Fantastic ^_^ Thanks sage! I'll be working on the rest very soon- a few bits are going to be rewritten, but I'll include those in later posts to save people going back. These will be important plot parts that I'm adding in, too. I'm pleased with how it's been going, too. This is actually the third version of my fanfic- the first two tried to fit into the series too much and ended up being far too clicheed. But one day I suddenly decided to rewrite it as this, and I think it's the best thing I've ever written so far ^_^ I want to finish it. Stay tuned to find out Aidan's secret- only two chapters until the revelation! Well, that's the theory, anyway. I've no idea how many chapters there'll be :bluesweat.

Jared drew from his deck and Kyriss watched as his look of frustration morphed into one of glee. "I play Change of Heart, to take control of your Hayabusa Knight!" Kyriss watched his Knight switch sides and point straight at him. But strangely, Jared didn't attack. "I use your Hayabusa Knight as a Tribute for my Unfriendly Amazon- if I don't give her a Tribute during each of my Standby Phases, she is destroyed." Kyriss growled as Hayabusa Knight disappeared to give life to the Amazon in front of him. "Now, attack him!" Kyriss flinched as the Unfriendly Amazon swiped directly at him, taking away 2000 of his Life Points. He was now at 250. But he hadn't lost yet. It was his turn. Drawing a card, he looked at his hand. It wasn't what he needed, but he could still use it. "I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards from my Deck." They had to be the right two... or else this would all be over. He closed his eyes as he drew the cards. Labyrinth Wall and Soul Exchange. Kyriss punched the air and began his move, much to Jared's disgust. "First, I play Soul Exchange to use your Unfriendly Amazon as a tribute to summon Labyrinth Wall in defence mode. I then equip Labyrinth Wall with magical Labyrinth, and end my turn." Jared muttered something obscene under his breath. This would be difficult fo get round. He drew a card. "I play Monster Reborn to bring back one monster from my Graveyard- The Unfriendly Amazon!" I then Set one Monster Card face down and equip my Unfriendly Amazon with Axe of Despair, which raises her Attack points to 3000!" he pointed at Kyriss angrily. "Don;t think I'm beaten yet, Kyriss!" Kyriss smiled. "Time to end this Duel." He drew from his deck and shrugged. He didn't need the card. "I offer my Equipped Labyrinth Wall as a tribute to summon my Wall Shadow in Attack Mode! I then equip it with Sword of Deep-Seated to raise its Attack and Defence by 500 points." Jared smirked. "It's Attack Points are still only 2100. You'll be destroyed on your next attack!" Kyriss held a card up in front of him. "And I also activate this Magic Card- Shield and Sword! It swaps the Attack and Defence power of all monsters on the field, making my Wall Shadow 3500 strong." Jared screamed as he saw his Unfriendly Amazon's Attack Power drop to 1000 points. "Now Wall Shadow, attack The Unfriendly Amazon!" Jared shrieked in horror as the Wall Shadow destroyed his card and wiped out his Life Points. He fell to his knees. "The locator cards, please." Kyriss said firmly. Jared shoved them in his face and stormed off, swearing loudly. Kyriss smiled. He had his full compliment of 20 locator cards. Now he had to fond Ryan and Shinji to show off. End of duel: Kyriss 250 LP, Jared 0. Kyriss: 20 Locator Cards.

Valkyrion travelled through the forest, feeling rather groggy after being awoken after so long. The Earth realm was hugely expansive, and his memory was a little rusty. It may take him a while to get to the Guardian Temple. Drawing his sword, he observed its blade playing in the light glimmering through the trees. It was good to be awake again. He shook his head. He had a duty to protect the world- he could wallow in it once it had been saved. A noise overhead distracted him. A huge dragon flew above him alongside a Whiptail Crow, swishing its tail in frustration. "That Blue Eyes White Dragon is dangerously far from his realm." he pondered. "An emissary, perhaps." His wings 'clunked' into position, stiff from years of confinement, and he started to float upwards. Rising above the level of the trees, he watched the Blue Eyes fly into the distance towards a huge rocky pyramid. The Earth Guardian Temple. Spreading his wings wider, he soared higher into the sky and disappeared in a streak of light...

