actually, having tails does increase their strength. look at goku during the first tenkaichi boudaki (sp?) he was in, he got a lot stronger after his tail grew back. also vegeta says it when he is fighting goku during the saiya-jin saga.

sorry i haven't been on. i'm not really sure where i stand on the cloning issue. i do have some questions on whether the legal system is ready for it. think about it, what if a clone commited a crime where DNA was the only solid evidence? would both the original and the clone b sent to jail, knowing one of them was innocent, or would you take the 50/50 chance of getting the right one and sending them to jail? i don't like the idea of creating a clone for organ(or cell) harvesting, i know that the clone would have a conciousness and a soul all of its own.

i would be more concerned w/ wether or not they will give the stuff i like (anime, horses, etc., etc.) a fair chance b4 deciding if they like it or not.

my parents haven't screwed me up. they realize they have faults in their parenting skills, but have done their best to be better than their parents, and have asked me and my bro to b better parents than them. (i just hope i'm able to teach my future children [mayb] to have as open a mind as they have taught us) as for rules, i never had a curfew, they just wanted to be told where i was. my mom even let me taste alcohol before i was of age, this taught me 2 drink responsibly (it wasn't such a big deal for me to b legal). i haven't been :drunk: , i have gotten a little tipsy once. i hated the feeling so much, that i don't want to b that close to being :drunk: ever again.

right on Anna. although, in this case, we tried to get the taliban to hand over osama and they refused, saying they needed proof. now osama has bragged about his involvement in 9/11, and they still refuse, saying that america should just forget the attacks on the twin towers. i do not like the fact that there is a war going on that is claiming innocent lives, but i do not see any other action that is possible. a little history: our flag is not the only design that was considered. there was one design that had a rattlesnake on it, the motto would be, don't tread on me. the flaw in this design was that a rattle would b added for each new state, soon the US would b seen as all warning and nothing to back it up. the relevance: all the saber rattling done by different countries must b backed up with action. after we told the taliban that they must hand over osama or else, we must b prepared to back up the or else with action. otherwise we start to be seen as a pushover, and become an even better target for any other terrorists or tyrants that want to take potshots at us.

hey ~videl~, if anyone set off a nuke to harm any country, all other countries would be affected, whether directly or indirectly. as for the war pushing into any other country, i don't believe that the american leaders would recieve support from the people, let alone any other country. i also agree that we need to set up a new gov., but isn't that the point of the talks in....um....Berlin. on a side note, has any1 else seen the book [U]BECAUSE WE ARE AMERICANS[/U], i highly recommend it (tho i haven't finished it yet). it is a touching collection from the web of postings about 9/11. i keep having to stop bcuz i always end up :bawl: :bawl:

yeah, but you find peeps with the better-than-thou attitude everywhere, many times it depends on the dojang to correctly disipline their students. it has always been easy for me to remain humble, for one, at blackbelt, you are just beginning to really learn any martial art. the second reason, there's always someone out there that can defeat you. and lastly, if i try to pull off any 'tude, my parents would.....um......correct me (my dad's also 3rd dan) :naughty: besides being self-defense, it is an art form that is truely enjoyable to see done right. besides, not all schools follow the traditional ways of being more mature before being awarded a black belt.

i can't agree with the two of you more. any sport/activity is about the love of the game. when the fun stops, it's not worth all of the money in the world to continue.

i know how it feels to be judged against for no real reason at all. it's the reason i stopped playing soccer in middle school and basketball in high school. unfortunately, that's the way things are in this world all too often. :mad: myself, i respect the athletes who perform on their abilities alone more than i ever do those who take even 'legal' performance enhancers. i severely dislike those parents who push their kids too hard in anything, it seems to always end up being bad for their kids.
