1. I would offer to partner you or c_l but I've already written mine in. Unless he died very suddenly or something like that. You could play your own if you wanted, or ask someone very nicely to join up with you.
2. Rhike sped round the corner to see a man holding an injured hawk in his arms. The warrior skidded to a halt behind him and got ready to draw his staff. Rhike looked at the dead bleeding body on the floor. "Artemis! You killed him!" Rhike yelled, horrified. "And you grill me about using violence..." the warrior sighed. "Rhike!" Artemis was shocked. "You're supposed to ba back at the cave. What if someone sees you? And what's he doing here?" he pointed straight at the warrior, who glared back. "Listen, bub, I don't want to be here either. This 'Rhike' dragged me along. Tell mke what you want and then I'll leave." the warrior growled, putting his staff back. Rhike crawled over to Artemis, who was scowling at him angrily. "Please, Artemis, he's my partner." "Partner?" Coeus spluttered. "Look, I had to find him sooner or later. He's a good warrior." Rhike whispered urgently. "A partner's supposed to be true of heart. Can we trust him? He looks like a mercenary bandit." Artemis hissed. "Oh, and you don't, standing in front of a dead body?" Artemis sighed frustratedly. "Fine, but he's your responsibility." He walked over to the warrior and held out his hand. "Artemis." he said bluntly. "Tyrius." the warrior answered back. "What happened to your bird?" "She took a hit from a sword. Now come on, we shouldn't be out here. Rhike, get underground." "A sword? She should be dead." Artemis paused. "How did you know she was female?" Tyrius thought for a moment. How did he know? It just seemed... right. She looked like a she. "What does it matter?" he spat. Artemis sighed. Why couldn't Rhike have chosen someone who he could at least have a friendly conversation with. Even Znid was more co-operative. "It doesn't. Let's go."
3. Before you start an RPG, you have to recruit members to play in it. This thread goes in the Recruitment forum. Basically, here you post what details people need to post to sign up, and any story information. Then, once you think everyone's signed up, you start the actual RPG in the Adventure Arena. Hope this helps.
4. Or it could be the Chippendales- a group of male strippers. Not sure you'd want that image carried around with you...
5. I can't wait for this RPG to start. I hope it won't be too long. If we need more bad people then I'll happily change. What's a Bio-fuse, by the way?
6. Go to: http://members.tripod.com/~pmtranslation/bom.html. It's the first and best translation of both of the Pokemon CD Dramas (Team Rocket Forever- It's a White Tomorrow! and Myuutsu no Tanjo). Excellent site, which is well worth visiting. There's a little pull-down menu at the bottom which directs you to where you want to go.
7. I thought that was what you were talking about anyway. I missed 'The Birth of NERV'! :bawl: Stupid VCR. Grrr... Did I miss anything important? Or is that like asking whether the Universe is 'fairly big'?
8. Further into the forest, Aidan, Rokas and their digimon were investigating the small plinth Rokas had found earlier. "So where is it?" Aidan asked quietly as Rokas slinked around the bushes. "Through there." Rokas whispered back, pointing into a massive clearing. Right in the centre of it was the plinth with the four symbols on it. "What do you think it is?" Gabumon asked quietly. "I don't like it. I wouldn't be surprised if it had some kind of mystical power. It feels cold..." Gabumon said, clinging to Rokas' trousers. Aidan stepped forwards into the clearing. "I can see those symbols. What do you think they mean?" "They could be a map, or maybe the plinth's a key to opening up something bigger, like the pyramid." Rokas explained. The bat statue on top of the plinth glared at them coldly. It filled them with a sense of dread. Slowly they crept forwards until they were only a few feet away. A horrible, cold feeling swept over them like ice flowing through their viens. "I don't like this. Let's go." MetalArmadillomon said nervously. "It could be important in finding out what's going on here. We still don't know where we're supposed to go yet." Aidan said quietly, stepping forwards again. "Can't we look at it later? Or at least when we have more people around." Gabumon asked. Rokas nodded. "Yeah. We didn't tell anyone that we were leaving. They might be wondering where we are." "Fair enough." Aidan sighed. They turned around and walked back towards the cabin, being watched by the bat statue, whose eyes began to glow... *** When they arrived back at camp, Aidan was met with a stern look from John. "How long have you known that Frankie could have seizures." Aidan looked confused. "Only about an hour. Why? What's wrong?" "She's just had another one. I'm worried about her." John said quietly. "Is she okay?" Aidan asked urgently. "Yeah, she's okay now. Just a little shaken. But-" They were interrupted by a groan from behind them. Draguiymon had woken up.
