1. I have absolutely no idea who you mean.
There is a small green-haired, much younger version of Kaiba who accosts Seto about his past with Mokuba. I'm not too sure of the full details, but there are pictures on LeLoLa. Maybe it's him *shrugs*
Anyway, the hippocampus is a region of the brain to do with emotion. Any ideas, anyone?
 2. I think, much like Yugi was oblivious to Yami's presence in the series for a long time, Bakura doesn't know that the evil spirit is back. Or if he does, he's too scared to tell anyone about it in case the Spirit tries to hurt anyone. At least, that's my interpretation. It's possible that Yami Bakura has control over both of Bakura's forms, and it's only until later in Battle Blimp when
Bakura's duelling Yugi with the Ouija Board
that he begins to come through again.
 3. He is indeed Rashid, Marik's henchman. Thanks to everyone who answered the question ^_^
 4.
Originally posted by Takuya Could you explain the system for using the specialties?
Sure. Basically they're magical powers that your character can use during battle, in pretty much the same way digimon use their attacks. They aren't activated by a card or anything like that, they just have the ability to use them. In your case, you have Raigeki. As this in reality would take up a heck of a lot of power, it probably wouldn't destroy all of the monsters everywhere, maybe just one or two or five if your character can keep up his energy levels. So in effect, your character would throw a lightning bolt towards the enemy and destroy a few of them. Heh, but no-one's all powerful. Other monsters with abilities such as Magic Jammer could stop your ability dead in its tracks and absorb the magical energy you used to conjour it. Think Wizards ^_^ And with Fissure, BSkull (how would you pronounce that, by the way? o_o; ) could slam himself into the ground and create a massive hole, which could destroy a few monsters who fall inside it. Although you wouldn't be able to use these abilities anytime you wanted to. Um... I'm not too sure how it would work as such. I'll think of something before the RPG actually starts. If you have an equip card, it's basically another weapon. Eee, thanks for the list of cards, Circeus. I'll be sure to check out their effects.
 5. Yes... well. His eyes are a little freaky. It gets better as the animation in the series progresses, though. Anyway, I'm going to close this thread as it seems rather inane and pointless. Please don't spam.
 6. Eee ^_^ That's great Mina. You don't have to know much, if anything about the card game other than a few of the cards that are in it. Just as another note: Fusion monsters are okay too. The only exceptions are the Mythic God Dragon and the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. They're no-nos. Oh, and no Gate Guardians either, please ^_^;
 7. Kyriss wandered around, holding his sixteen locator cards. His mind was still racing after the duel yesterday... * * * * * "Let me see your hand." Faron demanded. Kyriss stood back a bit. "Wh-why?" Faron put her hands on her hips. "I don't think you're being fair, Kyriss. Can I see?" Kyriss sighed. "I..." She walked over to him and forced his hand. Upon seeing the cards, whe smiled. "You could have won easily. Why didn't you play your cards?" Kyriss sighed. "I... it just didn't feel right. I didn't want to-" She silenced him by placing a finger on his mouth. "Kyriss, you duel to win, not to let other people win." Kyriss's wide-eyed stare changed into a slightly harder expression. "You aren't just saying that, are you?" Faron shook her head, blushing slightly. "No. If you have a move to play then play it. I didn't come here expecting to win." "Then why do you duel?" he blurted out. "I've never been to a competition before. I wanted to see what it was like. Especially one held by Seto Kaiba. A lot of the male duellists are cute." she giggled, making Kyriss blush. She walked over to him and removed six locator cards from around her neck. "You deserve these. It was your match." Kyriss stood in front of her, feeling ridiculously small and child-like. She was so perfect... He nodded slowly. "But I've forfeit now." "I'd rather you took these Kyriss. Competitions aren't for me. I'm a peaceful duellist by heart and these tend to be too agressive for my liking. I have planety of friends at home who aren't nearly so serious about duelling." Kyriss held the locator cards tightly in his hand and smiled. "Thank you Faron. But... I can't give you these for nothing." He shuffled though his deck and pulled out a card- Hyozanryu. He handed it to her firmly. "It didn't fit in my deck. Please take it for me." Faron took it and placed it into her deck. "Thanks Kyriss. Your accent... it's English, isn't it?" Kyriss nodded. "I thought so. I may well cathc you around sometime." Winking, she left and disappeared round the corner. * * * * * He now had sixteen locator cards. Another four and he could make it past the second elimination. If he won the prize at the end of it, he'd make sure he could see Faron again. A boy, younger then he was, saw him looking over the railings and out to sea. Sliding towards him on his roller blades, he sidled up to Kyriss. "Hey, want to duel?" he asked loudly. Kyriss turned to face him, clipped his deck in place and nodded. "Four locator cards too much for you?" The boy said smugly, holding up his bundle of sixteen. Kyriss snorted. "Let's duel!" Kyriss 4000/Garrick 4000
