1. Yeah, but you imagine if someone's playing with a whole load of Nimble Momongas or Dian Ketos or whatever- If they can delay you sufficiently then you run the risk of losing simply through running out of cards. And besides, the point of this thread is to get criticisms and suggestions for your Deck. Whether you take them on board or not is your decision. If all you're going to do is shoot down what everyone else says there's not really much point posting in here.
 2. I like the concept ^_^ Although that last paagrph could use a little work. He's not possessed, as such- he's completely transformed into this huge monster. So I think the people around him may be more than a little worried, hehe. Just as a by-note- Be sure to vary your language to make things more diverse- how did the armour appear, for example, and how did he jump/leap/soar, etc. Just little things like that can make the difference between one dramatic effect and another. But it's very cool so far ^_^
 3. I found I had the same problem with my banner this morning. All I did was re-enter the URL of the attachment and it was back up again.
 4. Thanks for keeping an eye on things, but there's no need to be that strict. Bearing mind it's my job to sort out spam anyway, I'd have let that go. It's not like it was intentionally harmful, and it does have relevance to the topic. So yeah- I'll worry about the spam, the main thing to keep the thread going is to make sure the pictures are posted by the right people.
 5.
Originally posted by Altron Gundam Oh man..--; I really feel the urge to flame you right now..but I'll resist that.
Please don't, heh. ;)
To tip odds in my favor and get rid of ppl that run multiple Wabokus, Extermination is perfect. Royal Command is a joke for a non-trample deck. And if its on the field when I search for Cyber Pod, I'm screwed.
Yeah, but the cards are removed from both decks. There's no guarantee that you'll hit the card you want to hit, becauyse NOE gets rid of face-down cards, and you can't tell what they're going to be. So, if you used NOE to get rid of their card and it was, say, Mirror Force, then you'd have lost that to. But yeah, having them get rid of all of theirs could be useful. I wouldn't get too cocky about flawless, though. With all those GST's all you'd need is someone with Fairy Meteor Crush or something and you could be in trouble. I know the aim is to be a fast Deck, but there's no guarantee that you'll get exactly the cards you need. There are ways around everything, hehe. Jinzo means you can't activate your traps either, for one. Although to counter that you have very few traps, I guess. Needle Worm (not that many people would come across that) can be a problem against any type of Deck. Although with multiple copies of most cards I guess you won't lose out on too much. In all, it does look an extremely effective Deck. I'm sure there must be more ways round it, hehe.
 6.
Originally posted by LetalisNox Think about it. Heero and Duo (voted in the top five of favorite anime couples by Animerica magazine) have a great camaraderie in the risk-their-lives-for-each-other sense, while Relena comes off as clingy and goody-goody. Kenshin and Sano are always going off to fight together and what-not, while Kaoru just mopes about her feelings for Kenshin. Wolfwood is the first person to see through Vash's false smiles (Quote from Wolfwood: "Your smile is so empty that it's painful to look at.") and from then on he and Vash establish a relationship more touching than anything Vash makes with Meryl (who does little more than berate him) by the series' end.
I think that's just coincidence- when you're starting out or developing a relationship, I reckon you'll be more likely to be open to people of the same sex who you aren't going to necessarily start a relationship with in order to get things off your chest before they ruin the potential bond with the one you will love. Friends will always do things together and have a different (and sometimes stronger) relationship than those they're destined to go out with, just because it's a different kind of interaction.
So many male/female relationships in popular anime are one-sided, fueled only by the argument of traditional romance in comparison with homosexual romance, an argument losing power more and more everyday. Is this intentional?
I think the reasons 'traditional' relationships are more prominent in anime is because they are the ones more typical to the story stereotypes. That's not to say yaoi relationships are any less interesting, but girl falling in love with guy or vice-versa is how it's more or less always been and generally that's what people want to see. Animes are written to be watched, after all ^_^ So they have to pander at least slightly to the cliches already there else it'll be too strange to fully identify with.
 7. There is always the voice chat option on AIM if you're really interested. It's only one-on-one, so to speak, but better than nothing.
 8.
I think Harry and Luna would be good (I'm not the keen on Cho, personally), but I'd hardly say they were 'hinted at' at the end- that was more hope for Sirius returning, I thought. Personally, I think Ron should end up with Hermione- there is no-one else for either of them, really. Harry and Hermione would be too boring, and just doesn't seem right to my mind.
9. Panrahk: Bio: The Panrahk is strong, exceptionally fast, and possessed of incredible endurance. But his true power lies in his staff, which can cause objects to fly apart with a mere touch. It can also be used to cause explosions at a distance. Even the strongest koro walls cannot long stand against Panrahk?s raw power! As he walks, the soil beneath his feet blows apart in a series of small explosions ? these sounds serve as warning to the Matoran of this Rahkshi?s approach. These things look so cool ^___^ Is that okay for a sign-up? Do I need to post anything more?
