1. harpiesbrother1, please try and improve your post quality. Posts with huge amounts of smilies are irritating to have to read through and this thread's bordering on spam as it is- I've half a mind to close it now, seeing as there's little actual discussion that can come from it. I'll leave it open for now, but please keep discussion as intelligent as possible.
2. Or, alternatively, go to www.gamefaqs.com. Posts that short are considered SPAM and are against the rules, Duelist_D. Try and improve your post quality, please.
3. The first editions, according to ToyWiz, come out on the 17th July. I'm guessing (and hoping) it contains the sets with Jackal Paladin in it- I think that's more likely than BLS, I'm afraid.
4. OOC: Can we lay off the Godmodding a bit? I know they're a new and powerful enemy, but even the Toa wouldn't be dispatched in one hit, realistically. Unless that's the point of the beginning of the RPG... but fights can be a lot more interesting if there's thought and preparation in them. Just my two cents. -------------------------- Panrahk grinned in satisfaction as the Pohatu Nuva lay motionless on the ground. He hadn't been able to fully blow him apart, but at least he'd disabled him. Several villagers* watched him from a distance. He could see them trembling behind the trees, unsure of whether to run and help their guardians or run away. Smiling, he made their decision for them. He whirled round, brandishing his staff at them. Channeling his energy through the powerful weapon, an explosion sent the villagers flying in all directions, crashing into obstacles with sickening crunches. He looked back at the others. "Are we ready?" he growled. Lerahk smiled as he stuck the end of his staff into the red Toa Nuva and twisted it slightly, letting the poison flow into his body. "Now we are." The two of them let out a short evil laugh. Their ascension would be unstoppable. As Panrahk strode over to one of the villagers, Pohatu's leg twitched slightly... ----------------------------- OOC: *Help, I can't remember their names >_
5. Bearing in mind there is a difference between a hexagram and the Star of David. Although almost the same in form, they aren't necessarily synonymous. It's hard to tell from that picture anyway. Maybe it's a Pent-and-a-halfagram :p
6. Whoops- I meant to say I was applying for one of the Good Digidestined from Seasons 1 and 2, heh. My bad ^_^;
7. You don't draw from a Side-Deck during a Duel. you can only swap the cards in there for cards in your Deck inbetween Duels. My favourite card to play at the moment is Barrel Dragon, because it allows me to get rid of two monsters (hopefully) on each turn. And bearing in mind that only one opponent's monster can be summoned per turn, it means a fair bit of Direct Damage can be done, heh.
8. When I was at an orthopedic hospital for my leg being operated on, I saw many people who had scoliosis. It's really no joke- it can be seriously dehabilitating. This boy I met was only about three, but was there every single time I was over a three-year period. He was wearing his plaster-cast like a vest, and had a large metal frame over his head. I've no idea how his treatment got on, but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Being pregnant can cause scoliosis at times, but only if you're dredisposed to developing it anyway. I doubt severe cases can be caused by environmental stress less than, say, a car crash, but that's more likely to break your back rather than anything else. Good luck, wrist-cutter.
9. Well now, with the new Pharonic Guardians boosters coming out on the 17th, I'm really looking forward to Jackal Paladin. Not only because I have an obsession with wolves and other doggy things, heh, but because his effect is really nasty/good, depending whose side you're on: Every card destroyed by this monster is not sent to the Graveyard, but to the top of your opponent's Deck. Nice. A forced Sword of Deep Seated effect on every card, which stops them from drawing, more or less.
10. Name: Kier Eslain Age: 17 Crest: Strength Digimon: BladeGabumon Digivolutions: BladeGabumon (Rookie), Lupaedramon (Champion), ArxLupaedramon (Ultimate), Solarismon (Mega) Continent: England Short Bio and Personality: Kier had always wished for something more in his life, something more adventurous. When he heard that the original digidestined had disappeared, he suddenly wished he could go back to the normal and more peacful life he once had- it wasn;t worth it for the sake of the world. Often, he thinks that he wished for all this to happen. His digimon, BladeGabumon, is always at his side and vows never to let him come to harm.
11. You can use the effect again, yes. It's a useful way of reusing flip monsters, if a little costly. And I'm guessing you would be able to Flip Summon her in the same turn, because it's a Special Summon.
12.
And then to the Sirius's-death-thingy: do you really believe he's gone for good? I mean, the man fell to a dimension gate of some sort, and everybody just automatically assume he's gone? Even such intelligent characters like Dumbledore! Seriously, if Rowling would've want to delete Sirius, she probably would have made him die while covering Harry or something... Trust my word, Sirius will make a comeback!!! Though I didn't even like him very much... I'm a catperson, see? ;)
So what do you think about my theories? *turns on Frasier-voice* I'm listening...
That was my first reaction, too.
(Whoops, almost forgot the tags >__
13.
Originally posted by KnightOfTheRose As a drawback, I am now immune to most standard antibiotics.
That can happen if you rely on them too much- you need so much more to be able to get an effect because your body becomes immune to it. In terms of problems for myself, I don't think I have anything too serious. Only broken bones for me, and they heal fairly nicely. Oh, apart from low blood pressure. If I get up from anywhere too quickly I pass out. Even if I just sat down o_o; I get head rushes fairly often and used to have a severe problem with nosebleeds, almost having two a day at some points. I don't get that now, though. I think it's a genetic thing, because my mum used to have really really bad ones when she was young, some of which she had to be hospitalised for. I'm not depressed to the point of no return, and I don't think I ever have been. The only thing I could think of that I might have is an inferiority complex, but it'd only be minor and sporadic if I did. In the family, there's coronary heart disease, bowel cancer (which I stand a high risk of getting in later life), diabetes, strokes, osteoporosis, high and low blood pressures and nosebleeds, but how many of these are due to circumstantial events isn't known. Needless to say, I do everything I can to lower my chances of getting them (eat well, lots of exercise, etc).
14. Bearing in mind this is more or less what people do when they build a themed Deck anyway (like Altron said). The better Decks will have their monsters under attributes and sub-types that fit together anyway, such as Spellcaster/Fiend, Dragon/Winged Beast/Thunder. I don't think much discussion will come from this, as most duellists do this in the course of making a Deck in the first place. So, I'm closing the thread.
15. No, Bottomless Trap Hole would only get one of them. Which one that would be is up to interpretation, but bearing in mind it's supposed to be activated when there's a Summon, it'd most likely be the first one your opponent puts on the field. But you may be able to choose.
16. Try and keep posts a bit longer in future, Duelist_D. I understand that you're new here, but we try to make sure that posts on OB have a good amount of substance to them. Welcome to the boards, by the way ^_^ Be sure to read the Rules and have fun. if you have any problems, feel free to PM me.
17. That's what he was just saying, Domon. I'd really like to see the mangas anywhere here. Whatever series it is, I want to see how it all started out. The UK gats a really bad market for comics/manga/anime, as I've often complained about.
18. Valkyrion and St Joan fell back to the castle gates, looking on at the battle with grave expressions. "Are you sure this will work?" she asked. Valkyrion looked up at the top of the castle, where Silistra was waiting, ready to perform her White Hole spell to save them from being trapped in the abyss. "I hope so. I didn't have enough time to fully plan it out. All we can do is fight with hope. We can't afford to lose." * * * Jinzo smiled as the remaining Light soldiers started to fall back. Soon they would be upon the greatest source of power in the entire universe- Exodia. A wisp of smoke appeared next to him, signifying the appearance of Dark Necrofear and Doma at his side. They looked at him with looks of equal darkness as the thought of dismembering those who had defied them for so long swept into their minds. Just as the Red Eyes landed by the broken gates of the city, a large Beast of Talwar crashed down to the ground. He'd been hit by something coming from behind them. Immediately, he looked back to the forest to see what it was...
19. I'm really sorry, Lady M. I'm not sure if any words will be able to do justice to the pain you must be feeling. But our hearts are with you, and all we can do is take comfort in knowing that Christophe is in safe hands now. He was, and always will be the world to you, and even though he was only with you for such a short time, his love will always be there. Take care.
20. They're in the Kaiba Starter Deck, not any of the booster sets.
21. Assuming it is: Tristan: Bakura, did you make that milk float turn over? Bakura: *bubbles*

