Good response, but I was actually thinking of it the other way around! :p Some guys seem to love seeing women stroll around the house in a man's shirt (as part of the morning after image). The same reasoning could apply, of course. ~Dagger~
I think the customary lack of pants might be a factor in that one. Or at least the impression of pantslessness.

Master, we should leave. It is not safe here; My doppelganger motioned for us to follow. I did not question him; I trusted him as much as I trusted myself. After all, he was my creation. My son, however, was not so trusting. I’m not going anywhere you tell me what the hell is going on! Who is this jerk, Ploppy? Not now, Nomura, if he says it’s dangerous then we need to move. I’m going with him; you can do what you want; but if you want to live, you need to come with us. Lead the way, N-man. I turned and left without allowing my son to respond. I heard him jog to catch up, but he said nothing for the rest of the journey. We traveled for what seemed like hours through a completely barren wasteland, broken only by the occasional forlorn pile of rubble. Finally, we reached a pile of rubble bigger than the rest; N-Man slowed to a stop. Where are we? We are in the remains of Otaku City, Master. But it is not yet safe to talk; the eyes of the Otakubots are everywhere. Our transport should be arriving shortly.” As soon as the words left his mouth, the earth before us split open and from it emerged, to my utter amazement, a telephone booth. Without a word, N-Man stepped inside and began dialing on the phone. Nomura and I quickly followed. It was an uncomfortable experience; the three of us nearly filled the booth. N-Man hung up the phone, and with a horrendous jolt we moving underground. The sounds of smooth jazz filled our ears; no doubt to ward off unwanted intruders. We reached our destination and I let out a gasp as the doors opened to reveal a sigh I thought I would never see again. I can’t believe it. You’re hiding here? It was a relic of a bygone era, with an appearance to match the chaos of those times. In the most rudimentary sense, it was a bar, albeit abnormally large and anarchic. The walls were not painted so much as they had paint cans smashed against them. Large splotches of every color imaginable intertwined into a horrible conglomeration, broken every now and then by a poster of Dragonball Z or Digimon. The walls were littered with graffiti, which ranged from utter nonsense to statements proclaiming how much James sucks and what his mother does in her spare time. Televisions were scattered about the room, each hooked up to a video game console. Several had been completely smashed and left to lie on the ground. Broken chairs were also strewn about the room, no doubt the remnants of several bar fights. Above the bar itself was a large portrait of a man thrusting his fist into the air and shouting. Nomura gaped, taking in the full horror of the room. What is this place? I tried to keep the nostalgia out of my voice as I replied; I don’t think I succeeded. This, Nomura, is the Secret GD. Before James became mayor, Otaku City was a chaotic place; complete and total anarchy. The mods were nonexistent, and even the admins barely ever showed their faces. But all that changed with James. He brought order to this town. Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with that. A group of oldies, led by thimoc himself, created this place as a last bastion for their idea of Ultra-Fun. I’m ashamed to say it, but I’ve participated in more than a few anti-James rallies here. I turned accusingly to N-Man. But I thought it was destroyed when SEEL attacked the Old City. No, Master. Only the entrances were destroyed. However, since then, efforts have been made – A loud crash interrupted him; Nomura had knocked over another television. He stood there, visibly perturbed. Damn it, Ploppy, I don’t want a history lesson! Tell me what the hell is going on! Nomura, I’m afraid everything I can say will be a history lesson. We’re in the future. He didn’t even flinch when I informed him of our temporal displacement, and I couldn’t help but crack a smile. Of course he wouldn’t be disconcerted with something as humdrum as accidental time travel. I thought. He’s my son. I don’t know for sure why it happened, but I can hazard a guess. I won’t bore you with the techno babble, but let’s just say that’s the last time I build a force field generator using parts from a broken down TARDIS. As for this handsome young fellow? I gestured towards our host. Well, I guess you could say he’s your real father. He’s an Otakubot I modified to house my genetic material in order to create an offspring. I sent him into the future in an attempt to keep my genetic offspring – you – safe from the undesirables of the world. It would seem I failed. Wait... you made a robot to father me? Why didn’t you just do it yourself? What, you mean... physically? Ew, that’s gross. You’re gross. Oh, grow up, Dad. So, wait, if he’s my father, then... who’s my mother? Suddenly, the powerful aroma of chocolate chip cookies hit us like an F-bomb to the face. From behind us, a sing-song voice announced the presence of Nomura’s mother. Hello, boys, glad you could join us! I just took these cookies out of the oven. Nomura turned, slowly, to face his mother and let out an audible gasp. He appeared to become light-headed, and began to swoon a little; I managed to reach out and grab him before he fell over. “Rai is my mother? _______________________ Um, I'm going to be in the future for a few more posts. If anybody needs "Present Ploppy" information, feel free to PM me.

