapons and armour to protect them. They also run shifts protecting the complex and the prisoners held inside, and while not on active duty they help run the complex, carrying out administrative jobs/menial tasks that they're best able to do. Some only take part in running the complex, and don't fight. More often than not they're called out at some point, however. Physicians, Healers deal with the biological aspects of Clandestine- not only making sure that Field Agents return to full health after battle, but they also work to find out physiological factors that affect them; determining allergies, weak points, susceptibilities/imunities to illnesses and trying to use them for a greater good. Along with the Hackers, they also carry out research on ancient artifacts. Hackers are a growing necessity at Clandestine, as more and more artifacts are being found which can't be explained through historical and mythical analysis. Hackers are experts with computers who aid everyone at Clandestine in some form or another- disabling security systems, designing weaponry, building machinery, finding information and driving vehicles. They also get a good degree of physical training in order to make them suitable for the battle field. While not as powerful as the Agents, they're one of the most versatile elements within the organisation. Agent Superior is a rank given to humans only, who supervise the carrying out of missions by the other creatures and take charge of discipline amongst the organisation. They are incredibly highly trained (usually ex-SAS/Marine corps or some equivalent) and plan out strategies for tasks that need to be undertaken. Weapons Not everyone has a weapon. Hackers generally only have standard military-issue guns/knives, unless they've designed something themselves (in which case it's usually wide for everyone else to give them a wide berth in case it explodes). Field Researchers/Physicians/Healers may carry around books or wands/staves that help them in their duties. Civilians are not allowed to carry weapons unless they're on a mission, in which case they're given a single item to protect themselves with in case their defensive line is broken. Everyone has a certain amount of armour that they take wth them, though. Field Agents are the ones with the most equipment- they can carry up to three weapons each (one of which can be a pair, e.g. handguns/daggers) and will have specially-adapted armour General Character Information I'm looking to accept the most interesting sign-ups to the RPG, so steering away from well-worn stereotypes would be nice. I know certain creatures lend themselves to certain archetypes (e.g. the antisocial loner vampire with a taste for everything black and lifeless), but play around with things and see what happens. It's not as if you can't change something if it doesn't work, heh ^_~ And if you can find (and describe) a creature that is rarely used anywhere that you want to use, then do so. *Dragons/other 'creature' creatures: Bear in mind that creatures with no alternate human form aren't really capable of proper human speech, sounless they happen to be telepathic or have transformed themselves into some other form then it's unlikely they'll be able to say much. As much as this is based on fantasy, it needs a certain amount of realism. Characters can have pets/familiars, but no more than one. And bear in mind that it has to be looked after... There will (hopefully) be two more parts to this RPG, entitled 'Catalyst' and 'Rapture', which will have additional sign-ups for people who want to get involved with those. There's a great opportunity for character development across three RPs, heh. I'll reveal more information about Part I's storyline nearer to its start. Have fun ^_~

Solo, this thread's almost a year old now. I don't think the Free Comic Book Day information here is accurate any more. Please try not to bring back incredibly old threads if they aren't relevant any more, unless there's something new that can be discussed. Thread closed.
Um, there's a difference between old-style animation and bad animation. Very few animes have the simple visual charm of something like, say, Castle of Cagliostro or Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Dragonball has bad animation, but you can't attribute lack of quality to age.
Yes, but what I mean is that the older styles don't appeal to me, or at least I've not seen one yet that has. I understand Miyazaki's animations have stayed pretty much the same since the earlier movies, but I personally don't like watching the older animes because on the whole it's not a style I find particularly pleasing. I don't mean to say that all old anime lacks charm, detail and sophistication- I never even meant to hint at that. It's just not something I can get on with.
I'm incredibly surprised at this. FMA is an amazing anime. After watching the entire series I fell in love with the characters and the idea, seemingly abstract at first, work well. There is some loopholes involved but it can only be expected with such a complex storyline. I think its a great show, and its success proves so.
Everything's a matter of opinion. Sometimes when you're so enamoured with something it can be hard to believe that others don't feel the same way about it that you do- I have that sometimes with the music I like. It lifts me up so much that I fail to see how some people can just shrug it off, and at the same time I can't understand how some music becomes so popular when I hate it so passionately. I'd challenge anyone to find something that absolutely everyone liked. Flint the Time Detective is an anime I can't stand. Whether it can actually be called 'bad' is subject to opinion, but it's not something I can get on with. Very kiddie, and not even in a cute and loveable way. It's full of clichees and rather grating morals, not to mention the main character's an annoyingly loud-mouthed caveman with a hammer for a dad (o_o). The dubbing wasn't exactly inspiring, either. I also dislike all of the Dragonball series (OMFG heretic). Generally speaking, any animes with old-style animation doesn't appeal to me, much less ones with overly-muscular men beating the snot out of each other for reasons I could never really fathom. I've watched a few episodes, and I still don't like it. Judging by its widespread popularity I can't call it 'bad', but in my personal definition that's what it'd be just because it caters to tastes that don't fulfil me.