 10. Hey, I ordered a Diet Coke, dammit!
 11. Aidian watched the city from the hillside on his horse, tightening the grip on his white-wood glaive. From behind him, he heard some of the troops muttering to themselves. "I've a great girl back home. She's really fantastic." "Yeah? Me too. She has golden-brown hair, blue eyes..." Aidian stopped listening and growled under his breath. Love was a weakness. Compassion only got in the way of ultimate goals. So many people had given up their greatest dream for the ones they 'loved'. If they really loved them back then they'd be willing to help them to their dreams rather than holding them back. A thin whisp of icy air floated from his lips. It was time to launch the attack.
Originally posted by KnightOfTheRose I think I'll ask Ken...
You two would be so cool together, lol ^_^ I would go, but I suck at dancing, heh. Wouldn't this be better in the Recruitment forum, where people can post things like name, age, s/n or whatever (if you're playing yourself on OB), and then whoever you'd want to go with? At least that way you can get started with less confusion.
 13. Valkyrion's heavy sword sliced through a troop of Skull Servants with sickening ease, as hundreds more started piling over the walls, their hideous moans and cackles piercing his audio sensors. Suddenly, something slammed into his chest, sending him crashing to the floor. The massive Tri-Horned Dragon loomed over him, growling menacingly and dripping saliva from its hungry jaws. Just as it lunged forwards to strike, a blue streak of lightning shot from the sky and burnt it to a crisp, along with several monsters nearby. Valkyrion looked to the source of the power- Chaos' Torrential Tribute attack had worked well. Leaping through the air, he attacked the monsters below while they lay seige to the Light realm's main city. They were near defenceless hanging on the walls, so picking them off was more than easy. He swung his curved blade through the air, ripping apart monsters on all sides of him. Valkyrion took to the air again and brought down his Swords of Revealing Light onto a crowd of monsters who had broken down a hole in the marble wall. "Valkyrion!" He whirled round at the sound of the metallic voice. Jinzo's purple eyes shone threateningly. "Jinzo!" he growled, brandishing his sword at him. The machine let out a hollow laugh. "Your attempts to protect yourself are futile. You will never win." "Your evil will never succeed, Jinzo! We will always stand against you, and Light will always penetrate the darkness." Jinzo waved his hand and a crowd of Giltia disappeared, screaming in terror. "The stronger the light, the blacker the darkness. We already have four Exodia pieces, why bother trying to resist?" "Because you have no right to live." "It is not a question of right, impudent fool!" Jinzo roared. "It is a question of power, and right now I have more than you ever will!" He held out his hand and clenched his fist. Immediately, a dark shadow began spreading over Valkyrion's body. The Viral Crush was quick to act, and deadly. He could feel his joints rusting over one by one as the shadow crawled over his entire body. He began to feel weak, and his body fell down to the ground... Suddenly, a yellow circle of light appeared beneath him and wisps of dark smoke rose from the ground, eliminating the rust as it passed over his limbs. "Magic Jammer!" St Joan caught the metal warrior as he hit the ground. From above them, Jinzo cursed and gave the forces the signal to advance further into the city.
 14. I don't think we've ever had huge problems with ants, but a few weeks ago there was a swarm of bees in my bedroom o_o; That was rather worrying. Thankfully, they were rather dopey and easy to catch so we put them out of the window. If we do get ants (and it's usually only one or two at a time), we squish 'em. That way they can't get back to the nest to bring back more ants. Another thing to do is make sure any holes in the skirting board or floor are covered up/filled in. If there's no way to get in then they shouldn't bother you.
 15. I've only been a Member and a Moderator, and I'd have to say that the event of becoming a mod certainly brought me new friends, mostly because I had to get AIM to be able to communicate with people. I enjoy it, because I'm able to actively do things about spam- as useful as 'Report this post to a moderator' is, it's still not the same as doing it yourself, which a lot more satisfying, heh. It's not a power trip as such, just nice to actually do something. Having said that, you do have to be careful in your decisions- being sure that you don't offend anyone is rather nerve-wracking at times, especially if you have to deal with something a little controversial (not that I have, really). You do sometimes get rattled by people who object to various actions, which is also frustrating because all you're really trying to do is help. You also have to set an example to everyone else, so making sure your post quality is always fine and that you're making valid points can be somewhat trying. I'm not sure what it would be like becoming a Member again. I guess I'd feel lost for a while- I like having a responsibility to the Boards and it's become sort of routine now. But even then, I think it might be nice to kind of let my hair down, as it were. Having said that, I think I'd probably get into the old habits and just start madly reporting posts, heh. Just being on OB at all is nice, being a Moderator just makes it more interesting, if not necessarily better. I do enjoy it, though.
