2. It's normal to be depressed. And it hurts to change...and to quote a horrible band "Well I guess this is growing up". Tahaha. Im going to get flamed for that. No, the world would not be the same without you because if you haven't changed someone directly, it was probably indirectly. I think the purpose in life is to find a purpose in life. =)
  3.
Originally posted by DarkOrderKnight I wear what I wear because it represents my state of mind.
That's pretty good actually.
Originally posted by DarkOrderKnight The people that dress prepy and wear 80 dollar t-shirts dress that way because they believe that more expensive is better. That is their state of mind. The people that wear normal stuff wear that because their state of mind is normal. And the people that wear tiny tiny tubetops that, when taken off, are about the size of a rubber band wear that because their state of mind is that looks get you things.
What a bunch of generalizations, but I think sometimes people that dress 'preppy' do it because they can afford it. Maybe people that wear 'normal' stuff do it to deceive others into thinking they're normal.
Originally posted by DarkOrderKnight Why shouldn't I dress how I think?
Rhetoric. =) But I'll answer it anyway: Go for it.
  4.
Originally posted by DarkOrderKnight You really think so? I am different because I choose to be. My outlook is different than most, my state of mind is different than most... Why should I not be different than most? I parade my differences.
Yeah, I really think so. Take doing something you might love to do for example. Skating. Then skating gets popular and some people drop it because everyone else seems to be doing it. How can people drop something they love just because it's popular, then pick up something that they might even hate just to be different. In that sense, it's stupid. I'm not saying you shouldn't be different than most, but that it's ok to not be (out of your own free will) when the circumstances are correct.
  5. I see nothing wrong with being different but some people take it overboard. Trying to be different just to be different is stupid. And conformity is alright sometimes. When I was younger I'd dress up in wacky ways because I wanted to, and now that I look back at it, it was just ridiculous. Yeah, that was me. Green hair, baggy jeans, cartoon/band shirt. I grew out of it and found that the only way you really can be different, is by actually thinking. There is a form of power in the way people dress. People will assume and pidgeonhole. So by dressing differently you can change what people think about you. [off topic]Don't think that shopping at Hot Topic makes you any different than people that shop at the Gap either. 75 bucks for ripped jeans? Ha. Yeah, you must be really punk.[/off topic] And while we're talking about clothes, I think public schools should allow freedom of expression when it comes to what is written and drawn on clothing because it provokes thought. And I don't mean that they should allow people to wear pictures of naked women on their shirts, use your head. I mean that a couple of curse words here and there shouldn't not be permissible, so it goes for freedom of speech also. But even that we don't have absolute.
Originally posted by Aries: What do you think about this issue, and do you follow style?
I follow the drumbeat to my own song. I usually buy my clothes from thrift stores. I don't get why people dislike second hand. Eww it's dirty. Then wash it, idiot. And most of the clothes at second hand stores are donated by first hand stores. People that refuse to buy something from a store, or go into/near it just because the majority of consumers are [insert stereotype here] are stupid. That's almost like being racist. Oh, and my mom nags me all the time about the way I dress. I guess because not wearing skirts automatically makes you boyish. Sucks that when a female participates in a male dominated sport or the like, she becomes tomboyish. I hear that being independent for females makes them tomboys also. Maybe it's a myth...

    Reading
Originally posted by Cera Ender's Game was fantastic. I just recently read Ender's Shadow...Tis about Bean, it's a companion book, more than a sequel. And I'm gonna throw this out there again....Has anyone read the Ishmael saga, by Daniel Quinn? It includes Ishmael, My Ishmael, and The Story of B.
Hell yeah. Ender's Game! There's gonna be a new book coming out on August 19 as a sequel to the Bean series. I've just bought The Ultimate HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy for 17 bucks at Waldens. I've heard good things about it. I've also just completed 1984 by Orwell. Lady M was right. When I finished I wanted to throw it against the wall. Still good reading though. There are so many books I'd like to read: Everything you know is wrong Stupid White Men Dune The Electric kool aid acid test etc

    Glasses

i wear glasses. some idiots call them "emo" glasses, like the ones Rivers from Weezer wears. im pretty sure they were (and still are) called Buddy Holly glasses. nothings too bad about getting glasses...just get some frames you like or something...or contacts you like...
  11. I like to be ignored/shunned/disliked. Seriously, I used to like insulting other's intelligence and stepping on their ignorance but I've pretty much given up on the former because of my duties...*shrug* And it's nice to know that Im not the only colorful flower in a field of black and white apathetic weeds.
  12. I really wouldn't pick any. a. My life does not revolve around television/anime, so I wouldnt mind. b. Some people are standable, and what about people you have yet to meet? They could be really cool. c. right.... So I guess If I had to: A or C
  13.
Originally posted by Sephiroth: if someone isn't gay, then they're not going to try anything with them, and by that I mean flirt, or ask them out, whatever...
word. down with the gay-people-will-hit-on-anyone-even-if-they're-straight mentality. seriously, people need to realize gay people are people too. they're not like sex crazed rabbits; humping/hitting on anyone. As for your principal's blatant display of idiocy: I bite my thumb at you, sir. What a sexist, pompous ***. I don't like how females can wear pants, baggy shirts, and 'guy' clothes yet aren't viewed as eccentric, like when guy's wear dresses, make up, skirts, or high heels.
  14. Actually that's quite interesting. I just read something like that called Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity by Bruce Bagemihl. "Bagemihl deflates the notion that most homosexual behavior is actually just a form of establishing social dominance. He points out, among other things, that such behavior is sometimes mutually reciprocal, and that it is often the subordinates in the heirarchy who mount their superiors." "Orangutans have been known to engage in heterosexual anal sex, and cattle egrets have threesomes." "It's also fascinating to note that two memebrs of some species (such as flamingos, penguins, and red squirrels) sometimes form committed same-sex relationships-lasting years or even a lifetime-that involve sex, traveling and living together, and raising young together." Really interesting...go read it.

  16. Which Link? I take it you mean the Link from OoT and MM? Well...it's never said, but I think maybe his father is the king of Hyrule and Zelda is his sister...=P. You pretty much have to come up with your own theories.
  17. EnderCon is going to be July 5-6 in Orem, Utah! *sobs* Nothing good ever comes to Hawaii. We have small anime 'gatherings' but I don't know where and when so I can't attend them. If I were to go to an Anime Convention I'd be Chun Li.

  23. I was in a mock trial before. I forgot what it was about though. I didn't want to participate, so the teacher pulled out the fickle finger of fate on our attendance sheet and I was 'volunteered'. I was the typist and I gave an unethical middle finger to my friend snickering in the back.:whoops: Sometimes I think by hoping you're not picked, you're hoping you are.

    Mirror Link

Always equip your shield, and never let him hit you (not your shield). If he does he'll copy your moves. I wouldn't charge my sword because it takes too much time and it leaves you vulnerable. Try using quick jabs with the master sword, or hits with the megaton hammer. If that fails stock up on fairies or potions, and go on a kamikaze mission. Hit him, again, and again...without stopping. Sometimes he gets kinda slow so you can salvage a couple of complete hits. Notice that when you get hit he loses points also. Oh, and when he comes back don't waste anytime: go straight for him.
