the message of the poem is of a drug addict during his 'Last Minutes' hints "....Scythe and Black Robe..." as the Grim reaper, and "...Angel..." as heaven and "deviL" as hell. he's arguing with himself somewhat. I use "purple haze" as a drug reference (Although hendrix uses it as a reference to a dream he had of walking under water). "Joe" is the guys name. He's "...Tired...", well, he's dying. then death for Joe.

yeah I like jimi hendrix thats the references I use (Purple haze, hey Joe, freedom, angel). The poems I write are in free verse format, and are usually weirded out by words or meanings of certain lines. Free verse is just like writing a story to me. it's sloppy but I like it.

What do ya think? Selfish What do you want? power, money, honor, praise, the thought of superiority? Stop thinking about yourself. Think of them, their hunger, their sadness, their pain. You greedy fool! you know nothing of what I'm telling you, do you? You like getting things, invaluable things. But they know not of getting invaluable things, everything they want/need are the most valuable things ever. Water, food, shelter, family. How long will they live? Three days, four, a week, or even 24 hours? You don't know or care, do you. Stop asking for needless things, Start giving. Do you think of them, their suffering, sorrow, sickness? Do you even care?!:(

ok what do you think? Last Minutes SHUT UP! Stop talking, Lying, yelling, putting me down! Your 'Purple Haze' seems, soothing, calming, then again, antagonizing. Get it out of my head! Out, leave, stop saying that! 'Hey Joe', Watchya' doin'? I'm sorry for that stuff [censored down to the word "stuff"] What's wrong? Tired? Yeah, tired, Who's that little sucker[censored down to the word "sucker"], with the scythe and black robe. NO! Back demon, 'Freedom' is mine to hold! No, was, was yours to hold. Now your 'Freedom' belongs to satan. 'Angel'? No, spawn of the devil.

I find myself yelling at GTA3. It's not that it's hard it's that the missions try to confuse you and then you find a better way to do it 20 mins later.

ok my first free verse was 'hard times' (see hard times thread) and here's my second one. I don't like this one like I like the other one. this one was also for a school project. (school :demon: ) Fearful School School - a place to learn. Learn to be afraid, about values, the meaning of friendship, or to learn how to get going in life. For some, being frightened is the key, school shootings, stabbings, bullies, school lunch food. For others, the counsellor's office is home. Old unfaithful relationships. Unfaithful relationships? Yeah right, more like he/she likes her/him. More or less...... A crush. School is completely horrible, for certain people that is. Regular counselor visits, nurse visits, and fear of violence. For others, another day out of their lives, an exciting experience, or an boring waste of time.

I had an assignment in school to do a Poetry notebook. We had to have so many of one kind of poem and so many of another etc. This free verse is my first one. doubt it'll be good. Hard Times Life is full of agony, complete despair, misery, thoughts of inferiority. People pushing, shoving to go father in life than you. Agressive feelings, as if you have been hated, forgotten. The evil in people is unpredictable, one minute - kind, caring, then the next - unrelenting, brutal. Expect to feel a little suffering, immense sorrow, extreme fear, unbelievable hate from different people. Should you be terrified by life? Possibly so, life is as terrible as you make it.
