Ah good point.[/B']
I always have good points regarding movies. I mean, they're one of my passions. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that we ignore the movies altogether; I'm just saying that if you don't like the movies this summer, you can always read a book instead of *****ing about it.
I also like marshmellows and they also make me do this:
Does this mean you're looking forward to the next Ghostbusters movie as much as I am? I am totally stoked. I mean, it's not a summer release as far as I know, but it probably will be next year.

I shouldn't even bother turning this thing off anymore. Attention CTU. The masterpiece known as OtakuBoards: Enter the Net [PG] is safe. Also, I'm awesome. That is all.

I coudln't tear my eyes away from those nipples. They appeared to grow, devouring the world around them and sucking me into a brownish hell of the terrorist's design. I finlly snapped out of it, but I feared that my trance may have cost our team valuable time. Attention CTU. We need to organize. I suggest we have at least one unit whose sole job is to counter the terrorist's spam; while one is certainly capable of countering these laughable attempts at terrorism, I would prefer two. I also suggest splitting the reaming units into teams of two to search for the nukes. This would ensure that we keep the search varied. As more suitcases are discovered, this will leave us with more and more members to search for the remaining packages. Searching was my specialty; I had the signal, after all. When I heard Mother's transmission, I was both elated that a bomb had been found and irritated that she had found my quarry before me. All I had left to do was move on. But first, I had a message to deliver. Attention CTU: Our very own Mother has discovered the first package. I repeat, she has discovered the first package; there is no longer a need to search for suitcase 6. This is no excuse to let up; if anything, we should begin to search harder. Ploppy commands it! I knew the terrorists were listening; they had to have cracked our signal. How else could they have broken into our base so many times? The last bit was for them. I wanted them to know that my name is Ploppy, not Ploopy. Not that they'd understand; they can barely speak their own barbarian language, so they'd certainly have trouble with even the simplest of our words. EDIT: And that's when I saw it, staring down at me from one of my glrorious monitors: a bomb. Labeled not with "Death from above," but rather "Happy Birthday." , as it were. I flicked on my mike again, for the third time in as many minutes. Attention CTU. I'm sure you're all tired of me by now, but I hope what I'm about to say will allow you to forgive me. I have discovered the 5th bomb; in an anniversary thread, no less! Happy Birthday OtakuBoards!!! is no longer in danger. I expect plenty of praise for this discovery. That is all.
[b']But my parents saw pirates, they loved it!
Yeah, I don't understand why everyone is dissing this movie so bad. It's like they're going in expecting Godfather or something. It's funny you and White should mention Mitch, as he personifies ridiculously high movie standards. I really don't understand why people want so much more than fun when they go into a movie. Let there be great, epic movies, and let there be popcorn flicks. It's all good. And Dead brings up a good point. Why should we limit our summer enjoyment to these unending threequels? there are hundreds of movies out there we could rent, several thousand if we count porn. And even if porn is not available, there's still the internet, which usually costs less a month than a single movie ticket. And with all those shirtless hunks like Mitch out there, there's plenty to choose from.
Only a true warrior could possibly understand the glory of fighting
Ah, 'twas those very words that got me through high school. I was very timid as a child, and was picked on when I first entered 9th grade. My father (hardcore millitant kind of guy) told me those very words, followed by "If you don't stand up for yourself, you'll get walked on the rest of your life." I walked in one day, and just threw down with one of the bullies. I walked away much better off than he was, too. In a way, you could look at all your problems like this, Darren. To only way to overcome them is to stand up to them; otherwise, they'll walk all over you.

Oh snap! I grinned broadly, basking in the humongous burn that I had just bore witness to. As I surveyed my domain, I reflected on the most recent terrorist attacks; they were less than impressive. Only two terrorists of note were involved with today's attacks; and they were only of note because of how ludicrous their methods are. The first was severely misguided. While attempting to derail several conversations, he did so in a way that actually added to them. It was the equivalent to trying to stick it to the man by helping an old lady across the street; clearly he did not understand his craft. The second, while a considerably better spammer, has taken it upon himself to remove any of his incidents as soon as they are discovered. While I must say it is has resulted in a few embarrassments, he fails to realize that he is doing our work for us. Their latest smear campaign has also been disappointing; they have leveled accusations of "baby talk" and "uncleverness" against this fine organization. Missing the point, as always. We do not call them "smelly" because we are trying to be clever; we are merely trying to give word to the putrid assault on our olfactory senses that we experience every time we deal with these animals. A flash from the corner monitor broke me out of my trance. Damn it! How'd I miss him? I thought. I recognized the flash instantly; a member of the terrorist cell responsible for some of the recent attacks. Clearly he's better at stealth than he is at terrorizing. I switch the mike from the intercom to the communicators; I can't have the terrorists know I'm on to them. Attention all units! Attention all units! Haswanana is a diversion! We have an intruder, and he is heading for Engel's cell! I repeat, he is heading for Engel's cell!