9. There was no-one there. Confused, the warrior turned back to his horse. "Excuse me? That's rude," the voice said again. The warrior turned back round. Nothing. Suddenly, he noticed something black down by hie feet. It was a large, scaled creature. He jumped back in alarm. "What are you?" "I think you mean 'Who are you?'. I'm Rhike." "I meant what I said- what are you? Animals shouldn't be able to speak." The warrior stepped back slightly, moving his staff into an offensive position. "Look, I shouldn't be here. The others don't know. But I've been looking for you." Rhike explained. "Let me guess, talking Rhike wants the bounty too, right? Don't flatter yourself. You wouldn't last a minute up against me." he sneered, looming over the pangolin. Rhike glared back at him angrily. Suddenly, the warrior shook violently for a few seconds, then dropped to the ground. Looking around, Rhike dragged him into an alleyway. The warrior groaned. "Alright... what do you want with me?" "We have to find the others." he whispered. "Others? There are more of you?" the warrior sighed exasperatedly. Rhike nodded. "Great. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, I get dragged into some stupid scheme with a talking pin cushion." the man growled, moving the staff into a holster on his back. Rhike coughed angrily. "I don't appreciate that. I've come a long way to find you, and I'm not going to put up with comments like that. This is important. I'll explain more when we find the others." All of a sudden, they heard a series of roars and yells from another street. Rhike looked over in the direction of an opposite side-alley and ran off, the warrior close behind him.
10. OOC: Have we lost Shyguy and Ginny? Their characters haven't been in it for ages. ----------------------------------------------- A few minutes later, when breakfast was finished and the bowls piled into the sink, they stepped outside. Frankie pouted at the sight of the washing up. She opened the window. "Hey! I'm not washing this up on my own!" she shouted. Hurriedly, Veronica and Kimberly dashed inside to help. Aidan looked to Rokas. "This stone thing? Where was it?" Rokas pointed through the trees. "Near where the pyramid was. It's strange." Gabumon stood next to him, gripping his trousers. "It's creepy. I don't know what it is about it, but I don't like it." Aidan thought for a bit while MetalArmadillomon crawled up next to him. Gabumon smiled a little nervously. "Let's check it out. What's the worst that could happen?" Aidan asked. Rokas gestured to Draguiymon, lying motionless next to Kairi. "Ah. Yeah." he sighed. "Well, we won't go that close to it, then." The four of them disappeared into the trees.
11. The bandit didn't even see him move. Suddenly, he was on the floor, a great pain in his head. He heard angry ahouts and the sound of metal against metal. Someone let out a pained scream and fell to the floor beside him, not miving. He looked up to see the warrior fighting the last two of the eight bandits. One was through a window, three had run off, and the rest were on the floor. With a swift movement of the staff, the warrior whirled it round, knocking the sword clean from the second bandit's hand. he backed away into a wall and sprinted off, leaving the last one alone. Shaking, he threw his sword to the floor and ran off, wanting to keep his life. "Idiots." the warrior spat as he strode over to the horse. Just as he saddled up, he heard a voice behind him. "Impressive. But you didn't need to do that." Not bothering to turn round, he made a noise of disgust. "What's it to you how I fight my battles? Leave me alone." he growled. "How long do you think violence will last you? What happens when you come up against someone stronger than you?" the voice said. Angry, the warrior drew his staff and whirled round. "Listen, you..."
