It was Session 24 Hard Luck Woman.
I know you're just answering a question, but please bear in mind that posts this short are still spam. You could always add in your own thoughts as to the episode, or just something else to add more substance to it. The member who asked the question was banned a few days ago anyway, so it doesn't make much of a difference.

OB Geneology? A massive undertaking
Solo Tremaine replied to Roxie Faye's topic in General Discussion
As of a few hours ago, DeathBug and I are now brothers ^_^ I'm pleased, heh. I've had respect for DB ever since he joined the boards as Beelzebumon. It's quite a long history, and he's someone I've always felt pretty close to as a result. -
Your best bet would be to search for an Episode Guide in the internet. Since you haven't specified which episodes you've seen from, it'd be incredibly hard for any of us to start explaining what was going on. Be sure to also check the Dragonball section of the Archives. EDIT: Thread merged, I guess ^_^; Not by me, though.

Sign Up Digimon- Way of the Worlds [PG-13 for violent content]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
Yes, unfortunately so. The RPG's been running for quite some time now and even though it's died down a little (something I mean to rectify very shortly), it's not really fair to start letting people in at this stage. I appreciate the interest, though. Be sure to stay tuned for future ones ^_~ I'm sure they'll be decent enough. -
First draft of something I've had ideas for for ages, but never actually got down until now. Any comments or suggestions are muchly appreciated (so long as they're helpful, heh). ________________________________________________________ Part 1: Longing. The wind blew harsh and cold through the fields, swirling the autumn leaves in its steely caress. A girl, gasping for breath, desperately ran into the wind towards her beloved further up the path. Her face stung with the cold, her eyes stung with tears. Her long pink dress blew wildly behind her and her hair was pulled roughly by the currents of the wind. Closing in on the figure ahead, she longed again to touch his brown hair and to hold herself close in his embrace. As she drew closer, he stopped. She slowed to a walk, moving up to within touching distance... She grasped her gloved hands tightly, trying to will her throat to let the words come out right. The wind blew stronger. "Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?" The boy, dressed in black, didn't move. In his hand was a small bag, containing everything he owned. "Would you have hated me any less if I did?" The girl drew back. "I love you! Doesn't that count for anything?" The boy said nothing, refusing to turn and face the one who was adressing him. The girl waited anxiously for a reply. She stepped closer- "Please..." the boy started. "...don't." The girl pulled her dress further over her shoulders. She gazed at the boy, eyes welling up with tears. "But why?" There was a tense pause. Tightening his grip in the bag in his hand, the boy shut his eyes. "You wouldn't understand." "Of course I won't if you don't tell me!" The girl cried, running in front of him. "Please, I want to know." The boys eyes opened and he saw the girl standing there, her pink dress battered and dirtied by the wind, her hair in a mess and her deep blue eyes gazing at him with tears of desperation. This was why he didn't want to tell her. "There are others, you know. Other people who'll be able to provide for you much more than I can." "But I don't want them!" she yelled, banging her fists on his chest and resting her body on his form. "I want you..." He swallowed hard. "I can't..." In spite of the cold, he could feel her warmth. It was comforting; he felt safety enveloping his body, just as he did that night... Gently, he took her arms and pulled her away from his body. "I can't love you," he whispered. "I'm sorry." "But why?" the girl sobbed. "Everything we did, everything we shared, didn't that mean anything to you?" The boy sighed. "Of course it did. But what did it mean to you?" "It meant the world to me... I thought that... it did for you too." He shook his head. "I can't bring myself to fall in love. Not yet. There are things I need to know first." The girl's head bowed, her body shook with sobs. "I... I want to help you. Please, let me come with you." "You know you can't do that." The girl raised her head, staring deeply into his eyes. "I can! I'll follow you to the ends of the Earth if I can love you. I need to be with you!" The boy took hold of her arms again and surrounded her with his body, embracing her as tightly as he could. "But you do love me... and that's why I have to go." He pulled back, slowly sliding his hands down her arms, stroking her hands, fingers... he broke away and faced the wind. "I'll come back, but you have to promise to be ready for whatever answer I'll give to you." She watched him walk slowly up the path to the hills, holding her hands to her lips until he disappeared over the rise.

