Wow ^_^ There's amazing tension there. I loved the introduction. It's got a very good style, much like those you'd see in films or animes. The only thing wrong with it that I can see is a couple of gramattical bits, but that's nothing, really. It's very very good. I can't wait to see more ^_^ Very nice.

The procession of Reptiles moved slowly down the mountainside. Lucky for them they were used to walking through the valley and steep cliffsides, else they'd have fallen down in no time at all. Ryouka looked over the treetops, which were slowly rising up his field of vision. A dark shadow loomed over one corner of the horizon. It looked very ominous. "What do you suppose that is?" he asked Mina, pointing in the direction of the dark cloud. Mina shrugged. "It looks to be a storm." Chase rolled onto her back and looked over to where they were indicating. Things looked much more interesting upside-down. A stern voice from Wizardmon made her jump. "I don't think that's a storm. There's something evil about it." "How do you know?" Ryouka asked, looking up at him gravely. Wizardmon picked the lifesource from his bag. It had a slight red tint to it, which seemed to be getting gradually stronger. "The energy I can feel in the lifesource is tainted by something. It's powerful, whatever it is. And you can guarantee that it isn't good." The orange-haired boy looked at the path ahead. They needed to get to safe ground as soon as possible. The lake would only hold them for a little while. The Animal Kingdom was the biggest in the Digital World. If they could make it there then they could stand a chance of protecting everyone. "Mina, how strong are your digimon?"
-
OOC: Very cool ^_^ I could get used to being evil ----------------------------- Darigann enjoyed hearing the tortured screams of the digimon as the Spores embedded themselves into their data. It was almost soothing. BlackGuilmon hungered for flesh, however. Fun as it was seeing Elecmon writhing in discomfort, he needed battle. Darigann sensed his hunger. "They won't be a match for us next time." Sakhi gave him a sideways glance. "They may yet. We shouldn't underestimate them. After all, they are Tamers as well." "They aren't real Tamers." Darigann spat. "They wouldn't go as far as it takes to win. Their compassion makes them weak and that's where we'll get them." "And your complacency means nothing, of course." Sakhi retorted. Darigan whirled round. "Watch it. Determination isn't complacency. There's a difference." he turned back and started walking into the trees. "We can still win."

So basically, no god-modding. Losing a game wouldn't be the end of the RPG for you- you're still a character in it and can free-duel other people if you like, or turn nasty and steal things. Plus there's the evil to defeat. One thing- though, Domon: Which rules do we go by? Battle City, UpperDeck or Duellist Kingdom? Name: Kyriss (pronounced Kai-riss) Jackson. Age: 17 Description: Tall, with long orange hair (in a style similar bit slightly shorter than Bakura's) and deep blue eyes. Wears a long black sleeveless coat and a dark red top. On his wrists are metal vambraces that reach up to his elbows, and he has a sword-shaped pendant. Nationality: British, living in America Deck theme: Dark/Earth Spellcaster/Warrior. Yeah, I know it's disjointed, but I like it. Rare Cards: Buster Blader, Gearfried the Iron Knight, Dark Magician, Magician of Black Chaos. Nice ones ^_^

Or even better to this one, as this talks about the cards specifically rather then the deck: Favorite Card to use in Play

What would you do with a Trillion dollars?
Solo Tremaine replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in General Discussion
A Trillion dollars is a lot... I guess I'd start funding researching into cryogenic technology and things like that, because I'm all for the advance of science. I'd also by my own games development company so they could make me lots of Starfox, Digimon and Super Smash Bros games ^_^ I'd make sure that my family and friends all had a share because I'm not sure it's actually possible to spend that much money on your own. I'd probably buy every single replica movie sword I could and put them into a massive house on the top of a hill near my home. I'd also buy the section of the motorway near my house and carpet it to try and stop the noise >_< Assuming I had enough left, I'd bribe whoever I had to in order to release the orchestral score to the US Digimon series, and to make me a voice actor for an anime. A good one, preferably. With this much money you can afford to be picky. With anything left I'd give to someone who actually needed it, as opposed to someone who has too many dreams. -
Ryouka's face was alight with joy and hope. He gave a wide grin back to Chase and then turned to Mina. "Yeah, we're ready now." He leapt onto the back of the Triceramon and it slowly plodded down the slope towards the front of the line. The bird digimon flew overhead, keeping an eye out for movement through the trees. As Ryouka passed Mina he held out his arm for her to grab onto. "Beats walking." he said with a smile.

Darigann cursed the weakness that had allowed the annoying brats to win. They should be more powerful. Breaking off from the other three, he took BlackGuilmon aside. The digimon glared at him. "I'm not impressed, BlackGuilmon. You devolved in the middle of a fight." "It won't happen again." he growled. "I know it won't. You're going to train until you can destroy those pests with a single breath, understand?" Darigann hissed. BlackGuilmon nodded firmly, his head still hurting from ExVeemon's kick. He was going to pay for that. "We'll start on some rookies near Primary Village and see how you go form there." The two of them stormed off in the direction of the young ones' village, eager to do battle.