12. I've not heard that before... Strange, inverted English. I occasionally use 'straight up', as in 'Exactly', or 'I really am telling the truth'.
13. The first anime I ever saw was Laputa, Castle in the Sky. I was about three, and I remember finding it very scary. Skip ahead nine or so years, when Pokemon first appeared everywhere, and then I started getting into the series. I kept telling myself I hated it, but I'd watch anyway. The same with Digimon. Then I saw Transformers: The Movie, Mononoke, Outlaw Star, Evangelion, Nadesico, Hamtaro, Transformers RiD and I became an anime nut. I have about 20 anime soundtracks now, too.
14. That could easily be changed. They'd just have to make new cards. This could stop card theft, too, if you think about it- if your cards were electronically registered onto a mainframe or whatever, then, if they got stolen, it could automatically lose anyone who uses them the fight, so they'll know not to trade cards with thieves. That would be interesting. Or there could be another type of security feature that could help try and prevent card theft. It could make trading difficult, though, having to re-register cards and stuff. Maybe it woulnd't work so well, actually, because all they'd need to do would be to change the registration. Unless, of course, you had to authorise the trade first. Then it'd be okay. But I have a wild, far-fetched imagination.
15. I hope we see the Triceratops guys again. I loved them. I could have had a figure of the commander, but nooo. I had to go for the metal one that Donatello built. *Sigh*. I still have him. He's silly. The one thing I would have died for (and still would today, possibly) was the Blimp. I wanted that so badly. But never mind. I got a little helicopter intstead. It had a winch! The only episodes I can remember a great deal about were the ones where Donatello lost his memory after getting hit on the head, and the one where Splinter was caught in limbo after... something happened. I think it was something to do with a alien spacecraft in the junkyard. Anyway... I think I've grown out of this series now. I saw the first movie and I have to say it scared me quite a bit. I loved Splinter, though. The live action series reminded me too much of Power Rangers for my liking, and the inclusion of a female turtle (not that I'm complaining) made it seem too much like they were trying too hard to be PC, which I didn't like so much. Terrapins are much better, anyway. Maybe they could redesign them a little, to make them look more flashy. The roundedness of the others makes them look strange. Turtles have beaks. That would be interesting to see...
16. Aw. There was me thinking you wanted real Millennium Eyes...
17. Sorry for the double post, but here's another pic- MetalArmadillomon. He's not coloured, but imagine him having purple eyes and being mostly black and dark grey. Enjoy! Chapter 4's progressing... It's called 'The Gateway' right now, although that may well change. Both pics are courtesy of my sister, who is a very good artist. Tempestmon will arrive sometime after 13th December, if anyone's interested...
18. Glad you like it! I changed a scene in Part 2 of Chapter 3, where Tempsetmon appears to Aidan, Gabumon and MetalArmadillomon. I think this version's better. And, just for general interest, I have a pic of Aidan. He would normally be wearing shorts or armour, by the way.
19. They do appear in Myuustu no Tanjo. They're both in the first part, and Madame Boss gives Miyamoto her mission. From then on in, all we hear is Miyamoto every now and again in the mountains looking for Mew. I can't remember Butch and Cassidy's motto either. It was 'nastier', though. I know one of the lines was 'Surrender to us now or you'll surely lose the fight!', which didn't really fit. I liked Team Roket's song. Not just 'It's a White Tomorrow', but also Team Rocket's Rockin, from the dub series. It's cool!
20. OOC: Sorry to hear that, Kairi. Asthma's horrible when you have acold. If it's of any consolation to you, I've done my back in. Get better! :) ----------------------------------- An evil grin beared hundreds of razor-sharp teeth. The darkness... a voice hissed. So wonderfully deep... Let it grow... Let it consume... your MIND! Kairi jumped. MetalArmadillomon was standing in front of her, offering her a bowl of soup. "It's a little cold, but it's good." he said, wishing he could do more. "Thanks, MetalArmadillomon..." she said quietly, taking the bowl. "Is she okay?" he asked, seeing something glinting on the ground. "I don't know. She hasn't moved in ages." MetalArmadillomon walked over to the glint. Kairi moved to stop him, but it was too late. "Your digivice... are you alright?" he asked quietly, handing it back to her. She took it and held it to her chest. She didn't answer. His head lowering, he went back inside, leaving her with her thoughts.
