Heh, thanks Jinzo ^_^ Anyway, this thread is spam. Favourites-type threads aren't allowed on OB, especially ones with limited discussion. Be sure to read the Rules thread in the Otakuboards Information Center, as well as the Anime Forum Rules thread at the top of this forum. Yeah, this is spam. No sensible discussion can come from this as far as I can see. Please read the rules in the OtakuBoards Information Center before posting again. Thread closed.

Tom, please drop it. Not only are these arguments spam, but they're pointless in the first place. If you want them to stop, then just stop. If you have a problem with something Altron or anyone else has said, PM them instead of clogging up the threads. It's much more polite and means everyone else can read the threads they want to read instead of a flamefest. Please keep to the topic.

I hope that answers your question, NightmareMage. In future, questions about cards should go in the Yu-Gi-Oh Card Advice Thread located at the top of the page. Seeing as the question's been answered, I'll close this thread.
Originally posted by Otogi-san Could someone post an emaple of a shadow ghoul deck plz? I don't know how the "useless" cards would work in it. Maybe just weak monster to waste to the cemetary?
Basically, yes. But it's more complicated than that. Firstly, you need to be able to get your Shadow Ghoul out onto the field (perhaps by Pyramid Turtle), and then you have to make sure that all your 'useless' monster cards go into the Graveyard. The problem is, if you're relying on using only one Shadow Ghoul and another lot of monsters, the most you'll be able to raise it's ATK by is 1900 if you're using a fairly standard Deck theme. That's only 4500, which you could just as easily get with three monsters on the field and United We Stand. A lot fewer cards, and it gives you better scope to do other things. It's certainly a possibility, though. I don't think I'd use Exchange myself, because you won't be guaranteed to have a crap enough monster in your hand to swap at a crucial time. It's just not my kind of game, really. I'm sure other people can use it to great effect, though.

Writing Digimon: Dark Conflict [Revisited]
Solo Tremaine replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Creative Works
Don't worry guys, I promise this will be finished. Thanks for reading through it all ^_^ It means a lot to me. I'm writing Chapter 6 at the moment but I'm having a few problems. It's much longer than I thought. So I'll have to add more and split it again. Chapter 5: Shadows of Fear will be up as soon as I've checked it through. Hang in there, hehe. -
Originally posted by satan665 I have some cards which are useless because I don't have their counterparts, like fusion cards and ritual magic cards but what I really mean are cards like "Gather your Mind" I have two of them now from Mag. Force packs and its a Magic card with the effect; take another gather your mind card from your deck, place it in your hand and shuffle your deck. (not exactly what it says, I don't have it on me) Does anyone know any possible use for this card? I would be really impressed if someone did.
With cards like Skilled White or Black Magician on the field, you get to activate the card and add a Spell Counter to either card while not doing anything too drastic to any of your monsters or Deck. It's a Spell Counter card, really. Albeit a not particularly great one. You could just as well use a Dian Keto or something. I know a few- most are in the LOB booster sets; the commons you'd get 8 to a pack of. Some of the field cards ar alright, but the monsters weren't particularly fantastic. I don't know of anyone who'd put themin a Deck unless they had to. Even the Rare Fusions are pretty bad; fusing for less than 1500 ATK and no effect is a waste of three cards' space for more worthwhile monsters.

Thanks, everyone ^_^ I'll hopefully be up to starting this on Saturday/Sunday. This weekend, anyway. Please don't forget! This sign-up will remain open for some time after the actual RPG start though, so people are still welcome to join if they want to. -
Okay, I'm going to close this now. It's moved past the original Magician's Force discussion and is moving into ridiculous arguements. If you have a problem with other members, take it up with them personally through PMs.

Altron, please calm down. People are allowed to duel with whatever Decks they like, it's not fair to berate them just becaue they're different to how you'd use it. I can understand being critical from a tournamental perspective, but please tone it down. There's no need to be rude.

You don't have to PM anyone- these things can take time to gether interest, heh. I decided that Ryoko could be free for other people because she seems to fit in with the storyline without any problems. She's a character I like too *shrugs* But anyway- if there's anything else you want to ask, PM me about it. I don't want to get too off-topic, heh. Sign-up threads are for sign-ups, after all ^_~ -

Update: Ryoko's now avaliable to play. Same rules apply, though- submit a secondary original character of yours to play as well as Ryoko's sign-up. Tenchi and Ayeka are still no-gos, though. They don't fit in with the storyline. -
I tend to say 'Oojemaflip' when I don't know what it is I'm talking about (in place of 'thingummy'). I make up long, confabulated nonsense words on the spot when something shocking happens, like things being dropped or broken, burned etc. I can't write any down- they're impossible to predict ^_^; I've come to repeating Japanese phrases when I'm concentrating, too- usually ones said by Marth in SSB:M. Or singing lyrics from my favourite anime themes. They get stuck in my head rather easily.

