If nothing else to include the guns this time round. I saw the episode where two of Pegasus' lackies were confronting Kaiba in his house and it was just silly. "If you don't come with us I'll point at you!". Gawk!
Originally posted by vegeta rocker I said i hated Pokemon (and still do) but i find myself watching it for the sake of team rocket. I also said i would never become one of those little kids mobbing the sticker machines for DBZ stickers......i have failed.
That's exactly what happened to me with Pokemon, Digimon, Nadesico and Evangelion. I can't help it... The major thing I'm really trying to avoid at the moment is smoking. I never want to start, but the more people around me do, the more I feel I could do it. It frightens me, because I know what it can do to you. That's one thing I'm determined not to go back on my word about. I've never said 'Im not going to be religious', as I was a Methodist for a very brief period when I was very small and incapable of thinking what I was and wasn't never going to do (don't you just love double negatives?). besides, I like having a little faith, even if it's not in anything specific. I always feel like something's watching me. Maybe that's just paranoia...

they can't get them in the right order on DVD. The first volume had some episodes on it which weren't the first five. They were that last five. Grr... it really annoys me when they do that. It makes trying to see a series in order very difficult. I saw an advert for Robots In Disguise figures. It was terrible. A disgrace even to RiD. :p

Apparantly, according to Official StarWars Magazine, LucasFilm have sold the rights to Cartoon Network to do an animated series of Star Wars entitled 'The Clone Wars'. I onder what it's going to be like. If it's anything like Droids (which I have half an apisode of :D), Ewoks or the Holiday Special, I think I'll have to put myself on permanent cringe mode. I really liked Episode II. personally, it's my favourite one so far. If the storyline's good, I can ignore the acting and script. And I love the music, too. The Acklay was the best creature in it, I think. Even though Hasbro can't make a good action figure of it... Grr. Jango beats Bond any day in terms of coolness.

I always find it sad when people go out looking for trouble. I can't understand why they do it. Maybe it's just for the kick of beating someone up, exerting power or what-have-you, but it seems utterly pointless, and the costs of doing it far outweigh the gains. For example, if you start a fight, the chances are you'll get hurt, arrested and then maybe fined/sued. What do you get out of it? Maybe a short busrt of exercise running away, and that's about it. And a detailed look at the legal system. People who do that just don't seem to understand the grief they can cause their victims. You imagine if you go out looking for a fight and then really badly beat someone up. If you slam their head into something hard enough, you'll give them brain damage. And even if they don't, they'll be cautious about going to bars for ages afterwards, causing no end of social problems. Idiots, all of them.

Blearily, Aidan woke up. He didn't know how long he'd been asleep. From the sound of things, not for very long. He had leaves in his hair. Grunting in frustration, he pulled them out and looked around. John had joined them, along with a new kid and a strange digimon that looked a little like a two-tone bean bag with wings and legs. "Hi, guys." he said, sitting up. "Wah!" Chris jumped. "Don't do that! You made me think you were some kind of ghost. Who are you?" Aidan rubbed his eyes and stood up. "I'm no ghost. I'm Aidan. Pleased to meet you." Chris stood up and shook his hand, still chewing on a piece of fish. "Chris. This is Patamon." he pointed over to the bean-bag digimon, who waved happily. "Where's your digimon?" "Er... He's..." he began, looking nervous. Suddenly, a rustle in the bushes distracted them. An anxious-looking MetalArmadillomon crawled from underneath a bush. "...here. He's called MetalArmadillomon." he beamed as the digimon crawled up next to him, looking guilty. "Aidan, can we talk?" he asked quietly. "Sure." Aidan whispered. "Be back soon." he said to Chris, smiling. They started walking into the trees. MetalArmadillomon stopped and looked at the ground. "Aidan... you know..." he paused for a second. Suddenly, he collapsed into tears. "I wish none of this had happened! I didn't want to kill anyone. Now she's alone and I'm damned forever. I'm sorry..." Aidan knelt down and put a hand on his shoulder. The digimon looked up at him, his eyes wet with tears. "I'm sorry too. There's nothing we can do to change the past, but you have to learn to leave things behind. Just as Renamon will have to learn to. I know you aren't evil, and that's why I won't leave your side," he said comfortingly. MetalArmadillomon sniffed and dried his eyes. "Really?" "Really. This is what I've been dreaming of all my life. I don't want to lose it now." They hugged each other tightly. "Now, let's try and get some sleep. It's been a long day." MetalArmadillomon's stomach rumbled. "I could use some food." "Let's go back to Frankie's camp. She's got food there." As they turned to go back, they heard a massive crash, followed by frantic screams. Hurriedly, they ran towards the source... ----------- "Kitamon, watch out!" Kaci yelled as Pouncemon lunged at her, claws outstretched. Quick as a flash, Kitamon jumped free of the evil digimon's attack and flew over her back. "Claw Swipe!" she roared, slashing at the digimon's back. Pouncemon hissed in pain and thrust back an arm, narrowly missing the small flying lion. Kairi watched as Silleniimon stood ready to leap into battle. Suddenly, she stopped. From the other side of the clearing, she saw them. Aidan and MetalArmadillomon. She froze, just as Pouncemon's claw came shooting towards her. Kitamon saw the danger she was in and slammed into her side, knocking her out of the claw's path. Kaci and Kairi sighed with relief. Pouncemon simply grinned evilly, showing off all of her sharp gleaming white teeth...