Don't get upset because you got something wrong. We all make mistakes and amiboshi wasn't meaning to be rude by quoting you. Besides, it makes more sense to quote because it makes clear the single point you're trying to address. One anime soundtrack I really wish they'd release is the English Digimon dub. Haim Saban et al do a great job with the score, but the studio doesn't seem to want to release anything other than the main theme >_< It's a pity, because the music's great. I have the Mysterious Cities of Gold soundtrack by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy. They've always been two of my all-time favourite composers, also doing things like He-Man, Power Rangers and huge amounts of other things.

OOC: Do they have room for all of these digimon underground? o_o; And damn, didn't see that devolution bit -__- -------------------------------------- Darigann looked over to BlackGuilmon ,who picked himself up and shook the dirt form his back. "Pathetic." the boy sneered. "Next time you fight be sure to win." BlackGuilmon whirled round and growled at him. He gave Leigh an intense look of hatred before standing next to his master to regain his strength.

I wouldn't class Nadesico as a mecha anime- the Estevaleses only play a small part in it. The Last Transformers thread that was up got less than 20 replies before falling into obscurity. I don't think there's enough of a demand for it. Mind you, making new forums can encourage people to post in them. Going back to the Evangelion idea- if there isn't something to post about it in, people won't, so it'll seem like there's less demand than there may be for a particular anime. In a single thread in the Anime Lounge there isn't much encouragement for a particularly deep discussion, and people will tend to only give their generalised views on something. With a sub-forum or whatever, there's more scope to expand into things you may not have thought about before. There are a lot of discussion points in Evangelion. That said, I still don't think Transformers has that great a demand. And Evangelion probably doesn't either (well, not here particularly).

"Thanks Puppetmon. We'll start moving in a minute. Tell the ones at the front not to leave until I get there." Ryouka said quietly. He watched Yami walk towards the other side of the valley, where his digimon were waiting for him. It was useful to know they were providing backup. He gazed down at the lifesource. "It could help." he thought. "It could help Chase. Should I take the chance?" He looked back over to where Chase was being gently placed onto a Triceramon. He hated seeing her like that. At any moment he expected her to leap up and smile at him, as if it were all a big joke. He waited for a few seconds... but nothing happened. She just lay still. Her data wouldn't be able to hold iself together for much longer. He looked back at the lifesource, feeling his stomach constrict with anxiety. "Mina..." he said quietly. "I need to help Chase. She'll die." Mina looked to Wizardmon, who grimaced apprehensively. "You have to do something!" he hissed. He hated being powerless. He hated having to wait for decisions to be made. This had to be done to save Chase. "Please."

Anime when are yugioh cards are comming to australlia?
Solo Tremaine replied to a topic in Otaku Central
I assumed it had already. If you're really desperate you could import them fom the US or wherever. I did because I couldn't find them anywhere in the UK nearby. They came eventually, though. And try and improve your post quality please, MaRk. Posts like that border on spam. -
This should really be in the Yu-Gi-Oh CARD Advice Thread. It doesn't matter that much, although the Legend of Blue Eyes set provides cards that are a good base for starting your deck off, and includes all of the original five staples, I think. Although Change of Heart was in Metal Raiders too... So really it's up to you. The monsters in each set seem to get more diverse and powerful and there are increasing numbers of traps and magic cards in each. There are good cards and bad cards in each set, so it really depends on what type of deck you want to build. *shrugs* It's not a clear-cut question. I'm not too sure. I like Metal Raiders, though, if for no other reason than it has a nice-coloured packet :bluesweat
Originally posted by Jinzouningen17 American cartoon wise, I'm still listenin to the Transformers: The Movie soundtrack. Hey, you cant mess wit "Dare To Be Stupid" by Wierd Al Yankavich{sp?}. ^_^).
Transformers: The Movie has an amazing soundtrack. I have the songs and the score by Vince DiCola (a BotCon exclusive CD- ain't I jammy?). I love Stan Bush's 'Dare', and Lion's version of the theme. It's great to listen to, if for nothing else than the copious amounts of bass and electric guitar usage. 80's cheese always lifts my mood. I have three Evangalion soundtracks which I listen to lots, along with two of the three Zoids CDs I have (the third wasn't that great). I'd say those are probably my very favourites, although I started off on the background music for Pokemon which I think is also very good. The Japanese score of The First Movie is amazingly emotional and haunting in places. The American score I have as well, but it's more twee and melodramatic. I still like it, though, along with the US second movie score, along with it's James Bond rip-off piece of music. The .hack//SIGN soundtrack's always interested me. I've heard it's very good, but I've never managed to hear any of it.

