  1. [color=deeppink]I have two bank cards (only one works, but due to weird circumstances I never remember which one), my student ID, my driver's liscense, and a somewhat smudged membership card to the now-defunct official Jason David Frank fan club.[/color]
  2. [color=deeppink]Anime has taught me that the Japanese are weird.[/color]
  3. [color=deeppink]Finals week is a really poor time to run out of medication for my acid reflux. It's also a poor time for my headaches to act up.[/color]
  4. [quote name='ChibiHorsewoman'][color=#9933ff][font=monotype corsiva][size=4] Does anyone know if Spam is kosher?[/color][/font][/size][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]I doubt it, considering it's ham and pork shoulder. Spam Turkey might be okay. Can't seem to find an ingredient list.[/color] [quote name='Botar']Uh, I wouldn't take the chance if it really matters to you. Its a collaberation of a whole bunch of meats. [/quote] [color=deeppink]Not true, unless you consider meat from two sections of the same animal to be "a whole bunch of meats."[/color]
  5. [quote name='Miss Anonymous']I have to wonder how someone managed to steal not just one but TWO of the DS systems and replace it with rocks without anyone noticing.[/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]From what the article says, only one DS was stolen. That box was returned (due to rocks), and then it was [i]restocked and resold[/i].[/color]
  6. [quote name='Inuyasha Fandom']YAY! HUGGLES! *has sexual stimulations from said huggles*[/QUOTE] [center][img]http://a3.vox.com/6a00c22523d659604a011017bf450b860e-pi[/img][/center]
  7. [color=deeppink]I instantly become very cold to anyone I don't know extremely well touching me. It's one of the few times where, try as I might, I can't hide my irritation.[/color]
  8. [quote name='Allamorph'][FONT=Arial]But do you remember the Chuck Norris and Mr. T cartoons? Or Fraggle Rock and Eureka's Castle, for that matter?[/FONT][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]Yezzir, I sure do. I have an episode of Fraggle Rock I have on VHS that I've had as long as I can remember. Unfortunatley, my steel trap nerd memory also has Fantastic Max in is rusted grasp. I'd give anything to unremember that.[/color]
  9. [quote name='Stephanie'][size=1]I remember the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Ninja Turtles cartoon series, AND when there were only 151 Pokemon.[/size][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]I remember Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad, Bump in the Night, and, perhaps most tellingly, the short-lived MC Hammer cartoon Hammerman.[/color]
  10. [quote name='Korey'][Font="Franklin Gothic Medium"]There. Maybe I should use the enter key more often when transitioning so I don't get taken out of context. Two separate thoughts. Wasn't trying to relate them.[/font][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]This was not a case of you being taken out of context. Until your first response to me, I was not under the impression that they were the same thought; the only real confusion there was I thought "my moral standards only go so far" was part of the first thought. The line made no difference, as I would have been disheartened regardless. The problem arose from your use of "we." I took that to mean that that you thought it was immoral to call stupid people "retarded," but you do it anyway so **** it. Since that is not the case, I don't have any criticisms.[/color]
  11. [color=deeppink]Are you aware that only some of us can see those pictures? They appear to be private.[/color]
  12. [quote name='Korey'][FONT="Franklin Gothic Medium"] Especially when you take it out of context. I meant that statement in the context that I have no remorse for people who have the chance/opportunity to treat their mental disorders and they don't get the treatment they need due to their own volition.[/FONT][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]Perhaps, then, you would care to explain what it has to do with all that. As I see it, "it's immoral, but I do it anyway" has nothing to do with "I will not give sympathy to those who will not help them selves." There's no overlap there.[/color]
  13. [quote name='Korey'][FONT="Franklin Gothic Medium"] Is it morally ethical to call someone who does something stupid "retarded?" No, but we do it anyways. My moral standards only go so far. [/FONT][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]That is one of the most disheartening things I have ever read.[/color]
  14. [color=deeppink]Oh man, if they do, then I totally regret never going to them. Of course, I think it's more along the lines of having cornholing at every single thing done in Evansville ever. I'm under the impression that it's the city passtime. Or possibly the regional passtime. ALSO! Sara, now that you're back on the blagoblag, you should definitely sign on messenger more. And being online but away doesn't count. [/color]