Ranks for Bounty Hunters don't apply. So you just need an N/A in there, heh. And it's only members of the Galaxy Police that have to be 18 and up- although I'd prefer Bounty Hunters to be a bit older than 16 there's more leeway for age. Another thing- Bounty Hunters don't need handguns. You can have whatever you like. I hope this has cleared a few things up. You can edit your sign-up with new details if that's been of help, GuardianStorm. Be sure to watch your spelling too ^_~ If there are any other problems with the sign-up sheet I'll amend them as they turn up, heh. -
OOC: I'm sorry I'm so late. Hit me. ------------------------------------------------------------------ The Verlyth Forest looked beautiful in the bright midday sunlight. The golden rays played through the trees, casting warm shadows across the soft ground. The sound of the gentle breeze playing through the leaves was incredibly soothing. He let his eyes close and the sound of the breeze carry him forwards through the forest, as if in a trance. He loved bathing in the untainted, natural sanctity of the forest. This was one they hadn't yet touched. He came to a high rise in the path- through the gaps in the canopy he could see the spires of the taller buildings in the TechnoMage's city looming ominously over the landscape. If he wanted to he could decimate it in an instant. But he respected Orphe's wishes too much to let himself succumb to petty destruction. He could wait. But not for long. Whirling his staff through the air, he disappeared in a flash of light, treavelling on his way back to the encampment.

Marik, please try and improve your post quality. It's hard to make sense of something so short. A few capital letters wouldn't go amiss, either... Anyway, I don't mind the translation. It's better than not getting the card in English at all, at any rate. Is the changing of that one word really so much to gripe about?