BlackGuilmon roared from the shadows and charged towards Tentomon, jaws salivating hungrily. The insect digimon zoomed upwards just in time to avoid the lizard's snapping jaws. "Pyro Flare!" BlackGuilmon's attack hurtled towards the insect, burning the air around it. "Super Shocker!" Tentomon yelled. The electric blast knocked the fireball off course and it spun into the wall, sending debris flying everywhere. Darigann strode out next to Sakhi and sneered at Leigh. BlackGuilmon burned off a few of Wormmon's sticky threads from ShadowRenamon before turning to look at Wormmon hungrily. "Time to fry, pest!"

Ryouka looked around the desecrated Reptilian stronghold slowly, trying to take in what had heppened. Everything he'd worked for had been lost. All of their hard work burnt to ashes. At least they still trusted him. As long as he kept his cool he'd be okay. He watched the procession of reptile digimon leavin through the East gates, followed by what remaining Bird digimon there were in the absence of Furora. It was a sad sight, and Ryouka could tell that the digimon were going to take it hard. Something about the battle still puzzled him, though. The Vegetation digimon were sent by Dantu, but he was sure there was another force helping them. On the ground by his foot was a small metal weapon- a four-bladed disc. Ninjas. He cast it back down to the ground. Why did the Digi-Mage have to do this? Ryouka had always wanted to have real adventures outside of the real world, but not at this cost. He'd leave this world forever if he knew it was going to be safe. The hatred for Haku burned strong inside him. A voice from the other end of the valley startled him. Three figures appeared over the rise- a human and two digimon, Pixiemon and Wizardmon. "Mina." Ryouka called. "It's been a while." "What happened?" she called back, running down to meet him." "The Digi-Mage attacked our domain." he spat. "We sustained heavy losses so the combined forces of the Reptilian, Vegetation and Bird digimon are moving." Mina watched the reptiles move slowly through the gate. "Where are you moving to?" "Wherever we can." Ryouka looked out over the landscape through a hole in the mountainside. "The lake area's fairly well-protected, so that'll be our first stop. Are you joining us?"

I'm a big anime music fan ^_^ I haven't downloaded any, though. I buy CDs, which is more expensive. But I'd rather that then have them not release music at all due to not having enough money because of everyone downloading them. I like the way it manages to encompass almost all styles of other music, from classical to pop, so seamlessly. It all fits together so well, and the songs are written really well. But I think the thing I like most about the anime songs is that, listening to them, I don't actually know what they're singing. I know that if you understand Japanese you do know, but I don't, and then my imagination isn't inhibited to the words of the song (I like to daydream along to my music and English words can put me off because I have to think of a story that matches the lyrics). My favourite soundtracks are Zoids, Evangelion, Yu-Gi-Oh (Japanese version), Digimon and Pokemon. Mostly I like the instumental bits, either more traditional classical music or stuff with electric guitars and synthesisers. A mix (like most of the above) is very good for me.

Darigann looked around with disdain. The Digital World was disgustingly green. His black attire was much better. Not caring much for the others, he walked a few feet into the bushes and gave a shrill whistle. The bushes behind him started to shake violently and he heard a satisfying growl come through the leaves. A large black lizard stormed out and looked at him intensely. "Darigann!" it growled. Darigann smiled. His digimon was pleasantly savage. "There are other humans here. Have you seen them?" BlackGuilmon shook his head. "But I'd be happy to destroy them for you." he said salivatingly. Darigann smiled.

