2. Did anybody have a thing for Blossom, or am I the only one?
  3. I used to have this wicked addiction to vanilla coke, because it was like sweet, sweet nectar. I gave up pop a few years ago... I've been drinking every now and then the past couple of months, but apparently they don't make it anymore. Sucks.
  4.
My Month Ban Soon into my visit on these boards I started getting IM's saying that OtakuBoards was going be hacked. I reported these declarations, with Stardust as a witness, only to be told I was lying by I think his name was Vash. So over time I kept getting IMs and kept reporting them. Over time Vash gave me a month ban for "making up stuff." H-Bomb believed me but he didn't want to go over Vash's head and unban me. So I went a month without posting.
Sounds like Shinji. His Aim handle for a while was something like "Vash Katanaka" or something random like that.
  5. Otakuboards is just a silly little message board I post on from time to time. People talk about stuff, (mostly socks), and occasionally some people band together and try to start a revolution. Also, it's blue.
  6.
I think it's not fair to seperate them. It should be okay for there to be both rps with huge backstory and plot construction as well as more loose and free ones. The only thing quality should be judged on is in posts. We obviously don't need one-liners and such crap, but it's not like every post needs to dump a boat on you. Descriminating the type of rp that's allowed is ignorant. Saying that there's no place for a less developed rp on Otakuboards is like saying 'we don't want you here.' There is no harm done by these rps. It's absolute ignorance to deny them a place on our boards.
What exactly do you mean when you call such a policy "ignorant?" And on a subject that's not semantics, there has to be some level of discrimination, or we'd quickly fall back into the era of "You say a word, I say a word." There just has to be some level of quality control. How much is debatable, but it's needed. You claim to not allow discrimination based on type of RP, and yet you want to ban the type of RP that allows one liners, or even calls for them? That's the exact sort of discrimination you're saying we should get rid of. I should also point out the not all of our rules are based on harm. Posting in 5 year old RPGs (or regular threads, unless that's changed) doesn't harm anything, but gravedigging still isn't allowed. Posting an one-sentence long favorites thread doesn't hurt anything, but it's still now allowed.
  7.
[strike]Power Rangers (Why in the world is this still on tv?)[/strike]
Because it kicks ***. As for that show involving bears... Gummi Bears was a show on the Disney Afternoon, but I don't know if it's the one you're thinking of. link for reference. I religiously watched Fox Kids and Kids WB for quite a while, and a lot of the shows I watched were already mentioned. I'll just fill in a few others. Big Bad Beetleborgs, Mystic Knights of Tyr Na Nog, Masked Rider, VR Troopers, Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad (I was real big on the tokusatsu, can you tell?), Samurai Pizza Cats, Thundar the Barbarian, Johnny Quest, Star Trek: TNG, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, various Nintendo realated cartoons. Man I watched a lot of TV. Also, Pete and Pete gets its own special mention because it's the best thing in the history of ever. Also, Felix, I didn't think any other Animorph book fans existed, heh.
  8. Tea, Earl Grey. Hot. I usually take it with some milk or cream because I find it too bitter without, but lately I've grown accustomed to it plain. I get Twinnings brand, but that's really because of a random choice. I've not experiemented with other kinds. I'll drink chamomile pretty often too. word of advice: chamomile cures all ailments.
  9.
How could you never have played Starcraft? Despicable. lol
Well, I'm fairly poor, so for most of my life my family chose food over a computer. I stuck strictly to console games. Even when I eventually got one, it was incredibly crappy and wouldn't play any video games whatsoever. The one I have now I've had for maybe 9 months, and when I got it I certainly wasn't looking for 9 year old games, heh. And my local video game store doesn't sell computer games anymore, sadly.
  10.
Umm, hello?!
I have no idea who that is.
  11. I honestly cannot think of any good female villains. Actually I can barely think of any female villains at all. Edea from Final Fantasy XIII started out promising, but all that convoluted crap with the time-travelling-possesion really turned me off. Grundy from Banjoo Kazooie isn't really interesting at all. Actually, you know what? The queen from Chrono Trigger was pretty good. She had this whole "corrupted by power" thing going on, which I thought was done pretty well. Does Mother Brain count? I'm pretty sure it's a female, but I hell, it's just a brain. Hm. I certainly find her threatening, so she's gotta be up there. Other than those four, I can't think of any. Hm.
  12.
Look at it this way. Atleast you didn't embarass yourself like the obese guys who dress up like InuYasha or Goku.
As a side note, I've wanted to cosplay as Tuxedo Mask for years, but I've been afraid to because I'd rather not have that awkward moment where I run into Sailor Bubba, the local Giant Hairy Man Cosplaying As A Sailor Scout.
  13.
This is true Beauty...
Maybe in opposite world.
  14.
Shy and I go way back, so that's one. And me and Nerdsy need to get together and watch Labyrinth and slash or The Princess Bride some time.
Don't forget about painting the world's largest ball of paint. Hm, my first two choices should be obvious. Shy and Sara, of course. After that, I'd imagine Ajeh and Ben would be fun to meet.
  15. Nerdsy

    Wow...

How could I forget you? You're one of the few people who ever beat Sephiroth in a Pokemon battle! Welcome back, Fishy.
  16.
(like Chocobeek, Beek and Beek-Weh).
This reminds me; we need an article on Laughing Stock. I don't know enough to write one myself, although I can fill in some info here and there.
  17.
a lot of people would (mistakenly) say that rain on a wedding day is ironic. It's not, but coincidental or convenient doesn't work as well either.
Actually, they'd be correct.
Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs
So long as the rain on on a wedding day is unexpected (which isn't much of a stretch; a lot of people expect their wedding day to be absolutely perfect), the situation would still be ironic. Just, not in the literary sense.
  18.
