hey, don't give up, my brother (love comic party!). critiscism can be very hard to take but it's always good. Whatever was to be said about your drawings already was. So, just to give you some renewal of spirit and to boost your inspiration and desire to draw here goes one of my first and one of my last just for you to see how much can a person improve if one's heart is really into it - of course I'm not saying that I'm a professional, but you can see the difference ;) Here it goes: http://www.otakuboards.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=20535

here is another drawing: Hope you guys liked it. It's a character for a story I'm developing, wich is gonna be medieval and at the same time, futuristic. The first character is the princess of the story around whom the story will occur, and the second one is an archerand I can't tell anything else about him otherwise I would spoil the story.

Anime Any anime characters you pity, worship, or fear?
youta moteuchi replied to Dreamer's topic in Otaku Central
That's an interesting topic, I should say: Worship (kinda extreme, but I really like them!): - The crew from bebop.............. they are just amaaaazing!!!! Their interactions and the outcome of those are one of the things that is so great about the series. It's almost like their fate was to meet and change one another's lives. They are just too life-like, when I think about them, I feel like I'm remebering a bunch of friend from high school........ Fear: - Lain, maybe....... she's kinda scary! The whole series was kinda scary, hehe. Pity: - Tetsuo from Akira............... for obvious reasons. It just wasnt his fault he was so messed up! -
I would stalk (if I was an anime character on a nation with no laws agaisnt stalking, and where people thought it was fun....): REI AYANAMI!!!! Just because with the luck I have I'd ocasionally bump unto her (literally!) and then we would realize that she doesn't have to fulfill her role on EVA and that we can just elope before the last angel attack, just to find love in the arms of one another..... Yes! That would do it, and Yes! we would live happy ever after.....

I'm a donut speciallist working at Dunkin' Donuts, hehe My fave is the chocolate cruller (or stick, deppending on were you live) with the borders real crispy and moist in the inside.... *gazes away for an eternity* Well, not only that but I can tell you what are the fav of most of my customers on the Mlden area (Boston....) For grown ups: coconut donut, for kids: chocolate frosted, for chinese and other oriental nationalities: french cruller (it's not a cohincidence!!! it was proved by my long year of experience!!!!, latino customers: glazed! I could go like this forever (not really!). Well let's not talk about work... See you guys later, then.

I'd say that's it's either Jin-roh or The end of Evangelion, even though they are kinda disturbbing.... The psychological state of the characters were well portraited and that's very important in a movie for me. The use of symbology is also very effective in a way that you learn more from one scene than just the action or the dialog allows you to.... For the same reasons I also like Metropolis, Grave of the fireflies and X.

way off.... hehe Here you go: What's is BIG, GREEN, lives underground and eats stones?? Give it a try, if you guess.......... you are really smart, hehe. Or maybe, real dumb.... I guess that's not a riddle to prove how smart you are, but how stupid you can really be, hehe............ Ops! I'm saying too much.... BYBYE!!!

It's been a while and you probably already forgot about this thread, but, anyways, here you go. I hope Quad doesn't mind that I gave it a try too.....

would that be "plus"? In Chemistry it is related to the atraction of ions, more expecifically to the positive ones and I believe most of the rock'n'roll songs were writen on a mayor chord (is that the right word for it? i didn't study music in english so I just know the names in portuguese... hehe *giggles embarassed*) Did I get it right? * bites his nails axiously*

just kidding, hehe I also use Photoshop 7.0 - it's reeeeeally good. I like your banner a lot - it's much better than mine I should say - and I love the way Mireille - Mileyu or whatever her name is - almost that moves in it. Great job. Or should I say: GR-R-E-AH-T JOH-B!!! (that's my brazilian accent, hehe) See ya...............................

youta moteuchi replied to Balinese's topic in Otaku Central
A friend of mine once called me Youta - THE youta Moteuchi from Video Girl Ai. It kinda hurt, since I liked her at the time..... But he's a nice guy - and I got to confess: I'm just like him when it comes to girls. I guess I'm lugky now I have a girlfriend, hehe. -
Does Experimentation make you Bi or Gay?
youta moteuchi replied to k9-Girl's topic in General Discussion
acttually, I think that you are bi or not deppending on what comes AFTER the experimentation..... For example, is a guy has an intercorse with another one, but doesn't like it, or realizes that's not what he wants, then I think he's not gay.... it could be though, that if he tryes time after another he WANTS to be gay, hehe. But what happens is that feelings like frenship, or even admiration can make you think like you are sexually atrcted to someone, when you are not, actually. And if an experimantation comes from it, it doesn't mean you "switche sides" or whatever... well, that's just my opinion and you are not to agree with it if you don't.... (was it redundant?) -
here, do you want me to make some more with mireyu or with the new picture you posted (wich I think it's really vute, hehe)? I've feeling that you want more Mileyu, I'm just not shure, hehe.

hey, there! hope you liked it! I always thought she was soooooooooooo cute! I just HAd to do this set for you, hehe If you need me to change anything just let me know, kay?

Anime Otakon 2004, Anime Weekend Atlanta 2004 & other conventions
youta moteuchi replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
This year I was lucky enough not only to go to my first anime convention, but also to get a space a its Artist's Alley. It was AnimeBoston2004. It was fun, kinda tirying, though.... I spent twelve hour drawing commisions on the first day and fourteen on the following... By sunday - the last day of the convention - i was so tired that I didn't even touch my pencils, just hung around with some friends I made over there. I'd like to know if anybody here at OB had a chance to go to this same convention or plans to go to AnimeBoston next year? And if you did, and went to Artist's Alley: do you remember a guy that was sitting at the corner of the room, surrounded by colored pencils and paper? Yeah, that was me! hehe I can't wait for the convention next year!!!! -
hey, i finnally had achance to finish the picture I lod you about. I tryed some new effects onthe fabric I hope you liked it.Like I already told ya, I inspired on your drawing to make that one.... I already suspected you were a guy from the anime titles you liked, Ijust wasnt shure, hehe. Hope you didnt mind me asking. Sepuku is the samurai ritual when a samurai kills himself to preserve his honor (if you get the chance watch "the Last Samurai", It's good!). I'm too sleepy to find the right words to explain it more precisely - as you sispected I'm brazilian, hehe I really hope you like the pictures.

