1. Ryouka hobbled into the hut, where Chameleomon was waiting for him. "I wish you wouldn't do this to yourself, sir. It makes everyone edgy." "I couldn't call myself a leader if all I did was sit back and watch, could I?" Ryouka growled as he removed his jacket. Spots of red darkened his T-shirt. Chase came running in, having de-digivolved. "Ryouka, are you alright?" she asked, wraught with concern. Ryouka smiled painfully. "I'm fine. How did we do? Have we won?" "We... er... the battle's over. The rest of the Andromon have retreated..." she looked away. "We lost quite a few. Three Tortomon, two Triceramon, one Pteramon, two Agumon, a Psychemon and Silver." "Silver's gone?" Ryouka's voice had an edge of shock. Silver was the first SnowAgumon who'd lived here, and had always liked Ryouka. "I'm sorry, Ryou." she said quietly. The boy stood up as Chameleomon strapped on the last of the crude bandages. They itched and hurt, being made from rolled plant leaves and water reeds, but they did their job well enough. "Are the other Masters still here?" "I think so. Although Dantu seems to have disappeared." Ryouka started walking towards the door. It hurt badly. "I'll go and talk with the others. I think we may need to move again. This place will take too much to refortify. Perhaps the Animal Kingdom would be available."
2. OOC: Ah ^_^; -------------------------------------- Sabre was growling all the way out of the changing rooms and into his next class, randomly shoving people out of the way; even those who weren't anywhere near him, although that did make shoving them difficult and rather time-consuming. He did it anyway for good measure- he was in a bad mood. It was going to be lunch soon. At least that was something. He'd be able to tear something apart without having it start to scream and tell a teacher. Sitting himself down on a stool in the Engineering class and staring out of the window, he realised that the lesson bell hadn't actually gone yet. "Damn."
3. Don't play mod, Mztic. I was considering leaving this open for people to post their most effective combos. I should have explained that earlier. But even then, it's my job to enforce the rules, and I will do so. It can be good to remind people as part of your own post, but not if you're not going to say anything else yourself. Because that's what I'm supposed to do. A good Dragon combo is one that's in the Kaiba starter deck: With Lord of D., Flute of Summoning Dragon and the Blue Eyes. Playing the Flute when Lord of D's on the field means you can special summon two dragons from your hand, so you could have another Blue Eyes or maybe a Red Eyes, something like that in your hand and you'd be laughing. Unless they had Dark Hole or Raigeki waiting.
4. He did the version of 'Hallelujah' on the Shrek CD. Not the one in the film, which I actually preferred, but on the CD. I like him too- his songs create a great relaxed mood. Oh, he also sung one of the ones on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack- Complaint de la Butte. That's one I like a lot ^_^
5. Ryouka struggled to hold himself upright as he watched the numbers of Andromon start to diminish. They were Ultimates, yes, but sheer numbers of Reptile, bird and munerous other digimon were seeing them off. The Digi-Mage wasn't going to win that easily. Chase slemmed her tail into an Andromon, who braced himself an took hold, digging in with his metal fingers. Chase roared and tried to shake him off. He ripped from her tail and flew off into the forest. Tyke watched the digivolved forms enviously. He wanted to digivolve one day. But right now he needed to help Ryouka. He watched Chase as she struggled against another Andromon, with two Greymon running up to help her. The pain in his sides was almost overwhelming. But he had to see this battle through. He waved to a small Psychemon, who ran over obediently. "Get Chameleomon into my hut with his medical gear." he grunted. The Psychemon nodded and sprinted back into the base.
6. I think that's 'Rei I', on the first CD ^_^;. Rei's character theme is very nice.
7. It depends which cards you have- you'd need to post your deck in order for us to take a look at the combos you'd be able to make before actually telling you which ones you could do. It'd be silly to tell you which ones were good if you couldn't do them. Try and improve your post quality, please. It's quite hard to make out what you mean.