I'm glad to say I've never been drunk, and hopefully I never will. From what I've heard, it's not a pleasant experience. I've had to look after someone who was drunk, though. That really made me see how stupid you look when you are. He kept shouting at the top of his voice 'I hate being drunk!', and then spilling the water I'd got for him. Grr... The weirdest times I have are ones where I'm not drunk. Once, we managed to end up with a bonnet and boot of a car after a walk, and we got very wet trying to cross a river. And I've done street theatre (prancing around in costumes in front of people), and that can get pretty surreal. I was a detective's assistant with a strange affliction with swans...

He he... I loved this movie. I had it on video until about three years ago, when I realised I had a brain. It wasn't bad as such, I just grew out of it and couldn't accept the fact that it was supposed to be Mario. I was a sceptic then. I kinda wish I still had it. But it was my favourite film for a good long time. That time is over now. *sniffs* I'll always remember Alan Silvestri's score when they were sliding down frozen tunnels on mattresses... I wonder if it was really Shigeru Miyamoto appearing at the end. It'd be great if it was. Maybe I'll check... [EDIT] No, he wasn't. Pity. But Lance Henriksen and Dan Castellaneta were! [/EDIT] Another thing I thought was strange was how Koopa had to bathe in... well, pink mud. It was all very strange.

Ha! He's in denial. Mind you, I doubt Dennis Hopper or Bob Hoskins (He's English! Would you believe it?) would want to be reminded of it, either. I loved the end title song. Almost Unreal. Great stuff. Snd the other one. I think it went something like: "Open the door, get on the floor! Everyone do the dinosaur!" Was she even Princess Toadstool for Super Mario World? I thought she was... something else. I certainly remember the first time I properly saw the pink princess as being Peach was Mario Kart 64. I wonder what was with that large woman in the red rubber dress who called Mario 'Boogy-buns'. She scared me.

I agree with Mitch about a Books forum. We have one for writing, why not for reading? At least it could be a sub-forum, maybe in Movies, Music and TV as they're used primarily for entertainment. I can't see why we'd need a Harry Potter forum. We haven't even had enough Star Wars threads to warrant a Star Wars forum. And like sage said, they aren't games or animes.

It would have been better animated. I loved the music, though. I was very annoyed I never got the soundtrack. If it weren't called 'Super Mario Bros', it probably would have been fine. Got to love those Police cars, though. I had the Mario and Luigi figures! They were pretty bad. I think they swapped Daisy and Peach's names round. After all, Daisy does sound better. The main thing that annoyed me (amongst everything else) was Yoshi. He should have been bigger, more cute (although he was pretty cute in the film) and done more. And I didn't like Luigi that much. Not John Leguizamo's best role...

It's the first one, I'm pretty sure of it. I'm not sure this kind of thread will stay up for long, though, unless this is where everyone poses questions about grammatical problems they've come across and want solved. Strictly speaking, I think it should be 'My lecturer and I had an arguement', but that's being pernickety. I never like having to correct grammar.