[i]Gaia. A peaceful planet. In its many forests, wastelands, cities and oceans live hundreds of creatures; all of whom live in harmony. However, this was not always the case... Centuries ago huge Gods ruled the planet under a tyrannical reign, using their powers to rule over everything they saw. The planet was plagued with death, and to save the world something had to be done. A monster was created to stop the God Cards- Exodia. Carved from the six elements of the planet- Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Light and Dark, he was able to seal the Gods inside the planet itself and restore peace and harmony. Once he had been created the inhabitants quickly started to bicker over who should have control over the immense power of Exodia, and a war began. To save their world from further destruction it was decided that Exodia be sealed into a crystal slab and split into five parts, with each realm recieving one piece to guard. One realm however, did not recieve one. The Dark realm. Mistrusted through their use of the Dark powers and the influence they have over them, they were rumoured to have their own ulterior motive for gearding an Exodia piece. Embittered by this, the Dark powers swore revenge on the other realms and disappeared into the shadows. They have not been seen since, and the danger was hence forgotten and ignored. Until now, when the winds have started to change...[/i] -------------------------------------- Deep underground, near the centre of Gaia, something was stirring. dark shapes shifted slowly in the darkness and made their way through the huge caverns towards the surface... -------------------------------------- "Do we know for sure that this is true? We have, in the past, been wrong in our assumptions." An elder Alpha theorised. An old Beta steped forwards. "This is different. We can't mistake the readings in the sand this time." he said, indicating a series of symbols on the wall of sand behind them. "They are too strong." Gamma raised an eyebrow. "Then there is only one thing to do..." * * * * * Hundreds of Alpha, Beta and Gamma Warriors gathered around a huge plinth in the centre of the temple, each chanting quietly. Carved into the plinth was the shape of a great warrior- their legendary hero Magnet Valkyrion. The three elders stood in front of the plinth and held their arms up high. The gathering of warriors below them all bowed their heads in unison and the chanting grew louder. Slowly, the plinth began to vibrate. The elders turned to face the plinth and the magnets on their heads started to glow a bright white. Suddenly, a huge white busrt of electricity struck the top of the plinth. The stone structure shattered and a glowing shape stood in its place. It spread its wings wide, stretching them into action, and looked at the Elders before him with curiosity. "Magnet Valkyrion!" Beta gushed, in awe at seeing the sight of their hero. "We need your help." Valkyrion knew exactly why. "The Dark forces have reawoken." he said gravely. Alpha nodded. "They are moving their way towards the surface to gain possession of the Exodia pieces. You have to stop them." Valkyrion looked around. It had been almost a thousand years since he was last awake on Gaia. So much had changed... even the mystical symbols created by the ancient magnet people were somehow different. "I'll make my way towards the Guardian temples. I can't stop the forces alone- I'll need help. We all need to stand against the Dark realm." The elders all nodded in unison, and quickly moved out of the way as Valkyrion walked down the stairs to the temple's exit. As he arrived outside, he took a long, refreshing breath. It was good to be awake again. Quickly, he ran towards the outskirts of the city, unknowing of the beady eye of the Meda Bat perched in a tree above... -------------------------- OOC: I hope that's okay. He looked small, vicious and overly-confident. He drew five cards from his Duel Disk system and glowered at him over his cards. The boy sneered smugly. Kyriss had Neo the Magic Swordsman, Sword of Deep-Seated, Wall Shadow, Lightning Blade and Magical Labyrinth. The boy drew his cards and laughed. "My name's Jared. Remember it, this defeat will burn into your mind." he hissed. He was surprisingly disturbing for being a few years younger. "You're very vicious for a little kid." Kyriss muttered. A sharp pain burst into his face, and he felt a trickle of blood run down his cheek. The boy growled at him, holding a small blow-pipe. "A warrior always comes prepared." Jared barked, brandishing a small blade and shoving it into the end of his blowpipe. "You disgusting little wretch!" Kyriss yelled,the pain seering into his cheek. Jared smiled smugly. "Now we know where we stand, I play Hibikime in attack mode! And..." he said, holding up a card and staring at it madly. "...I lay one card face down." Kyriss watched the card appear on the floor in front of them. He couldn't be sure it wasn't a Trap Hole, but there was only one way to find out. He drew from his Deck. Shield and Sword. Fantastic! His Wall Shadow combo was almost complete. All he needed was the Labyrinth Wall. "I play Neo the Magic Swordsman in attack mode." He chose not to attack- he had no idea what that trap could be. And if this guy duelled as disgustingly as he was normally, it could be something nasty. "And that ends my turn." "Hah!" Jared scoffed, drawing a card. "I play The Unfriendly Amazon in attack mode!" [i][NB: 2000/1000][/i] "Attack Neo, my Amazon warrior!" Kyriss watched Neo disappear in a flash of light as the Unfriendly Amazon sliced through him with ease, and his Life Points dropped to 3700. "Now, Hibikime! Attack his Life Points directly!" Kyriss ducked as the massive beast-warrior threw the holographic axe in his directino and cut his Life Points down to 2250. Jared laughed again, a high-pitched cackled which hurt Kyriss' ears. "I also activate my Trap Card- Ultimate Offering! It allows me to have one extra Normal Summon or Set per turn at a cost of 500 Life Points." A new monster arose on the field- Milus Radiant. "Milus Radiant raises the attck power of all of my Earth monsters by 500 points, which leaves you with nothing to protect yourself with! Hahaha! You've lost already!" Kyriss clenched his fist and drew another card. He wouldn't lose to thic creep. "I play Hayabusa Knight in Attack Mode. This monster also gains an attack bonus from your Milus Radiant." "It's still too pathetic to attack me!" Jared spat. "But that's not all! I equip Hayabusa Knight with Lightning Blade, raising its attack power by 800 points- to 2300! And, I attack Milus Radiant!" Jared recognised the flaw in his plan too late- Milus Radiant's attack power was still only 300. He yelled in frustration as Hayabusa Knight destroyed his animal and his Life Points dropped down to 2000. He reached for his deck to draw another card when Kyriss stopped him. "I'm not finished yet, Jared. Hayabusa Knight can attack twice in the same Battle Phase, meaning I can attack your Battle Ox as well!" Jared growled again, his fists shaking in rage, as his Life Points dropped to 1900. Losses seemed so much larger when you had fewer Life Points. Kyriss signalled the end of his turn with a wry smile. "Your move."