8. "Look out!" a massive part of the mountain exploded with the joint force of six Andromon's Gattling Attacks. Ryouka was thrown through the air and slammed into the wall. He groaned in pain. A worried-looking Gabumon helped him to his feet. "Are you alright?" "I'm fine, Tyke." he said, shaking him off. "But, Ryouka..." "I'm fine!" he snapped. "We've got to hold them off!" Tyke looked down to where the Agumon and Chase were bombarding a few Andromon. Their attacks didn't do much damage, but they were keeping the attackers at bay. Ryouka's grip tightened on his digivice. "I won't let them win." he spat through gritted teeth. The digivice began to glow. "I will protect this place with my life." An orange beam of light exploded from the digivice and split into hundreds of shafts of light. Each one shrieked into a Reptilian digimon. "Agumon, digivolve to... Greymon!" "SnowAgumon, digivolve to... Monochromon!" Chase roared viciously and digivolved into her Champion level-DarkTryannomon. Ryouka smiled triumphantly. That should even the odds a little. He watched as the larger digimon started charging towards the others. Tyke looked at him. "Why didn't I digivolve, Ryou?" Ryouka heaved himself into a standing position. It hurt- his back and sides were almost numb with pain, and his legs were shaky. "I didn't want you to. I wouldn't be able to protect you if you did. You'd become an Animal digimon, and I have no power over you in that form." He grimaced as a wave of pain forced him to one knee. He didn't care what it took. He was going to destroy anyone who tried to cross him. "Let's see how long the Andromon last against these..."
9. Sabre had never felt so angry in his entire life. Well, he probably had, but he was certainly very angry now. It wasn't just the fact that he had detention, it was the fact that he'd been given detention by a massive pink squishy thing called a human. An idiotic human. He gave everyone evil glares, especially Shin and the coach. It was shaping up to a very large Hit List...
10. I was never amazingly good at the game, so I guess my favourites are mostly by looks. Scyther's my top favourite, because he's such an interesting design- sort of pseudo-lizard/mantis pokemon, and anything with blades is always good. For the game, I liked the power of his Slash attack, and also his high speed level. Sandslash is another of my favourites- the ability to use Dig is always useful in a fight, and I have a soft spot for Armadillo/Echidna type things. Jolteon was another of my favourites, again for his design, and because I had to have an electric Pokemon for my team. Zapdos was more powerful, but its beak looked weird. For Fire, Charmeleon was my choice Pokemon, for his design again. I haven't much reasoning behind these- I was mostly into the series. Mewtwo was the only Psychic Pokemon that appealed to me, not least because he was the only one I managed to get to a level above 55 -__- But he looks better than the others in Red.
11. We already have a Yu-Gi-Oh humour thread- it's in the Fan Fiction forum. Please post there.

13. Ryouka ran deep inside the dim, torch-lit cave and looked around. Several large digimon were lying asleep on the floor. Ryouka took out his digivice. "I hate to wake them from their sleep, but this is an emergency." he said to himself loudly. He pressed a button on it and a white light filled the room, revealing four Tyrannomon, two Triceramon and a small herd of Stegomon. "We need you outside. The Digi-Mage is attacking." his voice boomed, almost shaking the room. Obediently, the digimon raced outside to join the battle. The digivice's light dimmed to a small glow and Ryouka turned around to face Chase, who looked at him expectantly. "I'd never normally ask you to fight, Chase." he said quietly. "I know." she replied. "I'll take the Agumon onto the gates and start hitting them from the air." Ryouka nodded, and then ran back outside to see Datsu and another boy standing in front of him. "More, Datsu?" he asked as an Andromon flew over their heads and crashed into part of the mountainside, exploding into tiny bits of data. Kensuke was about to introduce himself when Ryouka stopped him. "Save it. We have a battle to fight." He sprinted through the South Gates clutching his digivice, following the line of Agumons being led outside by Chase. He wasn't going to lose.
14. Rae sat at her computer and sighed. It had been a while since she'd heard from David or any of the others. She missed her digimon, even though they hadn't spent that much time together. She'd given him her sword as a gift, and he'd been very happy at that. She wondered how he was, whether he was doing okay and still living up in the mountains, or whether he'd decided to join some of the others. Sighing sadly, she turned off her computer. Suddenly, a blinding light illuminated the room and three boys stepped out- David, Kyle and Jake. Having fallen off her chair, she looked up at them in surprise. "David!? Hey, good to see you." David smiled. "Good to see you too, Rae. But we have a problem." "What's wrong? Where's BladeGabumon?" she asked apprehensively, standing up. David shrugged. "He's somewhere around the forest. It shouldn't take us too long to find him. Are you coming?" Rae nodded. "As long as you tell me what's going on, then yes."