I've not actually watched the first Fruits Basket season yet, but I'm excited to hear there's going to be more, hehe. Let's hope it lives up to the expectations of the first. Anyway, welcome to OtakuBoards, Dark'sgirl15. I merged your thread with the existing Fruits Basket topic. Please be sure to check before starting a new thread about a specific anime that there isn't one already open. You can do so by looking through the Official Threads Directory Sticky at the top of the forum display, or by running a search. Either way, keeping all of the discussion to do with one anime in one thread makes things a lot tidier, heh.

Yes, a fair few. There's a thread about the anime located here, for discussion of all its aspects. Please try and include more detail in your posts in future, especially when starting a thread about an anime. It's always appreciated when you give details about the plot, characters, reasons why you do or don't like it, etc. Posts that are too short and/or spammy are against the rules anyway, but the more stuff you put in it, generally the more interesting they are to read, too. Please be sure to check for existing threads before starting a new one, too, either by looking through the Official Threads Directory at the top of the forum display, or by running a search. In the Anime Lounge, there's only one thread per specific anime allowed, otherwise the whole forum would become incredibly cluttered. Thread closed. If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM.

*dons hypocrite hat* I've never seen Love Hina, but I can't stand to see Anita lose by such a huge margin >.> I think she's a great character with loads of charisma and she's certainly one of the more interesting Paper Sisters (even though at the moment I like Maggie better). I've only watched to the end of the second DVD, but she's still maintaining my interest, heh.

Anime favorite and least favorite anime songs
Solo Tremaine replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
Big O's OP is also less than inspiring.
*giggles* I don't think I've ever cringed so much listening to an anime theme. Can you say 'Flash!'? Goodness, I really can't think of my absolute favourite anime theme. I have so many... I guess Chrono Crusade's Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line is the most prominent one that comes to mind. In terms of its vocals and the instruments actually used it's fairly average, but there's something about it that puts it at least in my top ten. Sayounara Solitaire (the ED theme) is one of my all-time favourite songs ever, though. I think it's a lovely ballad in all aspects- lyrics, music, vocals... I love it, hehe. The Final Fantasy: Unlimited opening and closing themes are ones I really enjoy, too. VIVID is incredibly lively and Over the FANTASY has a lovely feel to it. There've been times where I've listened to each of them about three times over before being satisfied with hearing enough, heh. Luckily, I don't seem to get sick of them. Now, for the least favourites... I can't say I really liked the English translations of the Rayearth themes. Trying to fit English lyrics to a Japanese theme is a commendable achievement, but I don't think it really works- some of the sentences are really dodgily made in order to fit. I'm not actually a great fan of the Naruto songs. I like Ima Made Nandomo, but the others I didn't find particularly inspiring. The last OP and ED themes from Rurouni Kenshin (the second half of the Meiji arc) weren't nearly as good as the others, either- I always skip them. Yeah, otherwise the worst one I can remember is Big O's OP. It's just... silly. -
I wouldn't suggest torrenting an anime (and providing links to illegal downloads are strictly against OB's Rules anyway), but if you want recommendations on romantic anime there's a thread here that should suffice, heh. Godess of Water, I merged your two posts together. Please try not to double-post in future- if there's something else you'd like to add, you can use the 'Edit' button located underneath your first post. Please be careful of what you could be revealing to people who've not yet seen the series, too. Spoiler tags are very important when talking about a series, and you can use them by typing [*spoiler] and [*/spoiler] (minus the *s) Also, you and lilazncutie68 need to improve on your post quality- copious amounts of abbreviations are against OB's Rules, so it's always appreciated that you use proper spelling, punctuation and grammar wherever possible. That said, if you have any other questions, feel free to send a PM. Welcome to OtakuBoards ^_^

