Lupaemon felt a little sheepish. She didn't have to slap him... but at least she was moving. He kept that in mind as they walked out. It made him feel better to know she was out of her depressive state. As they drew closer to the light, Lupaemon looked over the top of the pipe blocking their path. It was his Spirit. He just needed to get to it. "But..." he started. "What?" Tesoromon asked, half-way through clambering underneath the pole. "It could be your spirit." Lupaemon thought out loud. The Spirit moved away slightly. Tesoromon sighed. "Do you want me to hit you again?" she said playfully. "I'm a fox Hybrid, you're a wolf Hybrid. That is not a fox. Now go and get it." Lupaemon smiled. "Yes, sir." He crawled through the small gap and looked at the Beast Spirit in awe. "What do I do?" he whispered. "Just... get it! How did you get your other one?" Lupaemon shrugged. It had been years since that day, and he didn't remember much of it. He was ten, and had been looking at the computer. All of a sudden something came out of the computer and entered his body, and the next thing he knew he was lying in a hospital bed, with people muttering 'monster' all around him. He hoped that wasn't going to happen again. He didn't want to hurt Kaede. "Here goes..." He held out his hand to touch the Spirit. A white light illuminated the cave and launched into Lupaemon's arm, then enveloped his body. Slowly it faded, and he stood rather shakily where the Spirit had been. Tesoromon gave him an apprehensive look. "Did it work?" Lupaemon nodded, relief flowing through him. He could control it now. "Come on, let's get out of here." Lupaemon called, making his way up a narrow passageway pointing directly upwards. "This looks to be the most direct way to the surface. Who knows where we'll come out..."

I'm not too sure how often you go into OL any more, but I'm not afraid to say that you're one of the nicest people I've ever known. Everything you've been through only makes you stronger. Your writing's amazing and I know you can do well if you put yourself to it.-Hugo James- I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me. I don't think I could have asked for more when coming to a site, and having you as the director makes it all the better ^_^ Even though you're probably up to your eyeballs in work you can always find time for us, and you're always willing to listen to any problems we may have. I'll never forget that first conversation we had when you offered me a place as a Moderator. Hehe, I was actually shaking ^_^; Thank you so much. -Solo Weh- Hehe, I love our conversations that we have ^_^ They really are something special (and not just because of the unique grammar, lol)- you can always make me smile, even if I've had the worst day in the world, and that means a lot to me. You look great in a leather coat ;) -Rapps Lady Katana- Ah, Kei ^_^ Wonderfully friendly and amiable, you're always willing to listen to my rants or worries, and I really appreciate that. It's always fun talking to you, even if you happen to be falling off a chair at the time, hehe. -Fire Fox Red- heh, the very second person I spoke to on AIM, and someone who's been on my Buddy List ever since. We don't get to talk nearly as much as I'd like any more, but I still hold you in the highest respects that I ever did (which includes running away from the 300ft Potato, hehe). No matter what, you've always been there, and even though we've not been able to talk, it's still been a reassurance ^_^ I wish you all the best for the future. -Solo Sara- Heh, just quoting this from your post makes me realise how long this must have taken you to type ^_^; We've only had a few talks with each other, but I really enjoy them. You always have something interesting to say and know exactly how to say it. Your compassion towards everyone speaks miles for you- I'm sure you'll be happy in whatever you do. -Solo Syk3- Heh, we became mods in more or less the same day ^_^ We've not talked much, but when we did they were always fun. Your banners always impress me, and you certainly fit your position as SuperMod very well :) -Turtle Dan L- Where are you, Dan? It's been a while since I last saw you around. When we first met things were... more than a little insane, to say the least ^_^; 300ft Potatoes, lakes of cheese... after getting to know you more I found a much more thoughtful and compassionate side, but neither side is better than the other- you know when people are feeling down and know exactly what to say to make them feel better, be it serious or hilarious. Stay well, heh. -Soley dude Rain- Ashy! My first wife, hehe ^_^ There's not much more to say, really- being you is what makes you so great to know. Our conversations are always happy ventures and you can always tell if I'm not feeling so good, and you're more than willing to help make me feel better. It's lovely talking to you ^_^ -The Squidge King Duo Maxwell- I'm glad I've gotten to know you, Duo. We have a lot in common, and it's nice to have someone to rant at and who will completely understand, even if it seems rather trivial, heh. It's always good talking to you, and entertaining as well. Your randomness does you credit ^_^ -Soley Lady Asphyxia- It's strange... the first thing that drew me to you was your mentioning of spaghetti carbonara in the 'Just for Fun' thread, lol. We have a lot in common, and it's great talking to you. Your writing style reflected in your personality- both witty and intelligent, making conversations with you even more interesting ^_^ Solo Digital Monster- *bows to the Digi-Mod* Heh, my very first post was a double-post in the Digimon forum. I hope I managed to pass that newbie first impression I must have given you ^_^; Talking to you about how annoying UK scheduling is is always a laugh, as are our duels. -Solo KittyLynn- Your ever-optimistic mood is always refreshing ^_^ You never seem to have a bad word to say about anyone, and I'm glad I've gotten to know you. Even if we only do get to talk when I'm about to go to bed >_< -Soly Mitch- Ah, Mitch. A fantastically deep person, you are. I've not talked to you nearly as much as I'd like to. You have incredible compassion and perception, and I think it does you a great credit, for you and your poetry :) -Sowo