  15. [quote name='Sara'][size=1]They were playing . . . what?[/size][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]That is exactly what I thought the first time I heard about. Today was actually the first time I had ever seen it. It's like horseshoes, but instead of horseshoes and posts there are beanbags and a wooden plank with a hole in it.[/color]
  16. [quote name='Sara'][size=1]Also, I don't get the leek thing. Is this from a show?[/size][/QUOTE] [center][YOUTUBE="&nyaaaaaaa"]1wnE4vF9CQ4&nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa[/YOUTUBE][/center]
  17. [color=deeppink]The cook out went as expected. I showed up, ate, watched people playing cornhole, and didn't talk to anyone for two and a half hours.[/color]
  18. [color=deeppink]I believe it is absolutely wrong to take a life. I also believe it is absolutely wrong to not intervene when someone is suffering to such a great extent. I see this as a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. If someone wishes to be euthanized and there is someone willing to do such a thing, I will not speak ill of either of them, even though I believe that the killing is wrong. I could never do it myself.[/color] [quote name='TwistedChick]Suicide, when carried out by someone that is fully aware of the consequences and the effect it has on others, is the ultimate act of selfishness. It's placing your own condition before the lives of everyone you know, trading the relief of your own personal suffering for the suffering that your loss will inflict upon all of those that know and love you. It's saying that you're too weak to keep trying for their sakes. True friends are there for the sake of one another, to see that the [I]other person[/I'] is happy even if the one putting forth the effort isn't. If you have even one decent friend in this world, one person you'd rather see happy than sad, then fight to live.[/quote] [color=deeppink]I have a question: isn't this just a case of selfish desires versus selfish desires? If everyone in this scenario is required to work exclusively for the other side's happiness, then if the "surviving friends" do not encourage this suicide, they are being selfish, right? It's trading the relief of the suffering they would experience at the loss of their friend for the suffering of their friend. I don't think that the reasoning here really works; either the person comitting suicide is selfish for killing himself or herself, or the friends are selfish for not putting their friend before themselves. I think it's a little extreme to condemn either side in this scenario. It is, again, damned if you do, damned if you don't.[/color]
  19. [quote name='Desbreko'][color=#4B0082] I would've liked to make the tag so that you could just paste the entire URL, but I don't think it's possible with the way custom bb code works.[/color][/QUOTE] [color=deeppink]I recall Orange Lazarus had that setup towards the end. I believe it started with just the snippit, but nobody knew how to use it so it got changed.[/color]
  20. [color=deeppink]I watched [i]Nosferatu[/i] this weekend. While I very much enjoyed Schreck's portrayal of Dracula, I was really let down by the ending. The ending to [i]Dracula[/i] was one of the most suspenseful passages I've ever read. [i]Nosferatu's[/i] ending was boring.[/color]
  21. [quote name='John']I think Superman could have changed in the middle of the street--or not changed at all, and just fly off in his business suit and glasses--and nobody still would have figured out his secret identity. Any comic book fans around here know of an explanation for this?[/quote] [color=deeppink]Super-hypnotism. And I'm [URL="http://superdickery.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=742:more-super-hypnotism&catid=36:stupor-powers-index&Itemid=38"]not[/URL] [URL="http://superdickery.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=681:superhypnotism&catid=36:stupor-powers-index&Itemid=38"]kidding.[/URL] Note to Sara: You are awesome. I will get to this when I'm not swamped with all the book-learnins I have to do for finals.[/color]
  22. [color=deeppink]Bea Arthur died. This makes me extremely sad; I've always been a big fan.[/color]
  23. [color=deeppink]Is there some way we can make it so that, when posting videos, the character limit doesn't come into effect? I mean, I realize that when posting a picture the character limit is satisfied because of the length of most URLs whereas the snippet from a Youtube URL is much shorter. It's just that I find it a bit off-putting when I can post a picture without saying anything but a video needs some commentary. I think if we allow one, we should allow the other. This is assuming, of course, that such a thing is even feasible. [/color]
  24. [color=deeppink][center][YOUTUBE="Jenny"]mlYkIJVguCU[/YOUTUBE][/center] I'm so happy that Bret was in Lord of the Rings.[/color]
  25. [color=deeppink]The fact that there hasn't been a Triad chat in upwards of 2 years is a crime against humanity.[/color]
