"Get outta here, you useless rat!" A scrawny man flew through the window in a windy desert town. Sand blew down the streets in small dust-devils, scouring any unprotected eyes. A young man watched the reject pick himself and scurry off into another bar, a look of disgust on his face. "I hate this town." he murmured, unclipping his quaterstaff from his back. He guessed he'd need to reach it in a hurry. Slamming open the doors, he went inside. The once raucus jeering and chanting of the drinkers was shattered immediately. The silence was broken only by the slow creak of a rocking chair. He strode up to the bar and sat on a stool. Slowly, the bar relaxed again, and the noise began to ebb back. "A shot of whatever doesn't dry your throat." he growled, flicking a piece of dust from his shoulder armour. The barman slammed a shot of milk in front of him and sneered. "Fine." the man sighed, gulping it down. Tumbleweeds bounced around outside. One of them stopped up against a piece of wood. From behind it, a heavily armoured foot came crashing down on it, its owner intently watching the man at the bar. He drew out a long metal whip and stomped towards the building...

"That's... awful. I'm sorry to hear all that." Aidan said quietly, as Frankie gave him a look as if to say 'Now you think I'm strange, too'. "Are the seizures painful?" "Not really. Well, not often. Sometimes I'll hit my head on something, but the pain goes away eventually. Everything does..." she said sadly. Aidan looked outside. The others were collecting wood and trying to avoid the unconscious Draguiymon. "Listen," he said softly. "I want you to know you're not alone any more. We all have digimon here, so there's no-one to have to hide from, no-one to call you insane. You shouldn't be afraid to talk to people. I know often it's hard to place trust sometimes... but we're not going to hurt you. We're all your friends. And we have food, so you should eat it. Okay?" Frankie gave him a weak smile. It felt strange having someone talk to her. Almost like a friend. "Sure. But don't tell anyone else about this, okay?" Aidan smiled. "I won't. Shall I get the others in now?" Ploymon looked at the spoons thoughtfully. "We need seven more. Unless people don't mind getting messy." ------- Outside, MetalArmadillomon looked to the motionless Draguiymon. Kairi was sitting next to her, gently stroking her fur. Kaci walked up next to him and knelt down. "Don't worry about it. We all need space every once in a while. They'll be fine." she said quietly. MetalArmadillomon looked up at her and nodded. "Let's go inside," she said, watching Kitamon slink through the door.

Me needs partner. Do they have to be standard mythical creatures (e.g. dragon, unicorn, harpy or whatever)? Name: Rhike (pronounced 'Rike') Magic element: Electricity Partner Humans name: Tyrius Speices: Pangolin (scaled anteater) I love these creatures. They are in state of existness, too. I think we need more people. If needs be I can not be Rhike and team up with someone else. I don't mind.

OOC: I love Ploymon's name. It has a great sound! --------------------------------------- "...about you." Frankie jumped. So did Ploymon. "About me? Why?" Aidan knelt down next to her, leanding on the arm of the chair. "Are you alright?" Frankie paused. "Yeah..." "Are you sure?" Aidan asked, not taking his eyes from her. She rubbed her neck. "Well... I just thought I'd get breakfast ready and-" "On your own?" Aidan interrupted. "That's lonely work." "I know. But... I..." she started. Ploymon looked anxious. "I can put up with being alone. And besides, Ploymon's here." "Still, you know we're a team now, so we can help any time you need us. Could I give you a hand?" he offered, smiling kindly. "I woulnd't mind. I'm making soup." Frankie smiled back. ***** A little while later, the breakfast was almost ready to be served. Aidan was searching for plates in various cupboards while Frankie laid the table. "Where-" "Top cupboard, second to the right." "Thanks." Aidan carried a massive pile of plates through and dumped them on the table. "How come you have so many?" "I pick 'em up whenever I see them. They tend to break fairly often, so I like having planty in reserve." Frankie answered, wondering how eleven people were going to eat with four spoons. "Fair enough." Aidan replied. Ploymon bounced into the kitchen and returned with a loaf of bread balanced precariously on her head. "How long have you been here?" Aidan asked, watching Ploymon jump onto the table with expert precision. "For a long time now. I can't remember how long, exactly." Frankie said quietly. "What happened?" Aidan asked. "It's a long story, and it sort of explains why I tend to stay by myself with Ploymon. It's not something I enjoy talking about." Aidan pulled up a chair. "I'm listening."