 16. That's relatively annoying, I must say- I agree with AzureWolf about the fairly poor gaming treatment we're given in this country- it's not fair when you see how much else to do with games you see in the US and Japan. Grante, we're a smaller market, but that shouldn't mean we're any less of gaming fans or whatever I have a Freeloader, but I use it to play UK games on my US console, because I (surprise surprise) imported a GameCube for being fed up of waiting for the Uk release, which at the time was due several months later. The UK is very much a PlayStation country, in this way- GameCubes are kind of looked down upon certainly by many people I know, and I think it's just because Nintendo have almost failed to try to bother and get a grip on the market here. Having said that, I think it'll be useful to the market for the PAL sales to increase and will give more incentive for Nintendo to actually release games rather then let them suddenly appear on the shelves after six months. Although it does annoy me- I was hoping to import Digimon Rumble Arena 2 and Starfox, simply to save me time having to put the Freeloader in every time I wanted to play. I hope they won't put an anti-FreeLoader thing on the PAL games, else I'll be very stuck- my US gamecube wouldn't play my UK games and I'd have to get a UK gamecube which may not be able to play US games o_o; Damn them.
 17. That's very interesting and kind of heartwarming to know, but hardly surprising. The fanbase of Yu-Gi-Oh has never been small, and it's not going to get much smaller soon, either. Even *shock* The UK is holding part of the tournament now. I think it just goes to show that Yu-Gi-Oh is a CCG well pulled-off with a decent anime behind it.
 18. Yep, that's its name in the series too. Thanks for answering the question, DM. Seeing as that's been answered, I'm going to close the thread now.
 19. I'm guessing it's mostly a Light/Spellcaster deck you're aiming for? If so, I'd swap the Dark Magicians for Wingweavers, as they kind fo contradict the rest of the monsters in your deck. Wingweavers have a higher attack for the same number of Tributes, too. Same with Harpie's Brother- you could put in a Hysteric Fairy in its place, unless you wanted to keep them in specially. You could probably do a lot better than Flame Manipulator as well- I'd personally go for something with better stats. Bearing in mind, this is only something I'd do personally- what you put in your Deck is entirely up to you, heh ^_^ Traps- House of Adhesive Tape isn't that great- you could have another Trap Hole/Bottomless Trap Hole if you could get it. Michizure's probably more useful than Two-Pronged Attack, too- I never tend to use that one myself.
 20. I'm not sure what I believe. It's nice to think that when we die we do have somewhere to go, but more often than not there are scientific explanations for these things. I never bother watching these 'World's Most Haunted' any more (not that I really did in the first place) because I just think 'Oh, that's all to do with electromagnetic frequencies' and things like that. It has been proven that in houses and rooms which people claim to be haunted, there are abmormal amounts of electromagnetic waves bouncing around and these can converge at a single point. If you stand on this point, you can experience strange phenomena such as seeing things. Feng Shui has a scientific basis on this level- The Chinese knew that moving things around made things better or worse, depending on how you did it and this (without knowingly) may well have been to do with the various waves inside the room. There was this woman who kept having these really horrible religious nightmares in which she kept seeing the end of the world and other things which can probably only be best matched by Urotsukidoji. After calling in a Feng Shui consultant they rearranged the room and she had no prblem. A scientific analysis of the room in its original position showed that the mirror along with various other items of furniture caused a standing wave where her pillow was, and when other people laid down there they said they experienced strange feelings too. In a similar way, when a fencing master was holding a foil in a vice in the middle of his workshop (which was full of mirrors), he suddenly noticed the blade vibrating very quickly and very loudly. He assumed that there was a ghost in there, but when he moved the mirrors it stopped. Often, what people say is a ghostly figure standing over a grave is Will 'o the Wisp: when flammable gases given off by the corpse are slowly ignited as they hit the air. Having said that, I don't think anything can ever entirely be taken as entirely true or false. There may well be ghosts- I can't explain ghostly screams in 'haunted' castles or anything like that, but the human mind does like playing tricks on people sometimes.