Anime Dating Anime Characters: Would You?
Solo Tremaine replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
I merged the two dating threads; Even though they're asking opposite questions a lot of people who answered the original thread tended to answer that which was asked in the second. And it would make sense to have both in one big thread, as then you can draw comparisons and make the subject a bit more diverse. -
Ok do you really have to wait 4 turns before you can active a trap card??
No o_o; I don't know who told you that, heh. You just can't activate it in the same turn that it was set.
2nd How do I get my shining blue eyes dragon on the feild? I have all the cards I think but how do I put them together?
Well, the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon card isn't out in the US yet- you'll have to wait till November or so for it to arrive. When it does, you'll need three Blue Eyes (or two and a Fusion substitute Monster such as King of the Swamp) and Polymerization/Fusion Gate. The three cards need to be on the field and/or in your hand at the same time when you activate Polymerization, at which time those three go to the Graveyard or removed from play, depending which card you have, and you Special Summon BEUD from the Fusion Deck. You can then offer BEUD as a Tribute to summon BESD. Whoo.
Oh and with the filp effect cards can I put 2 filp effect cards down at one time or just one at a time I know I can normal summon and filp summon on the same turn but if I have 3 filps in my hand can I lay all 3 face down on the same turn?
You can only Set one card per turn, even if they have flip effects. You can flip more than one if they're already on the field, but a Set counts towards your one Normal Monster Summon per turn.
For me, I find it mostly a tribute, but there are some flat-out parody moments in the series. I remember 2 episodes spoofing FLCL, and I'm sure there were others that were spoofs. But overall, TT is more of an overdone tribute than a spoof of anime (although it does spoof the DC Universe quite a bit).
Oh, I know it's not meant to be serious. I couldn't quite find the right phrasing for what I wanted to say ^_^; But it reminds me too much of Totally Spies with the overblown facial expressions, and I didn't like Totally Spies at all. I guess I'm just wary of animations trying to encorporate anime visuals into themselves when they aren't strictly speaking 'native' animes. I'm not elitist; sometimes it just doesn't look too right. Although it's probably the style of the rest of the animation that adds to that, too.

Yeah, sorry about that. I've had a little trouble figuring out exactly what happened to get to where we are, though. It happened so quickly o_o;. Would someone be kind enough to put it into simple English so I can track Flare's activity and post from that? I hate being dense.
YOU STILL GET TO WATCH REBOOT?[/size']
Only on DVD ^_^; Unfortunately the UK's Reboot was cut half way through Season three, so I didn't even get to see the episode you were talking about (System Crash) until I got a multi-region DVD player. The two made-for-TV movies (Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs) were released on DVD fairly recently; although the first run of DVDs had distorted sound they were still bloody fantastic to watch. But that's getting off-topic a little ^_^; Going back to Teen Titans, I find their use of anime expressions more of a parody than a tribute. Sometimes they just look a bit... out of place to me, and even though it shows that anime's influence is spreading there's something about them that just doesn't sit right. The show itself isn't too bad, that just irks me a little.

OOC: That's fine, Shin. Sept 7th, 7:14am (and 45 seconds...) In Sabre's bedroom everything lay quiet. Outside, the gentle sound of twittering birds caressed the room and a golden shaft of sunlight pierced through the gap in between the curtains. Sabre felt his blanket about his body and drew it in closer, glad that he was able to lie in for as long as he liked... WAROOOGA! WAROOOGA! Sabre and Soushi cataputed themselves out of bed and blindly fumbled around for the source of the noise, barey awake enough to understand what was happening. Eventually, Soushi planted a fist firmly on Sabre's bright orange alarm clock, silencing the deafening noise. The bishie boy sniffed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "What..." his speech was broken by a long and leisurely yawn, accompaied by a stretch that cricked every bone in his body. "...was that?" Sabre's eyes were barely open, his expression was akin to that of someone who'd been hit over the head with a large, sleep-inducing lemon*. "Stupid clock's broken." he growled, not in the mood for eloquent speech. As he inspected it closer, he read the date as carefully as he could. 7th September. He rubbed his eyes with his free hand and read it again. 7th September. There was a brief moment where Sabre stood perfectly still- not moving at all, hardly even breathing. Soushi watched him for a moment, then fell over backwards when the large wolf let out a piercing yell of fury. "I MISSED IT!" he screamed, launcing himself onto a pillow and tearing out its stuffing with any and every sharp implement his body had available. Synthetic padding covered the floor like snow. Soushi considered throwing a stuffingball at Sabre to try and ease the mood, but guessed it would probably act as an invitation for the wolf to do the same to him as the pillow. Instead, he quietly cleared his throat, waited for Sabre to bury his head in the mattress muttering obscenities and said quietly: "What did you miss?" A low groan escaped from the depths of the carnage that was once Sabre's bed. He raised his head and bashed it against the wall repeatedly before falling over backwards to stare dejectedly at his framed Love/Hate poster. "The hundred and forty-first episode... It's getting really exciting..." Soushi couldn't help but let a smile creep onto his face. "But it's repeated every day anyway. We can watch it tonight!" he chirruped. Sabre's eyes closed in exasperation. "It's not the same..." He rubbed his face, massaging tiny bits of padding from his fur and calming down his facial muscles to try and relax them back into a less aggressive scowl. How could he miss it? He had reminders all over the flat. He'd spent months training his body to atune itself to the TV schedule so that he wouldn't miss it even if he was out in some tropical rainforest. What... Then it clicked. "Oh, it's Monday..." -------------------------------------------------- 8.23am Sabre had planned his recovery operation. He'd go through his lessons not listening to anyone extraneous and would simply lock himself in his flat as soon as Creative Writing had finished. No fuss, no problem. Pulling on his best jacket (reserved for those days where he'd put up with nobody else for any reason), he opened the front door to his flat. "Surprise!" A breakfast-laden Soushi sprang up in front of him, grinning gleefully. "I made breakfast!" he giggled. Sabre forced a smile and followed Soushi to the kitchen.

