I've never liked Valentine's Day. Not just because of the way it commercialises love and makes it seem based around gifts and roses, but because I'm always sourly disappointed with not hearing from anyone. I have no secret admirers, and if I did I'd much prefer them to come out and tell me raher than leave me with a cryptic clue that makes me just wonder who on Earth it is and then not talk to anyone. I don't do anything. In fact, I do my best to do nothing, because everyone around me seems to be doing something with their girlfriends/boyfriends/pets/whatever and it makes me just very cynical about everything. So it's not a normal day for me. It's much worse ^_^ Actually, last year wasn't too bad. I was given a rose by a girl I knew because I'd been a good friend to her and helped her out lots. That was the nicest thing that I've ever been given on Valentine's Day. Although I did get ribbed a bit because she was going out with someone else. Gotta love those rumours. Anyway, I've never had anyone to give things to on Velentine's Day. I'd much prefer to celebrate my love for someone else on a different day to everyone else. At least that way it's a little more special.

BladeGabumon and Rae said nothing to each other as he lead her carefully round his mountain path. She watched him climb down a set of outcrop and land deftly in the snow. "Hey..." she said as she hauled her rucksack over the edge, clutching the digivice. "What is this thing?" "It's a digivice." he said gruffly. "Er... what does it do?" she asked, tossing it from one hand to the other. "I don't know." BladeGabumon snapped. "I think... it's supposed to give digimon power. But I've never seen one work before." "Then how do you know it works?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips. She was rather sceptical about this. She didn't even know where she was. Or how to get back home. Well, she didn't care whether it worked or not. As long he wanted it, she'd be able to at least gat some way back home. BladeGabumon turned round and looked her in the eye. "Look..." she gave him a stern look back. Something was strange about her. Well, apart from being a human in the Digital World, there was something else. He felt... almost as if he should have known her before. Like a distant memory. He realised his cold stare had turned to one of confusion, as had hers, and they both snapped ack. "Look, I'm just getting you to the bottom of the mountain and then I'm having it back, okay?" She sighed. "Okay." She opened her mouth to say something else to him as he turned round, but didn't. Slowly, she followed him down the ridge. -

We did have a discussion about this a while ago, but it am gone. The Yugi and Kaiba ones have already been released in the US (unless this is a second edition or something). The Joey and Pegasus decks are due to be released in March, and as of yet the others are just rumour and speculation. There have been no confirmed news of releases for Mai, Bakura, weevil or Rex. And, to me it seems likely that there won't be, because most of their signature cards have been released already, and they aren't that special, like the Change of Heart for Bakura. Although I've not seen any of their Battle City decks, it still seems a little unlikely to me. EDIT: Gah! Replying too fast for me! -

Aidian woke with a start. Sweat was dripping down his forehead. The dim dawn light was beginning to creep into the mouth of the cave. Opposite him was sat Jedah, who was smiling in a way that Aidian didn't like. Jedah knew he was having nightmares. He cursed the ability to not be able to block other people from seeing his mind. It made running away that much harder. Aidian's gaze met Jedah's steely eyes. "What?" Aidian asked irritably. "Going to gloat?" Jedah shook his head calmly. "I have no need to. You've already given me all the satisfaction I need." Aidian lay back down again with his hands behind his head. There was no point trying to argue with him. Trying to ignore him, he waited for the sun to rise and for the others to wake up. -

Rae looked at the mountainside around her in bewilderment. Where on Earth was she? BladeGabumon peered out from behind the outcrop cautiously. Rae noticed the blade on his head glinting in the light and gasped. He shied back slightly, not knowing what to do. "Hey... are you...?" Rae said, trying to descern whether he was a human or not. BladeGabumon carefully walked out form behind the outcrop and gave her a suspicious look. "Who are you?" Rae was slightly shocked at many things. Not least the digimon's appearence, but also that he could speak. And that he would be that rude. She thought better of herself to question it, though. "I... My name's Rae. Where am I?" "You're on my mountain..." BladeGabumon said firmly. Rae's jaw dropped. "Am I... on Earth?" BladeGabumon scrunched his nose in surprise. "No! You're in the Digital World." he said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. At least, it was to him. Shock pounded into rae's stomach. She fell to her knees and looked up at the sky. Another world? She felt sick. BladeGabumon's expression softened a bit. "Are you alright?" he asked. Rae shook her head. "I just need a minute. I'm in another world?" "No, this one." Rea sighed. "I know that... I mean another to mine." "What?" "Who are you, anyway?" she asked, her confidence returning slightly. BladeGabumon clenched his fist. All he wanted was to be left alone. He didn't want to have to deal with some confused stranger form another world. "I'm BladeGabumon. A digimon. And-" "What's this?" Rae pulled the digivice from the wood. It was a metallic silver and blue colour. BladeGabumon launched himself forwards. "That's mine!" he shouted. As his claws reached it, a bright yellow light exploded from its screen. The two of them fell backwards and the digivice landed in Rae's hand. "What was that?" she asked, bewildered. BladeGabumon shook himself, now thorooughly annoyed. "I don't care. Now... give it back." Rae had an idea. "You can have it back..." BladeGabumon stepped forward to take it. She snatched it away from him. "...after you get me off this mountain." She gave him a smug grin. "Fine." he muttered as he bagen leading her down a safe part of the mountain... -
Mewtwo returns isn't, strictly speaking, an official movie, as it was animated by the US animation team (so I assume. That may not be right, though). It wasn't released in cinemas in Japan or in the US- it was a straight-to-video sequel. So Celebi: A Timeless Encounter (er... Pokemon 4ever) is still movie 4, and so on after that. I guess.