NOTE: This has nothing to do with the Tenchi GXP series, which I didn't know existed until a few minutes ago. Damn, people keep stealing my ideas before I have them... ------------------------------------------------------------------ The Galaxy Police- Brave protectors of the Universe. These platoons of dedicated soldiers devote their lives to ensuring the home galaxies stay safe for civilians and free from crime. They have been responsible for the capture of some of the known universe's most dengerous terrorists and have thwarted evil time and time again. From their base in orbit of one of the Jurai planets* they conduct their operations. Teams of crack detectives are stationed on planets throughout the solar systems under their jurisdiction, ready and waiting for action. Their presence is feared wherever they set foot... ...except when it's Squad 372. Squad 372 is the embarrassing secret the administration try to hide away. Far from the legion of crack agents they want and expect, Squad 372 is one of the most hapless law enforcement units in the universe. Many speculate that the only reason it is kept going is so that the High Comissioner's daughter can still have a place to work- one detective Mihoshi, laughing stock of the GP. Squad 372 is located on a planet very similar to Earth, known as Gaia. It is a popular resort for holiday makers all throughout space, and the job of the agents is to keep the peace. Sounds simple enough... *I have no idea where it actually is. If anyone knows, please say and I'll edit ^_^; --------------------------------------------------- Okay, you don't really need to know anything much about Tenchi to join, except if you've seen Mihoshi in action you'll understand a bit more about what the characters should be like. This is not a gritty drama/fantasy RPG- It's meant to be light-hearted. But I still expect decent quality from those who sign-up. Comedy it might be, spam it should never be. This is what I need from you: Name: Stands to reason. Age: Same again, but keep it reasonable. If you're signing up as a character already in Tenchi (see note below), you'll need a rough estimate of their exact age. Ideally, no-one should be under 18 with the exception of Sasami. Gender: Most GP members are female. Ideally, I'd like more women in this than men. Affiliation: You can be from another department if you like, or be a wandering bounty hunter. If you're being Nagi, Washu or whoever else you might not necessarily be friends with the Galaxy Police (in which case you'd be Neutral). Bounty hunters can be evil or good, but not hugely antagonistic, if you know what I mean. They are being hunted by the Galaxy Police, but with this lot they needn't worry too much. It's up to you. Rank: Doesn't really matter, but there won't be anyone above Mihoshi or Kiyone- they're highest at District Comissioner. Most people will be regular Field Agents or Detectives. It doesn't matter that much. Weapons: Every GP officer has two weapons- one firearm and one for hand-to-hand combat. Nothing too large, though- they aren't your regular fantasy warriors. A bo or staff should be the biggest thing you can get away with. Anyone not with the Galaxy Police can have anything they want. Powers: (If applicable) Regular officers shouldn't have any unless you okay it with me first. Bounty hunters can have whatever they want so long as it doesn't end up as Godmodding. Vehicle: Squad 372 have one Yagami ship between them, which can support quite a few people in it for short periods of time. Apart from that you can have one vehicle of choice; could be anything providing it's small. Bounty hunters can have any ship they want. Appearance: Picture or description is fine here. Characters should have a uniform, but they don't have to wear it all the time. History: How your character came ot be wherever he or she is. Personality: What your character's like as a person, what they hope and strive for, etc. About existing characters: You're welcome to sign up as a character already in either Tenchi Universe, Tenchi Muyo or Tenchi in Tokyo except Tenchi and his assorted relatives, and Ayeka. They are not allowed in it. Washu, Ryoko, Sasami, Mihoshi and Kiyone are. As a bonus, whoever has Sasami or Ryoko gets control of Ryo_Ohki. If both are taken... fight amongst yourselves for her or play jointly ^_^; But only one each of the original characters. If you want to sign up for an existing character, please include an original as a second choice, as I'll decide who should have the character based on post quality. I will be selective! I reseve the right to badger someone if the sign-up isn't right. As long as Harlequin doesn't mind, that is... Right, after all that, here's my sign-up: Name: Kyru Tierenan Age: 25 Gender: Male Affiliation: Galaxy Police Rank: Detective- Second Class. Weapons: One beam sword (see picture), and big hand-gun (probably called a Glock or Desert Eagle or something- I've never been macho enough to learn the names of handguns) Powers: Kyru can transform into a large bipedal wolf (see below), although he can't actually control when this happens. It tends to occur randomly and for varying periods of time. He loses the ability to talk when he is transformed and has to grunt, bark or howl to tell people what to do. Vehicle: Large red motorbike with two forward machineguns. Can sit a second person. Appearance: Normal, close-up Normal, body shot with sword. The guy at the bottom. Transformed NB: I am obsessed... History: Kyru's background is rather troubled- his father was from a wolf race (not unlike the Ctarl-Ctarl), but his mother was human. His father disappeared and his mother, upon finding her son to have transformed into a wolf thing and eaten his crib left him to grow up under the care of a sensei who lived in the mountains near his town. Here, the sensei tried to teach him (in vain) to gain the mental abilities to control his changes, but half-way through his training the mountains he was living in had to be knocked down to make way for an imperial palace and leisure spa. Disappointed and somewhat lost, he hitch-hiked to Gaia, whereupon he tried to hold down various jobs without success. His first brush with the Galaxy Police came as a courier, when he took a wrong turning on his motorbike and delivered a letter meant for the planet's ambassador to a vicious mafia gang. They then captured and held the ambassador to ransom. Feeling guilty at having caused so much trouble, he attempted a daring resue plan which went well until he realised he'd rescued the undercover GP agent sent to bring down the organisation from the inside. After a long and arduous battle the ambasador was rescued and Kyru managed to persuade the officer to get him a place in Squad 372. He works as a Detective Agent- Second Class and is very proud of his badge. Personality: Kyru is a good-natured person and has a strong sense of justice. He tries his best at his job and to help those around him, but often finds himself being led in the opposite direction by poor planning. He means well, but is prone to making embarrassing mistakes which can drop him in very big trouble. Enjoy! ^_^

Alaris sighed with relief, shaking his head at what had turned out to be a wild goose chase. Or chameleon chase, as the situation was. "Well, I'm glad you're safe." he mused as they walked out of the tunnels and back into the main chambers of the Capital. "But I don't like this plan of the fox-clones. Whatever they're trying to do, the humans are less than a mile from the city's inner walls. There's no way we'd be able to amass an army in time if they atacked. Even lining the walls with Uksos and completely destroying the Capital with them in it won't be enough to stop more waves of tem coming from other countries." Ben sighed. "You're being too analytical about it. The humans aren't going to do anything until the fox-clones say it's 'safe' for them to." Alaris' mind began to wander. He might be an efficient commander and warrior, but he could still never handle strategies very well. Certainly not as well as the foxes at any rate; their minds were a lot sharper than his. "Are you sure they're doing this for all races and not just their own? They're not exactly the most honourable of clones." Ben shrugged. "They'll have a lot to deal with if they are planning to use the Capital as a shield," he said while skipping a stone along the ground with his mental abilities. "So what, we just have to sit and wait until something happens?" Crystal huffed in irritation. "I'd much rather be doing something more productive." "We could always formulate a back-up plan in case things go wrong." Alaris suggested. "As clever as foxes are, we have to remember that humans were the ones who created us all in the first place. They'll always have an edge over us in technology. And if they want to end this war as badly as we do, they won't be afraid to use it."