15. Chase eyed Ryouka nervously. He didn't look to happy. Datsu's arrival meant bad news- he never neede to see anyone unless he really needed to. And he had no idea what Kima's motives were. Taking deep breaths, he began to wander back to his hut. "RYOUKA! ANDROMON ARE SURROUNDING THE MOUNTAIN!" The terrified scream echoed around the valley. Ryouka bolted up the ladder and saw dozens of the robots beginning to clamber up the steep rocky slopes. Kima ran up the ladder too. Ryouka looked back into the valley. The Reptilian and Bird digimon looked at him nervously. Shock and fear constricted his stomach. If they failed, this would be it. "Andromon are attacking the mountain! All flying digimon get into the sky and start keeping them off!" he yelled. A squad of four Pteramon launched into the sky and started attacking the invading androids. A few of the Bird digimon took off, but some looked to be waiting for Furora's order. The two Tortomon guarding the gate had left their post and were charging down the mountainside to intercept them. One of the Andromon's Lightning Blade attacks whizzed through the air and sliced into the rock next to the gate. "Pyro Sphere!" Chase yelled, sending a red ball of fire shrieking towards the robot. It hit the ground underneath his foot and he tripped over, but was quickly up again, almost completely unscratched. Machine Digimon were deadly. Ryouka growled in frustration. They had to win. Through the West Gate, a Triceramon started running down the mountainside into a group of five Andromon. He wasn't a particularly skilled fighter. None of them were. Ryouka looked to the caves in the mountainside. He'd have to wake some of the larger Reptiles. Quickly, he jumped down from the gate and sprinted across the valley, Chase following behind him.
16.
Originally posted by Duo Maxwell I'm jealous of Soley... him and his amazing desk...
You can't have it. It's mine. My precioussss... *strokes it* Anyway, I can never be able to sit cross-legged on a chair for any length of time, mainly because I have swivel chairs, but also they're not really made for having feet on them as well. Maybe it's that that's cutting off the circulation and causing pain rather than the sitting on them.
17. Heh, I just finished a piece of coursework about this. 1) Do you usually prefer books or movies? And why? Um... it depends. I like the way a film immerses you into another world, where you can properly picture everything and hear lots of good music (well, usually). Films have such a great ambience to them. On the other hand, books let you make up your own idea about the world being portrayed in it. Although sometimes I have problems visualising things properly, although that's probably just me. Heh, I had visions of Sirius Black being like the Hamburgler >_< 2) Which books were better than their movies? And why? Um... I'd probably have to say Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, because they left out so much about Ron's character and backstory, and the way Hagrid's character was changed really annoyed me- he seemed much weaker in the film, an I preferred his stronger book persona. 3) Which movies were better than their books? And why? Lord of the Rings: both films so far. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't get into Tolkien's version, if for no other reason than the dialogue was unrealistic and I felt they spent too much time not doing anything. In the book they waited nine months (or something like that) until leaving the Shire with the Ring. Nine months? That just doesn't seem realistic to me at all. I thought the film made it much more dramatic and realistic. 4) Which books/movies did you like equally? And why? Um... The Last Unicorn. That was a great animated movie, and it was a good read, too (by Peter S Beagle, if I remember correctly). I know it's not strictly a film, but the TV series of Truckers was amazing, as was the book.
18. Ryouka nodded his head in approval. Furora smiled slightly then turned back to Birdramon and Aquilamon. "Bring them in." she commanded, a slight air of relief in her voice. Ryouka watched, then heard a voice behind him. "Hey, I'm still down here!" Kima called in annoyance. Ryouka smirked. "Sorry, I didn't notice you down there." he joked. "Yes, we're Digital Masters. What do you want with us?" Kima gave him a stern look. "I don't mean any harm, if that's what you mean." DemiDevimon nodded ferverently, not taking his eyes from Agumon. Ryouka, Furora and Chase leapt from the gates and hauled them open. Kima walked in, a little exasperated, and thanked them. "Where are your digimon?" Ryouka asked Kima.
19. I'll sign up too, as Rae from the first sequel. The full sign-up would be in DIgital Destiny 2's sign-up page. Digimon: BladeGabumon Level: Rookie Tamer: Rae Anything else of note: He and Rae were separated a few months after the stone's destruction. She went back to the real world, he stayed in the Digital World. The two have only been able to contact each other through David.
20. According to www.tvtome.com:
On his first turn, Kaiba actually played two monsters which is against the rules, even though Battle Ox was summoned while Dimensional Warrior was only set. When Kaiba summoned Obelisk the Tormentor, one of the monsters he tributed was the set Dimensional Warrior from the fist turn, however this monster should have destroyed by the Cyber Jar and was also referred to on at least one occasion as being a Trap Card.
Anyway, can we get back on topic, please? Somebody can ask a question- either Masterdramon or Circeus.