Attention, CTU. We have a guest; the dirty terrorist Al Haswiri has come to negotiate the release of our prisoner. Everyone is to report to the lobby. You know, the one with the dramatic posters. I shut off the intercom and leaned back in my chair, admiring the view my monitors provided. There was scarcely a nook that was out of my sight, to say nothing of the crannies. Grape Ape's suspicions had put me on guard; I was a hawk, searching for my prey among the grasses. I made sure that my largest monitor was focused on our prisoner. I watched in disgust as he spit on the wall, and proceeded to lean on the very spot where he spat. Is the cell to clean for him?" I thought to myself, nauseated. Can he not go a minute without making himself filthier?
-
It's come to my attention that the dirty terrorists are trying to install a panic in the knee-jerk crowd. They're insinuating that we claim to want to remove unreasonable restrictions, but that we are actually trying to take away the civil liberties of OB members. This is preposterous; no one is infringing upon the right to discuss pie, so long as it is done appropriately and respectfully! This is a classic example of taking words out of context, something these people are known for. The charges of "hypocrisy" are especially hypocritical on the part of the terrorists, considering their leader's long held belief that recent immigrants should be treated as second-class citizens with almost no rights. Further, I think it's clear to everyone that their mothers dress them funny.
-
The terrorist's first move has been brilliantly countered, if I say so myself. We should not let our guards down, though; the rest of the terrorists are sure to be sneakier than 2007Suckitalboy. Despite their smell.

Strange work experiences... care to share?
I don't have a job. On that note, strange things often revolve around pie.
Oh man, you're telling me; I know someone who works in a convenience store, and they've got this habitual vandal that continuously moves the store's pies to the wrong sections. As in, behind the canned green beans. It's less harmless than that hooligan kids who come in and break stuff and skateboard around the store, though. On the subject of baked goods, there used to be a donut thief at the same shop. He'd steal one or two donuts from the newly delivered bag, and have warm, fresh, free donuts. He never got caught, either; this guy apparently told someone else of his scheme, but the new guy took the entire bag. He got caught, and the first guy no longer had access to free donuts due to increased security. -
That's the thing, Gavin,
'cause these "pieces of eight" trinkets were passed down from a Captain to another Captain and whoever had it was captain of the ship. But Jack still had his even though he was marooned. Also, Barbossa would've had to have been captain of another ship at some other point to have his "eye" so... [/spoiler']it confuses me as well.
Where was this mentioned? I don't remember anyone ever saying that. I mean, if we apply that logic,
Jack being a Pirate Lord in the first place would be just as incongruent, seeing as he didn't take the Black Pearl from another pirate, and he furthermore didn't become a pirate until obtaining the Black Pearl. I don't think it's too far-fetched that a captain could recieve a piece of eight from another captain. Hector was an invinvible marauder for quite a while, he could have easily just taken it.

Frogs Legs - I don't know if this counts as unconventional, but I've never seen it anywhere outside of Quebec, so I assume it's a local thing... They're juicy and delicious but man, they just don't got enough meat on them. Buy a breadbasket full of them and you'll be fine, though.
Nah. I know a couple places in Indiana that serve them, among them a Chinese place. And they are certainly delicious.