21. The bar fell silent. A bulky man slammed open the doors and signalled for everyone to leave. Silently, they slinked away, except for the man sitting at the bar in his silver and black armour. "We don't like your kind here." the bulky man snarled. The armoured man glared out at him from under his helmet, his silver eyes filled with menace. "I guess I'll leave, then." Slowly, almost leisurely, he stood up and started to walk out. Suddenly, a loud crack pirced the air and the whip wrapped around the man's neck. "Not before you gte rid o' that armour o' yours. I reckon it'd fetch a high price at any trade fair..." the muscular bandit grinned. The young warrior drew back his fist and slammed it into the man's face, sending a shower of red over the floor. The man fell backwards out of the window, having let go of the whip. Smashing through the glass, he landed with a sickening crack on the deck below. Groaning with pain, he opened his eyes to meet the sharp metal of a bladed quaterstaff at his throat. "Where's the nearest City from here?" the nam snapped. "East. Through the forest by the Black mountains." he croaked, barely able to breathe. The man looked around. "Is that your horse?" he asked, pointing over to a large Shire horse drinking at a trough. The injured man nodded. "Not any more." The warrior snarled, walking over to it. Painfully, the man he left on the decking raised an arm. All around him, he heard the clicks and chinks of metal swords being drawn. Appearing from every corner were nasty-looking bandits, each with a malicious glint in his eye. "You've got a mighty high price on your head, fugitive," one of them leered at him. The others laughed. "The Commander of Alteas wants you bad, and he's goin' pay us good for caputring you, dead or alive. Which would you prefer?" The swords around him all rose up. There were eight of them. Whirling his quaterstaff round in the air and pointing it at the leader, he gave them a defiant look. "Dead, then..." the bandit sneered.
22. He looks a bit ill, doesn't he? I think the fact that he's going to be on GameCube's gone to his head. *Watches movie* WOWEE! I Want this game so much! But there was... and... Mokuba! Pegasus! Kaiba! Some funny white-haired guy/girl who isn't Bakura! Music! It looks amazing! *Joins Domon in spontaneuosly convulsing on the floor* Mind you, I've never played an RPG before. Not even Zelda. I've never been too keen on them. I hope it's good enough to warrant me getting it in terms of playability and gameplay.
23. I'm from the South of England and have a Southern accent, supposedly. It just sounds... boring, really. Not much to it. I don't really use much slang. I used to say 'Gorden Bennet' (basically an expression of surprise/alarm/shock etc) lots, but I'm over that now. I heard some kids trying to make up a new swear word the other day. It was hilarious! They have absolutely no idea... anyway, people use more or less the same as your lot, Deus, except 'duck'. Actually, I can't think of many slang examples I've heard down here. Mostly because I don't tend to talk to the people who use them most often. Oh yeah- 'muppet' is heard a fair bit, meaning 'idiot', or something along those lines. I always thought the Muppets pretty smart, to tell the truth... I make up my own words, like 'Splinge', and I'll say 'Fudge' to replace certain profanities when I remember. That's about it, I think.
24. We're lucky if we get snow full stop. Otherwise it's just rain and clouds and floods. Like people have said, it's best to be yourself- often people can tell if you're bending the truth to try and create an image, and they'll accept you far better if they can see you're fr real. I often find the best way to start a friendship is with laughter. Not raucus jokes or anything, but by making people laugh a little it cane make starting friendships a lot easier, as things are more relaxed. And don't be afraid to talk to people. They won't eat you or anything. As with being in any place, there'll be people you won't want to make friends with, but if you find them then there's no obligation to talk to them again. Find nice people. Good luck!
25. That's a nice name, Mist. It's very elegant.