Heh, maybe. I think that's too complicated, though. People love internet slang, and Webl wouldn't have fitted very well.

Anime That card you're really looking forward to
Solo Tremaine replied to DeathBug's topic in Otaku Central
I'm not sure about this expansion yet. It all looks very good, but I think the card I'm most interested in at the moment is Fusion Sword Murasame Blade ^_^; Airknight Parshath looks quite good, though. I like Warriors and Spellcasters. The thing about this expansion is the huge number of Spirits. I don't like them that much, personally. -
Fox ripped his red scarf from his neck and crammed it into Falco's wound. "Hold on, Falco. I'll get you to the medical bay." he said, his voice tinted with panic. Falco nodded weakly and groaned as Fox hauled him onto his shoulder. For evolving from a race of creatures meant to fly, Falco was surprisingly heavy. Carefully, but as quickly as possible, Fox carried Falco to the sick bay where he laid him on a gurney and pushed him over to ROB, who was waiting patiently. "ROB, he's been stabbed." Fox said urgently. "Affermative." ROB's metallic, monotone voice boomed. Gadgets started appearing from the robot's midriff and immediately began working on Falco. He should be safe now. At least, Fox dearly hoped so. Clenching his fist, anraged by the cruelty of the Next-Gen, he ran back to the upper deck. * * * The Great Fox was coming closer to a suitable landing site now. About 2 kilometeres from the castle was a clearing in the forest with several massive wooden-looking mushrooms in it. Needless to say, the villagers of the Mushroom Kingdom didn't look to happy at the thought of a starship landing on their houses, and quickly ran outside to shoo the Great Fox away. Quickly relocating to an area of grass some way behind the castle, the Great Fox landed extremely noisily, blowing away several trees with its engines and crushing more with its hull. Inside, the alarms stopped as the engines ran down. Sephiroth looked around him. The walls didn't seem that thick. Drawing back his sword, he slammed it through the metal beside him. It took some reaching, but eventually he could see a crack of daylight. Ripping the metal further apart with his bear hands, he looked outside. It was a completely different planet. The trees below looked safe enough to jump on. But even if they weren't, he'd survive. he could survive anything. Moreso than those pathetic 16-bit creations. As he left to jump out, he heard something behind him. A flash of red fizzed into the wall beside him- he darted round to see Fox holding the smoking blaster, growling with rage. "I should kill you where you stand!" he roared. "But you can't. You can't kill me." Sephiroth mocked. "There is always a way." Fox hissed, pulling the trigger. Quick as a flash, Sephiroth dived through the hole and landed deftly in the trees outside. Looking back up at the spaceship he'd left, he gave a piercing laugh and disappeared. Fox punched the wall in frustration. He'e let him get away. He should have pulled the trigger sooner. but that was the thing about being good- ruthlessness didn't come naturally. It didn't seem right to just kill him. But he was so close... Shoving the blaster into its holster, he turned back down the corridor. Yes, those cakes were looking very nice right now.