Previously... I don?t know how much time passed after I infiltrated the terrorist camp. It felt like weeks. Operation: Puppies had been completed successfully, and the terrorist?s shrine was a smoking pile of rubble. Unfortunately, the explosion had the unforeseen side-effect of disrupting my equipment; the communicators were dead, and I was no longer receiving the signal from the tracer Madhat planted on my son. I had no way of locating him. I had to be careful; I had already been discovered once. Fortunately, it was some bottom-tier terrorist I had never seen before. He kept shouting about he was the boss and how I was his arch-nemesis or something. He seemed more interested in boasting than with catching me, and I managed to dispatch him quickly and effortlessly. But time was running out. I needed to find him quickly; I could not hope to remain undetected for much longer. And then I saw him, sitting in a clearing filled with the tallest grass I had ever seen. He was alone; I approached him slowly, cautiously. About time, father. I?ve been waiting forever. I wasted no time and activated my force field; I wanted to make sure no one would interfere. Ah, father, once again, hiding behind your technology. I?m not hiding. I?m just making sure we don?t have any unwanted company. I suggest you come quietly; I don?t want to harm you. Nomura sneered and withdrew a long cylindrical object from his belt. I doubt you could if you tried. You see, I seem to have inherited some of your technological genius; and from what Charlie?s told me, you were never much of a fighter. With a faint click, the object whirred to life, bathing us in a bright pink light. Prepare yourself, father. Wait... is that a lightsaber? Uh... yeah. You brought a lightsaber? Yeah. Didn?t you? No! Why the hell would I bring a lightsaber? Those things are dangerous! But... I thought you realized we had this whole Star Wars motif going on. That doesn?t mean I?m going to start haphazardly swinging lightsabers around! Think, boy! I didn?t think you?d- Suddenly, an explosion erupted close by; the ground rumbled beneath our feet, knocking us both off our feet. A wave of fire barreled toward us; there was no time to react. We could not hope avoid the flames. The explosion connected with my forcefield, and suddenly I was in excruciating pain. I had never before experienced something so horrible; it was like every cell in my body was slowly being ripped away. I eventually found myself laying facedown in the tall grass. It took a supreme effort for me to stand; every part of my body ached, and I would have liked nothing more than to lay facedown in the dirt forever. I took in my surroundings, which where completely different. The terrorist camp appeared to be completely demolished in the explosion; I was gazing at a desolate wasteland, completely barren except for the circle of tall grass I was standing in. Next to me, Nomura stirred. What happened? he moaned. A bomb went off. The terrorist camp has been completely destroyed. And you?re hurt, I told you lightsabers were dangerous. Nomura leapt to his feet; there was indeed a mostly cauterized gash on his left arm. He screamed at me, enraged. You damn counter-terrorists! You would actually sink so low as to nuke our entire base? You?re despicable. The CTU did not set off that bomb. We would never do that. Oh? Tell that to Sephiroth. That was one building, not your entire base. I should also remind you that Madhat gave your companions plenty of time to escape. Then who the hell set it off, then? CTU members are the only ones who would have a reason to bomb us. And who the hell is that? I turned on the spot, and saw a figure approaching us. It was difficult to make out at first, but even at that distance I knew who it was. The figure was, with the exception of his clothes, completely identical to myself, right down to the scar on his left cheek. N-Man? Hello Master. I have been expecting you.

Writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

You're right about the blood situation, but I was mostly talking about the students. I guess it's silly of me to expect something more from Rowling when she barely mentions other Slytherin students other than Draco and his gang... I thought a unity theme was going on, and the Slytherin students' betrayal of Hogwarts was slightly off to me.

Oh, yeah, I was going to say this but forgot.
Centuries of inter-house prejudices aren't going to dissapear because a hat tells them to "stick together!" ; ) I should point out that Harry does take steps at the end of the book to start the mending process.

The last part of my post was a joke, although not one well portrayed. :L
Fair enough, heh. -
Writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Nerdsy replied to Lady Asphyxia's topic in Creative Works

2) Everyone in Slytherin is evil and there is no redemption, except for Slughorn (who is awesome lol). I just didn't get why everyone in Slytherin has to be a supporter of Voldemort. Ok, yes, it is Canon that everyone in Slytherin is pure-blood: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix For instance, Slytherin Took only pure-blood wizards Of great cunning, just like him... But it was lame that ALL of them left for Voldemort during the battle. Seriously, what was all this stuff about the Houses coming together and defending Hogwarts, and then not a single Slythering defends Hogwarts? And I think CUNNING implies that at least some of them were INTELLIGENT, and if they were AMBITIOUS, they would be AMBITIOUS to SAVE THEIR LIVES and not want to end of in a spiky cage being interrogated by the MOM and then sent to Azkaban. It's weird that Rowling likes to give everyone dimension...except the Slytherins.