 21. OOC: I'm really sorry for the delay, anyone who's still reading this:- I'm confused myself as to what's going to happen- I think I made it too complicated >_< The general idea is that Valkyrion hopes to trick them into summoning Exodia so that they can attack them off-guard- since Exodia will only obey whoever's summoned it, he's asked Melody to take control of Dark Necrofear for long enough to stop Exodia from attacking them so Silistra can seal it back in the slabs. Nexcii then has Dark Hole waiting to seal the other Dark forces away forever (in theory). Silistra is at the top of the temple, ready to activate White Hole and save the people of the other realms. Everyone else is wherever you want them to be. I hope that's okay. I'm sorry if I've been to controlling with a few characters, but thank you so much everyone for signing up and helping it get to where it has. --------------------------------------- Valkyrion gripped his sword tightly. He could feel his wings quivering slightly as the Dark shadow in the distance drew closer. Suddenly, the ground began to shake. A huge fissure ripped through the ground and thundered towards the temple, sending soldiers falling into the blackness below. St Joan and Valkyrion leapt out of the way just in time. Jinzo's warning shot. This was it. "Advance!" he yelled. Hundreds of troops in front of him raced towards the walls of the city, where legions of Summoned Skulls were already beginning to break through the marbles archways. Flocks of Whiptail Crows dived down from the skies, attacking the troops standing down below. Blue Eyes launched straight into them, firing his White Lighting attack and forcing them to scatter in all directions. Jinzo watched on in disdain. They would have no chance of survival. The Red Eyes Black Dragon he stood upon growled hungrily as they drew closer to the gates of the city. Below them, Tri-Horned Dragons ripped down trees and walls to get ahead, eager to rip apart their enemies. Valkyrion sliced his sword down through a Skull Knight, splitting it in two. Soon enough, they would be surrounded and Jinzo would come for the Exodia piece. The more enemies they could destroy before Nexcii activated Dark Hole, the better. Soon they would have to withdraw back to the temple and they would have to relinquish the final Exodia slab to Jinzo. He ducked behind a pillar to avoid a Summoned Skull's lightning strike, hoping that this would be enough. ----------------------------------- OOC: Go nuts, heh.
 22. Dark Robed Sage Dark/Spellcaster/Effect Level: 9 Attack 2800 Defense: 3200 Effect: The Monster can only be Special Summoned, and only from your hand or deck by sacrificing a "Dark Magician" card when a "Time Wizard" card successfully uses its effect. At that time, you may search your deck for 1 Magic card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.
 23. That's true.
But I still dislike Snape for refusing to let Harry continue. He must have known how important it was to him and to Dumbledore, but he did nothing. I know it was a very distant and in many ways disturbing memory, but... I dunno. I think I'm in denial, heh. Um... it's spelt 'Pensieve', by the way ^_^;
24.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka It is so funny for me to read all of these replies about people being upset about the death scene. I wasn't even phased.
I guess I never got attached the Sirius all that much. Now, if it was Lupin, then I probably would have gotten very frustrated. I really REALLY like him for some reason.

Well... I guess for me the death scene itself wasn't so upsetting as such-
it was just the fact that it was him. As a scene it was fairly surreal- there was no lingering goodbye, or even a body left behind or anything. He just disappeared. I was glad that it wasn't Lupin, though. At least he's still here. But I liked Sirius more, personally. He seems to be a stronger character to me. I thought it was good of Dumbledore to stay distant, but as we see the story more or less through Harry's eyes he's pictured up until that point to be rather infuriating, because that's what Harry feels- we don't see Dumbledore's side to it until much later, although I guessed he'd have a good reason for it. He usually does, heh. Although his plan didn't work this time. And that was another thing that was probably so shocking about it was that Dumbledore made a mistake in not telling Harry what had happened for so long and mis-judging him in a way. But damnit! If only Harry'd kept up with his Occlumency lessons... There are so many mized feelings about all the characters in the book- we see so many different sides to everyone in it. Sirius, Harry, Dumbledore. It's fantastically diverse.
25. OOC: Key to what? I wouldn't introduce too much that's story-influencing in a big way yet without asking LK, because it might not be what she has planned. ------------------------------------- Aidian's horse marched up and down in front of the plaottons of soldiers waiting for their orders to march. "Once the heavy artillery has fired into the town we'll advance." he ordered to one of the lieutenants, who nodded sharply. Aidian sat for a while. What was taking them so long? Suddenly, Sei appeared at his side. "M'Lord, one of the trebuchets has become stuck in the soft ground. The artillery cannot all move to the requested destination." she said softly, watching Aidian's face twist in frustration. "Where are they?" * * * Aidian surveyed the incapacitated siege weapon. Two of its wheels had fallen into a boggy part of the grass, and blocked the way for the others to get past. "We'll just have to try and fire from here." he said disapprovingly, looking down on the castle. "It's not the angle we want, but it will have to do." He turned to the weapon operators and snarled. "Just make sure not to hit any of my men. Once we're inside the town, cease fire. Understand?" Aidian flicked his horse's reins and galloped part-way down the hillside. "Fire on my signal!" he yelled back to them, continuing on his way towards the infantry.