I'll have everyone know that it wasn't the magnetism that drew me in. I'm no sheep. Rather, I was begged to join, and I just couldn't say no to Shy's puppy dog eyes. This boyfriend of my mom's. He taught me through trickery. I thought he was behind me holding me and making sure I didn't fall. I could have crashed! I've never forgiven him for it. 3. I refuse to answer such a straightforward question! Can't you come up with something at least a little vague? This feels so restricting.
I have to admit, the current staff timeline is a mess. It definitely needs the clarity you are looking for. Since currently there are two formats of listing used in it (chronological for newer staff, and sorted by person for older staff starting from Drix D'zanth), I would suggest that it would be turned entirely chronological. It would start from the first known roster of mods, and whenever someone would quit, join or change position, there would be a mention of it. So it would be just a simple, yet long, timeline (and that way you wouldn't have to separate what forum became what).
The section beginning with Drix is still sorted chronologically, just in a vastly different way. Although I certainly agree that we should have a uniform format; I was gathering information, and that format was the easiest for that, but I didn't expect it to be used. I'll wait for a consensus before editing the list (I myself am not fond of the format taken from the Staff forum). Even if we go for the your suggestion, Sandy, we'll still have to seperate what forum became what. PC Gaming/X-Box changing to PC/Mac and that represented a major shift in the forum, with all X-Box talk switched over to the newly created Microsoft forum. I think something like that should be noted. It's not as complex as I remember it, thankfully, so it really shouldn't be a problem. I'll just treat them as seperate forums. -
Woah, God of War? That had great voice acting. Looking at the post that mentions it, it seems they have more of an issue with the graphics instead of the voice over, though... But hell. I'd call that high quality voice acting m'self.
My big argument is mostly "If survival is the key to evolution, why do digestive systems, among other needlessly complicated bodily functions, exist?" Another one I like to use is "Since things adapt to adaptations in other things, what made the first thing adapt?" And finally, "Mothers only have two arms. Explain that, adaptation theory! "
1. Because it's random. We don't change to best suit our environment. We merely change, and if that change is helpful to our survival we keep it. Our bodies don't just go "OH SHI- WE NEED A THE ABILITY TO BREATHE UNDERWATER BECAUSE WE LIVE ON A BOAT AND THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO OUR SURVIVAL." Besdies, complex bodily systems don't hamper our ability to survive, so there is no reason a less complex mutation would become prevelant. I should also point out that without a digestive system, we wouldn't be able to eat. ; ) 2. Again. It was random. That original mutations are not caused by the "adapations in other things." Hell, they're really just birth defects that end up helping instead of hurting. And when there was only one thing, the only thing that it adapted to was the evironment; something can adapt to more than other life. 3. Because it never happened. Again, this is random. Or, conversly, it happened (assuming for a minute that such a biological leap is possible, which is extrememly unlikely), but it didn't help the woman survive to breed. Hell, a woman with more than two arms likely would have had a hard time finding a mate...
Basically my outlook on Human Evolution is this. A guy who wanted to be famous came up with all this stuff like humans came from monkeys (which is totally absurd) and stuff like that so he could go down in history. Those who go to church and who believe in God, know that this isn't true, so why, I ask you do they force us to "learn it" in school?
Two things here. First, two guys thought of it at around the same time; however, the second one never published himself. He just sent his research to Darwin and said "Do what you want with it." Also, Darwin was already famous at the time. Second. No where in the theory of evolution does it say we came from monkeys.

Adding a bit to the Angel's article. With 30% more shameless self-promotion! The formation of Adam's Angels sparked a craze among the members of OB. Several imitators and rivals popped up, among them Nerdsy's Nerds, notable for not only having the most members but for including forum legend Piromunkie, famous for actually being married to Angel member Queen Asuka. The Angels also started the "gradiant colors" fad, which usually involved a play on their motto, "The Elite." Okay, need some advice. I intend to go through the staff timeline again sometime soon to correct mistakes, but I've no idea what to do with the forums that are contstantly splitting up and reforming. Mainly, the Nintendo-related forums, which pretty much went from "Nintendo" to "Gamecube" (seperate forum from "Gameboy") back to "Nintendo" and then it changed again. Same with PC/X-Box/Mac. It got so bad I didn't even list part of Tony's tenure. I could certainly include each variation as a seperate forum, but can anyone else think of something better? (Read: Easier.) -
Huh. My bad. Well Haley sucked in the first one, in the second one he suited Sora. There we go[/B'].
I imagine puberty had a hand in that. Thank god.
And then, Sora switches over to an older sounding dude, in the second KH ,which actually suited him quite well.[/B']
You mean switched actors? Because that was still Haley Joel.

After watching At World's End, you can tell Elizabeth and Will are done because they'd complicate things, especially after it shows them ten years later with a kid and shiz. But they can continue with Jack and Barbossa and the Fountain of Youth.[/spoiler'] Exciting!

Dumping those two are just what the series needs. Especially Will. More focus on Jack, I say!
Still, I'm not psyched about a fourth. That's really just beating a dead horse.
[spoiler']...but how else would Dino Time happen unless he finds a way to bring creatures from other times and places to the point where he is at? Besides, the whole dinosaur fight with him is pretty sketchy to begin with since Issac painted it. It would of had to be a painting of Hiro's personal future instead of the general one.

But Dino Time's already happened. It wasn't a real dinosaur, it was a model in a museum. The stance and camera angle of the scene matched up perfectly with Mister Isaac's painting. There's still a little room for doubt, but so far that's how they have presented all the times the paintings have come true.
I hate these spoilers! Grarg!

It would be very poetic that Hiro's favorite tale as a child would have been the story of his "death", which would have to be faked. [/spoiler']
Have to?
He could just as easily die. : P