Sorry, favourite threads are against OB rules. This is due mostly to the fact that they bring about little intelligent discussion. Seeing as Bakura is the best in the series anyway, there'd be little to debate ;)

RPG DIgital Destiny: Stone of Enlightened endurance.
Solo Tremaine replied to TheShinje's topic in Theater
The sky began to darken. Rae was in the middle of the city now, and the first few specs of rain splashed on her face. She was almost at Jess' house. All she needed to do was turn down the alleyway. As she neared the entrance, something about the air felt strange. Slightly electrical. Ignoring it, she ran down the alley. ----- As BladeGabumon walked up the mountainside, he noticed his claw touch something embedded in the wood. Curious, he threw the wood down and looked at it. It was a strange metal object, almost like a watch. He pressed a button on it. Suddenly, a pillar of intense white light shot into the sky, past the clouds, and into space... --- Suddenly, a massive shaft of light exploded from the sky and thundered down inbetween the two tall buildings, right in front of her. She stopped, frightened and in awe. She could feel herself being dran towards it. Something about the light intruiged her. It was almost as if it had come for her. It certainly wasn't lightning. Slowly, she leaed forwards and touched it. Suddenly, something pulled her forwards, launching her onto the white shaft of light. The buildings around her shifted out of focus and suddenly zipped away, while in front of her she could see a snowy mountainside flying straight towards her... --- BladeGabumon watched as a shining object shot down the shaft of light. He thought it was a meteor at first, and dived for cover behind a rocky outcrop. It slowed as it neared the ground, and he noticed that it was a girl. A human girl. He'd found a digivice... -
I was recently given about 20-odd anime videos to watch by one of my mum's friend's husbands, who's very into anime. Some of them I've never heard of before. Does anyone know about The Winds of Amnesia? That's one which interested me, and I'll watch it when I have time. I was also given Megazone 23 (which I've watched. Wasn't amazingly spectacular, in my opinion), Madox-01, lots of Dominoin Tank Police, four Project A-ko episodes, Lensman, Odin, Cyber City: Oedo 808, and Venus Wars. Any of these worth watching? Also, I really want to see the Fire Emblem anime series. ADV released it on VHS in '95, but it has since disappeared into obscurity. Has anyone seen it?

It depends. If the letter begins with a vowel sound (e.g. 'F' would be 'eff'), then you use an. 'C' is 'see', so you use 'a'. Anyway, it's probably best to PM a moderator about questions like this in future. Not that I guess it matters that everyone who needs to know how to do linky things gets to see it.

*Puts down six-shooter* That's okay, Shiek. ;) But... I'm not sure a Bakura thread would get much varied discussion, seeing as everyone thinks he's great anyway. It'd be like a favourites topic... all about Bakura o_O; What I wonder about in the Yugi-Yami transition, Duellist Kingdom anyway, is how Yugi's shoes change. When he's Yugi, he has shoes and trousers. When he's Yami, no shoes, it becomes like the bottom half of a (rather stylish) baby-gro.

RPG DIgital Destiny: Stone of Enlightened endurance.