I really like this style, and poem ^_^ It reminds me a lot of Link for some reason. I think the uncertainty at the end is good. It feels deep and symbolic in some way, although as to what I'm not too sure ^_^; It's still very good.
Originally posted by Fall They're just as good, and really there's no difference in the listening quality. That's all I'm worried about. Not the covers or the pictures.
Yeah. I didn't download them, though- I got them from various online retailers. And that's what gets me as well- it annoys me that the quality on those is so good because it makes me wonder why I have to spend twice as much money on something else that's only as good. But it's all moral judgement, really. I didn't know they were pirated until I got them. The thing is they're so widely available from e-stores all over the world it's hard to know whether the fakes aren't the original after all. Almost every shop I go to that sells these soundtracks are selling the SonMay ones, and the amount they have for sale is ridiculous. You can't exactly tell them that their entire CD collection is fake. They may already know. *shrugs* I just don't get them from there any more.
-
Ah, I am well-versed with cheap rip-offs, unfortunately- Yu-Gi-Oh cards and some Digimon figures are always ripped off. People on eBay sall hundreds of 'Chinese' cards, which basically means 'fakes'- no hologram in the corner, no coloured writing and no holofil background. And sometimes people make stupid English replicas with fonts like Verdana and expect people to believe it's real, heh. Mind you, some people fall for it. I bought a BlackWarGreymon action figure a while ago, and I found out it was a cheap copy made from a normal WarGreymon mould- it wasn't fully painted and the Bandai logo on the underneath was scraped off. I was very annoyed when I found out. I rectified the situation by buying a real BlackWarGreymon figure, though ^_^ And that made me feel much happier. It's often easy to tell with things like this- on the fake figure there were no corporate logos, the packaging was worse than on normal figures (The Japanese tend to virtually imprison their figures in plastic, whereas people are too cheap to do that for a fake). Check very carefully what you want against what's there. I have many piratedanime soundtracks, I found out. That annoyed me greatly. I only buy proper ones now, even though they are much more expensive. But it makes me feel better knowing I'm being more honest- companies lose out on huge amounts of money when people pirate CDs. And that makes the originals more expensive >_<