I'm going to leave this thread open, but only because we don't have another Yu-Gi-Oh anime thread open. I don't mean to sound harsh- I understand that you're new cecilia, but please try to include a little more detail when starting a thread about a specific anime- main characters, the premise, your opinions of the anime, anything you can think of (although I'm sure most people already know what Yu-Gi-Oh's about anyway, it's always helpful to start a discussion). Personally, I rather grew out of Yu-Gi-Oh. I was really into it around the Battle City/Tower sagas, but it just dragged on for far too long. I couldn't stomach the five episode long duels which had a blatantly predictable outcome anyway. If it could have been moved along much quicker then I'm sure I'd still watch it. After a while the 4Kids' dub voices started irritating me too. Thank God they got rid of that first Tristan, though. That really grated. I'm interested in seeing the last episodes to see how it turns out, but I lost patience trying to sit through it all. And of course, having it heavily sanitised didn't help the feel of the show and the constant flashbacks being added in were annoying too. Just made the experience a whole lot slower... I do like the character designs, and I play the card game fairly infrequently, but in all I've rather grown bored with it.

Anything that is too short, messy or that contains too many smilies will be deleted as spam. -
Welcome to OtakuBoards, ChemAngel ^_^ Strictly speaking, there aren't any rules for creating new threads as such, but if it's about a specific anime we ask that you take a look through the Official Threads Directory Sticky at the top of the forum display or run a search of the forum first- we only have one thread per specific anime, as otherwise the forum becomes incredibly cluttered. All the information you should need about the movie should be in the FMA thread here. Thread closed. If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM.

Anime Samurai Champloo [from the creator of Cowboy Bebop]
Solo Tremaine replied to Dagger's topic in Otaku Central
Well, I've gotten hooked on Champloo. One of my favorite parts is the opening. Does anyone know where I can d/l the song or, even better, d/l a movie of it?
I merged your thread with the original Samurai Champloo one. Please be sure to check for existing topics before starting a new one. You can do this by either searching the forum yourself or by looking through the Official Threads Directory Sticky at the top of the forum display. Also, please bear in mind that links to illegal downloads of series material (either mp3s or movies) are strictly against OtakuBoards' Rules. If you like the song that much, I'd urge you to buy the soundtrack and support the artist(s). Or, I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction... -
The best advice I can give to you is to check around the other threads in the Manga Workshop and see which series mentioned appeal to you. There's a thread about favourite manga here and various others around and about for people asking for recommendations. Take a look ^_^ In the meantime, I'm going to close this thread else it'll end up exactly the same as any other favourites/recommendations thread. If you've any further questions, feel free to ask.

Welcome to OtakuBoards, WolfranVonHotty. Good to see you. Please be sure to check for existing anime threads before starting a new one, though- to prevent things becomeing too cluttered we only have one thread per specific anime series. There's an Official Threads Directory at the top of the Anime Lounge display which lists all the current existing anime threads, or (if it hasn't been updated) you could run a search to find what you're looking for. There's a Kyo Kara Maoh thread here. Also, please be mindful of your post quality- copious use of abbreviations is against the forum Rules, heh. Thread closed.