MetalArmadillomon crawled underneath a bush and curled up, thinking deeply. He knew he had to protect Aidan, but he couldn't face him again. The look of shock on his face burned into his memory. Sniffing loudly, he buried his head in his claws. A twig snapped. He jumped up and looked around. "Who's there?" he called. He could see a familiar shape moving towards him." "You're a little jumpy, aren't you? I wouldn't have thought anything scared you." renamon said through gritted teeth. "Renamon... What are you doing here?" he asked, in surprise. She sighed. "I've been told to bring you back, so here I am." She moved forwards to grab him, but he moved out of the way. "Why?" he demanded. "Why what?" she said irritably. "Why do they want me back?" "How should I know? You're... Aidan's digimon. You need to be with him." MetalArmadillomon smiled. "I know where he is. I'll go find him." She didn't return the gesture. "Yeah." she grunted, turning away. "Thanks, Renamon." he said quietly, crawling away into he bushes. She watched him leave and then disappeared into the darkness.

Anime Yu-Gi-Oh: Falsebound Kingdom GameCube pics
Solo Tremaine replied to Semjaza's topic in Otaku Central
I've no doubt the GC can pull that off- I just think they look like part of a cut-scene. They look rather cinematic and don't have any stats on them. Is that gold dragon a new character? I've not seen it before. Maybe they're mid-battle cutscenes. It looks like there's a whole team of monsters already up to face the big grey thing. -

I was right, then. There is a game. Phew. I read something in a magazine a few weeks ago about it, but was worried it weren't true. It looks very nice so far. I'm assuming those here are FMV shots rather than in-game shots, though. I'm just off to have a look at the others... The in-game graphics look really good too! Aw! Cute 3D baby dragon! Very nice indeed. This might well convert me to RPGs. -
I'm not sure if fencing can be counted as a martial art, but I've been doing that for the last seven years. I was interested in taking up a 'proper' martial art in order to help gain more focus when fencing, and also because I quite like the sound of it. A friend of mine does Akido, but I've never asked about it. Which would you guys reccomend as being the best to start on?

I can't wait to go. I did really like the first one, although Hermione really did annoy me with her over-emphasised mouth movements that they tell you to do in drama school. That happened in Hook, too. You wouldn't believe how much it gets up my nose. Anyway, I want to see Kenneth Branagh with Alan Rickman. Should be good. It'll probably only be for a second, but I like them both lots. Daniel Radcliffe plays Harry well, I think. well, he did in the first movie. I'm a sucker for things like that, though, and I often won't notice bad acting if I like the film. Dungeons and Dragons is a classic example of bad plot and acting. I didn't like the way Hagrid's character was played down a lot in Film one. There are loads of other things I didn't like so much, but I'll ramble to myself about them else we'll get off topic.

I find text with a background colour harder to read. I certainly woulnd't use it.

No Life begins at 3000 posts. I got confused when I saw Sara had it because I'd never seen it before.

Anime If you could have/make any Millenium Item, what would it be?
Solo Tremaine replied to MaceDavis's topic in Otaku Central
Pagasus had to shove it in. I've not seen how Bakura wears it. I hope he doesn't. I'd have the Millennium Puzzle, if only because that seems to have the most reasonable spirit inside it. -
It would be absolutely fantastic if they could do that. It almost makes me want to take up the card game now...

Does anyone know who that wolf-guy is underneath Darth Vader? It's been bothering me ever since I first joined. I think sticking to custom avatars is best. Then you can design your own unique one. It's more personal that way.

I have that problem too. I like jazz, anime music and film soundtracks and my mum likes them as well. She keeps asking me to make tapes of my CD collections. Hoi! Anyway, what's so bad about Elvis? I love Suspicious Minds. But, maybe something like Pink Floyd would upset her, if you really felt you had to do that. I don't see the point, personally. It's not like she deliberately plays the music to annoy you, is it?

Spaghetti Carbonara! I love Spaghetti Carbonara! The first pasta I ever had with sauce.

That's true- when you're that age you aren't actually thinking of sex at all, I don't think. So when you try on your mum's bra it's meant out of pure innocence- like Sere said, the mother wears it, thus the child copies. But I guess it can also be one of the dangers, because they don't understand how serious it can be trying to make themselves up and whatever. I doubt even at ten they'd be thinking about sex, and if they truss themselves up to go to a school disco in hot pants or whatever it's endangering them to things they never wanted. I'm not sure I've phrased that correctly, but hey. And going back to Lady A's point- most children pregnant at that age have to have Ceasearians (sp?), which causes no end of trouble if you're still growing. It can tear, stretch, scar and it leaves you in physical pain for a very long time afterwards. If it happens at that crucial age when she's just finishing growth the pain might never go away.
