1. The avatar is decent, but looks a bit off from the banner. Maybe it's because the avatar on has the orange/white colours while the banner has a different mixture of colours. The banner is good, except the white spots seem to be too large... or something. They look a little out of place with their size, more-so with the middle white spot. The text of Boo is a little... off. Doesn't seem to fit it much, but you like it and that's what you want :animesmil . The grid makes the banner/avy more unique (at the moment) becuase I haven't seen it in a while. The colours of both the avatar and banner make it easier to go through and look at (especially at night when you're eyes are already a little blurry and hurting), rather than having hard/dark colours with the light background OB provides. Overall it's a great set, I'm not going to give a rating because, well, I never give ratings. :animesmil
2. Don't know if I need spoilers so I'll put it anyway. :D.
After the first ending song (So Long & Thanks for all the Fish), the guide entry on pointless comments is shown. If you've read the book it's where Arthur says something about his life and when Slartibartfast asks him what he said Arthur states 'Oh, nothing.'. Then we see the comment being taken into a time warp thing where it goes to a spot where two alien races are fighting. The two leaders are talking, when all of a sudden they fall silent. Then Arthur's comment drifts across the table and is heard by the two. In their native tounges his comment is an insult (or something, don't remember), so the two fight for a long time, then they find out the comment came from earth so the two join up and go after earth. After alot of traveling they reach earth, and they've miscalculated the size of themselves and are eaten by a small dog. In the movie, the comment is when Arthur says something about his towel. And the two aliens race directly toward earth instead of fighting each other for a while. And that's all that was in the credits.
I think that should cover it. If I missed something or said something incorrectly I'm sure someone will correct me. :)
3. I just got home from the movie. I thought it was excellent (with the exception of the omittions of most of the jokes I loved and information you'd need to fully understand things). The addition of the new things/people/situations were great, with the exception of why the mice where played by children, didn't really understand that. I loved how the Guide was organized and how it was made to look. The graphics of this movie where better than I had imagined and the Jim Henson animatronics. The Vogons looked realistic enough to actually believe it was actually there talking to the actors. Another thing I like is the 'cameo' like appearances in the movie. (Don't know whether to add spoiler tags so I'll do it anyway).
I liked how they used the original Marvin robot in the scene where Arthur, Zaphod and Ford where going to rescue Trillian from the Vogons. I thought it was the original, but I had doubts until the ending credits when they credited the use of it. I also like how they used the original Arthur actor (Simon Jones) as the Ghostly Voice who greats the crew as they arrive on Magrathea and tells them the missles are being launched at them.
These little things make me happy. Reading the books and/or seeing the series and/or listening to the radio show helps alot when watching this movie, but overall I'd see the movie over and over again. I give it a 5 out of 5. *thumbs up*
4. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie tomorrow (not opening day like others because I hate opening days because of the crowds). The movie and the book won't be exactly the same but what can you expect when Hollywood gets their hands on a good book? I know alot of people who went today though, and they also had their towels, you gotta have your towel where ever you go you know, and I'd have been with my towel also but, stated before, I don't do opening days lol. With some of the things they left out, I don't think this movie will be as good as I thought I would have been, but I'll have to judge that when I see it. I re-read the first two books (HHGG, The Retaurant at the End of the Universe) last week to refresh my memory on everything. Can't really say anything else at the moment. Probably will reply/edit when I see the movie.
5. As of right now I am a Junior in high school. First off, the kids in my school are, for the most part, ignorant/immature or too wrapped up in social groups that they can't find anything better to do than group others up and poke fun at them. There are basically 3 groups at school (I can see what they mean, but I'm one who hasn't relied on labels since my freshman year), the gangsters/wanna-be gangsters, alternative/goth and everyone else. There really aren't any nerd groups or anything like that, everyone just hangs out together. At my school, the only people who really seem to mess with others are the prep-like girls (usually cheerleaders and whatnot). Don't get me wrong, there are still others that make fun of someone different than them, but the majority are those kind of people. People are too high strung in HS, they get extremely upset over the littlest things which I can never see getting upset over. The smokers are just smokers, no one really cares if they smoke or not (w/the exception of the school of course); they just go to the restroom and smoke. Overall I find my High School to be a rather fun place. The people are interesting and the fights and arguments are the things that keep you going after a half a day at school (because they're so stupid you just have to laugh and be in a good mood). The teachers, on the other hand, are a different story, but I won't get into that.
6. Slipknot and Mudvayne were fantastic masked bands. Slipknot is still making awsome music (although I did disagree with their choices of what to do on Vol.3), but Mudvayne is no longer masked, they've lost the makeup and have changed their names, but Mudvayne is also still making awsome music. Mudvayne has certainly mellowed out in a way since L.D. 50, but I like the newer stuff alot better than the older, although I do enjoy listening to them at times. Overall, Slipknot's mainstream appeal and sound has put them over the top. I'll go with Slipknot.