OB Geneology? A massive undertaking
Solo Tremaine replied to Roxie Faye's topic in General Discussion
Well, I did marry Rain, Lady Asphyxia and [strike]Weh[/strike] Break a while ago, but since no signature records of these exist any more I'm not sure how accurrate they are, heh. There are people I'd certainly like to have as an OB family. Kane is (rather nicely, heh) a cousin. Athough for me to be an actual cousin, the assumption would have to be that I had OB 'parents' that were related to his OB 'parents', unless I was illegitimate or adopted or created in a lab or something. I can't give you anything else I'm afraid, because I've not forged any other familiar relationships in that way. I could give you an ideal family (with some work), but since I have never asked anyone there'd be no backbone to it, heh. -
And here I half-expected some sort of deep, psychological debate about acceptance ^_^; Maybe some other time... I think it's around 20 posts. That's what it was reckoned as being last time someone asked this question.
-
There's really far too much that's happened for this to be viable, heh. Your best bet would be to read the most recent threads in the forum or check places like ADV Films' website, Amazon and (perhaps rather obviously) the Anime News Network. That's all I can suggest. Five months is a fair while and it's too open to really go through every single development that's occurred. And as for recommendations... browse around and see what things hook your interests. You know what things you like already; anything we suggest has the potential to be disappointing for you. I'm going to close the thread now, as I don't think much useful discussion will come from it. If you still want recommendations and/or advice, you're free to put a notice in your Signature about it. Thread closed.

Welcome to OtakuBoards, eclipse. I merged your thread with the existing DBZ/GT thread, to save on forum cluttering. Make sure to check the Threads Directory Sticky at the top of the page before starting a new thread, in case one has already been made. Also, please avoid using abbreviations in posts- not only do they look untidy but it can get confusing as to what you mean. Post quality is very important at OB, so using as many full words as you can is imperitive, if not always as fast. Be careful about double-spacing too often, too. Paragraphing's fine, but doing it to excess just looks messy. That said, be sure to check through the Rules and FAQ pages if you have any more questions or worries about the site, or feel free to PM me or another Mod if there's anything there that can't be answered.

Anime Gotta love those anime cigs :feedback requested:
Solo Tremaine replied to a topic in Otaku Central
Um... I don't think there are a huge number of animes with characters like that. But anyway, I can't see this topic generating much intelligent discussion, so I'm going to close it. If you want information like this, you're welcome to put the message into your signature so people can PM you about it if and when they think of something. Thread closed. -
September 6th, 4:21am Osaka house loomed over the treetops in the dark night, a terrifying silhouette against the starry sky, in which lived some of the most feared beings in the area... and the school teachers. In a mansion-like extension sitting at the top of the apartment building, Principal Gondo Okari placed his hands in a pyramidal shape and leant forwards on his desk as black as night, in his chair as black as night, against his walls which were two shades down from night in the Dulux Evil Room Colour Scheme. He let out a quiet sigh, watching the bright orange vapour escape from his lips and suffocate the various government spies hiding in the corners of the room. A few seconds later, he clicked his fingers and a door in the side of the room opened, at which stood a thirty-something year old female clutching an archaic typewriter in her arms. "You called, sir?" "Yes, I did." There was a tense silence. The secretary clutched her typewriter closely to her body in anticipation. The Principal of Tokyo Academy didn't move, but his sunglasses slid obediently up his nose to further obscure his eyes from his PA. She blinked and a large sweatdrop appeared behind her head, dangerously close to causing a large puddle on the floor behind her. The fact that she was only two feet tall meant she had to be extra careful about them. "Did you want me, sir?" she whispered tentatively. Gondo Okari moved his head in her direction and did nothing, in the sinister way that only the best sinister characters could manage. "I am getting bored with waiting for the term to start." he seethed. "Warm up Mister Yamauchi." The secretary almost dropped her typewriter. "But sir, that could cause unending problems in the flow of time! A whole day will be lost- aeroplane flights will be in chaos, newspapers will all be out of date, the chickens will-" Gondo let out a deafening belch which blew the secretary clean out of the room. "I am well aware of the consequences, Miss Gok. Now, if you please." Miss Gok ran as fast as she could over to the corner of the room, but not without first bumping into a table, a chair, an expensive piece of some archaic robot that Gondo had a personal attachment to and one of the dead government agents. She hit the bookcase with a resounding 'thud' and began climbing up to the top to reach a tiny, almost insignificant switch at the back. Giving Okari one last pleading look (which was answered by one certainly-not-last 'I'm-going-to-kill-you-if-you-don't-do-this' look), she flicked the switch. Immediately, the bookcase began to rumble and creak. It threw Miss Gok violently across the room, to where she landed in a bin, dazed and confused. The wooden piece of shelving furniture swung round to reveal a tube of red liquid, in which stood (or rather, floated) a man, attached to pieces of string. The man's eyes flicked open. Okari gave a wry smile to his captive. "Hello, Hiroshi. It's that time again." "Please sir, I beg of you- don't do it! My LCL FLuid's dirty and I-" "ENOUGH!" Okari boomed, shaking the walls. He strode over to the tube and pressed a large red button on the base of the tube. The strings attached to Hiroshi's body tugged at his various limbs, moving his arms in an intricate dance inside the tube. A strange, whooshing sensation flew over the room, and Miss Gok was made vaguely aware of missing one of her favourite television programmes. As quickly as it started, the sensation halted and Hiroshi's body stopped moving. Principal Okari's smile turned into a wicked grin as he turned Hiroshi's tube back into a bookcase, ignoring the trapped man's protests about something called Lillith. Sitting back at his desk, he looked at the clock and rested his fingers back against each other in their evil pyramidal shape. 04:21, Mon Sept 7th, the dial read.