NOTE: Rae has hair like this: http://www.cartoonparty.net/evangelion/evangelion4.jpg BladeGabumon shook his fur coat roughly. It was much hotter than he was normally used to. Ripping some branches from a tree, he started making his way back towards the mountainside. It had been a long time since he'd last spent more than an hour down the mountains. The sun was a lot more powerful here, and there were no winds here to cool him. When he reached the river, he looked at his reflection briefly. He had a much more slender face than a normal Gabumon, and he was less paunchy, which often got him confused for being a female. He never knew how to react to being around others. He'd never fitted in with the other Gabumons, and so more often than not had to be by himself. He shrugged it off. He was better for it, he thought. Not dependent on anyone. That was better. Hurriedly, he made his way back to his cave in the mountains. * * * * * "WHAT?" Rae shrieked. "Hun, I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner." her mother soothed. "Your father and I didn't know how you were going to take it, and the longer it took, the harder it got to say anything." "But..." Rae felt like crying. She loved the friends she had here. They were the best she'd ever had. She didn't want to leave everything behind. "...two weeks? That's nothing." she choked. Her mother looked at her with apologetic and loving eyes. "I am so sorry, Rae. Do you want me to take you to see them now?" Rae shook her head. "No thanks, Mom. I need to get my head together first." She quietly walked upstairs to her bedroom and closed the door quietly behind her. Sitting heavily on her bed, she began to think of everything she liked about this town. Why did dad have to accept the job offer? The one down the road would have done. It wasn't high-pay, but at least they'd still be here... She walked over to the mirror and tied her long orange hair back, sighing deeply and watching two large tears slide slowly down her cheeks. Then, she made her decision. Wiping her eyes, she grabbed her washbag and threw it into a large rucksack which she pulled out from under the bed. She took some clothes and shoved them inside. Being careful not to make any noise, she unclipped something from the wall. It had been given to her by her grandfather and meant an awful lot to her. It was a 42 inch long sword in a silver and blue scabbard. She'd always liked swords, and she wasn't going to leave this behind. Wrapping it in some black jeans, she shoved what would fit of it into her bag and fastened the clips, the end of the scabbard poking from the top. She ran over to her wardrobe and hurriedly put on her favourite black denim jacket. It went well with her blue and white t-shirt. Grabbing a pendant from her dressing table, she looked at her rucksack. She was ready to run away. -
I've seen it *ignores fact that is only 17 o_O;* I didn't like it that much. I guess it's a acquired taste, but I thought it dragged for too long. Bits of it I liked, like the music (Howard Shore strikes again), and I can't remember many other scenes. It was very dramatic, but just not to my taste, really. According to my film buff friend, it's one of Martin Scorsese's (sp?) more mediochre films. But I've never seen any others, so I've nothing to compare it too.

Writing Digimon: Regaining Lost Passion

They're supposed to correspond with their Crest colour, I believe. I still like it, DM ^_^ Even reading it again I can't find much fault with the dialogue style. It's well-written. -

BladeGabumon adjusted his thick fur coat. It felt sticky. He didn't usually venture from the mountains, and if he did, he never liked it to be for more than a few minutes. He didn't like the heat. He'd been down here for half an hour already. There just wasn't any wood anywhere. "Where is it?" he asked himself, rather confused. There'd been loads of firewood about last week. Where had the dead trees gone? Perplexed, he scratched his head and wandered off downstream, keeping an eye out for other Digimon. -
I assume that includes the Yu-Gi-Oh one as well?

I don't know what you're trying to do here, but it shouldn't be here, at any rate. If you want to duel someone, go to the Battle Arena, but the duel has to be in a story context, like the series. And don't double-post, please. Use the 'Edit' button.

RPG The Chosen RPG (Yeah yeah...sucky title, eh?)
Solo Tremaine replied to ~Mystical Pan~'s topic in Theater
Aidian stayed quiet during the whole scene, eyeing Michael. He'd hardly said anything to them since they'd 'met', and all he seemed to be doing now was staring outside the cave. He shrugged. As long as he didn't want to hurt them then that was alright. Lying onto his side, he prepared himself to sleep for what was left of the night. The rain beating down on the ground outside was a relaxing noise, but he still preferred the tranquility of the mountains. Silence was much more preferable to noise, he thought. Closing his eyes, he slowly drifted off to sleep. -
OOC:Hmm. Might just be us, then... Ah well. We'll see how we do. --------------------------------------- The skies above Cornaria were almost in a deadlock of fighter craft, each fighting for a place to land. Barging his ship between two Army fighters trying in vain to keep some sort of order to the amount of craft flying around, he found a convenient crater on the outskirts of the city. He could see hundreds of mercenaries running towards the arena, some of which he'd had run-ins with in the past. The arena was a massive Colusseum-shaped building set in almost the dead centre of the city. Having been a landmark for countless centuries, it was the hub of activity when the war was over. All sorts of celebrations, meetings and tournaments were held there. A perfect place for an assassination. Ripping the plasma rifle from his cockpit, he started running towards the city centre, as, in the distance a familiar starship roared through the atmosphere.

RazeGallantmon followed the light of his staff through the narrow coridors and into a large chamber. All around the walls were strange markings, almost like those of a serpent. Thinking nothing of it, he moved out of the way of the door to let Apsaramon and Rakshemon in. A thin pillar of light shone in from a hole high in the ceiling. Cautiously, they moved further into the room. The eerie silence made Aidan feel uncomfortable. MetalArmadillomon could feel it oo, and RazeGallantmon began to struggle walking. "Hey, don't fall apart yet. We'll need cover to get out of here." Apsaramon hissed as they crept round the pillar of light. At the other end of the room was a large plinth, which looked like an eerie stone tomb. Very slowly, RazeGallantmon grabbed the top and eased it off the base. It thundered to the ground, sending defening echoes reverberating around the room. They peered inside...

Wah! -__- I am shamed. Yes, you're right ryo. Blah. I should have known that, especially since I wrote about it about a month ago... Ah well. I think the character whose favourite card isn't in the game is... Pegasus? The Ties of Friendship or something like that. The one with Cecilia on it?

Too many! Heh, five. What was the lowest that Kaiba's Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon Attack points got down to when he was against Yugi in Duellist Kingdom?
