Also you might want to try a geodude or graveler, If you get lucky when gengar uses hypnosis it probably wont fall asleep If you stay awake use magnitude and hope you get magnitude 10 which will KO the gengar.

I've beaten halo and splinter cell, halo took me a while though I was stuck on the last part for 3 weeks. Splinter cell only took me 5 days but I was playing it night and day without stop.

The Dub names arent all THAT bad. The thing is (I though about it it made sence to me) weve heard these names called in the non-dubed version and were used to them thats why we hate the dub names and after a while we get used to them too and like them. (This is just my opinion so if you dont agree well then dont be mad)