Discuss Anime Stereotype High School Underground [PG-VSL]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
To prevent this from falling into obscurity I'm going to suggest that we move onto the first school week as soon as possible in these next few posts- I thought I'd give everyone fair warning in case they want to add anything else before I advance a day or so, heh. -
I don't think it necessarily gives them a bad name- jokes are made about anything and everything in The Simpsons. One anime parody scene I saw recently was in Reboot Season 4- the My Two Bobs movie special. It was an odd Pokemon/DBZ parody in which they made a joke about how long characters in anime take to hit someone when doing a flying kick, heh. And there was more- take-offs of Pokemon monsters and attacks, DBZ hairstyles and what-have-you.

So long as you've read and understood the Sticky Threads in both the Adventure Square and Inn, you can start whenever you want. If you don't feel confident enough to start your own yet, join one or two and see how they go, then you can get an idea of what sort of RPG you want to create. Of course if you have a great idea already then there's no reason why you can't start now, heh.

Discuss Anime Stereotype High School Underground [PG-VSL]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
No, the timing was fine ^_^; I just hadn't got round to replying yet, heh. Sorry about that. Keep posting as you like. With regards to Sabre and Vegi: I gather Vegi's a rather nasty, vindictive person anyway (we need at least one, heh) and he coud always bring out the inherent bad-behavioured element inside Sabre, if you liked. So they could be friends, but always be bickering too. -
As entertaining as these laws are, I'm going to have to close the thread- save for being a good read, it's not actually promoting any discussion, and it's not really yours to redistribute anyway. I'd like to know who did write it, actually. But since the original author ha't been credited, it's not really fair to keep this open. Thread closed.

Anime Any anime characters you pity, worship, or fear?
Solo Tremaine replied to Dreamer's topic in Otaku Central
I'd like to see some more substance in some of these posts please, else I'll have to close the thread as spam. Even though there are three categories to write about, please try and add as much detail to them as possible. -
This thread has lasted a very long time, but I think it's about time it was closed down. It's been given far too many warnings about post quality in its time and has been threatened to be closed several times. It's really flogging a dead horse, at this point. I understand that long-time OB members might be disappointed- I am too. But without the proper support and effort from members, a thread like this will never work. Since the Yu-Gi-Oh section has been put into the Archives, this has always been slightly out of place- especially with the anime's slowly dwindling popularity. If people want to PM me about the decision, that's fine. But I honestly don't think it's worth keeping up any more. Thread (reluctantly) closed.

I think the problem is with the having to click to 'Quick-Reply' as opposed to already having the test box open- otherwise, if I'd be typing a post, then click Back, then Forward, the text'd still be there thanks to cookies. If you have to click again to re-open the box, then the text would be gone. I'm not technical, but that's what I'd assume it would be. But from a Moderating point of view I often have to go backwards and forwards between pages before completely submitting a reply anyway. If I always had to click 'Are you sure you do not want to submit this post?', I'm sure I'd make even more mistakes and just lose more time as a result. But it is annoying to lose something you've worked hard on for a long time. To try and minimise it, I have one window open for typing posts and another for browsing.