otaku prom

Just as Solo flipped over the card, an IM window appeared from nowhere, making him jump and causing his cards to scatter all over the floor. "Hi!" Domon chirrupped. "Hey Domon." Solo sighed, picking up his cards. "Have you heard about the prom?" Solo nodded. "Yeah." "So?" "So... what?" Solo looked at the cards on the floor. there were two monsters that he could see- one with 1400 attack points, and one with 2200. He shoved them back into his deck and shuffled them again. "So... are you going?" Domon asked. "I don't know yet." And he really didn't. It was a bit of a silly idea to risk it over a flip of a card, though. He'd think about it later. "Hey, fancy a duel?"

otaku prom

OOC: Hehe, cool ^_^ ---------------------------------- Solo sat in the Yu-Gi-Oh forum, inspecting his cards. It was a remarkably sunny day. The various types of rares glinted in the light, reflecting waves of rainbow colours. Just as he set Barrel Dragon on top of his Deck, an Announcement popped onto the screen at the top of the room. There was going to be a Prom held at OB. Solo thought for a moment. He never usually went to balls, proms, dances or discos. Or anything with remotely loud music, usually. He read the anouncement through a few times, before shuffling his Deck again and dealing out some fresh cards. He'd been here for a year now and the Otaku Yearbook was the only major event he'd really taken part in so far, besides a few prestigious RPGs. It was certainly tempting. But it just seemed like too much trouble. First you needed an outfit, and then you had to go through all that trouble of finding someone who won't run away at first sight of you and who won't end up drunk on the floor at the end of it to go with. Mind you, these people were different to those he'd met before. OB people were (for the most part) sensible and kind. It hadn't occurred to him to actually go and ask someone out before. Usually he thought it would be best to wait to be asked, in case of numerous awkward situations that could arise. He shuffled his Deck again. If he drew a Monster with over 2000 Attack points, he'd go. He picked the top card from his Deck and flipped it over.
24. I wanted an Otakumon too ^_^ The main reason I was looking around in the first place was for a place to put my Digimon fanfic. That brought me to theOtaku.com, where there seemed to be a nice number of people with them- I didn't want to put it on a site with about six hundred different authors else mine'd hardly get read. While browsing around, I found the Otakumons and thought it'd be great to have one. So, I joined up with the boards and the rest is history. That was one year and two days ago ^_^
25. Indeed- the Rate My Deck! thread is right at the top of the page. Please be sure to check existing threads carefully. One thing I would say about your Deck is to cut down on the number of cards. There are huge amounts there, and that doesn't serve to much of an advantage. Ekibyo Drakmord isn't very effective, either. You'd be much better with Michizure or something. Welcome to the boards, harpiesbrother1. Be sure to read the rules and have fun :)