 8. PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO DUELLISTS IN THIS RPG! Read on to find out why... Gaia. A peaceful planet. In its many forests, wastelands, cities and oceans live hundreds of creatures; all of whom live in harmony. However, this was not always the case... Centuries ago huge Gods ruled the planet under a tyrannical reign, using their powers to rule over everything they saw. The planet was plagued with death, and to save the world something had to be done. A monster was created to stop the God Cards- Exodia. Carved from the six elements of the planet- Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Light and Dark, he was able to seal the Gods inside the planet itself and restore peace and harmony. Once he had been created the inhabitants quickly started to bicker over who shoudl have control over the immense power of Exodia, and a war began. To save their world from further destruction it was decided that Exodia be sealed into a crystal slab and split into five parts, with each realm recieving one piece to guard. One realm however, did not recieve one. The Dark realm. Embittered by this, the Dark powers swore revenge on the other realms and disappeared into the shadows. They have not been seen since, and the danger was hence forgotten and ignored. Until now, when the winds have started to change... ------------------------------------------ In this Yu-Gi-Oh RPG you are a Monster. There are no Duellists, no cards and no Yugi. You can be any monster you like, BUT:- I don't want three hundred Dark Magicians- be imaginative, and if possible I choose something that no-one else is being. To avoid arguements, the following monsters will be reduced to one each:

Dark Magician (don't forget, there are three types- 1st Edition, Arkana's and the normal one. So we could have three in effect)
Dark Magician Girl
Magician of Black Chaos (I'll be auditioning for this one)
Magnet Valkyrion- although technically no-one can be him because I will be :p
Black Luster Soldier
Black Paladin
Buster Blader
But even if you don't get to be the monster you want to be, there are hundreds to choose from. Use your imagination ^_^ If the monster you want to be's already been taken don't worry too much. We could have two providing there's some kind of variation. But like I said, I don't really want lots of the same monster. I think there should only be one MOBC, whom I'll choose. So, if you want to be him post his bio and a second choice too. To sign up, you need: Name: You don't have to make up a new one for your monster if you want to keep it as the one on the card. Although Magician of Black Chaos, for example, is a bit odd. Try and make the names imaginative too, please. No 'John's or whatever. Card: What card your character is based on. Um... if there's a character on a Magic Card you want to be (e.g. Nobleman of Crossout), then that should be okay, but PM me first to make sure. Blue-Eyes are alright to be too, but attack points don't count for anything much here so you won't be all-powerful. Gender: Gender-bending is okay, to a point. If you wanted to be a female Celtic Guardian, Black Luster Soldier or whatever I don't mind. Description: Speaks for itself Bio: Also speaks for itself Special Abilities: Here, you can choose two magic or trap card effects to give your monster as a special ability. Or it could be an extra weapon (like an Equip card) if you wanted to. But again, not too many of the same ones please. Suggestions: Seven Tools of the Bandit (note, these would be used as you really would use them, e.g to pick locks. Throwing a penknife at someone wouldn't stop them from hitting you with a Trap effect), Lightning Blade, Dian Keto (obviously this wouldn't apply to Life Points- it'd be a healing thing). If you want to be a human (and I'm guessing there may be at least some around), PM me. Just as a note- please, if you do decide to join up, don't create any major plot points without asking me first. I know where I would like this to go so don't start taking it off in your own direction. I have the plot already. If you have any suggestions though, I'd be glad to hear them ^_^ I'll add any other rules as I think of them. Here's my sign-up: Name: Valkyrion Card: Magnet Valkyrion Gender: Male Description: Bio: Legendary warrior from centuries ago, he fought in the wars started by Exodia, and was one of the few who helped seal him away. Since then he has lain dormant, ready to reawaken should the need arise. He is sealed away inside the Magnet Temple in the industrial area of Gaia. Special Abilities: Mirror Force, Swords of Revealing Light Heh, if you've read all that then welcome aboard ^_^ Have fun.
