OOC: Ack! Sorry I'm late. :bluesweat ----------------------------------- "The suit's good, Hyper. It, well... suits you." Solo smiled nerously as he helped his friend get ready. He'd been honoured to have been chosen as the best man, but was extremely nervous. He'd almost completely forgotten what he was supposed to do. He checked his watch. It must be fast. He couldn't believe it was today already. He checked himself in the mirror. His hair was playing up again. It always did on important days like this. "Agh." he said quietly, trying to keep a clump of it pointing in the right direction. Sighing, he adjusted his bow tie and straightened his shirt. He'd been tempted to ask to be able to wear his sword on his belt, but thought better of himself. He wrung his hands and looked out of the door. People were starting to come in. "Here we go..." he said nervously, fiddling with the carnation in his jacket pocket.

I wouldn't mind seeing an actual Pokemon fighting game, SSB:M style. Granted, you wouldn't get much on the GBA, though, but it could be something the N64 (whoops, regressed a bit there)... I mean GameCube could handle. I think a Team Rocket version of Pokemon would be great. I'd like to see how it would work. Maybe... you just had to catch a certain number of Pokemon by a certain checkpoint? Or maybe just to get as much money as possible, maybe by stealing Pokemon for clients or the boss. I can't see it being that much different to the other games, though (bearing in mind I've only played Red). But I guess with most of these things all you can really do is make a new gimmick for it.

Is it 93 or something like that, including signs? I could never remember it exactly, although I was annoyed that there wasn't more Scyther :p
Originally posted by Enishi My friend just picked up Fire Emblem... I'm gonna go and watch it soon ^_^ Anyways, those tapes you got are pretty good, especially Tank Police. I remember watching that one growing up. The A-ko series you got is pretty good too.
*jaw drops* I want Fire Emblem! Marth! What was it like? I managed to watch The Wind of Amnesia a few days ago, and it was pretty decent, I thought. It had quite an anticlimax at the end, I thought. But a lot of animes just sort of... end. Well, some do- they don't have a massive earth-shattering conclusion or anything. I enjoyed it, though. The characters were well-done, in my opinion. It's a little outdated, though- it was meant to be set in 1999 and 'the future' o_O;

This was something I liked, despite it being more than a little like Pokemon in terms of its general sotory. But, unlike Pokemon, at least this went somewhere. I'm still waiting for Ash to actually get into another league. In Medabots, like Pokemon, you had your 'battle-of-the-day' style episodes, and that's more or less the basis of it. But you also had good character development in between that, which I thought Pokemon lacked. I also liked the plot line and the underlying mystery of Doctor Hushi (sp?) and the build-up to the tournament. The animation's rather crude though, which turned me away at first, but I grew used to it. Out of main characters, I like Rokusho best. I'm not sure why. I guess he's just the clicheed mysterious friend character. In terms of 'bots, there was a dragon one which I liked but I've forgotten his name.

RPG The Chosen RPG (Yeah yeah...sucky title, eh?)
Solo Tremaine replied to ~Mystical Pan~'s topic in Theater
Aidian patrolled the area around the cave, flexing his elemental muscles. True, they weren't as impressive as they had been, but they still worked. A fat cricket landed on his boot and chirruped loudly. Holding his fingers over it like a cat's claw, a white mist spread from the tips and shot into the small insect. It froze instantly, like a minature ice-sculpture. Aidian opened his hand and pulled back his arm, his eyes glowing slighlty. The same white mist circled the cricket and flowed back into his fingertips. The cricket, rather bemused, jumped off. Aidian smiled as it hopped into the grass. Up above him, he could see the clouds moving slowly overhead, calmly herding themselves towards the west. Although serene in their movement, a shade of grey stretched out underneath them, almost indiscernably. They still had work to do. They had to move quickly. -
Sabreleant against a wall for a few minutes. The streets were crawling with soldiers, all of them heading towards the arena. He'd overheard some of them talking about an assault on Katina, but he didn't want to wait around long enough to hear the rest of it in case he was seen. Listening to the clatter of heavy boots on the streets around him, he clipped a sniper scope onto the top of his rifle. If Starfox was going to be there, he was going to exact his revenge. As the scope snapped in place with a resounding 'click' a sudden thought flashed into his mind. What effect would that have on the war, he wondered. Eliminate the driving force behind a powerful factor, and you can get in for an easy win. But Fox was just one Lylatian. How could he make such a difference? His thoughts wandered back to nine years ago, just before the end of the Lylat Wars. Fox had almost single-handedly given the Army all the support they needed while they combatted Andross' forces on Cornaria and Katina. He'd destroyed the command centres of forces in Sectors X and Y, destroyed bio-weapons on Aquas and Zoness, and managed to penetrate Area 6 and Venom itself. He clenched his fist. That was where Wolf's life had ended. Growling in bitter anger, he slammed a fresh ammo pack into the gun. He didn't care about the system.

(Partly copied from Tommy's answer. Shame on me) Nintendo Gamecube, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, NES, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Gameboy Pocket, Super Famicom, SNES SuperScope, Virtual Boy... I think that's it. Urk. Various hand-helds and watch-games, too. But I don't know all of them. EDIT: Gah! I was too late... -__- And wrong.