With great power comes great responsability

If something like that hadn't happened to me, I wouldn't have as good a friend as I do now. It was in English sometime two years ago *cue swirly effects and silly wibbly music*, and I knew this guy from Drama club. He was sitting behind me talking to someone about Evil Dead. Anyway, at this point I didn't like the guy that much- I was jealous that he'd managed to get in with the two people who ran the club in a few weeks, even when I hadn't and I'd been going for a year. Anyway, suddenly, he started talking about the Evil Dead take-off in Reboot Season III. I listened for a while, until he said 'I really wished I'd seen that'. Immediately (and I was pretty excited about this), I turned round and told him that I had it on DVD, and that he was welcome to borrow it if he wanted. And from then on in, the rest is history. We've been great friends ever since. *Cue more swirly effects and wibbly music* It's amazing how much of what happens in life is down to chance. Some people would call it fate, and they could be right. I certainly don't regret meeting him, and I think we would have become good friends anyway. It just happened to happen then. And I'm glad it did. -
Hey, blackgatomon! Long time no see! I tend to write the characters as I'd behave too, with a few alterations here and there. Less bad jokes for one thing...

As far as I'm concerned, IQ tests only prove your ability to answer IQ tests. Not that I'm saying you're not smart, Mace, but I feel there's a difference between knowledge and intelligence. You can be smart as anything, but if you don't have the common sense to apply it then you're stuck. On the other hand, you might not know anything much factual but if you've got common sense then you're okay. So I don't think it's trivial knowledge of grammar and information that makes you smart, but the ability to apply what information you have to the right situation in the right way. That would be what I would call intelligence.

Naw, Zuquiaomon's much better-looking! ;) There are many women in Zoids: Fiona, Moonbay, Viola, Rhyss, er... freaky fringe girl, Rudolph's fiancee, Van's sister... um... I think there are some more but I can't remember.

OOC: Get well soon! ---------------------------------------- "So that virus is still inside her?" Rokas asked, daring to edge closer. Kairi nodded sadly. "It only becomes activated when she taps into her Ultimate or Mega forms' power." TitanTriceramon de-digivolved to MetalArmadillomon slowly walked over to the collapsed digimon. "Do you think I played a part in this?" Aidan shook his head. "How could you have done?" The sun was shining brightly now. One by one, the digimon de-digivolved and looked hungrily at their partners. Frankie sighed. "I guess that means we'll have to get breakfast now..."

I guess it's to see if any of the characters match up. It's quite hard to work romances into RPGs without planning them first. At least, I guess it would. I've never played one with a romance in it before.

Is it okay if I join in? Um... Is it okay if my digimon's at the champion level most of the time? I haven't got a Rookie form for him. Name: Aidan Phoenix Nickname: Doesn't have one Age: 17 Digivice&color: D-Power, silver, red and black Friends: Very few. Knows a few people who don't beat him up. Personality: Quiet, generally perceived to be a dreamer. Level-headed in bad situations, but can get quite emotional too. Longs for friendship and adventure. Side: Good Bio: From a well-off family, Aidan hasn't had many problems. He spends a lot of time worrying about other people and does his best to try and help them, whether he's well-received or not. Currently in college, he often spends class-time dreaming about film-like adventures and romances. As a consequence, he often gets beaten up. He has been known to have a few very violent episodes every now and then. He has long white hair (a la Bakura) and wears a red bandanna around his forehead. He has a black sleeveless jacket and a light blue T-Shirt. Romance: Someone who has a good sense of adventure, but who's also sensitive. Digimon-Rookie: Don't have one. Is that okay? If it isn't I'll make one up. Champion: MetalArmadillomon (Tornado Scythe, Blade Strike) Ultimate: WarTriceramon (Blade Charge, Mercury Flare) Bio-Merge: RazeGallantmon (Solaris Javelin, Dark Blade Strike)

I quite liked Jar Jar... *Runs. Very fast* I never really found him that annoying. I guess I could ignore him because I was busy drooling over the droidekas.

The Birth of NERV was the last one broadcast on Sci-fi over here. And I missed it! :bawl: I love Eva lots. I think a section dedicated to it would be much welcome. I'd certainly like to see one. The episodes are so exciting. Even the one where the Evas didn't even do anything (when the Magi were infected by the Angel), and even the summary episode part way through were brilliant. I wish I could see the endings now. Well, at least Death, Rebirth and End of Evangelion. From what I can tell, a more finite conclusion to the series sounds better than a confused one. Bear in mind I've not seen either of them- that's from what I've read on synopses and episode guides.

The only thing I've really got against Emma Watson is her over-accentuated mouth movements. It's so annoying. But other than that I think she's fine. She certainly looks nice, anyway. Daniel Radcliffe says he may not do Goblet of Fire. That's disappointing, but I can see why. He'd be too old to do the others, really, by that time. And I guess he doesn't want to be type-cast, either. That's fair enough. Has anyone seen any films by the future director of Azkaban, Alfonso CuarĂ³n. I've never heard of him before. Ring any bells?

