When I first started listening to them I thought they were ok. Now I think they're a bit over-rated and I can't stand any of their albums after Hybrid Theory. Oh and sky, I love Licolin Park too!

I think it's selfish to not put yourself in their shoes, and not be open to what other people want. If I were in a situation where I thought I was trapped in the wrong body, and wanted a sex change, I would be very offended by some of the comments in this thread. To go out and say that something someone did is disgusting, without even fully understanding it, shows how narrow-minded you are. Another example of this would be most people who don't like homosexuals. I obviously don't have a problem with it. Most of the people who get these sex changes live as the opposite sex for a long time before they get the change. This will help them decide if they really want to go through with the change or not.

Has anyone here ever heard of this band? Everything from their name to their music is original. You can download a couple of their songs from www.sleepytimegorillamuseum.com . I don't have a lot of say about them now, but if other people reply I'll try to build off what they say.

Just now I picked up a case of about 50 CDs and the one I wanted fell out. I couldn't think of anything else that happened recently, but that's pretty coincidental if you ask me.

Hmm, just like that. The Yankees won. Not a big surprise, but quite disappointing. YANKEES SUCK!

Well, I'm a Red Sox fan (living in Maine). Everyone at my school is pumped up for the game (even if they hate baseball, it's just the cool thing to do when the sox are involved), and only the "rebellious" kids want the Yankees to win. I don't have a clue who's going to win, I can only hope the Sox will.
Originally posted by wrist cutter Even worse is that I love the Mentos song. So what if it's only 30 seconds! It can really get caught in your head.
The other day I kept on watching some flash video with the Mentos song. I must have watched it 50 times, then I went out and bought some Mentos (while singing the song to myself). When it comes to songs I'm embarrassed to like there's a lot of them. I like "Bring Me Back" by Evanescence. I haven't heard any of their other stuff though, so I don't know if I would like any more of it. Then there's "Boys and Girls" by Good Charlotte (even if the lyrics are awful). I'd rather have someone split my head open than listen to any other Good Charlotte song, but for some reason I like that one.

I've had quite a few bad teachers in the past. Three of which I had last year. My math teacher was just awful, not funny (though "she" tried to be), and I didn't learn anything. Math was my best subject up until last year. Then comes my English teacher from last year. He had to be the worst teacher I've ever had. He always looked for one answer. If someone gave him another acceptable answer that wasn't what he was looking for, he would either tell them they were wrong, or ask other people until someone gave him the answer. There were many other reason's why he was an awful teacher, but I wont go into that any further. I guess you could say my Biology teacher last year was my favorite bad teacher. Whenever we had homework she wouldn't tell us when she was going to collect it. She usually collected it before a test, but on rare occasions she would collect it out of no where. She was basically a midget. People would write swears up on top of the board where she wouldn't be able to reach them. Sometimes kids would even hide a yard stick she used to turn on/off the TV. Ahhh memories...

Does how popular a group is effect how much you like their music? I know some people that hate anything mainstream, because aparantly if something's mainstream it can't be good. Those are the people that are always telling me "x band lost all their talent when they went mainstream", and "once a band goes mainstream they don't work as hard". I know other people who just listen to music if they play it on the radio and/or it's popular, because they think only the good bands can go mainstream. Personally I like to listen to a mix of mainstream and non-mainstream music. If I like what I hear, I listen to it.

I have a few friends that watch anime every once in a while, but only one friend that likes anime as much as I do. I know of a few people at my school (besides my friends) that like anime, but I haven't bothered talking to them. I think most people just don't understand that anime is ment for adults as well as children.

If you want to get into Metallica my favorite album is Master of Puppets (so you should buy it... now). If you want some really dark, raw, metal I would recommend Decapitated and Carcass (those are 2 bands). I would also stay away from most of the the nu-metal bands.
Originally posted by Dagger IX1 Personally, I find underage drinking--as well as drunkeness at any age--pretty disgusting. To me, it shows a lack of willpower. It seems that most teens drink because they're bored, because they don't want to feel awkward and out of place, or because they're trying to be rebellious. There's absolutely no reason for a teenager to drink. It's dangerous, stupid, and basically pointless. If anything, drinking makes one act less mature. Breaking the law for the sake of fun is a pretty immature thing to do anyway. ~Dagger~
You say there's no reason for anyone to get drunk. Then you said there's no reason for a teenager to drink. Are you implying there are reason's for people of age to drink, but not get drunk?
-
I don't see a problem with drinking as long as you don't get wasted (and if you like getting wasted, that doesn't have to be a big deal for anyone else until you do something really stupid). The thing is, drinking shouldn't be such a big deal. In fact, if they took away the drinking age kids probably wouldn't do it as much, because they wouldn't be rebelling. I am 16 (almost 17), and I drink every once in a while, but I've only gotten myself drunk two or three times. I don't drink because I think it's cool, I drink because I like to.