It's simple- the cards are heavily associated with the anime. You can't tell me you've never once said something without thinking of or sounding a little like Yami. It's impossible if you've watched any of the shows and have some of the cards he's used. Even I've done it once, playing Curse of Dragon. I didn't mean to, but it happened. But doing it intentionally to excess (i.e. with every move and taunting inbetween) is too much. But you know, the game and anime are both intended for kids, after all. So you can't expect everyone to be completely serious about playing. And anyway, it's interesting to have a little emotion when playing, to make things a bit more interesting. You don't have to dress up like Kaiba or anything, but you have to do something to keep a little of the fantasy atmosphere up, to make it fun for observers, too (assuming there are any). Otherwise it's basically just doing maths and reading/looking at pictures. Besides, Yami is a cool character. It's better than trying to be Yugi's Grandfather.
Originally posted by AnimeGurl My favorite card is both of the Blue Eyes,(altimute too) Exzodia, Dark Magican.
This isn't what the thread's about. Please stay on topic. This is about strongest cards as opposed to favourite cards. That's here. The Magical Armour EXE looks very impressive. Although there always has to be a catch- it'd be great to play if there wasn't an effect, which balances it out, I guess. But, as said, it seems pretty useless, if only because your opponent isn't going to want to help you out to be attacked by it. Unless they have some bizarre plan which involves it.

Heh, it was called Starwing in the UK. Stupid copyright laws. That's why SF64 was called Lylat Wars. Ah... forget that question. It's based on the UK age rating system, which games didn't get until a few years ago. As far as I remember, it was Turok 2, but I could be wrong. Basically, it meant that people under 15 weren't allowed to be sold it. And seeing as only a few people can answer it, the question seems silly anyway. I guess the equivalent US game rating would be... M, right? For 'Mature'? Okay, here's another one to replace that- which game did Boshi make an appearance? And no, it's not a spelling mistake.

Starwing! I loved that game, and I never even owned it -__- Ah, my poor misspent childhood. It was very hard, apparently. Ehh... which was the first N64 Game to be given a 15 Certificate?
Originally posted by Toon_world how come you cant trade here whoever copied ranklist.com copied wrong cuz they trade overthere so this sucks no offense
I'm sorry that you feel that this sucks. But as I said before, we can't trade here because we haven't the resources to do so. We can't give out links to commercial sites either. Complaining won't be able to change that. If you really want to trade, I suggest using your initiative and search for a trading website on Google. There are plenty of sites around if you can be bothered to look for them. And don't post spam like this again. It is a serious breach of OB rules.

Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare and Slippy Toad. Um... I can never think of questions. Er... Which N64 Game had John Cleese as one of the voice actors in it?

The Tyrannomon rampaged past the cliff entrance, hungry for the prey they'd smelt earlier. BladeGabumon looked at the others around him anxiously. Some of the Tyrannomon lurked outside the hole, sniffing around. "Great, now what do we do?" Rae hissed. "Those things are way too big to try and get past." "Especially as we can't digivolve." Sphrinmon said gravely. BladeGabumon looked at the sword poking out of Rae's bag. "What about that?" he said, pointing at it. "Using my sword won't help much- you're still bitesized to them." she replied. "We have to do something!" he protested. A beady eye appeared at the cave's mouth. "Light Beam!" BladeGabumon yelled. A white shaft of energy exploded from his mouth and slammed into the dinosaur digimon's eyeball. It reared up in agony, leaving the mouth of the cave open for them to make a break for it. "Let's go!" he yelled. -