OOC: This is almost it- if you have any unfinished plotlines or story elements you want to put in, put them in now, please. I'll be starting the final battle after the next few posts. -------------------------------------------------------- The time was drawing nearer and nearer. Thousands of Dark creatures screamed over the rocky terrain, relishing the thought of ruling the world and tearing apart innocent flesh. In the distance, they could see their target. A bright light upon the horizon- The Temple of Light... Valkyrion surveyed the troops in front of him. Hundreds of Giltia and Gaia knights stood in front of him. Legions of spellcasters stood in front of him, looking nervous. This would be the first time they'd ever faced a battle like this. A figure came up behind him. "Long time no see, Valkyrion." St Joan said softly. Valkyrion would have smiled, were he able. His voice lifted slightly. "It has been a long time." "It's a pity we had to meet again under these conditions, though. The Light Realm's beautiful when it's not at war." she thought wistfully, looking out over the mountains, where a dark shadow was deepening in intensity. "What's our plan?" she asked. "We have no Exodia this time." Valkyrion cast his mind back to earlier that day... * * * Melody clutched her sceptre tightly. "I've never tried it before. It was something the Magician of Black Chaos taught me before he disappeared." Silistra took her by the shoulder. "Then we must practice. We haven't much time." * * * Valkyrion sat in the empty dining hall, desperately trying to think of a plan of action. The pieces were there, he just needed to put them together. There had to be a way to stop Exodia. If they could only get those four pieces back... But maybe he was thinking about it the wrong way round. They needed five Exodia pieces, but so did the Dark realm. And, more importantly than that, Exodia had to be summoned by a Light Spellcaster. Something clicked inside his mechanical brain. That was it. * * * "Any word from the other Realms yet?" Chaos called from behind them. "Mared is in contact with them now. I think the Earth Realm will be joining us, I'm not sure whether the rest still have the power to withstand the Dark forces." Valkyrion felt something drop onto his face. It was starting to rain. * * * Melody twirled her staff through the air and pointed it at Kuriboh. A bright spark shot from the end and landed on the fluffy fiend's foot. It gave her a worried look. "Anything?" Faith asked quietly. "No." Melody was growing despondent. "It takes time and patience. Keep going." Mared soothed from the other end of the room, his head in an orb while trying to contact the Wind realm. Seyairyu and Blue Eyes were watching form the window with interest. "Concentrate..." Silistra urged. Melody closed her eyes and focussed... she could feel Kuriboh in front of her (who had very bravely volunteered to be the guinea pig for the Change of Heart. He was urged that it wouldn't harm him at all), his thoughts and his fur, floating in the gentle breeze. Suddenly, she opened her eyes. Except they weren't her eyes. They were Kuriboh's. She looked around and saw herself in a trance-like state in front of her. It was a little scary. "Whoa, I did it!" she squeaked, watching her body say and exactly the same thing as she was in Kuriboh. She felt something next to her. She turned to see, but couldn't see anything there. Just books. "Is something there?" she asked Silistra. Silistra walked over to next to the Melody-Kuriboh and shook her head. "No. It's probably Kuriboh's mind you're feeling. That menas the spell is weakening. As his mind recovers from the 'sleep' you put him into when you cast the spell, he will slowly start to regain consciousness. This is where you have to be careful. If you remain in this state for too long you can fall unconscious forever and both of you will be lost. COme out now, Melody." Melody started to panic. "I'm not sure how!" "De-Spell!" Silistra shouted as a bolt of lightning shot from her finger to Kuriboh and Melody. Melody snapped back into her body and fell backwards onto a dusty chair, Kuriboh toppled over onto his back and wiggled his legs in the air, confused and delerious. "How was that?" Melody asked, breathing heavily." "Fantastic!" Faith beamed at her. Melody smiled back. * * * "Ma'am, we have reports of the Earth forces coming towards the South gate of the realm." Wingweaver (St Joan's second-in-command) called. "Let them in!" St Joan called back. * * * "You wanted to see me, Valkyrion?" Melody asked, a little nervously. "Yes, I did." The warrior said quietly. "Melody, what I'm about to ask you is going to put you at great risk, and you should only accept if you feel you want to. I'll understand if you don't want to go through with it." Melody gave him a look of determination. "I'm ready." * * * This was it. The plan had been decided, and the field was set. A feeling Valkyrion had not felt in a long time came over him. He was nervous. And not surprisingly, either. The Horns of Heaven had already sounded on the edges of the realm. The storm beckoned...