 9. Well, I've not seen it around if it is available. Anyone's welcome to prove me wrong ^_^; As good as the US dub is- I must admit, I do tend to prefer hearing things in English -it could be a little 'darker'. I think it's very good as it is, but you can tell some bits are glossed over a little. And editing out the guns really did annoy me. But it's a small price to pay for at least getting something here. And it's still thoroughly enjoyable, in whatever form it is.
 10. I've only seen the American version, but I've been very tempted to get the entire Japanese DVD set, if nothing else than to see the rest of the Battle City/Battle Blimp arc now. I'm impatient when it comes to that, especially as we're behind in the UK anyway. The manga sounds interesting, but again being in the UK there's hardly any access to things like that. I doubt anyone here's heard of Shounen Jump.
 11. Preorders on several online shops say June. They look good, but I'm not sure I'd get them either. Not least because they don't fint in with my deck- I don't think it seems fair to have a virtually indestructable card.
 12. No, you'd need to Tribute that low-level monster to get out the high-powered one. If it was brought out by UO's effect, you'd need to pay, if it wasn't then you don't. Ultimate Offering allows you extra Normal Summons or sets, excluding the one you'd be allowed with each turn anyway. But, it doesn't affect tributing rules. So, if you had one monster on the field and wanted another to tribute for, say BEWD, you could use Ultimate Offering to bring out your second monster, and then Tribute them both. But you couldn't use it to bring out Blue-Eyes straight away. Sorry if that's a little confusing.
 13. I recently acquired a Left Arm, but I'll sell it off as soon as I have the chance, because I really don't need it. It strikes me as odd that not many people seem to want him in. After all, if you base a deck around him there's not much else you can do- seeing as most of the cards you need are supposed to draw out more monsters then you can't be particularly offensive or defensive. If you had a deck with him in you'd need a lot of Spear Cretins, Magician of Faiths, Monster Recovery or whatever to keep the pieces in your hand until you have all of them. It doesn't seem like a particularly successful strategy to me personally. Besides, Exodia looks ugly.
 14. I first started watching it when we got Sky (satellite). I was mostly interested in Zoids at the time, but since Yu-Gi-Oh was afterwards I'd keep watching, and gradually my interest in it grew, to the point where I got a Yugi Starter Deck for Christmas and a pile of 50 LOB cards. I found it rather odd at first- Yugi's eyes freaked me out, with the white centres but I'm used to it now. In the earlier episodes he looked like he was on something illegal but the animation's improved through time. I also thought the style was a lot more 'chunky' than other animes I'd seen, and that put me off slightly too. As with most things I tend to dislike at first, though, I grew to love it ^_^; I have a whole two boxes of cards I don't use now, and I still buy more every week.
 15. New booster pack set- Legacy of Darkness ^_^. Scheduled to come out in early June, this is. Here's a pic of the booster box: Looks good, doesn't it? Anyone know which cards are going to be in it, or which Japanese sets this makes up?
