I use photoshop. that's the only thing I've been since I started to cg XD And yes, rhys, I am obssessed with drawing Aurora 8D. It's an addiction.

I didn't like her face that much because it is, as usual, distorted XD I tried the self-shadow thing, and I did the best i could to scan every corner and see if I should put shadow in it. It looked okay up till the point when I started to shade the leaves. I don't know how to shade leaves, so i use a brush and tried to make it look bushy. Now it looks like a green sand puddle with glowing things in it. A friend suggested that I could do a dead tree if I don't want to draw leaves. I think I am gonna redo the background and make it into a dead tree instead, cus the leaves are really annoying me. And the picture is kinda pointless and has no interesting objects in it. I am not good with details ._. *drools upon magnificent background-ed pictures with lots of details and small decorative things*

how should a picture be properly shaded? what do you ppl do? o_o do you use a brush completely or cel-shade it first, then use smooth brushes to smooth out the necessary edges? cus I am not sure if I am doing the right thing, given that after so many tries I cannot shade like anime artists do.

i liked how you drew the positions and hands and stuff, even though it looks a little weird. The person is okay, considering that it's a sketch XD but the violin looks messed up. Maybe I am just too much of a violin freak. Great job :D I want to draw like you do ^.^

XD I hope I can fix the ear; but after staring at it for too long, it doesn't look that wrong to me o_o.

I dun really know that much about what I should look for in pictures, but I like the way you shade :D I like how you did his muscles and shaded her clothes. His scar looks a bit fake tho, and it looks like he is scratchign his *** XD How do you shade clothes? I need to learn. and. um. is that hand drawn or cg?

I dunno how to fix the hair now... it didn't look much better =/ and the feet.. it happened b4 in almost the same post. I think I should fix it too. And the sword.... I think I should start using the line too instead of free hand to make it less wobbly and rubber like XD;; Then the handle. I don't know why I don't like long handles, but I will try that too. maybe it would look better. And I will try to make the left-eye less opaque, maybe that would help making it less weird? thanks for all suggestions :D

I like designing ancient stuff, but her costume was skrewed and it took me a while to give her a cloak XD;; And the sword was the one that most ppl liked. and I don't know how to shade metals ._. Actually, I just don't know how to shade. Even after help, it still looks like leather. now I think it is because I actually used light shades. In normal anime shadings, ppl seldom use lighter shades, at least those I've seen. But when I realized that it was already half done, so I went on. Then I had to rush to finish it because I had to go back to school, and I didn't want to wait till after 9, so I rushed it. I will fix the hair after wards. And the extremely uncreative background. My lineart grew thinner, and now it's too thin and light. anyways. any kinds of feedbacks=welcomed.

yay, okie then. I will use the left one. and i didnt' find it in the knife booth in the mall, so I guess it was .. original? or psychic transfered into my brain or something o_o

The on on the right was from a while back, the one on the left was from saturday, inspired when I saw some strange reflection on the lamp.. glass.. o_o 9_9;;. I think I must have saw the design of the shape of the blade somewhere b4 tho; not in an anime, not in lotr or other movies. I guess it was at a knife-stall display or something. Personally I liked the one on the left better as it seems smoother, lighter, easier to control, and its blade has more cutting edges. In all, more battle-friendly. ... or something like that o_o. opinions?

it's nice for a first time XD you should really see what my first one looks like è_é;;.. but I have suggestions: For the lineart, it's quite thick; there is a way to scan in lineart and treat it in photoshop so it doesn't look coarse and thick, like big blobs of inc. For the hair, you will find that if you don't do too much details in the lineart, you can actually make it look really nice by shading. As someone has said earlier, it is a bit dark XD;; but I think it's great; me picking on you doesn't mean it's bad lol. keep it up 8D