Damn, still no Magician of Black Chaos... I'd have thought with Dark Magician Girl being affected by MOBC they'd at least release him in English first. I guess he'll be making an appearance in Dark Crisis in that case. Still, there are lots of other nice Spellcasters to have until then- Breaker, Chaos Command Magician, Black and White Skilled Magician etc. And Dark Paladin, of course.

I think Pokemon Advanced started airing on SkyOne a few weeks ago here. At least, that's what it's billed as being. We're up to the episode where
Ash finally goes up against Gary in the Masters League! Aaah! I can't wait to see that, heh. As of that episode, Misty's not yet split up with Ash.
I hope it has a little more diversity than previous seasons.

What would you do if life had an "undo" button?
Solo Tremaine replied to Kieko's topic in General Discussion
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I probably wouldn't change a thing. Everything happens for a reason. Even the **** in my life that I've gone through that so few people know about, I learned from it. If I didn't go through that, I have no idea how I'd be now. Better off? Worse off? How would I know? ... I don't sit and think about things I cannot control. Nor do I think how they could have worked out differently. I'm too preoccupied by what is at hand and I'm not about to waste my life away on hypothetical situations. I'm not always happy, but I'm not always sad either. At this point, I'm content with things despite not knowing what is coming. I don't obsess on the future, nor do I dwell on the past. Sure, I think about these things... but still. Not to the point where I'd ever let it rule me or make me wish it were different. I'm happy how things are now. Sometimes bad things have to happen for you to get where you are now. Sometimes you have to hurt people, ignore people, get them out of your life. Sometimes you have to do all you can do to keep them around. I wouldn't wish away any harm I've caused anyone. Somtimes it has a beneficial effect, sometimes not. It's just life.
That sums my thoughts up exactly. The only major event that I could change would be breaking my leg when I was eight. It sounds pretty trivial (especially compared to what Semjaza was describing), but it really did make me who I am now, and I wouldn't want to change that for anything. I suppose... there are just little things- realising that the people I was friends with for a year and a half weren't actually my friends and I wish I'd moved on to find the better group a lot sooner, if only to be able to spend more time with them during those years. I guess you could consider that time as being rather wasted in that respect, because I wasn't living it as greatly as I could be, floating to one place or another. but even then it still worked out alright. Even smaller than that would be the tiny things I regret- slips of the tongue, just really stupid things I've said or done that I still regret today because they make me seem like a stupid idiot. But regret is there for a reason- to prevent us from making the same mistake twice. And I sure as hell won't do that again. -
No, Snodin's right: Book of Moon's Effect: Flip 1 face-up monster on the field into face-down Defense Position So you could use it with Face-Up attack position monsters, either your opponent's or your own. If you have a Flipe-Effect monster put into Attack Position as a cause of Shadow of Eyes or Stop Defense you can put it back into Defense Position and re-use it.
Originally posted by Kakashi You've missed the Black Magician of Chaos, the new member from 307...it's basically the Magician of Black Chaos as a regular effect monster. It brings back a magic card from your graveyard if successfully summoned or special summoned, and all monsters it destroys in battle are removed from the game. It's only drawback are the two tributes required to bring it to the field and that when it leaves the field, it gets removed from the game. It's certainly one of the more powerful incarnations to date.
Now that does sound nice. I love The MOBC/BMOC's design; to have him as a regular effect monster would be really great. I'm not sure which version's being released in Magician's Force; I read a slightly-less-than-wholly-accurate card list and it had one MOBC, I can't remember which. It's probably the Ritual. IDamn, I don't want to have to wait any longer to add him to my Deck. I don't see the removed from play as being too much of a drawback- there are a few ways of getting him back into play (or at least into the Graveyard, anyway). If you've had other monsters removed from play you could use Miracle Dig, for example...

Only one question at a time, though- seeing as Takuya got there first I'd suggest giving it to him for the time being, even if it wasn't the exact answer y6ou were looking for. I have spoken, heh