Ryouka entered the remains of one of the huts, silently watching Chameleomon study Chase. "Is she alright?" he asked tentatively. Chameleomon frowned at the Guilmon's injuries. "It's not good, let's put it that way." Ryouka swallowed hard. "You have to do something." Chameleomon sighed. "I'm not sure-" "I don't care what, just do something!" he yelled. "Do anything you can, you hear me?" Shaking slightly, the lizard digimon nodded. Ryouka turned to leave, giving one long look back at Chase. He didn't want to lose her. Anyone but her. She'd been the first digimon he'd met in the Digital World. He sat heavily on the steep slope by the gates, staring out over the forest. Chase had been the first digimon he'd ever met... The orange-haired boy staggered into his room, a river of crimson flowing from his face. His hands shook as he tried to cover his eye, blinded by blood. He was starting to feel sick now. His legs gaveway and he fell to his knees in fornt of the computer, which beeped in anticipation of him reading an e-mail. In a daze, he threw a hand onto the keyboard and the e-mail opened. A fresh wave of pain hit his face. Everything seemed to swirl around him and his head was pounding like a mallet to an anvil. Soon, everything turned white... * * * "They will return." The voice made Ryouka jump. He turned back to Puppetmon with a glare. "This isn't a good time." he snarled. Puppetmon's face stayed eerily calm. "It won't be a good time until we move from here. I suggest we head towards the lake." "Not everyone can move." he said quietly. "We haven't time for stragglers." "We'll carry what injured and provisions we can." Ryouka growled. Chase wasn't a straggler. She never had been. * * * "Are you okay?" The voice was strange, calming. The boy tried to move his head. His neck and back ached- all he could manage was a slight twitch. Groggily opening his eyes, he glanced around him. The light was so bright... he could hardly see a thing. A dark red shape loomed over him. "What do you want?" he moaned. "You look no good." the voice said again. The boy felt something pressing against his chest. It was a nose. Wearily he lifted an arm to try and push it away. He failed however, and managed to hit himself on the head. "Ah f-" He was caught mid-obscenity as he felt something lifting him into a sitting position. he felt the blood suddenly fall from his face and started swaying with light-headedness. "Heyy..." "You need wash. You cover in red." Suddenly, the boy could see what was talking to him. He fell back and crawled backwards a few feet. "You're a lizard!" he spluttered. The creature cocked its head, confused. "Yah." it said. "I lizard. I a Guilmon. What you?" "A... Guilmon?" the boy said in bewilderment. The Guilmon smiled. "You no Guilmon. You look funny." "No... I mean... never mind. I'm Ryouka." the boys brushed some of his long orange hair out of his eyes to get his bearings. "So, Guilmon... where are we?" "We in Digi-World. You fell from high sky." Ryouka looked up. This must be a dream brought on by concussion. Either that or he'd died and this was his purgatory, to be stuck with something that sounded insufferably dumb for all of eternity. He was starting to get annoyed already, not least because the pain in his head had returned again. "Look, just tell me where we are." he growled. "You have red on face." "Red?" Ryouka touched a hand to his cheek. Partially-dried blood stuck to it. He shuddered and tried to stand up. "I need to get this off." he said groggily. "I know water place. It clean. I show you." The Guilmon smiled at him as she led him over to a small pool of water. After he'd cleaned himself up as best he could and had a drink, he sat next to the Guilmon. "So, is Guilmon your name?" "Yes." "That sounds rather strange to me." The Guilmon shrugged. "I know." Ryouka said. "I'll giev you a new one. Chase. You can be called Chase." The Guilmon smiled widely. "Eee-hee-hee! I like name Chase!" she danced around him in glee, waving her arms madly. "Glad you like it." * * * Ryouka stood up and slowly walked back into the village. "Time to move."

Chase slammed her fist into an Andromon, denting its armour and knocking it to the ground. "Everyone fall back!" she roared to the rest of the Reptiles. They slowly began to pull back towards the caves. Ryouka had them build a large tunnel network that led out towards the massive lake to the south if the worst were to happen. Right now, it was happening. The Vegetation and Warrior digimon were coping well against the Machines, but the Reptiles had already been weakened by the previous battle. Even Ultimates like Triceramon were having problems dealing with the weakest of Guardromon. Ryouka ran to meet Chase, who dedigivolved and stood by a large disc-shaped piece of the cliff, partly cracked by missile fire. "Tortomon, open the gate!" he yelled. A Tortomon galloped over to one of the huts and stod inside it. Slowly, it began to sink into the ground. As it did, the huge circular piece of rock swung round, opening a hole into the cavern. Another Tortomon ran through and jumped onto a second square slab inside, holding the stone door open. Most of the reptiles de-digivolved and ran through the gate. Ryouka watched as the swarm of Rookie digimon sprinted inside, trying to run from the fire of the Mekanorimon. He watched Puppetmon covering their back. He was grateful, but still apprehensive about leaving. He hated backing away from a fight. Chase, having reverted to her dark-red Guilmon state, was running towards the door. As Ryouka watched, a MetalTyrannomon rose over the mountaintop and sneered down at them angrily. "Nuclear Laser!" he roared, firing his attack. The blast impact sent Ryouka reeling back. Dust and bits of rock flew into the cliffside. The dust began to clear. Ryouka stepped forwards apprehensively. "Chase?"

OOC: Not just that, I mean the stone and everything. But it's up to sage in the end. I'll delete these two posts of mine afterwards.
-
OOC: You may have to ask sage about that, Takuya. Not that I'm saying it's bad or anything, he might object to putting in a major part of the storyline without his approval. Unless you've asked already, of course, in which case I'd be silly.

Overall there were six I think, four of which were Jinzo, Mind Control, some Equip card used to power up Jinzo and another monster (something to do with Reflections). He summoned two more monsters in the beginning of the first episode, one of which was tributed to summon the second. Jinzo came at the end of that episode. So that's three cards apiece.