Fox watched the lift intently. There'd been no sound or movement from it for a few minutes now. What was he doing? He leaned closer to the lift. A gleam of pulsating red light caught his eye through a slit in the lift wall. It had been cut open. He'd escaped and Fox hadn't seen. Cursing loudly, he slammed his feet into the wall panel next to him and leapt onto the floor. From the other side, the lift doors were completely shredded. Not stopping to think how much he was going to have to pay to replace them, he snifed the air, and ran in the direction of the burnt metal smell. Sprinting down the corridors, he heard some dull scraping noises. His ears twitched as he tried to locate the direction of the sound. Left. As he continued across the ship the sounds grew louder, as did the evil grunts of the Next-gen. he was tryin to hack through the security door to the bridge. His sword slammed into the thick metal, leaving huge gouges in it. The sword sliced through the air with sickening ease and crashed into the control panel, which fizzed, sparked and exploded. The doors stayed shut. Fox drew his blaster and pointed it straight at the Next-Gan's head. "Freeze!" he yelled. The Next-Gen jumped and gave Fox a steely glare. "Pitiful fool." it sneered, the massive sowrd twitching slightly. Fox pulled the trigger and a red laser blast shot into the end of the blade, knocking it onto the floor. Sephiroth snapped up the opportunity. He lunged at Fox, casting the blaster from his hand and holding him to the floor in a vice-like grip. Fox struggled to kick him off, but the Next-Gen was far too tall. The ship shook again- they'd entered the Mushroom Kingdom. As the Next-Gen's hands tightened around his neck, Fox heard something in the background- a light clicking noise. Suddenly, another blaster shot screamed through the air, singing Sephiroth's hair. He dropped Fox and leapt forwards, twisting in the air to view his assailant. Falco grinned. "Didn't think I'd let you have all the fun, did you?" Two against one now. And soon to be more against one- The Princess' Castle was only over the top of the next mountain range. Fox picked up his blaster and pointed it at Sephiroth. There was nowhere for him to run now.

Of course, to say that Yu-Gi-Oh is based around Satanism probably isn't true. They are similar, but it may just be coincidence that this is so. The eye on the Millennium Puzzle is The Eye of Ra (or something very similar), a well-known egyptian symbol and one that most of the audience will be able to identify with.
-
Maybe we could carry around flags ^_^ Heh, I often daydream about things like this. I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing :bluesweat. Either way, I do. We'd have to have some kind of dojo/swordfighting arena as well, and a big armoury with lots of interesting weapons for people to practice with... and a hospital. 24-hour anime channels sound great. but they'd better have Lost Universe on them...

Tea knew putting up that telescope to see into Yugi's bedroom was a bad idea.

It's still fairly visible as swearing, though. Even if it does have one or two characters changed. I know swearing's pretty common in most contexts now anyway, but that doesn't mean it should be encouraged or anything. I know that's not what the aim is, but for me the rap culture seems to do that (I've never liked it personally). I've not many objections, I just don't like swearing all that much.
Originally posted by Exodus Ok, I've got two questions: 1. Des Guardius???? This guys shows up for like two episodes and he looks awsome but I can't find a trace of a card of him. Does anyone know about Des Guardius? 2. Besides Buster Blader, Dragon Seeker, and Dragon Capture Jar, are there any card out there that do some big damage or good effect to Dragon-Types?
I can't find eny info on Des Guardius anywhere. I remember him being mentioned in the series, but I can't remember what he looks like. Sorry about that. It doesn't look like it's been made into a card yet, whetever he is. I don't think there are any more cards that target dragons specifically- what you'd want are cards that can beef up those monsters, like Fusion Sword Murasame Blade for Buster Blader, and various other monster removal cards (Tribute to the Doomed, Raigeki etc).
-
Aha, fair enough ^_^; I was going to ask about Blue-Eyes, but seeings as it was a Fairy Deck I didn't think it was appropriate. I'd be tempted to have another Luminous Spark in there, actually. I have two Gaia Powers in my Earth deck, and I know they help me a lot, especially if I'm playing monsters like Gearfried from the off. You're more likely to get that nice 400 ATK boost if you do.