BladeGabumon peered out from behind a tree, watching carefully for signs of movement. Sensing it was clear, he beckoned forwards to Rae. "You know, you don't have to take me through the forest if you don't want to. It's no trouble." she said quietly, adjusting her bag nervously. BladeGabumon turned to face her. "What kind of partner would I be if I left you to... er..." "Partner?" Rae folded her arms with a look of impatience. BladeGabumon turned away and continued walking through the forest. "Oh, no!" Rae called after him. "I'm not going anywhere until you explain to me exactly what's going on." He turned to face her with a guilty look on his face. "Listen... I can't get you home. But... you see... the digivice is something which links a human to a digimon- they become partners. You having one must mean that we're supposed to do something, and we should find out what that is." "A mission, you mean? I can't go home until we've finished it?" BladeGabumon said nothing. "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I would have understood that... in a way." BladeGabumon rubbed his arm anxiously. "I don't get on well with people." he mumbled. Just as Rae was going to reply, a massive pillar of black stone rose from the ground in front of them. It rumbled high into the air, a gigantic black obelisk. "What's that?" Rae shrieked, falling back agianst a tree. BladeGabumon grabbed her arm and pulled her away, running through the dense undergrowth. "I don't know, but it's not safe here. We should try and find out if there are any other humans here. Then maybe we could figure out what's going on." -
OOC: that's okay. It's good to have you here ^_^ ----------------------------------- Sabre walked casually down the dirty side-streets, looking at the buildings around him still partly scarred by the war. Scorch marks adorned the buildings like war paint, and bits of destroyed fighter craft lay in the streets, gathering dust. As he turned down a side alley, he noticed a familiar figure lurking on the opposite corner of the street. Cocking his rifle, he charged forwards, full of intense rage. The young stag looked round too late. Sabre leapt upon him and jammed the gun barrel against his neck, growling loudly The frightened stag shivered in shock. "Sabre?!" he croaked. "Yes, it's me you treacherous retch! You thought you could kill me, eh?" he snarled, jamming the gun harder into his windpipe. The stag quickly moved his hand into his trouserleg and produced a knife. Sabre noticed and threw it to the ground, where it clattered into the street. "Sabre..." he gasped. "Wait... I can explain." "Well, you'd better!" he roared. "Because if I'm not satisfied then I'm going to blow your pathetic brains out!" "Okay!" the struggling animal squealed. his speech was slurred and hurried. "We received a tip-off that there was going to be a raid on our base. We figured it'd be best to leave you there so we could get away. We needed someone to take the fall. It was Oonah's idea." "Arrogant slime. She thought she could do away with me?" "She's hated you for years. She wanted you locked away so she could take over StarWolf." "If she wanted me locked up why was the base burning?" he yelled, shoving the gun further into his neck. The deer gasped and spluttered for air. "We had nothing to do with that. I don't know who started the fire." he choked. There was a tense silence for a few seconds, broken only by Rowan's panicked wheezing. Sabre eased the barrel from his neck and took his knee from Rowan's chest. Slowly, the stag stood up, eyeing the wolf fearfully. As he turned to go, a pulse from the rifle burned the air. Rowan clutched at his hand as red liquid flowed from a burning hole in his palm. "Take that to Oonah. Never double-cross me again." Rowan ran off down the street hurriedly, hoping never to see Sabre again. The wolf hauled the blaster onto his back and spat on the floor in disgust. Amateurs.

BladeGabumon slid down the last few feet of the mountain and skidded onto the sandy ground. Rae followed slowly afterwards, carefully lowering herself and her heavy bag to the ground. Once she steadied herself, BladeGabumon looked at her expectantly. "The digivice, please?" he said exasperatedly. Reluctantly, Rae handed it back. As he reached over her hand, the bright yellow light shone from the digivice again. "Are you sure it's yours?" she asked. BladeGabumon looked unsure. "Well... I found it. So it could be mine. But it only glowed like that when you touched it." "Nah, I've been holding it all the time and that never happened. It's when we both touch it." she theorised, putting her bag on the floor. BladeGabumon cocked his head. "You serious?" Rae nodded. BladeGabumon rubbed his eyes. "So... does that mean..." "Does that mean what?" Rae was getting impatient. BladeGabumon shook his head. "Never mind. I... guess I'd better take you through the forest too. There are lots of digimon in there, none of whom you'd want to mess with." -
I liked Movie 3. It wasn't spectacular, but I enjoyed it. It went just that little bit deeper and darker than the first two. Albeit not by very much. The ending was rather anti-climactic, but still quite good. And the music was twee and sappy for the most part. I find the movie's plotlines more interesting than those in the series, despite them still not having any more character development. Which is a shame, because if they were written properly, they could be really good. Although you'd probably need a new cast of characters for that. Movie 6, perhaps? Anyway, I gather Pokemon 5 stars Latios and Latias. Can anyone confirm?
Originally posted by 9Eagle7Dragon I think it would kick if they made a new SSB. I play melee and it rocks. My only question is: Can they improve on perfection?
Well, as good as it was, it's not quite perfection. Damn close, but not quite. The CPU, as has already been said, I find would often win using cheap hits (e.g. hanging around a cliff edge and hitting you as you grab back on. *insert swear words here*), which annoyed me incessantly. Mind you, what more could you add, save for the odd character or two? The list of possible characters could be:

Link, Wind Waker style and numerous other variations
Wolf O'Donnell (I can dream)
Samurai Goroh
Ridley *hopes very muchly ^_^;*
More Pokemon
Birdo
Toad -________-
Krystal?
Pit
Some other obscure Nintendo Characters (like Eric the Bugman or whatever his name was)
And you may have a couple of levels around them. But really, it's not much to constitute an entire new game around it. I think, as unfortunate as it may be, that there's little more they can actually put in a new game without getting Mario Party syndrome.

Solo Tremaine replied to ~Mystical Pan~'s topic in Theater
Aidian rolled over and faced the wall, his mind racing with questions. He wished someone else would wake up so he could distract himself from his mind. He couldn't keep running away. Something wasn't right about what had happened. He played over the memories in his dream, exploring every last detail. No, something wasn't right at all. The mission that the warriors had set against Danormis would be hard, but once he'd served his purpose he could leave. He hoped it'd be soon. Nepenthe and Jedah playing in his mind were starting to wear him down. He didn't mind Nepenthe's presence so much. In fact, it was intoxicating. Much like Jedah, but in a much more welcoming and calming way than his dark designs. He stood up and sat outside mouth of the cave to relax. The wind soothed his thoughts. As he sat down, he brushed some flecks of mud from his pale blue armour and watched the trees for signs of movement. -