 16. In terms of the Heart of the Cards, I'd have to agree with Beelzebumon:
Originally posted by Beelzebumon Let me start out by saying that "Heart of the Cards" annoys the scuz out of me. That said, I believe the HOTC is a philosiphy, not an actual...other thing...
Well, maybe not to that extent ^_^; I don't find it that annoying, even if it is a little gooified for the anime series. But I've always been someone who relies on dreams heavily. I'm always in a fantasy world.
However, there is a difference getween the HOTC and "having faith in your deck". HOTC, like I said, is a philosiphy, but having faith in your deck should mean that you assembled it so well and with such care that you have confidence in your ability to draw a useful card that can get you out of whatever mess you're in. true, luck of the draw is involved, but if you put your deck together well enough, luck should usually always be on your side. By the way, I am still a proponent of dueling with integrity, if not "Honor".
I think that's very true- Heart of the Cards is probably a metaphor for all of the care taken in selecting the cards for your deck and the knack of being able to pull them out in a clinch. People can believe what they like to believe. In a sense, you know your deck so well that you can almost 'trust in it' in the same way Yugi does, but even then it doesn't always come through. Many times I've really needed a monster and all I've gotten is magic or trap cards that haven't been able to help me any. But there have been times when the cards have really been useful and have turned around the course of the Duel. I think it's both luck and skill, and confidence to a certain extent, but there's nothing wrong with a little bit of fantasy, is there?
 17. OOC: *shrugs* Sorry I've been out for a while guys. I hate coursework >_< -------------------------------------------- Kyriss lay in bed thinking about the day's developments. the party was great fun, but what he was more interested in was the duel he'd had beforehand... "I play Card Destruction, to send each and every one of your cards into the Graveyard." Faron's jaw dropped. "Dammit!" Flicking her hair back, she smiled. "Ah well, at least I get to draw four more. And you didn't get my cards on the field." She took the top four cards from her deck and studied them carefully. As control shifted to her, she drew another card. "I play Shining Abyss in attack mode. And now, with her and my Bio-Mage on the field, I can use them as Tributes to summon my Wingweaver!" Kyriss sighed with relief. It still didn't have enough attack points to break through his Labyrinth Wall's defence. And with his Swords of Revealing Light in play, she couldn't attack for two more turns anyway. "My turn now." He drew a card from his deck. Shield and Sword. If he used that at the right time, he could use Labyrinth Wall to attack Wingweaver. But first he needed to be able to raise its defence power. In his hand was a Dark Magician, Yami and a Sword of Deep-Seated. That would work, but... He didn't want to attack. She smiled at him expectantly, and he grinned sheepishly back. "Are you moving?" she asked. "I-er... I pass this turn." She shrugged. "Fair enough." She drew another card and threw it onto the field. "I play Elf's Light, which raises the attack power of my Wingweaver by 400 points." Kyriss coughed. "Yes, but it also decreases your defence by 200." She shrugged. "It gives me enough attack power to destroy your wall." She also played one monster in face-down Defence position, and then signalled the end of her turn. Kyriss blushed. What should he do? He could destroy her Wingweaver now if he wanted to. It would be so easy just to win, especially as her Wingweaver only had 2200 defence points now. Instead, he summoned another monster to the field- his signature card. "I play Neo the Magic Swordsman in Attack Mode!" "He looks very dashing." Faron commented. Kyriss blushed. "Go Neo! Attack her face down card!" A pink monster holding an umbrella appeared on the feild for a split second before exploding into hundreds of coloured holographic shards. "What was that?" Faron giggled. "My Weather Report. When flipped, it automatically destroys your Swords of Revealing Light, and allows me to conduct my Battle Phase twoce in my next turn." Kyriss froze. Maybe he should have made his move. The light from the swords disappeared and he looked at his LP meter. 1700. If she summoned another monster onto the field, that would be it. Slowly, he flicked off his Duel Disk and smiled weakly. "I forfeit. You win, Faron." -------------------------- OOC: This isn't finished yet, so you needn't worry- he's still in the competition. Jus' see what happens next ;)