Anime New Egyptian God Cards: Are they coming out?
Solo Tremaine replied to gouf's topic in Otaku Central
I think that's the point of the thread, Do. Let's not get too picky. We don't want to start arguements over nothing. -
Originally posted by Charles Apparently the guy in charge of securing the cables had a small tiff with the Buckaroo on the far-left. Fox yelled down the communicator again. "Lock down the ship! Close all of the security doors and make sure he doesn't get in the bridge!" "Who, Slippy?" "NO! There's a Next-Gen on board!" he shouted, ripping a panel from the wall next to the elevator. Thankfully these lifts hadn't been maintenanced in years- it crawled up at a snail's pace. "Keep going through the warp until Suddenly, red lights began flashing around the ship and mechanical whirrings echoed around the cargo bay. The 'thud' of security doors closing on the decks above made Fox feel a little more at ease. With any luck, this guy wasn't going anywhere. He clambered into the hole he'd made and started climbing up the narrow ladder in the lift shaft. Because of the lockdown, the lift had stopped mid-floor. The ship began to shake slightly. They'd entered the warp. When they were at the festival they'd be able to get reinforcements from Mario's lot. Mind you, these Next-Gens were extremely deadly. They'd been known to take out entire roomfulls of people in seconds. He kept his blaster pointed at the lift as he climbed up the ladder. He had no idea what to do. He'd not had much experience with hand-to-hand combat. He just hoped they'd be able to get to Mushroom Kingdom in time...
-
Heh, I like Giltia too, but his Material monsters aren't that great. I take it this is a Light/mostly Fairy deck. There's one major flaw that I can see, and that's that thee's no Marie the Fallen One to make up St Joan. Problem is, she's a dark monster and doesn't fit in that well. But if you want St Joan she'd have to be in there.
-
Fox could see the Warp to the Mushroom Kingdom appearing ahead of them. They weren't going to be that late after all. Slippy had been a long time in the cargo bay. Something must have happened to him... again. Sighing and lifting himself out of the chair, Fox started making his way down to find him. As he wandered over to the lift shaft, he jabbed a button on his communicator device. "Slippy, are you there?" No answer. That was a little strange. Usually, no matter what the situation, SLippy would always be able to reply. He loved his gadgets. "Slippy, do you read me?" It was a bit of a silly question, really- if he wasn't answering, then the chances were that he wasn't reading him at all. Still, best to be sure, in case he was in the middle of something he couldn;t be distracted from. The lift doors swept open and Fox walked inside, his tail flicking tensely behind him. As a precaution, he unclipped the blaster from his belt and held it tightly in his hand. Sometimes it paid to be paranoid.
-
That thread's been up for ages- like Domon said, if you feel you have to rate them you need only do the latest ones, not least because the ones from previously would have outdated cards and combos in them and not have any of the staples from the newer sets. But it is good to review them- I've seen a tendency for people to ignore other people's decks and just post their own, and if it were simply a Deck Dump it'd have to be closed as spam.

"THOOOOOM!" The engines of the Great Fox roared into life as the gigantic starship took off from the airfield, having recently restocked its supply of fuel, ammunition and sickbags. Fox sighed. Aerial battles over Cornaria were one thing, but if he had to speak to that dratted newswoman again he'd blow her oversized pixels to kingdom come. "How are we doing, Peppy?" The wisened rabbit scratched his ears. "We should be there soon. Loading times are fairly lax in this zone." "Right." Fox rubbed his forehead. The stress was starting to make him moult. "How much of the cargo did we manage to get on board?" "Everything seems to be in order. Slippy's checking it over now." "You mean he's gotten himself stuck underneath a box again..." Fox thought. It wasn't that Slippy was completely incompetent, he was just... mostly incompetent. In the embarrassing defeat at Cornaria against the Fireblade he spent half of the time trying to gun down Falco. In a war you needed a brain, and Slippy's was by far the best when put to mechanics. And preferably as far away from Fox as possible. How anyone could have a voice like that and not be mistaken for a Pokemon was beyond him. "We should try and upgrade our materials sometime." Fox said idly, checking out the starship's specifications. "That's why we're travelling to the Mushroom Kingdom, isn't it?" Falco piped up from the corner, not lifting his head from he magazine he was looking at the pictures in. "No." Fox sighed again. "We're going to the 16-Bit Festival." He'd rather be defending his planet, but General Pepper said he'd 'take care of it', which meant that there'd be a panicked transmission in about five minutes telling them that "We're outnumbered and can't hold out much longer!" Yes, battles were great fun. Still, at least the cakes at the festival were good.