What's this? Someone actually takes Degrassi seriously, and on top of that they like it? Heh, my friends and I watch it just to laugh. It just seems very unrealistic to us. Maybe that's just because our school is nothing like the one on the show. I do like Daria though (It's another show on The N. It was on MTV for a while so you may know it from there.)

Starfox2 is now my favorite snes game. The final beta recently leaked onto the internet and I got to play it through the wonders of emulation (Which I assume is legal, because it never came out. Just don't IM me asking for it, because I'm not going to send it). It's a lot like Starfox 64, which is the reason Nintendo didn't release it. When it comes to games that actually came out, I would have to say Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country 2 were my favorites. I'm really into side scrollers, and those just happened to be the ones I enjoyed. I grew up on mario, and Donkey Kong was funny/bizzare. I mean where else will you see a monkey riding through lava on a Rino that's on a balloon killing giant bees?

I'd prefer Eminem over 50 Cent any day. In fact, Dr. Dre and Eminem are the only mainstream rappers that I like. I hate 50 Cent's style, and I especially hate his song "wangster". Oh, and how could I leave out the fact that he was "shot 9 times", (though he has his shirt off at concerts with no visible scars) he must be SOO tough, and we all know tough people make good rappers.

You can always catch some Zs in study hall (assuming you have one). That's basicly what I did all of last year. Today was my first day of school this year, and my study hall teacher said he didn't care if people slept as long as they didn't bother others. I assume lots of study hall teachers feel the same way, just ask.

My friend happens to be (or he was) a big Rammstein fan. We went to a concert together, and it was quite amazing. The lead singer came out on fire, and stayed on fire for the first song. A few of the band members blew fire, shot fire, etc throughout the show.

how many here do some kind of archery?
XeEmO replied to moon-scar demon's topic in General Discussion
I'm starting my 8th year of Archery. I go to many tournaments, and I really enjoy the sport. I need to get a new bow soon though, because I've had the one I'm using now since my first year of Archery. My room is full of Archery awards. That's partly because there aren't very many people in my age group that compete in my area. There have been a few years with good competition, unfortunately those were the first few years I competed. For those of you who do archery, what?s your highest score? My highest is around 280, but the highest I?ve ever shot during a qualifying shoot was 243 (I always choke). -
It was a pretty good show when it started out. However, I think they should have cancelled it long before they did. Once Cory started going to college, the show not only lost its charm, but it just got ridiculous. Cory was acting as weird as ever, and they were running out of ideas.

Haha...I watched that a few nights ago on HBO. I was surprised that it had Crispin Glover. I thought it was actually one of his better rolls. Besides that, I didn't really like it much. It didn't make any sense, and it was too much of a kiddy show for me.

I have around 70 or so real CDs, but then my brother has well over 100 more that I can borrow pretty much whenever I want. I have quite a few burned cds, maybe around 40.
The ending was interesting, but a bit confusing to me, as I've said. At first, I didn't understand how Donnie got back. Now that I think about it though, I think that he did everything he was supposed to and came to terms with whatever was troubling him. Furthermore, he put everyone who was miserable on their right path.
When I saw it I just thought that time shifted. I haven't seen the movie for a while, but didn't he have the power to see portals? Couldn't he have just gone through one? - I think I'll have to watch the movie again so I can get a better understanding of what happened.
I rented it yesterday. Right now I'm on vacation, but there's nothing to do at night. I can't get online(I can durring the day, but it's 28k.), or watch tv. I can however watch video tapes on my TV/VCR. I thought it was pretty good, but my opinion may have been altered a bit, because it was better than anything else I could have been doing. My favorite part was the
rocket skates
.