21. I think I'd have to agree with kizu. I really like the look of PSO, but I'm doubtful about playing it online. It's not so much the fact that it won't work (which it should, probably very well), but more the fact that I spend far too much time online anyway (guess where that is ), and the scare stories are, well, scary. I know no hacking problems have occurred on the GC version as yet (or last I heard there hadn't), but it'd still be annoying to play for several months and then have all your achievements nicked by someone. I think the game looks, and probably plays very well, but I don't think it'd be for me. It sounds great being a part of this fantasy world and playing in it, but, amongst other things I think it'd get too expensive. You'd need the special modem for the GC and an ISP, plus monthly charges. It seems too much for me -__- And without the keyboard I probably wouldn't get it anyway- I like being able to type.
22. There was another tense silence. Chase looked between the two. Neither smmed to be the overly-talkative type. She walked over to Ryouka and poked him with a claw. "Ryou," she said quietly. "Is everything okay?" Ryouka nodded. "Everything's fine. We just need to wait until Hawkmon gets back." "I don't like waiting." Chase said glumly, looking around the room. Through the gaps in the wall she saw something orange moving round to the door. Furora could hear a patter of footsteps and a gasping breath. An exhausted-looking Agumon burst in through the door. "Ryouka! There's a human heading towards the South gates!" Ryouka leapt out of his chair and bolted out of the door, closely followed by Furora and Chase. They sprinted across the valley and climbed up the gates to the small wooden walkway mounted on them. Walking towards the gates was a human girl, her face half-covered by what looked like a scarf. A small DemiDevimon flew behind her left shoulder. "Halt!" he yelled. The girl looked up to see the two other humans looking down at her suspiciosuly. "Who goes there?"
23. Sorry, Kaiser_Boy, but favourites threads, or variations thereof aren't generally allowed on OtakuBoards, because they tend to generate spam (e.g. one-word posts, arguements etc). So, I'm going to close this. Besides, you didn't put Bakura on the poll :p
24. Sabre snarled at Shin. Cheat. Now the free kick was going against his team. Maybe he could sink his fangs into him to teach him a lesson... but they'd only get another free kick. He glared at Shin as he lined up to kick the ball. The girls were watching him again now. Shin gave them a heroic look and charged towards the ball, powering up for a massive kick that he hoped would send it straight into the goal. His foot slammed into the ball, sending it thundering forwards. As it neared the goal, he became aware of something else flying through the air... it was Sabre's boot. He'd taken it off and flung it along the ball's flightpath. The two collided in the air and the ball flew out of the field. Grinning smugly, Sabre rescued his boot and handed it to the goalkeeper. The coah gave him a fierce look. "That's against the RULES, Sabre!" he shouted. "I bet it isn't." Sabre retorted. It's the boot that kicks the ball anyway, not the foot, so why should it matter which hits it?" "You're foot's supposed to be IN the boot when you kick it!" the coach hollered. "Why?" Sabre was enjoying this. The coach grew a very interesting shade of purple before pointing over to the edge of the field. "That's IT!" he screamed. "Get out of here! See me in detention after school!" Sabre's expression turned to one of immense hatred, and he really wished he hadn't left his rifle in his locker. Growling, he stormed over to the sidelines and stood angrily watching the rest of the game. He'd have to bomb this place on the way out.
25. OOC: Heh, Ryouka wasn't meant to have an army as such, that's just where they're all lving. I forgot the word for 'kingdom', so had to use military ones like 'stronghold' and things. I love the logo, by the way ^_^ ------------------------------------ Ryouka gestured to a chair in the hut. "Want a drink?" he asked. Furora said nothing, but Ryouka proceeded to get her one anyway from a makeshift water vat. "It's not much, only mineral water, but we can flavour it with herbs and fruit. It's not exactly Coke, but it's nice." She smiled slightly as he crushed some strange leaves into his own drink. Setting his glass on the table, he sat opposite her. There was a tense silence. Furora looked around the hut. "You built this?" Ryouka nodded. "Yeah. Well, the digimon did most of the work. I was always good at making things, so I told them what to do. The Reptile digimon have always been rather competetive- eat or be eaten, things like that. When I arrived in the Digi-World this place was a real mess- no-one would co-operate, and that was why the numbers were falling rapidly." Chase poured some water into a bowl and started lapping at it quietly while listening to Ryouka with interest. "Interesting that they decided to follow you." she said quietly. Ryouka smiled slyly, producing his orange digivice. "True. But I had a little help. Really, we're nowhere near as advanced as some of the other Masters and their kingdoms, so we have to be on our guard. But living space and running water's a start. The Reptiles are fierce enough not to need that much in the way of defenses." He took a swig of water and pushed a glass over to Furora. "Maybe that's why the Digi-Mage is after us." he thought out loud. She said nothing, but nodded thoughtfully. "You think he'll try and attack?" Ryouka gave her a cold, hard stare. "He won't survive if he does. I'l make sure of that."