I remeber a couple of moments, I guess... A long, long time ago when I was at fith grade I had a "girlfriend". One day we decided to frech kiss. As I had my retainer in my mouth I had to remove it first. She saw it and was like EWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! And started laughing. That was a girlfriend I never kissed because whenever I tryed to she would start to laugh. Another ocasion was when I was gonna ask a cuntomer how he wanted his coffee, if with cream and sugar and isntead I said: " Do you want cream cheese with your coffee............... When I came to the USA, my english sucked, and summed to that I used to get real nervous when I had to say anything, even if it was just "good morning!" One day, comming back from work with my dad we stopped at a red light. A womam from a car right beside ours said what I thought was: " Do you know where the GoodTime is?" I said:"No, sorry. We are new here." She kept asking me and I kept aswering the same thing. My father was trying to say something but I was to nervous to let him speak. After the light turned green and we turned where we had to turn he said: "She was just asking what time was it?!!!!!" One of my friends at the coffe shop doen't speak much enlgish still. She has the habit of always repplying to the customers with "You too!. (i.e.: " Have a nice day!" "You too!" One day a customer turned to her: "You guys are reall fast!" And she went: "you too". I still joke with her about that...... there are sooooo many more. I'll save them for later, though....

You know you're easily amused when. . .
youta moteuchi replied to kenshinsbabe's topic in General Discussion
1 - You lock yourself and your younger sister in the closet with a thiny flash light and pretend to be in a Indiana Jones Movie (even though you can hardly breathe so tight it is...... 2 - You drown flies in the bathroom just to try to ressurect them seconds later with the top of your finger and a towel... 3 - You mix all the medicines in the bathroom closet just to see what color it is gonna be, and then, for no reason apply it on your hair, problably just to see if it's gonna get darker......... 4 - Use black paint (water based) to darken your hair and leave to school. It's even more exciting when you forget you have a PE class on that day. 5 - You laught every time your sister is in the adjacent room trying to learn how to play saxophone and produces that high squeeeky sound - wich happens very often.... 6 - When you ask the customers in the coffee shop where you work if it is still raing just for the heck of it... 7 - You walk like Ace ventura with your best friend on the main road of your city... 8 - While drinking soda you leave a little in your mouth and then walk away pretending to be vomiting.... I guess that's it... I mean there'is more, but that's about all I can remember right now. Just letting you guys now, I did all the above ited things, hehe. -
I know it's not perfect.... -it's quite far from being perfect, I guess. But I hope you will like it. I tried to use the original, but when you do shadowing over colored pencils on photoshop it just looks terrible, that's why I had to redo the picture on top of yours. hope you liked it. I'm also gonna send later a picture that I made based on your drawing (if I just didnt have to do a poster for the dunkin' donuts I work into....)

Love Hina is a great manga! Great comedy! X is a very good apocalyptical (did I mispell it?) manga and Mars very good drama. When it come to series you shoul definitelly watch Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou, Kare Kano for short; Chobits and FLCL. Even though they do not fit completely in the categories you mentioned you should definetly watch Noir and the gerat classic Cowboy bebop.

Well, it happens with every artist and just like it happened with the guy from Oh! My goddess! it happened with Ken Akamatsu. The art is inferior, even thoug it is still hillarious! It's good, I just would like it better if it didn't sound so much like Video Girl Ai, wich I love.... the whole idea of an Ai coming out of a computer has been used already.... But well, you know Ken, he can make a great manga out of this... and he does. So, if you liked Love Hina you should probably read that one.

Manga Does Shoujo appeal to male audiences?
youta moteuchi replied to Okita's topic in Otaku Central
Even though I'm a man (or young man, boy -whtever - I'm not a girl that's for sure) I love to read shoujo like INVU or Peach girl - And I specially like Mars. Even though Mars and Peach girl can be a little too psycho sometimes, I like to read them to relax, have some laughts think a little or get inspired. Unlike the occasions when I go and read (or watch) stuff liken Evangelion, Raxephon or Ghost in the Shell (wich can be very tiring due to it's detailed information on computers). I almost forgot to mention that I LOVE Karekano, even though the art isn't thaaaaaat great... So, what I'm trying to say is that I like shoujo a lot - but I also wanna say: isn't i much better when the story almost doen't belong to an especific genre, almos belonging to them all? I'm working on a story that has lots of romance, cute looking guys and girls and at the same time has swords, treson and death envolved. Shonen, yeah I know, but there are going to be episodes almost like in a shoujo - due the great influence they have on me. Well, I think that's it for now hehe. -
Art Rate the Sig and avatar of the member above you.
youta moteuchi replied to Burori's topic in Creative Works
I really like the avatar: first of all because I lova mimiru, and also because of the colors that are very well put. I just think that it is a little blurry, but just a very little bit.... I love sig even more. It'd be better if the capitals of the font you choose weren't sooo detailed - what makes the word SIGN a little weird. But the pictures are crispy, well chosen and the sig itself has a very defined mood to it. Makes me want to watch those guys go and kick some a--, what I probably will do soon., hehe That's all, I really liked it. I'm trying a new sig an avi just to see what people think. Once again, the characters are mine. -
here is a buch of avatars I made from pictures from my characters....