Mnemic Sig

Oops, forgot this was here. lol. Ah, here we go.
It's brighter than the other frames, I assume it was done intentionally to make it stand out. I suppose that wouldn't be a problem, if the headphones matched the scheme of the blood-stained blade.
It wasn't really intentional, I just got lazy and used the normal album cover for the middle cell. I was planning on something else but was tired so I didn't.
The way you have used the cells is refreshing, and the way the blood-stained blades and the text are situated make the banner quite a nice piece of artwork. Well done.[/size']
Thanks. :animesmil Be back later to check up on this thread again, and possibly with another image. Thanks for the feedback. More is welcome. VICTORY FOR ZIM!!... i mean... NOMAD!!
8. Heh, haven't been here in a while. Ah well. The other day I finally got Photoshop (don't keep up to date w/the versions so I'll bet it's an older one), and this is the 1st thing that I've seen that is semi-good. Mnemic is a band. An awsome band. C&C Appreciated.
9. Here are a few covers that I've liked (and that's it, others not worth listing/already listed): Word Up: Korn/Cameo - This has already been said, but I did enjoy this one so I decided to include it. I rather dislike Cameo's original. Another Brick in the Wall (Parts 1, 2 & 3 {along w/Goodbye Cruel World}): Korn/Pink Floyd - This is one of my favorite covers. I think Korn did a great job with this song(s) and I've listened to it non-stop during periods of Korn listening time. One: Korn/Metallica - (seems to be a pattern...) This is a good cover of Metallica's "One". People Are Strange: Twiztid/The Doors - I love this cover of The Doors' "People Are Strange". Other than the changing of a couple words, it's the same. Joker: Twiztid/Steve Miller Band - :D , "Joker" is a awsome song. Wild Boys: Mnemic/Duran Duran - Mnemic does a awsome metal-type version of this song. then there's the worst cover I've ever heard, Avril Lavigne doing Metallica's "Fuel".... bleh...
10. 5.) Zakk Wylde 4.) Randy Rhoads 3.) Jimi Hendrix 2.) Stevie Ray Vaughan 1.) "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott Can't really organize them any better than that. Wylde and Rhoads both played for Sabbath and both were awsome but I choose Rhoads over Wylde. Hendrix is awsome, the way he learned the play, and the way he did play. Vaughan is one of the best I've heard. His guitar playing combined with his voice and his lyrics is an awsome compilation of blues music. Dimebag because... well he's Dimebag. RIP. Others came close to being on the list but these are the top 5 I have.

Icp

1st off, that post was horrible... 2nd, unfortunately, every ICP post I have ever seen on any forum has never gone well, and I expect that this one will go the same way, so I ask that this be close to avoid the obvious flaming that will come from this thread. I personally enjoy ICP and everyone on their label. No real reason, I just like it.
12. I haven't cried since I was a baby. I find no comfort in crying. I haven't cried when I've hurt myself, someone has done something to me, and never during a happy occasion. Actually, I never really smile during happy occasions... I'm not the first person to come to to see emotions. Depression usually makes me feel the urge to cry, but it never happens. I prefer to bottle all my emotions up inside so one day they will springboard out of control and destroy everything around me..... :animestun
13. Johnny the Homicidal Maniac fanart :D. An Admirer of Sorts, Johnny Here's a picture I drew during Spanish and Art classes. It's from the "An Admirer of Sorts" in Issue 7, the one where NNY meets Jimmy. I drew it in pen during Spanish class (when I was supposed to be finishing another project) and during Art (where, oddly enough, I was finishing yet another project, heh). I don't have a scanner so I have to use a digital camera to upload so the colour is a bit disoreinted, and the light seems to have projected a shadow over a part of the image. Ah well. This is the best I have until I can get a scanner. Drew Johnny and window outline during Spanish. Drew background and finished colouring and shading in Art class. Total time: About and hour.
14. Here you go. Didn't know if you wanted your name on it or not, seeing as how you specified neither choice heh, so I put it on both.
15. Rammstein is good. Nice subtle title by the way. :wigout: . I have all of their cds, which doesn't really matter. I did not get into them by hearing Du Hast like the majority of the American population had. I started to listen to them my freshman year in high school. Their type of music isn't something you'd find me listening to in American music, the industrial-rock genre. They're best cd to date is Reise, Reise. I don't care what anyone else says. They've changed (slightly) from their first album for the better (not a GIGANTIC change, but rather a subtle one). Songs like Amerika, Moskau, Keine Lust and Ohne Dich are what make this cd great (Amerika is one of the funniest song I've heard in a while, although it isn't supposed to be as funny as I find it to be). The Russian pop mixed with the German rock is a awsome combonation in the song Moskau. The TATU sound never really made me like the Russian pop, but the singer in Moskau is not TATU like alot of the people who've heard the song believe, it is Viktoria Fersh. Never really that that song would be among the top 3 of that cd, heh.
16. Right now I am only able to speak one language. And that is English. For the simple fact that I was born in America to an English speaking family and have been around English speaking people for most of my life. But I've been wanting to take German soooo badly this past year. I just really have the urge to learn it. Before I used to want to learn Japanese. It was easy at first with parts of sentence development and a few of the basic words & rules. Then it got hard. Then I realized if I learn to speak it, then to complete it, I'd have to learn the Kanji writing and whatnot. I just thought it too much trouble to do without proper teaching. A language that I've been accustomed to, besides that of English, is Spanish. I've been taking Spanish since the 5th/6th grade. I took it all the way through middle school, and I'm currently in 3rd year Spanish in high school as a junior. I think of myself as partially able to speak the language. I can read (pronounce) almost perfectly, and I can usually understand what someone says by context. The only thing I have trouble with is tenses and conjugation of the verbs, especially the irregular verbs ( :flaming: ). But, I like learning more and more from this language rather than switching to first year French. But as I've said before, I really want to learn German. I know a few phrases, and a few.... rude? phrases. I know some other random words, and I also know some lines from songs and what they mean (like "weh mir, oh weh..und die Vögel singen nicht mehr"). I like not being tied down by one language, especially when you already don't speak that one language well enough for people to understand you lol. Knowing other languages also means that I'll have a better chance of having a better career when I get older. Ah well. We'll just have to see if I can take some independant/private courses after school or something. :D
17. I really honestly wouldn't like to meet anyone in real life. It's nothing against anyone. Anyone/everyone that I actually talk to already knows me enough to be friends. Meeting me would just make knowing me stale. heh. I doubt anyone would want to meet me anyway, heh, I'm the one who stays behind the computer and you find on AIM/MSN/Yahoo! at midnight making mediocre banners/wallpapers lol. But if I had to choose someone/some people to actually meet, I'd probably choose.. I dunno really lol. I only have a few people that I'd like to meet. No real reason. Just like to meet them to see what they're like, rather than guessing through posts and pointless AIM/MSN conversations. :D
18. This is a wallpaper I made with the lyrics to "Ohne Dich" from Rammstein's album Reise, Reise. I used the German lyrics on top of the English lyrics to see what it'd look like and I like the result. I like how the whole thing turned out, but the font is a bit hard to read if you haven't read it before. Ohne Dich Leave comments here and/or there. All comments appreciated.