That's not entirely true.
Not everyone in Slytherin is pure-blood; neither Voldemort nor Snape were pure-blood, and yet they were accepted. And besides Slughorn, there are other Slytherin's who are far from beyond redemption. Snape, of course, and Phinneas Nigellus Black, both of whom worked to bring about the downfall of Voldemort. And let's not forget Regulus Black, who sacrificed himself in an attempt to destroy a horcrux. There's also strong evidence that Tonks' mother, Andromeda, was a Slytherin. As for the Slytherin's all running... Phinneas himself said in OotP that a Slytherin will always choose to save his or her own neck. While this is certainly not absolute, it's a good rule of thumb; the Slytherin's didn't fight because they either didn't want to put their life on the line or didn't think Voldemort could be defeated. I'm not sure why you think the Ministry of Magic would interrogate retreating Slytherins and then throw them all into Azkaban; I doubt the Ministry would do that just because someone chose not to fight, especially with Kingsley in command.
-
I'm not trying to make fun of anyone or be evil. I'm only saying that by calling yourself an otaku, you are making fun of yourself and if you were to use this term in Japan to refer yourself as an anime fan then you ARE insulting yourself.
You're not insulting yourself if you don't think that being otaku is a bad thing. Embrace the "insult," and it eventually loses meaning. As for the meaning of "otaku" in Japan... most of us know. None of us care.

For example, making Cho out to be the one who snitched on "Dumbledore's Army" made me pretty angry. Because, now the future directors (if there are any) will have to take that into account when filiming Cho and Harry's arguments in the 6th book. (should they choose to film them) To be quite honest, by putting the blame on Cho reverses the feelings. Because now I feel bad for Cho being forced to rat out Harry and other using Veratiserum (spelling?) instead of angry that she defended the girl that actually ratted (which was the books version)

They never argued in the 6th book. They never even talked to each other.
Honestly, people don't form very many misconceptions about me when looking at me. I pretty much fit the stereotype of my personality. Although, I'm apparently really convincing when I'm joking, and my friends have believed some pretty out there things about me. So those kinds of misconceptions pop up.

Smash Brothers, damn it. Yeah, Majora's Mask is techinically available on it... you have to get the Collector's Edition, which has Oot and the NES games. It's difficult to suggest anything, considering I have no idea what you like. I enly emphatically suggest SSB:M because if you don't like it I don't care for you much as a person, and I like to think the best of everybody at first. I would, however, suggest Metroid Prime (the second one doesn't live up to the first, but it's still a fun play), Mario Kart, Paper Mario, and Wind Waker. I also love Animal crossing, but that's something of a niche game, I have no idea if you'd like it.

The crappiest day of my life was when I discovered I had been left out of the meeting of Indiana OBers. If I were to pick a second, it would have to be the time I got mauled by a dog. It was my mother's boyfriend's dog, at that. Or... at least I think they were dating at the time, I don't remember. I was roughly 7 or 8, and we were all supposed to go somewhere. I don't remember what, probably the zoo or the pool. My mom was getting ready and I walked next door to where my mom's boyfriend lived, and his dog was out there. Now, it had been raised as a guard dog, and it didn't like me being there. I, very foolishly, tried to pet it, and it basically just ruined my ****. I don't remember anything immidiately after in lunged at me, but somehow I had managed to crawl across the yard back to my house, where my mom proceeded to freak out and drive me to the hospital. It had torn a huge wound in my shoulder (the bone was clearly visible) and made a gash a little lower down on the arm. Oddly, neither of those bothered me; rather, this tiny little scratch on my back that my mom didn't notice hurt like a mofo. I ended up getting approximately one hundred billion stitches. It sucked.
It just feels like an oxymoron to me. I can't fathom how you could be against homosexuality as a concept but still consider yourself to be accepting of people who are homosexual. Homosexual people come part and parcel of the homosexuality package - without homosexual people, homosexuality as a concept wouldn't exist. So you're either prejudiced against homosexuality, and by extension homosexual people, or you aren't. You can't split the noun from the adjective and say "I disagree with this concept but if you actually apply it to a person then I'm okay with it," because if you claim to disagree with it in the first place then you clearly aren't okay with it, whether it's abstract or concrete.
I hate yellow cars, but not the people who drive them. I can recognize that a person is worthwhile despite such an obvious rift in our opinions. If you'd like something a little less extreme, I am against stealing, and yet I have friends who steal. It may irk me, but there's considerably more to a person than one trait that I disagree with. As for me? I love homosexuals. Can't get enough of them.
Does...anybody actually know what emo is? It's screamo. Wowwwww. Research. Wiki.
I'm sorry, what? Are you saying that emo is screamo? Or are you saying that RJA is screamo? I did the Wiki research (I assume you meant Wikipedia, correct me if I'm wrong), and it basically said neither are true. While it claims screamo evolved from emo (specifically emocore), it did not claim that screamo was emo. At least, not current emo; current screamo apparently is the same thing as early 90s emo, which I must stress is considered different than modern emo. However, I can almost guarantee that no one here is referring to that era of emo, save perhaps you. RJA is also not listed as emo. Pehraps you could elaborate on what you mean? Or perhaps provide a more reliable source than a wiki?