 18. OOC: Sorry about that, sage :(. I've been really busy lately. Coursework = notimeforme. But I'm back now. If you have an ending then I'm sure it'll be a good one ^_^ ----------------------------------------- Ryouka stared up at Raijinmon as the Warrior digimon attacked him gallantly. Chase roared and fired another Blaze Blast at Raijinmon, who growled slightly as it hit his arm. Ryouka stood up on Chase's back and thrust an arm in the gigantic Mega's direction. "FIRE!" Immediately, every single Reptile digimon that could launched their attack on him. The Pteramon swooped down low over his head. "Side Winder!" They chorised, launching a barrage of missiles form underneath their wings. They slammed into the side of Raijinmon's head, him letting out a shriek of pain. he threw a titanic claw in their direction and clipped the wings of two Pteramon, sending them spiralling down to the ground. On the opposite side, Yami watched his Warrior digimon take on the Trinity Mega, battling boldly to try and bring him down. Yami ducked as a shower of rock debris flew in his direction, caused by Railinmon's Blitz Arm attack thundering into the ground. "We have to keep him busy until the other Masters can get here. We need them!" he shouted up to Gallantmon. The knight digimon nodded and caught Raijinmon's fist as it careened through the air towards him. Ryouka clenched his fists. If they got through this alive, Haku would have a lot of explaining to do.

 20. Change of Heart and Monster Reborn have been limited to one for a while. Heh, that's what I was planning to do actually- get a few Magician of Faiths. I'm surprised Torrential Tribute isn't in the limited list. And Graceful Charity.
 21. Does Mirror Force count? That's one I'm really trying to get my hands on. Not much of a reason why, I just don't have a Raigeki substitute- right now the only major Monster Removal card I have is Dark Hole, and I want to save my cards.

 23. Kyriss would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. His stomach was churning in odd ways, and he wanted to sit down. Duelling so soon after breakfast was a bad idea. He stood at one end of the room and waited for someone to challenge him. He was too nervous to ask anyone else, so he thought it'd be best to let them choose for him. "Hello?" a voice called. A blue-haired girl, about Kyriss' age, stepped up besides him. She looked a little shaky. "Are you alright?" Kyriss asked. The girl nodded. "Yeah. I've just never been in one of these things before." Kyriss gazed at her for a few seconds. She had purpley-red eyes, and her hair flowed down to her shoulders. She looked very pretty. "Are you ready then?" he asked, shuffling his deck anxiously. She did the same. "As ready as I'll ever be. My name's Faron, by the way." she replied, placing her deck on the Deck Zone. "My name's Kyriss." he smiled as the Life Points counter went up to 4000 on both of their stations and the duel began. "I'm so pleased to have gotten this far." Faron said, smiling as she drew her cards. "I never dreamed I'd get past the eliminations." Kyriss laughed. "Me neither. But don't think it'lll get any easier for you now." "Heh, I won't!" Faron said, drawing her final card. "My turn. I'll lay one monster card face down and set two more cards face down." Kyriss smiled as he drew a card from his deck...
 24. They're probably fairly cheap if you go to Japan to get them. The thing is, some of those cards are the most anticipated ones since the first release of the cards a while ago- the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Magician of Black Chaos and whatever. That's probably why the internet stores have jacked up their prices a lot, because they know that so many people are going to want the cards that are inside. Although $129.99 is far too much for one- I've seen that price for all four (Joey and Pegasus structures included there), but just one. That really is too much. The Kaiba deck has three Blue Eyes in it, each of which retails individually for over $20, and having three in there would be selling them at quite a loss if they were only about the same price. The Yugi one has two Dark Magicians, too. Along with MOBC and DMG, SORL and whatnot, there are lots of very popular cards. But it is annoying if you have very little money.