I think that was if the eye didn't accept him- he would go insane and die. But as it did, that didn't matter.

OOC: You isn't mentally ill, Blanko. This bit's quite hard to finish witout Kairi. *Nudge, nudge* ;) I didn't mean to be rude. ------------------------------------------------ Aidan pulled on TitanTriceramon's tail. "Step back. they need space." "What's going to happen?" he asked, careful not to step on his partner. "I don't know. They have to help each other now. All we can do is get ready to protect Kairi if she needs it." Aidan scratched his neck, nervous. Rokas looked up at the Pyramid again. As the dawn's sunlight crept over the horizon, the red light began to fade and the pyramid began to disappear. "Strange..." he thought out loud. "Look!" Chris[2] shouted.

*Drowns in own puddle of drool* Blue Eyes... Flame Swordsman... Dark Magician... All in 128- bit glory... If the Magician of Black Chaos is in it then I'm sold. It looks absolutely fantastic. -
OOC: Guys, this is dying a bit. Don't forget about it please! I like it. ------------------------------------------------ Silleniioiakmon let Kairi touch her claw. A strange feeling slowly crept over her. The digimon around her stood ready to attack. they looked at each other cautiously. "Be careful..." Kaci whispered.

I don't know. I saw it earlier today, and I don't think the Bond films mean as much to me as they did. It was good, and seeing it in the cinema was amazing, but they're a bit boring, really. Once you've seen one then you don't really need to see the others unless you want to see how they change the near-death scene or whatever. That said, I did enjoy a lot of the one-liners and the sword-fighting. I do a lot of that myself and seeing it in a film, let alone a Bond film, is great. When I first heard of the 'invisible car' concept, I thought it sounded pretty rubbih. Sort of along the lines of 'I've got rocket shoes!', or something like that. But it actually worked fairly well in the film. Of course, everything should be taken with a pinch of salt. If you don't take it too seriously it's good fun. The end was good. Possibly the best Bond ending, in my opinion.

Anytime, D_M! I shall have to trek down to Toys R Us sometime, then... Would you be able to mix different series and 'nationalities' of cards, though? I know there are several types and decks and what-have-you. Could you, say, mix Pharoah's Servant boosters with another lot?
-
I wouldn't do that personally. People change. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. The point is you won't be able to change him. It's always hard to lose a friend, especially someone you saw nearly every day. The only thing you can do is let go. I had a really good friend for a year, and then after the summer holidays, he didn't want to know me. I still see him every now and then, and we'll say 'Hi'. But I found some much better friends after that. Ones who I think will stay for many years yet. So the best thing I can suggest would be not to deliberately try and see him, but if you do, then you do. It's more than likely going to turn into a casual relationship anyway. Trying to keep in contact with him only reinforces his behaviour to try and avoid you. Hope this helps. :)

Ooh! Where? Me wanty! But even if I did get some, I'd have nowhere to play it- there are next to no games clubs round here, and if they were they'd all be for Mogic: The Gathering or Pokemon. Yu-Gi-Oh's the only one I'd be interested in, but I'd probably only alienate myself from my friends further if I started collecting...
-
I'm a UK fan! In West Sussex. I've never been to hot on card games, but if there were more tournaments around then I would definately be more interested in it. The distributors just completely ignore the market over here. I've never seen Yu-Gi-Oh cards on sale anywhere here. I'd be tempted to get them if there were.
Originally posted by Jinzouningen17 Now I've read a few threads back that they had different names, which I think the seperate cards do, but all of the cards together are still known as "The Egyption God Cards". Thats something I never thought I'd hear on Yu-Gi-Oh!. Who knows, hopefully soon they'll be able to allow blood on there(or atleast start selling uncut tapes and DVD's.)
Why is that so bad to hear? It's okay for them to talk about gods in this context because it isn't GOD as such- they are a group of gods. They say that in lots of series when referring to things like that. Like Mysterious Cities of Gold, and there are others, but I can't remember them. I doubt they'll show uncut vidoes and DVDs just because they said 'God'. I doubt they'd show the gory bits anyway- vidoes have censors too. And it is a kid's show. What I think they'd do is put back in any bit cut out of the dub for TV viewing (not the bits cut out from the original) and slap that on tape/disc- I severely doubt they'd have the blood. Well, I hope not. Especially not the bit with Bakura licking it from the eye... it seems too risky a thing to do with a popular kid's anime show. But I don't know. They could at least put the guns back in for a DVD release.

I never found out who he was. Or even why I kept getting mistaken for him. My name is similar, though, so that could have been it: Hugo. It's a variation of Hugh (meaning mind, soul, thought) that I think originated in Belgium. So there we are. My middle name's Ralph. Stop laughing.