I don't like working in groups because fingers are automatically pointed at me to do everything. I hate it. When I say something about it, they act like they don't do it. I had to do this whole powerpoint project by myself because everyone's so lazy.... they expect me to do it too.
I'm not accusing you of this, your post just reminds me of it. In my Biology class last semester, there was this guy who pretty much did everything else while the rest of it of us sat around and joked. I like to think that I did my fair share, but there were others in the lab group that did absolutely nothing. In his case, it wasn't that he kept getting sadled with the work. It was that he kept pushing himself in, and taking the work from other people. We'd be studying something under a microscope, with one of us doing the work, and suddenly BAM! he was there doing it. At least once he threatened to make us do all the work, which was kind of empty since most of us were more than willing.
  19. Looks like the threat worked. Ajeh Ajeh joined Otakuboards sometime in in early v2. He was one of the first newbies to make a name for himself after the switch from V1, and along with other notable members Sephiroth and killermon dominated many threads (although usually derailing them with nonsense involving catscans). Although he has perhaps never made a huge impact on the boards, he has been an almost constant presence since he registered. Possibly his most notable achievement was ministering at the wedding of OB legends Pyromunkie and Queen Asuka. Ajeh ties with Desert Shadow for being the most amiable member in the history of the site, and is almost universally loved. His original name, AJ2K1 AKA MegaSaiyanBrolly, is easily the most ridiculous username ever. Unfortunately, Ajeh is also English, and therefore backwards. However, most people recognize that this is a birth defect, and no one really blames him. 20.
I'll start with 2007Digitalboy, so don't tempt me!
Not much of a threat there, Charles. I'll try to have one later tonight.
  21.
Then again, I'm a known a##hole (apparently it doesn't censor this word?).
I can vouch for that.
  22. A brilliant flash of light, an ear-shattering boom, and then darkness. That's all I can remember of the attack. I've been told I was unconscious for nearly a day afterwards. It sounds about right; it may seem weird, even unbelievable, but I was aware nearly the entire time. I can't say how long, because when you're unconscious time plays more tricks on you that normal. At first it was dark. Pitch-black. It was this way for a long time; I had nothing to do but reflect on the previous events, both good and bad. From the terrorist's defection to my own traitorous progeny, I had a lot to think about. I don't know how long this lasted. Eventually, though, shapes began to form. At first they were blurry, impossible to make out, but they rapidly became clearer. I saw Adam being led away in shackles, his face one of grim defeat. I saw the CTU, in all their splendor, charge upon the terrorist scum in an attempt to free Adam. The battle was fierce; the terrorists kep shouting insults as the CTU turned it all into valid discussion. It was marvellous watching such an event from the outside. The scene faded, replaced with more blurry shapes. Familiar shapes formed out of them; the faces of my friends. Grape Ape and Drei were the only people in the command room, with Grape Ape shouting orders and Drei taking my place at the monitor station. I smiled, or at least I imagined I did. They could get along plenty fine without me. Suddenly, both their eyes snapped to my center monitor. The look of panic on their faces was unsettling, to say the least. I followed their eyes to the screen; it was the medical ward. I saw myself, laying on the bed, convulsing, with the doctors trying desperately to stabalize me. Everything started to shake. The image violently broke apart, replaced again with the inky blackness. Even then, and this is a hard thing to explain, the shaking didn't stop. Somehow, the nothing was shaking before my eyes. It was disconcerting, to say the least. It quickly stopped, replaced instantly with a brilliant white aura. I felt myself drawn to it, even though I knew what such an image must mean. I was clearly dead. I suddenly felt a great sense of resignation. I knew there was no point in fighting; I proceeded into the light, awaiting my destiny and praying that the CTU could manage without me. WHAP! Pain shot through my head. Is this what the light felt like? WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! All right! Cut it the hell out! I rubbed my head with my... hands? I was still formless, and yet... it's impossible to explain. These words are merely the closest faximile I have. You silly boy. It's not your time. Out of the light stepped - no, sauntered - Peacock, sipping on a spectral martini and still waving that damnable fan. Peacock? What are you doing here? I've kicked the bucket, I'm afraid. Platypus's doing. Then I'm? No, no, no, you poor thing. Don't you listen? It's not your time! It's all been a big mixup, I'm here to send you back. I stared, hardly able to accept what was happening. I felt it was only right to salute. It's been an honor serving with you, Peac- Sandy. Peacock smirked and closed his fan. Give the CTU my regards. WHAP! I was flying backwards, propelled by the sheer force of his fan, for what felt like miles. I hit something very solid, and I found myself awake in my bed, doctors crowded around me. More than one of them were proclaiming my survival to be a miracle. I sat up. It was a painful process; I was alive, but still badly hurt. I looked around at the stunned doctors, and smirked. Don't act so surprised. You should all know by now that you can't stop the signal.
  23. For my English book reports (which were done in a group), I basically did all the work. We decided to set the first one to interpretive dance set to narration, and I wrote the entire script. And picked out the music. The second one we basically made a play, but done with toys. Again, I wrote nearly the entire script and provided all the toys. I didn't mind, though; my efforts got us all A's.
  24. Lemonade is delicious. When I start drinking a can or bottle of it, I have to exude effort so that I don't drink the whole thing in one long chug. I could easily go through a few cases a day. Luckily, I've got pretty good willpower when it comes to shopping, and so far I've stuck to about a case a week.
  25.
If we're talking about terrible villains with extremely little to no credability or build up, please god...do not forget Vayne Solidor.
Vayne might not have been dealt with very well, but at least he became threatening at the end, and you had a good idea you were dealing with a powerful mofo. Necron popped out of nowhere with absolutely no indication that he could do anything, with almost no explanation as to why he was there. I was confused as hell when it happened.