Okay ^_^ The main rule is to have fun, but the second main rule is not to godmod, i.e. to have your character do anything and everything, because it gets unrealistic and boring. And long, descriptive posts are preferred, not just a few lines of script. But I'm sure you'll pick it up ^_^ Take a look at some of the other threads to get an idea of what to do if you're unsure. I wouldn't be surprised if a few fake English ones were doing the rounds already, along with all those 'Dark Magician Girl' ones floating about. Like I said, they're probably prototypes which haven't had their holofoil or hologram stamped on yet. UD/Konami may not know what to do with them yet, in terms of rarity/promotion/presentation and may leave it until they know what foil/holographic writing or sticker they want to put on it before releasing more pictures.

I didn't know a Season 4 was being made. I await its arrival in great anticipation, then in that case... unless it's about Bit again. I've seen some characters from Zoids who look like they're in a manga. One boy has a Konig Wolf. This is the same with the Zoids vs. on GameCube- it's a Konig Wolf vs a Dark Spiner. Do you think they'll be the main characters? One thing I really did like about New Century Zero was the Shadow Fox. That made an amazing sound. Also, I liked the throwbacks it gave to the first two seasons, [spoiler]especially when the finishing line of the competition is the same Ultrasaurus (plus Gravity Cannon) as seen at the end of GF.[/spoiler]

And I've no idea why it's the way it is. It just is, really. Some cards are better than others, and if all Level 4 cards were 1200/2000 or whatever it'd get boring. Card variations are needed so every type of deck imaginable can be created.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

I must say I don't like the show much. I'll watch it from time to time, but I've never really been a fan of things like this and Rocko's Modern Life. I dunno, maybe I just prefer things with a bit more structure to them. And there's a limit to how silly something can be before it just comes off as strange, in my opinion. Although some bits have made me laugh: SB: Are you angry too, Patrick? P: Yeah, I'm angry! SB: Why are you angry? P: I can't see my forehead. Most of the time I just don't see the appeal, though. I can understand why people like it, though.

Thanks Syk ^_^ I really like the Zoids series, and I have to agree with Psyco- I prefer CC and GF much more than New Century Zero. The characters, the music were all much better in the first two series. I especially liked the interactions between Van and Irvine, and I think the characters are some of the nicest-looking designed in anime. Major Schubaltz for one, and Irvine for another. I have all three Zoids Chaotic Century/Guardian Force soundtracks. Robert Etoll did a great job with the series, I think. As for models, I have the Gojulas Giga, Geno Breaker and Konig Wolf. They don't move wonderfully well (not nearly as well as they do on the series), but they look fantastic. A great improvement on the original 80's ones.

The God cards aren't fake. If they've been released in Japan by Konami/UpperDeck then it makes sense to release them in the US. Besides, what you would have seen in those pictures would be pictures of the prototype US versions- everything's subject to change before being released, in the same way that 'Raise Dead' (i.e. Monster Reborn) changed from an Ankh to a funny crystal thing.

It'd be like in the episode where Yugi duels Pandora/Arkana and he used 'Ectoplasmer'. Something like that. He'd be removing their souls, in effect. Although one thing I would say, with things like Fissure you might not completely destroy the monster it's aimed at. Could I suggest something for OTTD? Maybe have it for use as an ability to remove a monster's soul or something? That way it has a more dangerous effect. But it could be a slow ritual ability. BLS should be fine, Chaos, although could you perhaps change one of the abilities? I think two should be the maximum. Also, just a niggly thing: he is a warrior, so he's less likely to have magic powers as in Magic Jammer and Monster Reborn. But it's up to you ^_^ I don't want to be too dictator-like. Maybe Torrential Tribute and Fairy meteor Crush? FMC could be like Fissure in this case, creating a meteor storm around them, maybe. Just a suggestion. I know we'll start running out of Magic/Trap cards for good effects to use soon, but there are still more.