Bobby's World!!

Underwater fish don't stink! lol, ok. Just had to do that. I loved that show. I haven't seen that in.... wow, don't remember the last time I saw it. I can't remember alot from the show. I'd know the characters if I saw/heard them. It was one of those shows I loved that suddenly just stopped airing. Oh well.
20. Sorry for the delay. When I last posted I started to work, then about a third of the way through I realized that if I had finished it, it would just be crap thrown together. So I scrapped the project for the time being. Then, with Christmas and all, I forgot about it until now. So here you go. :D Avatar: Banner:
21. Wow. Everyone getting alot of stuff that's worth alot.... or something lol. My family has been having money troubles so this Christmas wasn't anything too special, but I still enjoyed being with my family. I can understand and help with the problems my parents have. Anyways, I got; -The original Halo (X-Box, not PC) finally, :D -The three Halo book set (The Fall of Reach, The Flood & First Strike), I'm only on the first one, about 4th chapter, but it's really enjoyable. -Donkey Kong Country 2 (Woohoo! Old school! lol) -CD, Jay-Z & Linkin Park Collision Course (very cool CD, especially since it came with a DVD that had the original "MTV Mash-ups" concert on it. What my bro got that he shares with me; -TV Games (you know, those games with the old school joystick and button [Atari-esque] w/ Pac-Man, Galaxian, Dig-Dug etc. on it. It's very fun lol) -Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood (much better than the first) -The Urbz: Sims in the City (also very fun) That's about it, besides the candy Santa's and whatnot we ate in like 10 minutes :D . I enjoyed this year's Christmas.
22. *raises hand* I'll try. I'll be back later with it.
23. Very funny indeed. Stunt doubles are great  . Only disturbing thing was the amount of nakedness lol. But, meh, funny all around. I think these type of things that you make would look good as a flash, but that's just me. *thumbs up*
24. Best? Hmmm... Jimi Hendrix/Stevie Ray Vaughn by far (to me). Them both because SRV's sound is mainly influenced by Hendrix. Hendrix, however he may have written his songs (drugs, etc.), is the greatest. There's no arguement for that. There are a couple others that I also find great. Pink Floyd being the dominant one that comes to mind. If you want to talk about a person/band that's still alive/exists, then I'd have to say...hmmm.... dunno. There's a few that I can see as great. One example being Joey Jordison (Slipknot; Drummer).
25. I live in the USA, in Indianapolis, Indiana. It's freezing here, at least it feels like it. It's been snowing really hard the past few hours. The high tomorrow is supposed to be like... 10 I think and the low at like -7. *grabs heater*
